Louise was a young girl that loved the sea too much. Every night, as the Moon rose, she would dance with the waves and cover herself with sea foam, completely giving herself to her love to the salty waters of the eternal oceanic river.
Her love for the water and her dances was not ignored by the forces of Nature, and every evening the waves would anxiously wait for her k
GreenAura loved the forest. Every morning before school she would walk through the green realm of life and harmony to bring some water to needed plants and to help any hurt or ill animal.Green in Personal More Like This
Little she knew, the forest loved her back. With passion and desire. Every plant she helped, every animal she helped, only made rhe forest want her more... love her more... the birds sang beautiful songs that worshiped the skies and the earth whenever they saw she was coming, and they would very often bring her fruits and nectars that Aura would gladly accept and eat.
Deers would come out from hiding and lick her beautiful cheeks, making her giggle with delight. She then would check their bodies and remove parasites and take care every wound
It had happened every day during the last two years, but the last few months her visits became rarer and shorter. Whenever she came the animals would cover her of petals and fruits, of caresses and songs.

Breathing Underwater (Ch. 9: Day One)Breathing Underwater (Ch. 9: Day One) in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Vince got up early the next morning, careful not to disturb Aestus. Man...Aestus...he still could not believe she was here. Just like that! A newly reborn Lontra! But, her lack of a will to talk much about how it had come to happen did not sit well with Vince at all. There was something off. Something wrong. He could feel it. Which was why he was up so early. Before his shift would start that day, he would go and see Turquoise, and get what Aestus would not give him. Answers. He hated leaving her...just when a possible life was starting here and now for them...but he had to make sure she was going to be safe...
He left Aestus the clothes that Lan had left them last night near her side of the bed. He hoped she would know how to dress herself...or that someone might help her...if it came to that, he hoped Lan would be the one...he felt as if she would be the only responsible one to help her. As he set them down

The environment of the ocean always calmed Vince down. The smell of the salt air, the sound of the waves breaking on the sand, the feeling of the water as it washed against his legs toward him, and away from him as if trying to pull him into it's clutches. He smiled at the thought, but mainly smiled at the simple thought of his lover who lived in it. She was laying with him on the sand right now. Her light blue body cuddled up along his dirty brown body. He didn't know how long they had been like this. Tonight seemed like a very calm night. A night they had not had for a while. Maybe since the first days of their relationship.
They had not gone swimming, had not spoken much, hey just lay on the shore, enjoying each others company. And despite the lack of activity, Vince found himself at peace and very happy. He felt his face slowly fall until it rested on Aestus' head. He wrapped his arm around her waist, scooting

The air felt very cool to Vince. Very... He was in a very comfortable sleep. He was dreaming. It was a familiar dream, one he had many times before, especially after involving himself with Aestus in this relationship. He was underwater in this dream. Breathing. He could see her clearly in the dark. See her...and stay with her.
Strangely his breathing seemed difficult. As if something was clogging his nose. He gave a mental sigh. He knew he was dreaming. He had likely caught a small cold or something. Strong one be it that. It was very uncomfortable to even try to breath through it. Nothing was getting through. He also felt it strange that he didn't feel completely asleep. He felt...somewhat conscious. Like his brain was half awake for some reason. Even breathing seemed...straining. Like there was something pushing against the chest.
He then heard a beeping noise begi

The cool night air felt nice against Vincent's fur. He sat in his jeep, and rested his eyes. He could hear the ocean waves not too far away, but was listening mainly to the music playing from the jeep stereo. It was music that calmed him after long days, or got him in the mindset for things to come. Or just music to play because he wanted to hear it. Hell, it could be all three at once. Perhaps now was one of those times. Working at the Witches Corner was not a walk in the park for Vincent. The world he lived in was strange...and some of it made him very uncomfortable. Magic was a big one. Spells, potions, enchantments, it all didn't sit right with him. So one could only wonder why he worked with a lot of people who were heavily involved with that kind of thing. Of course, he didn't have much a choice. He didn't really have anywhere else to go. This job was there when he needed work...and thankfully, he didn't work with or around magic. He wasn't about to start either.

