Jack FrostXReader: Jack's Past
(This story takes place before Jack fell in to the lake, before he became Jack Frost.)
The winter air outside was cold and crisp, not making your job any easier. Your mother had asked you to feed the chickens this morning- or at least the chickens that were left. The harsh winter had taken many of their lives and the eggs that fed your family with them. Three little clucking chickens that were huddled in their pen came close as you spread out the feed out in front of them. They pecked at it quickly while you looked around.
It was a quiet little village with dirt paths covered in horseshoe prints and log houses. A few people were out doing their morning chores like you, some waving as they passed by. There were small white patches of snow from the storm that had taken the lives of many farm animals around town. This winter had been one of the harshest for all that lived there, along with your family. However, the town was nice and peaceful, and everyone helped out one another. Not

I ventured out into the garden (after using the water sprites from the sink to put the fire out), where there was a small dog house sat in the corner. In front of it was a small food/water bowl, presumably for the non-existent dog. I noticed a sign in the garden saying that I should keep the noise down. I sighed and I watered the plants out of boredom. Some of the water got in the bowl and a ghost dog appeared and started to bark quite loudly

I looked up and saw a bag of bones appear of the ground and that gave me an idea. I hoovered up the skeleton-man and a part of his body went flying, landing in front of the dog. It waddled over and started to gnaw on it, which I used as my cue to get it in the Poltergust. Believe me, it was harder than it sounds. That little bastard put up a good fight as I captured him. You were always so loud, and yet I don't remember the things we did together. And Ludwig…I know you were always there for me. I loved you—no—I still love you, and no matter what, I promise I won't forget that."
A chill wind blew through the yard. Sensing the doctor's urgency, you placed your hands onto the brother's graves and bowed your head.

You were at least ten minutes early to your first lesson in your new music school in Austria; it wasn't that you were afraid of being lateyou just wanted to make sure you were prepared and ready to go to make the most out of your time.
Without hesitation, you entered Room D-4 when you heard someone playing.
It must be the student from the previous lesson, you assumed and treaded quietly to a nearby seat to take out your most prized possession: your double bass.
After you tightened the strings on your bow, you sat and waited for the student to finish his practice session. He was playing on the school's donated grand piano. The instrument was old and worn, seasoned from being played through and through, hours after hours of practice from the students and instructors that had given its keys a go. Even so, he made it sing. His fingers glided effortlessly across the keyboard, hitting every note with a crisp, clear ring as the hammers struck the coiled wir

“Alfred, I like you.”
The person who you had a crush on for nearly three years was standing right in front of you and staring at you. Before, you had only stolen glances at him from various points of your classrooms afraid that he or some other classmate might catch you looking at him. Alfred wasn’t a particularly smart student, but just to increase your chances of being in the same classes with him, you remained in preparatory courses instead of the honors and advanced courses your teachers and counselors had recommended. Now, after many years of watching him from afar, you finally summed up your courage and confronted your aching feelings and fears by saying the three simple yet critical words.
“Say what?” Alfred replied. You hadn’t been expecting something like that.
Did I say it too softly? you wondered. Your face was beet-red, but nevertheless, you decided to try again.

“That’s because you’re drunk, shithead,” you growled as you continued to keep your eyes on the road. This was the first time you had actually driven Allistor home. In the past, his friends or brothers would have driven him, but tonight had been a Kirkland family reunion. The other Kirklands had stayed to chat, but Allistor had work tomorrow. Seeing as how the two of you lived close to one another and knew each other fairly well, it only made sense that you would be his chauffer for the night.

Eldur Mountain was quite the sight to behold. While Lukas had claimed that your destination would have been sighted within only two days of travelling, the thick wind and snow had obscured your vision to only a few meters in front of you. Now, after many days of travelling and trudging through the snow with netiss fat still stuck to your cloak and hair, the mountain was poking up from beyond the treetops at a grand distance.
Beyond the bowled valley of trees melding into the rocky terrain, an ominous peak lay rising above the clouds buried away from the snow. It was much closer than you had expected since you hadn't been able to see it as early as Lukas had predicted. Still, there was the problem of how you were going to go about scaling the mountain without Lukas' wings.

Lukas remained silent. You rolled your eyes.

This is when he starts really differing from the Santa of stories. His eyes sit beneath a pair of extremely thick black eyebrows that are accented with a lighter grey here and there, the hair becoming longer at the curve, flaring up and out like the flames of a fire, giving the illusion that his eyes are opened wider than they really are.
Blond and dark grey highlights streak his otherwise white beard and whiskers, which stretch down to the end of his chest. The tips of the hair brush the top of a thick sash-like belt that has a pattern that matches the ones on the stained glass windows and found all aro

