Hi there! Thanks for viewing my image.
I am the maker of and model of the costume, Nightingale Armor from the video game Elderscrolls V: Skyrim. These lovely photos were taken by the talented Andrew Snucins Photography, www.andrewsnucins.com.
The Nightingales are the original concept of Bethesda.

I play Skyrim and as I was wondering what costume to make I decided to just go for my favorite one! My character is always in this armor.

About the costume: I began planning and collecting materials in September 2012. Most of it is sewn out of pleather and vinyl which I then treated with black paint, silver spray paint, hot glue, model magic, and way more black paint. I made the pattern by cutting out pieces of paper and holding them up my body to see if they would be the right size and shape. Then I used those paper pieces to cut out my fabric. Very time consuming as I don't have a dress form. One day I'll get one. I completed the costume 4 months later in December.

There's a humble write up on my blog of how I made this costume here: beebichu.blogspot.ca/

Hi thanks for viewing my image. This is my cosplay of a Nightingale from Bethesda's Skyrim videogame. I made everything you see in this photo.

This photoshoot had a very dark atmosphere. I wanted it to reflect the dark lifestyle of the Nightingales and their common saying; "Walk with the Shadows."

I've made this set of weapons for a friend who will cosplay as a warrior from SKYRIM.
This set is made of a steel sword [link] a steel axe [link] a steel battle axe [link] and the Rueful axe [link]
They're all made of MDF wood, and painted with acrylics.

Here's some photos of my Rueful Axe, from the game SKYRIM !! It's the axe you can obtain from The Daedra called Vil Clavicus, and it's also the only weapon that can kill Barbas the dog.
I've made it as part of a set of weapons for a friend who will cosplay as a warrior from SKYRIM.

Daedric sword !!!
In Skyrim, I'm playing a wood elf ranger, so my main weapon is obviously a bow, but I'm always carrying my daedric sword too ... just in case ^^ That's the main reason that pushed me into making one replica of it (and also because I find it pretty cool looking).
The base of the sword is MDF, covered with a layer of resin that makes it more tough. And it's painted with acrylics.

And here is it, my first Stalhrim Dagger :)
Made of 7 separate pieces of resin and polyurethane. Used 7 screws to keep everything together.
Rabbit fur and leather stripes for the handle.
It has a few bubbles here and there still it looks nice.

I hope you like it.
Will do a few more, but it's very time consuming… haah…

weight: 240 grams
length: 46 cm

Here's a short video of it: [link]

This amazing costume is made by my model : C. Erring and she also entered the cosplay contest at Desucon with this. So many great details and I just love it all.

If you want to use this photo, please ask first.

Don't forget to check out these costumes also!

That is my very first attempt in cosplaying and it was pretty rushed... shouldn´t have started it right before a convention... Nevertheless it survived the 168.000 visitors and several train journeys with just a few cracks around the shoelaces.
I was uncertain about his boots since they actually look different on the samples (they were shiny golden metal in the loading-screen but looked like rugged brown leather in the inventory-screen). The same goes for the clothes, since they were anthracite on the promotional render but more greenish in the actual game. So ehm: it´s something. ^^°

materials: XPS- and rubber foam, acrylics, canvas-fabric, 500 sheets of copy-paper, a lot of glue
costs: ~ 80 €
time: ~ 2,5 weeks

This is a close up of what I already uploaded lol

Looks pretty good, added some sharpening just because it looks a bit more fierce with it.

See the Nightingale armor here.