Vincent lay with Aestus. Her head lay on his left shoulder, and his left arm wrapped around her, and rested on her belly. One of her hands, held it gently. Vince smiled. He didn't know if she was awake, or resting her eyes, but they were both snug into each other, and very comfortable.
Vince was finally finding some peace in his head again. Things were almost normal for him. Sure, he and Aestus were back at square one as far as wondering how they would be able to stay with one another, but...for the moment...neither of them had cared. It had almost seemed to Vince, that during the time Aestus was a Lontra, he just felt like he had taken her for granted a bit. He may or may not have, but he felt a completely different feeling with her now. His love for her was the same, but he just wanted to make sure...that it didn't change. After her return to the sea, he healed and stayed where he was for three days. Almost like

Lan looked back to the Lontra, approaching her, guiding her out of any public eye, she once again gave a yell to Kai “Kai! Blanket! Something for cover at least! NOW!”
Kai finally shook himself from whatever trance he was in with the naked Lontra before him and went to find something to cover her up with. Lan sat her down behind a wall near the cooking area. She knew it likely wasn't the best place to seat this Lontra, but it was better than at a table out in the open where anyone could have seen her. “You said you're looking for Vince?” Lan asked.
She nodded. “I...I'm so sorry to come in like this...I just.....just...”
“You don't need to explain. Are you sure you're okay? You're not hurt or anything?”
“No.” she said quietly, still embarrassed to be in her naked self.
Lan looked around. Where was Kai with that damn blanket? She looked back to her, and spoke, “Sorry...Aestus was it?”

The world passed around Vincent Kaayan in many forms, shapes, and sounds. Time was lost, as was all states of his mind. There was nothing. Nothing but darkness. Darkness and silence. Vince felt nothing, saw nothing, and heard nothing. Was he dead? Perhaps. But it could be said that he certainly didn't feel dead. He didn't feel alive either, but he wasn't feeling dead yet...
Well...if death even had a feeling.
He just continued to drift though his different states of unconsciousness. Lost in a lost world. Lost in thought. Lost in feeling. He didn't know how long it had been like this. How long had he been out. How long had he been sleeping.
How long he had been dead...
It was then that he started to feel. He felt...something. Warmth. He started to feel...more. He heard. He could feel...a slight discomfort. Like a deep pain that discomforted him in such a way to

Vincent woke up the next morning as always, feeling like his usual self. Or, at least like his usual self when he wasn't around Aestus. The Lontra who kept to himself, rarely spoke unless spoken to,and almost always had headphones visible in his ears. Vince could feel the store already heading to it's next destination, wherever that would be. Vincent didn't really pay much attention to where they would be going week after week. Month after month. He simply got up, dressed in his usual attire, and went downstairs to prepare Electronics for the customers of...wherever their next destination was. If they would even have customers. People usually didn't shop for technology in a magic store. Vince could only feel that it was only a matter of time before he'd be laid off...again.
No one bothered him. A thing for the moment he was quite thankful for. For the most part. Tracy every now and then would shoot him a few sentences, exclamations, and statements. Stuff that was resolved

A couple weeks had passed, and Vince was just lying on the sands of the beach, feeling the sun warming his fur. He was alone. Aestus was out doing something, and had left him alone, though he really didn't need to go anywhere. She'd be back. He smiled and closed his eyes. The feelings of peace were back. He breathed in, and out. He felt the waves rolling over his sandaled feet. The tide already flowed all the way in and likely in the beginning stages of going out. Vince didn't care. He just lay there, feeling the sun against his chest, and the weight of the pendant lying down on his sternum.
He sat up, and held it in his hand, getting lost in his own thoughts. Earlier today, Aestus had shown him hers. There was something weird about it. Normally her necklace not only had her color, and his, but also showed her sisters. Now...those colors were barely showing at all. Aestus gave a theory that becaus