The maids nearly tripped over themselves in offering suggestions. Sewing, singing, dancing, reading, cooking, or painting. You shook your head ruefully to each one, knowing that all were considered to be essential talents of a young respectable rich woman. And you weren't planning to be a chameleon to the crowd any time soon.
Then one of the maids suggested archery, though it wasn't most recommended amongst high society ladies. The other two made scandalized noises and dubious looks at her, detesting the fact of you going out for a man's sport. Your sharp ears, however, immediately perked up a bit, sensing a challenging sort of hobby a mile before it came, and there's nothing you like better than a fresh
Cold War: Run, run, as fast as you canPitch near jumps out of his pale ghost skin when he sees you, eyes widening to large angry dilates. Tooth, on the other hand, starts shouting the filthiest words you can possibly imagine, spewing them like a crazily erupting geyser out of control. It’s like she’s exploded and these horrible words come gushing out of her mouth, making her look like a total disgrace.Cold War: Run, run, as fast as you can in Romance More Like This
“Enough!” You say, holding up your hands, rising from the floor in one fluid motion. “I don’t care what you have to say, or what you think, all it is that Jack’s hurt because of me. It’s my entire fault!”
All you can see on both their faces are mangled disbelief. You’re not convincing anyone so far, which is really bad news. Jack's life is ticking away slowly, second by second, inch by inch. Every minute means a missed beat of his heart.
“YOUR fault?” Pitch asks voice silky as the sea, and deadly quiet. Before you can gripe out a word of defe
Cold War: Rebel, RevelYou find the bar into complete craziness. And when you mean crazy, it is over the top, full to the brimming, chaos. Dancers are hurriedly dressing in their slinky dance gowns, some brushing their makeup on as quickly as a wink, and some shrieking that they can't find their earrings or jewelry. Honestly.Cold War: Rebel, Revel in Romance More Like This
But there's desperation in the air. All the dancers are jumpy and rather nervous.
Tooth bangs open the door, mouth white as a ghost, her usually gorgeous hair now in utter shambles, and her eyes are red with crying.
"What happened?!" Some girls cry out.
“Oh, it’s….it’s too…horrible!” Tooth manages, and then bursts out in a wave of tears. A few dancers help her settle down, and one gives her a handkerchief.
Tooth settles down for a few seconds, then cries, “Jack’s dead!”
“WHAT?!” all the dancers scream out. “How?! When?!”
She dries the very corners of her pale amethyst violet (now red tipped) eyes

Yes. You knew. Or at least, you thought so.
"I can't give you all you want, but I can do more so if you have a loving mother to take care for you."
"Why, Papa? Are you sad that Mama's gone?"
Your father chuckles, a little wistfully, perhaps? "No, no one can replace your mama's loving soul. I just need a wife to carry on with the household, and to take care of your pretty face." He answers to your innocent question, rumpling up your carefully brushed back hair playfully.
"Oh, I cannot wait, Papa! When is my new mama coming?" You ask gleefully, jumping up and down on the spot.
"In a few minutes, my angel girl. Soon you shall meet your new mother, and you'll have two new sisters too!"
You gasp and squeal in delight. You've always be

Crunch! A chocolate slathered biscuit stick slips past the winter hellion’s teeth, the molars setting the tasty snack into crumbs. Before he can reach for another one, a hand silently reaches out and slaps his own, leaving a stinging mark on the back of his palm.
“I think you’ve had quite enough of those, Ice Cube,” you reprovingly remark, snatching the Pepero box away from the Guardian of Fun. Instead of withdrawing his paper white hand from the thin package, chastised, Jack only grabs the package back, and instantly breaks off another stick between his teeth.
“There is no such thing as too much Pocky, ______________________. And even if you do disagree, which I can see you’re about to do right now, I still won’t stop. Deal with it.”
Cold War: Mi amourThe next day, everything was back to normal, Tooth being leader of the dance group once more, and you sliding into the shadows of the bar. The only conflict that you had against yourself was that nasty snide insults were taking place behind Tooth’s back, whispering that she should step aside for you.Cold War: Mi amour in Romance More Like This
Tooth isn’t stupid or shallow, so she knows what’s going on with the audience. But she has become rather cold towards you, which makes you all the more nervous.
Not that you needed all of this stress. Oh, you already had a cold shouldered Tooth, an awkward Jack, and a hard management of your new salary, what else could possibly go wrong?
Pitch Black had started to take a creepy liking towards you, starting out slowly from Monday night. He flirted with you, toasted off glasses of champagne to you.
“I’d be happy to be your partner, _________.” He had said a twisted smirk on his frightening face. “And maybe your future employer.”

You hear a guttural, primitive scream.
You smile in your dreamlike stance. Jack was still caring for you, however much he was in trouble.
"No! _____________, ________________, please, wake up, wake UP!" His frantic voice drifts through your stupor.
Here he screams again.
"What did you do to her? Hasn't she suffered enough!?"
"She's alive," Vermilion's voice rings out, clear as a brass bronze bell on Sunday morning. "But only just. You have 1 minute to save her. Good luck, handsome," she replies with a definite wink on her face.
"Tooth! Pitch! I need help here!"
Hurried steps are vibrated through the floorboards and tiles, some of them tottering high ones, other tramping ugly ones that stomped on each floor tile.
Pitch's smooth voice cuts through Jack's mental breakdown.
