Hi there! Thanks for viewing my image.
I am the creator of and model of the costume, Nightingale Armor from the video game Elderscrolls V: Skyrim. These lovely photos were taken by the talented Andrew Snucins Photography, www.andrewsnucins.com.

I play Skyrim and as I was wondering what costume to make I decided to just go for my favorite one! My character is always in this armor.

About the costume: I began planning and collecting materials in September 2012. Most of it is sewn out of pleather and vinyl which I then treated with black paint, silver spray paint, hot glue, model magic, and way more black paint. I made the pattern by cutting out pieces of paper and holding them up my body to see if they would be the right size and shape. Then I used those paper pieces to cut out my fabric. Very time consuming as I don't have a dress form. One day I'll get one. I completed the costume 4 months later in December.

If you would like to see WIP photos of this costume you can visit my Facebook page at [link]

There's also an extensive How-to on my blog now: [link]

I also have an Etsy.com shop up now too: [link]

Friend me, add me, like me, circle me too as I'm on Google+ as well.

Cosplay! I am on a Nightingale cosplay kick right now, but hey, if you spend 4-5 months working on a costume you need to get your times worth of fun from it! There is still so much I could do with this costume we shall have fun for for years to come.

This weekend my photographer, Andrew Snucins, and I hiked into the woods and took photos of me modeling my costume. I spent the last week upgrading it with a new mask, more folds to the skirting, a scabbard for my sword, and touching it up from some damage that happen at the last shoot.
This costume is originally designed by Bethesda Softworks for their videogame Elderscrolls V: Skyrim. Called Nightingale Armor, it is a set your character receives in the game for completing a group of Thieves Guild quests. The bow and sword you see in my pictures below are also made by me and I tried to make them look as close to the game versions as possible.

I know pink hair isn't lore friendly but I really detest wigs and just wanted some shots of my face. They turned out to be the best photos of the shoot.

The prop was made for this cosplay: [link]

Yes it transforms!
I have worked three weeks on it and now it´s finally finished XDD
In 9th Sept. (yesterday XD) I came from the Connichi in Kassel (I was there the whole weekend) and it was very exciting^^ I wear my lightning 13-2 cosplay the first time (only for a half day, because I want have fun and involve at the convention program without any sliding parts... O___o)
I haven´t transform it into swordmode because IT IS TOO HEAVY!!! I can´t hold it for more than 2 seconds horizontally in the handle.
The weight of gunmode is acceptable, but not perfect for longer time than 2 hours...)
It is made out of plastic and about 1,40 m long in sword-mode.
It stays in form with bolts that you can screw in and unscrew.

Here you find a kind of tutorial: [link]

the progress so far XDD In the left and middle picture I don´t wear shoes, because they are by my grandma XD
I don´t look like ligthning XD

The armor is still unfinished, and I hate my pauldrons XDD I hate, hate, hatehatehate it!! XDD
I had to make the chest armor new how you see, because it was too large and now it isn´t looking really 3-dimensional... and there are many dents in it... so I don´t like it, too.
The colour of the imitation leather isn´t the right one.

And it hurts!!! XDD I thought my legs and feet are dying XDD
On a scale of 1 to 10 the comfort of the armor is -999999999999999999!!! And I do not exaggerate!! O____o
This is why I won´t go to the convention which I had planned to go with... XD

After my final exams in June, I will make the gunblade. I have planned how the transformation will work and I hope I can implement it XD I estimate the progress will take about three month (yes, I am slow XD) hhmmm... we will see how it looks like XDDD

Should have introduce abit on this Repentia. She's no ordinary Repentia. Yes if you have read Faith & Fire or know the backgrounds of Sisters of Battle regarding Saint Celestine, I'm portraying her before she turn into a saint. Thus, the same grey eyes.

Tried a new technique to make my patterns for weapons, mainly because the weapons I've done in the past have been, for the most part, geometric and straight forward in their design and Final Fantasy X's swords, like Brotherhood, Masamune, and Nirvana, are very much more fluid in their profiles. So here's the process I used, I hope others find it useful!

P.S. You'll want to full view it or even download it