"Vince!" a voice cried out. It sounded so familiar. He could almost see the voice. Who it belonged to. Part of his brain was working to try and figure out who it belonged to. But he didn't have the will. All he really wanted...was to sleep. All other will power was gone. "Vince!" the voice called again. "Come on, Vince! Breathe!" Breathe...He didn't even have the willpower to do that. Yet he felt air rush into his lungs. He didn't inhale such a breath. Something forced it down...it was strange. He felt as if this sensation was so familiar to him...yet it was also strange. Like this was some new level. "Please, Vince! Wake up! Breathe!"
A sharp compression to the chest, and Vince began to cough out the saltwater in his lungs again. He was on the shore, and he rolled over to his side, giving off a series of sharp hacks and coughs as his body once again fueled itself off the air. He felt dizzy, and the saltwater residue made his lungs sting with each inhale he took.

Kai sighed and looked at his tail. "I was hunting a school of fish and wasn't paying attention. As I neared them, I became caught up in the same net as my prey. The fisherman pulled the net onto their boat, and were of course shocked to see their catch. I am certain by the way they first acted they thought I was a human boy who had fallen overboard, but after they started to open the net to help me out they noticed I was a merman. They suddenly had a change of heart and closed the net and grabbed rope to tie me down. I struggled and was able to get away. Her dog sniffed around a small tidal pool as she stopped to look at the ocean. The dog stopped and started to bark at something. The woman looked in the direction of the dog. "What's wrong Calli?"

I know I do like him and do not want him to go... but it can't really be love.' Her thoughts turned darker as her fears surfaced. 'If Lord Alados discovers him, he will kill Kai just as he did my brother when he tried to protect me.' She shook her head clearing her thoughts, she wrapped her arms around herself feeling chilled.
"Something wrong?" He asked worried that his sudden confession scared her. She shook her head. "No, nothing." She said and forced a smile. Kai wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a tight embrace. He frowned, noticing her drop in temperature and that she was shaking slightly.

Kai said in silence. He was not far from comfortable being kept in such a small space. "I'm sorry it's so small." She apologized. "I don't have much money."
He thought for a moment, "Perhaps it would be easier if I was out of the water even though I do prefer it." Elana nodded and stood up. "I'll help you up," she offered and stood behind him grabbing under his arms to pull him out of the tub to lay on the floor.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." She said holding a basket in her arms with what looked like clothing piled in it. "I was just doing some laundry, it would be easier if you use my brother's old clothes since they seem to fit." Kai nodded, "But does that mean I have to wear more than just the breeches?" Elana laughed. "Yes, but only if you want to go to town, you need to wear breeches a shirt and shoes."
"You mean go to a human settlement?" He asked curious on what they were like. Elana smiled, "How about tomorrow I'll take you to town? I'll explain some of our customs tonight." Father, I am alive and well. I was caught in a fisherman's net while Lord Kane's men chased me. I managed to escape but was tangled up in net, fell unconscious and was washed ashore. A human female, named Elana found me and has taken care of me, she has been very kind to me and I wish to stay here longer. Not only for her companionship but it would be safer for me to remain on land where Lord Kane cannot reach me. He seems more persistent than ever to rid of me. Elana has warned me about the humans who if I am discovered will capture me and force me into captivity. I shall write brief letters once a week so you know I am alive. Should they stop
Washed Ashore Part 11Past the edges of the beach and further from the small cottage a thick old forest grew that divided the coast from the rest of the mainland. Within the forest a cloaked man mounted on a bay horse, he used a spyglass to watch the young couple's every movement from when they shared a kiss to their walk back to the cottage. Once they walked inside the cottage he tucked the glass inside his cloak and turned his steed deeper into the forest toward his Lord's castle.Washed Ashore Part 11 in Fantasy More Like This
The forest grew thinner and the small fishing village of Haven came into view. To the north of the small village a castle loomed over a steep hill that overlooked both the small village and the sea. The rider rode past the first guards posted outside the castle, he halted his steed in front of the large wooden doors and quickly dismounted handing his reins to a servant. The guards opened two massive doors to allow the man to enter the castle. The man quickly navigated the corridors to a room that resembled a throne room. A hands

