In the darkest corners of the deepest night
In times of peril, in times of fright
Our dear friend Fella, with his costume (so nice!),
Weaves you a tale of his Halloween night.
He came from his home, dressed in rags
His costume, this year, a green old hag
A false hump back and a decaying bag
In which to carry all his candy (if it gets too full, it'll drag)
He went from house to house ringing
The doorbell and then, when the door opened, singing
"Trick or treat, smell my feet, gimme something good to eat!"
Then laughing faces, masked or not
Fill his bag with candy non-stop
Until he reached that one house at the end of the street.
He rang and yelled, "Trick or treat".
He heard a quiet creepy voice then say,
"You want a treat, but trick for you today!"
And poor little Fella was swept away
Into a place where mean things stood
Snatching and reaching, trying to grab his hood.
Almost stopping him and slowing his pace
For at the end of the dark there was
