Tired, Exhausted, DrainedTired, Exhausted, Drained:Tired, Exhausted, Drained in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
I am bloody exhausted! Drained to the core of my soul.
I wake up every morning with bags; burning ever deeper into my eyes.
Sunken masses of flesh, reminding me that the dreamscape -
One in which I sought refuge; is now buried where it lies.
Yet still I force myself to trudge through this wilderness.
Forever caught in a moon drenched, delusory twilight.
An endless cycle of failure and renewed hope;
Giving rise to the very stubbornness that defines me.

Coward of a ManCoward of a Man:Coward of a Man in Free Verse More Like This
You stand there whinin', cryin' crocodile tears and playin' victim.
Ye eyes demand pity, but yer lips are spewin' nothin' but lies.
Flowery speeches o' harmony and unification;
It's bollocks and snake-oil I say!
I ask ye, as someone who aspires t' be a leader:
What exactly are ye worth?
Who exactly are ya, and what in th' bloody hell makes you worth followin'?
Now I've watched ye fer a long time, and I've known ye fer even longer -
Ye always stand there beggin', askin' us fer help, askin' fer a handout;
But yer hands are clean, uncalloused, and completely free from sweat or toil.
Instead, ye make us promises; promises as empty as air and about half as useful!
In the end, here ye are again, callin' fer our unification, callin' fer togetherness.
Isn't that just yer own way of hidin' behind the labour and efforts of others?
While we stand out in th' front, ye sit behind and give us speeches,
Ye tell us that we're comin' together fer the good of us all
You Left Me StrongerYou Left Me Stronger:You Left Me Stronger in Urban & Spoken Word More Like This
Hey there, it's been awhile, do you remember me?
I guess you might not, since I wasn't very important to you.
You know, I spent so many days thinking about - what I did wrong
I questioned if maybe, I was at fault or if I was screwed up.
I thought a lot about the things you said...
The things that were my fault, my problems.
I took them to heart at first, but then I realised you were wrong.
I realised that you are selfish and ugly on the inside.
On the surface you pretended to care, but like a cancer;
You amputate someone the moment you think they've gone bad.
You hide from the rigours of life and only emerge like a parasite
When everything is good - when everything is fine and dandy.
I used to think that I was afraid of you leaving,
But now I know, that you've left me stronger than I was before.
You know, this was supposed to be an emotional whine; an emotional spill,
Maybe I was supposed to cry tears and beg you to come back, but you know wha

My verses are ugly and I admit to the fact
I can't use pretty language when I'm working with rap
Because the things that I write, are just the things that I feel
I ain't an Edgar Allan Poe or a Danielle Steel
And I'll be honest with you, I've got an envy inside
Because some poets got a flow that's as smooth as the tide
I read some stuff that they write, it's just so dope I ignite
Burning shame and my anger at the beautiful sight
And like birds of a feather, they're flocking together
These poets are the Gods and I'm nailed by the weather
But as the rain pours down, lightning resound;
I try to write pretty words but my lips remain bound
So deeply silenced by fear - the darkness I hear,
Afraid to be unloved by the ones I hold dear
I've hit the limit of time; my lyrical crime
These words that I've lived are just turning to grime.
So I wish I had their talent; just a sliver of that
If their skill was a mountain then I've broken my back

The kind of darkness said to have made
shadow monsters of seen-too-much eyes
& the kind of war lands made of
desecrated, dandelion wrists.
I am the wind, the morphine pump
& I’ve carved my bones into stars.
I wear them around my neck
like outward sun marrow
warming my carotid pulse.
These little glow-in-the-dark blankets
aren’t enough to stifle the sounds;
but my anatomy never seemed to fit
together the right way anyway.

You are nothing more
than a dead star
with a pretty name.

When we danced in the rain
And we laughed till our stomachs hurt
And we didn't think of the problems in our lives?
That was the best day in my life.
I was with the one person who made me laugh.
I was with the one person who cared.
Or so I thought.
Others began paying attention to you.
You became popular, a somebody.
And when you joined the rest of the world,
You forgot about me.
You were a poser the whole time.
You never did care about me.
You used me to climb to the top.
What a fake.

Or is this the new type of normal?
Everywhere I look I see people with problems:
Depression, Bipolar, Borderline, Anxiety...
Is there a person left who isn't mental?
Or is this what the world is now?
Has the whole world gone psychotic?
I see my friends and they all have problems.
They're all just like me:
Broken, tarnished, hurting, wanting life to be different...
Is there anyone who doesn't wish things could change?
Is anyone truly happy with their life?
Is there anyone who wouldn't trade their lot in a heartbeat?
Is there anyone who's still whole inside?
Or has the world succumbed to darkness?
We're all mad here.
DawnDawn in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
How dawns the morn so very bright and bold
that night's dark face can only turn away;
and all our dreams in sunlit skies are sold
as eventide gives pardon to the day.
She feels the cloak of dreams unclasp their sway
and fading softly spun into the gold,
that she will rise from sleep and make her way
ere morning grows another second old.
DOL-Prologue-:Gay Story:A blue sky with gray clouds covers the sky. Light from the sun appears through the leaves of forest. I seem to be lying in the middle of a path. How I got here, I do not know. But the only way out of this forest is walking down on the path. So I get up on my feet, brushing off the stones and the grass of me and take my first step. I wobble a little bit, as if my legs were like wet noodles. Still, I had no choice but to walk down the path. After a while, the feeling disappeared and I walked down even further.DOL-Prologue-:Gay Story: in Teen More Like This
How long I was walking, I had no idea. It may have been hours, walking down a path through some woods I never been in. But, this seems to familiar....like I've been in here before. Yet I can't even tell where I am still. Tired of seeing the same scenery over and over again, I began to run to see if there is a town up a head.
I ran so fast, I thought I was going to time warp into another dimension. But perhaps that was the best, since I've been in this darn forest with no end. But a

can flesh approach the winter and the night?
touch the stars and breathe their misty chill?
stand before the ire of men?

My blood is the thunder.
Cut me and hear my fury roar volcanic.
I am not so human as you think,
built as I am of word and time.