Glancing at the clock Elana took note of the time. "It's later than I thought, Lydia's husband should arrive soon to pick us up..." Her eyes widened as she realized how they would be traveling.
"What's wrong?" Kai asked noticing her worried look. "I just realized that Godric would ride his horse and would bring a second for me to ride."
Kai tilted his head to the side. "What is a horse and what do you mean by ride?" Elana sighed closing her eyes. "I don't think I could describe a horse very well at least with how they look. But they are very large four legged animals that are herbivores. We have domesticated them so we can sit on their backs to travel long distances, they docile creatures that are easily scared." She paused collecting her thoug

Elana nodded. "That sounds wonderful. I will see you then Lydia." She said as the two women hugged and said their goodbyes. Elana gained Kai's attention and lead him back through the other venders. Boy seems a little odd, but seems like he is strong and has a good heart. I hope he is the one for her... Lydia thought to herself as the pair walked away.
Kai was slowly going out of his mind from questions he had about everything he saw. Elana allowed him to stop and look at every stand to view their goods. "He had a nasty fall and hit his head and lost most of his memories." She explained as the vender glared at Kai in annoyance from his constant stream of questions. While she was tired of making false excuses to the venders Elana was amused by Kai's
Washed Ashore Part 8Kai's eyes widened as he let Elana's request sink in, and what reasoning she had to thinking it was a possibility. "Why do you think they would come here? Elana didn't say anything continuing to prepare their meal, it was a few minutes before she spoke. "I... do not wish to talk about it, but in a way you are right." She sighed. "I just don't want them to hurt you."
Kai thought for a moment he wanted to know what she was hiding but knew better than to push it. "I promise."
"Thank you." Elana responded quietly.
Kai sank into the waters of the bath, it was relaxing to be in water and he drifted off to sleep. He woke up when Elana grabbed his arm and gently shook him. "Dinner is ready." She said quietly allowing him to wake.
He yawned. "I don't want to leave the water." He responded, opening one eye as he stretched. Elana smiled and watched him as his tail moved; his fins splashing in the wate

I told you how frail I am
I bruise easily, I crumble so fast
I am still so breakable
I wish you'd understand
That I am just awaking
Starting new, all naked and hurt
With no secrets
With no regrets
But you never want to accept
That I am not who I used to be
You just never forget
That I try to let go this grudge
By facing my fears
My greatest fear is you
I can't stay out of your life
Unless you let me go
I can't stop seeing you as enemy
Unless you talk this out with me
I am so tired of playing the game
But I never manage to write my own rules
I just stay in a corner of my deranged mind
And enjoy the abuse of being a tool
Life is so heavy lately
Why do you threaten to make it worse?
Why don't you accept that you are wrong too?
And that you deserve the pain you get
It has to have a reason
And honey, you are the reason yourself
Maybe if you'd agree with the truth
You'd be free and stop hurting those
Those few unrealistic friends
This hate and anger

Broken down, without a word to say
She lay in my arms and cried
And told me she can't decide
Between death and being alive

Rocking back and forth
Her knees pulled to her chin
A wrecked little doll
All dirty and used
Tired of being nothing at all
Enjoy the persisting abuse
I told her it hurts me to see
How she crumbles eventually
How I die right before her eyes
When she slips from my sight
But she just smiled and said
She can't help it
I know she doesn't try to be bad
But she's killing me
Slaughtering me beyond recognition
Like she's completing my failed mission
Of destruction, pain and despair
I know she doesn't...she just can't care
But she holds, she grabbed my heart
She holds it and tears it apart
She cuts my skin and uses my blood
To paint a picture of murderous art
Most naive love I feel for this girl
She humbles me, my thoughts whirl
Confuses me into oblivion
Should I let go? Abandon her?
I love...but the burd

They kissed, their last kiss. He was sure of that.

