Rabbit Chapter 6Chapter 6
The robots sat quietly for a moment as Peter left the room. None of the robots knew quite what to say. The Spine slid his hand over Rabbit's carefully and Hatchworth added his hand to the pile. The brothers felt connected to each other in that moment of perfect silence through such a small gesture.
Michael walked into the room quietly and set about his work quietly. After an hour the humans of the manor began to join them once again. Tension hung thick in the air, filling the room and suffocating all who entered with fear and sorrow.
As time ran short The Spine grew desperate for his brother, he turned to Michael Reed pleading, "Is there anything you can do to help him? Anything at all?" Michael sighed, he had been hoping it wouldn't come to this. "There is one thing I can do, but it's dangerous, even attempting to do it could kill himů.." The Spine didn't know what to say to Michael. "D-do itů." Rabbit croaked out amongst a sea of static. The Spine looked at his brother in s
The Rainbow Bridge IntroYou know, it's been called many things. Heaven, the Golden Gates, the place where people go when they die, but not once have I've heard it been called this. People want to go places, whether it be a store, a town, a big city or a different Country. We all get bored of the same place once being their for too long. Where do I want to go? Well, I want to go to a place where only dead people can go, that one place people might believe in. Heaven I think its called. No don't think for an instant that I'm suicidal. But, if you think I'm crazy for wanting to have a near death experience just to find out if this place exists or not, then call me the Craziest person in the world.
"Alistaaaiiiiirrrr!~" She banged on the door, yelling at me through the door, trying to get an invitation into my room. I sighed. She wouldn't listen an
After the warWhat if there’s a reason The Spine is so uptight and “boring” as Rabbit occasionally puts it. What if the reason he behaves so humanly is not because of his programming but because of something else…After the war in General Fiction More Like This
1945. The robots finally return home after Germany surrenders to the Allied Forces. Needless to say their collective chassis were in dire need of maintenance and a deep clean after the battering, mud and blood they all took in the trenches. They’d lost a lot of good friends out there. Rabbit and The Jon, the more childlike of the group, were the worst affected. Although the tragedy of war was no stranger to them, it was never any easier to deal with over time. Upgrade hadn’t spoken the entire trip back. Having been a strictly medical based bot, she had to deal with all manner of horrific injuries. Her face was still spattered with blood from the countless soldiers in their last fits of coughing and laboured breathing. It was impossible to tell how she w

“G-g-g-gezundheit… oh, oh my… ACHOO!!”
“You two feeling any better?”
Rabbit and Hatchworth glowered at an obnoxiously happy Spine carrying Junior in one arm and a pot of vitamin soup in his other as he walked into the room. A little revenge. Served piping hot.
Rabbit sniffed hard as a long gloopy strand of oil dangled from her oxidised nose, “Sh-sh-shaddup.”
The Spine held back a haughty laugh and set the pot down at their feet before tucking the blankets back around his snotty siblings.
“You were warned that this would happen…”
“M-m-m-meh,” Rabbit huffed, puffing a small cloud of steam and pulled the blanket up over her ears as she pinned them back with a scowl.
“W-w-w-well it-it w-was that or-or we wouldn’t g-g-g-get J-Junior b-back,” Hatchworth shuddered.
“That is true. And I really can’t thank you guys enough… honestly.”
“You were r

Hatchworth’s log entry 1: 1938. The humans suggested I keep a log of events while I am down in the vault to help keep track of reality. I could note down any strange experiences or significant feelings. Not that anything could be stranger than the very one that put me down here in the first place. I feel terrible for Two and Three. This was not an easy decision for them. Poor Spine was inconsolable. I just hope Rabbit will be able to take care of him whilst I cannot. They say it won’t be too long before they can find a way to fix me. They identified the problem, but they need to keep everyone safe whilst they work on a solution. And in all honesty, I feel a lot better about it that way, knowing everyone in my family is secure. I hope little Wanda will stop crying soon.
Hatchworth’s log entry 2: 1939. The repairs are taking longer than expected. The fracture is worse than the humans anticipated. Pappy is getting sicker and cannot help and so it is taking longer to
Ch-ch-ch-changes! [pt.2 of 2]Rabbit slumped gracelessly in a high back chair. Patience was certainly not a component of her ageing programming. She was becoming increasingly restless with the prolonged wait. She perked up slightly seeing Spine rounding the corner into the sitting room and cracked a wide grin at him. He merely looked up slightly and shook his head slowly.Ch-ch-ch-changes! [pt.2 of 2] in Sci-Fi More Like This
“More d-d-delays?” Rabbit huffed.
She whined loudly and slid further down the chair and onto the floor in a crumpled heap. The Spine silently snickered to himself and knelt down beside her.
“M-maybe this wasn’t such a g-g-g-good id-dea.”
“What? Folding yourself into a metal origami shape? I’d heartily agree with that.”
Rabbit shot a filthy scowl at him.
“N-no ya big d-d-dummins. I meant the whole… you know…”
Spine raised an eyebrow at her.
“…the change” she finished quietly, motioning at her entire chassis.

Hey folks! It is now 6pm. You know what that means. It is interview time! Let us begin.
Here is how the interview works: You can all ask questions and chat freely in the chatroom called AtAChat. I will be copy-pasting your questions to Alexiuss and he will answer them in live time in ATAInterview.
We conduct the interview this way to avoid having the artist spammed with too many questions all at once, and to reduce text clutter so that you can all read the artist's responses to the questions.
A special thank you goes out to our lovely mods, ~Melancholy-Minds and ~Twilight-Zero!
Please be aware that we do our best to get as many questions answered as possible, however, if we do not choose your question to send to the artist, please do not be offended. It does not mean it was not a good question. It is just not possible for the artist to answer all questions. Thank you for your understanding.
Welcome to ASKtheARTIST. My name is *thefluffyshrimp and today I have

"I hear Pripyat is pleasant this time of year."
Sniper stood watch, just outside the old travel agency building. Aside from somehow withstanding the rest of the block collapsing around it, the shop was impressive for having reasonably preserved brochures. Captain and Pilot would often amuse themselves by planning trips to countries that no longer existed, and Engineer would gather what they discarded for kindling. Whenever Sniper grew sufficiently bored, he'd call out with something he thought was witty.
It was a bit like that, being on watch; you'd either say something funny and die knowing your sense of humour was too good for this world, or you'd say nothing and die without validating your ego.
"Actually," Engineer spoke up from the Visit Asia section, a finger tracing over dusty advertisements as he moved along the aisle, "One of the last GOOD directorate broadcasts sent out was a list of anomalies brought on by the apocalypse, and apparently Chernobyl became the least radiated pla