Is the secret of poetry,
The art within the writing of words,
Of placing the letters, carefully,
Not to be shy of filling the blanks,
Just defining what you know,
To use your feelings,
And to decorate the sheets,
But how can I write,
When all I feel,
Was ripped away,
By a force that I cannot describe?
When my core is a void,
And I cannot avoid,
Feeling nothing at all...
How am I supposed to choose,
The words that used to come,
By night, my quiet saviours,
Now lost within my soul,
Roaming the sky,
For this feeling of inspiration,
That I once cursed,
But was blessed with,
Now that it's gone,
I disappear into myself,
No way to get rid of,
All this poison,
That was crammed down my throat,
And without my words,
I'm nothing, just nothing at all,
I am no writer, no poet,
No artist anymore,
I might be able to place the letters,
In the right order,
It might look pretty,
But it lacks the emotion,

Too weak to face the truth alone,
Too afraid to bring your friends,

You'd rather burn, or drown in the sea?
How have you become so scarred?
Bones left broken, skin left charred,
We grew so far apart,
But tell me, where's your heart?
We fight and fight, but forget to breathe,
Furious and full of rage, we burn and seethe,
Stranger can you remember or recall,

I see you still, every day
I see how you fall apart
I try to help
But you never let me close
Not any more...
We used to be one
And I was whole
But then you fell back again
Into the abuse of drugs and pain
And I miss you
I miss the friend I once knew
I helped you out but now...
All that is left...
Is the empty, icy space next to me
The sound of your laughter
Ringing inside my ears
The feeling of your embrace
The thoughts and secrets we would share
Whispering sweet nothings...
All is missing from me now
And all I want to know
Is if you feel the slightest guilt
Knowing you left me to die?
Jillisa Mermaid Transformation Story 5They swam to Neptune's cove that had the cooler. It was still filled with food, and together they ate a sandwich out of it, but the food just didn't seem to taste near as good as the seafood that she had been eating lately it seemed so artificial. The apple and oranges still tasted great, just the bread and ham sandwich seemed to have that taste that really cheap donuts have. For a while after they had finished their meal they just sat there enjoying the sun as it made its way down the sky to rest beneath the waves. There was no sound of traffic or of people, or barking dogs just the sound of seagulls and the surf. It was all so very peaceful. Was she willing to give such a day like this up to go back to working a 9 to 5 job ? Could she get used to ended each day looking over the ocean like this before going to rest at sundown ? Then again maybe she would be doing so much resting at night with Adam. The thought of that made her smile.Jillisa Mermaid Transformation Story 5 in Short Stories More Like This

There still was not much to see, the bang sticks, 3 water tight plastic suitcases, a 43 inch rubber power spear gun with 2 rubber band and a reel just ahead of the trigger, a small spear gun that looked like a pistol version, this one didn't have any rubber tubing on it. Which was on a flexible rubber dive belt. She was later to learn it was powered by a piston in side. A 63 inch long spear gun with a reel ahead of the trigger. Next to this spear gun was a carbon fiber pole spear, which was just a carbon fiber pole spear that was connected to a bit of rubber tubing. All of the spear guns were made of either aluminum or carbon fiber. A short handle 2 foot oval fisherman's landing net with a 2 1/2 long fiberglass pole and neoprene gloves sat along another wall. Jillisa Mermaid Transformation StoryThe weekend had finely come for Jillisa. It had been a long hard week at the office and she needed a escape for the weekend, so she went to the beach. When she got there she found the beach crowded with people. Turned out that she was not the only one thinking of the beach this fine beautiful day in California. The boardwalk was not so crowded, and long the boardwalk were small shops or vendors with portable stands selling everything from cool pop to trinkets, to jewelry. Bored and disappointed at not finding a good spot in the sand to just lay out and enjoy the sun she browsed along checking out the different sellers, and what they had to offer. Jillisa stood out in the crowd of people walking along the boardwalk. Sure she was attractive with full breast, shapely legs, long brown hair, and soft blue eyes, but what made her stand out was that she was one of those that loved the color pink. It was her favorite color. She wore a 2 piece pink bikini, pink flip flops, and carried a pink puJillisa Mermaid Transformation Story in Short Stories More Like This
