"Alright, hello everyone and welcome to the Wonderbolt Auditions!" Spitfire announced walking before the group of eager young fliers before her, "We've never really done this 'open auditions' thing before so it's kind of a new experience for everyone. However, we're confident that you're going to show us your stuff and the best of the best will have the honor of joining us, the Wonderbolts!"
Rainbow Dash felt tense as she stood amongst the crowd of fliers around her. There was a lot more potential new recruits than she had thought there were going to be. And she knew well enough that there was only maybe two or three positions open on the team at best. Out of all the potential flyers to get in, she felt like a single rain drop in a storm trying to h

"Twilight? What are you doing?" Her mother asked looking down at the little filly who seemed to be nestled on a pillow surrounded by a fort made out of books.
"The munsters can't get me while I read now!" Filly Twilight spoke up in her young cheerful voice before sticking her nose back into the book and happily read away at her latest adventure.
Celestia stifled a giggle as the more adult Twilight who stood next to her blushed.
"I forgot how adorable you had been." Celestia commented.
"Ahaha yea " Twilight said trying to laugh her blush away. The ghostly image of that memory seemed to fade away and was replaced with another, this one a scene of Twilight's mother reading a book to filly Twilight.
This had been the scene since they had entered the building that looked just like her old home in Canterlot. Various images of memories past blinked in and out of existence, all of them Twilight's. Most in this house were just of her as a little filly, inter

Twilight was doing her best to understand what the three pictures before her meant. Each picture was a distorted mess of color and shapes. At times she thought she had been able to make out the vague shape of a pony or some other shape that she could identify as an object, but it quickly moved back into being a distorted blob.
"I can't make heads or tails of this." Twilight as groaning as she looked back and forth, "How exactly does this spell work? This is my second time doing it and I'm STILL confused." The book didn't explain any further than how to perform the spell and its purpose. Was it supposed to be easy to figure out? Should something have been obvious to her? There were no instructions on how to interpret the pictures, or what she could do to help!
It really seemed like she was purposely being kept out, as if she wasn't allowed to see what each of her frie

Twilight threw her hooves up in frustration.
"WHY IS THIS SO COMPLICATED!?" Twilight groaned as she put the latest book she had been browsing through down. It too had yielded her no answers; she was squarely back where she had begun once again.
"You seem stressed Twilight, is this really that important?" Spike asked as he approached her quickly, placing a cup of her favorite tea down next to her.
"Thank you Spike." Twilight sighed softly levitating the cup up to her lips and taking a sip, starting to settle down again, "And it is. This spell is baffling me now. There's no indication in the book it comes from that suggests the spell is bad. Yet I have three separate testimonies that the spell shouldn't EVER be used again." Twilight rubbed her forehead carefully.
"Have you asked them why?" Spike asked curiously.
"Of course I have Spike. But " She took another sip of the tea as she thought about her friends reasons carefully, "Pi

It was decided that the wedding would be held the day after first snow fall, meaning the wedding would be held in two weeks' time. It didn't take long for the news of the wedding to be spread throughout Ponyville. Rarity had made a fuss about the suddenness of the date, but Rainbow explained that after her Wonderbolts audition she wanted to spend every possible moment with Fluttershy before she went off to her training. This seemed to pacify Rarity and Rainbow left for her audition the next morning.
For the small town of Ponyville weddings weren't that common despite the amount of relationships the town seemed to harbor. It seemed most ponies enjoyed the simple dating scene over making that final step of commitment, but whenever a couple did make that decision it was news the whole town heard about. You could be certain everypony who could show up was going to.
The moment Pinkie knew the wedding was confirmed she'd set in motion to prepare for it. She'd been going all around

Fluttershy panted heavily as she lay on the cloud. Her wings were sore and her energy was low. She wasn't sure how much longer she could keep this up, it was exhausting her.
"Are you finished already? We've barely gotten any flying in today!" Rainbow sighed, hovering over the tired Fluttershy.
"I'm sorry " Fluttershy squeaked as she shakily got up onto all four hooves again.
"You're never going to keep your grades up if you don't get into better shape." Rainbow said flying down and forcing her on to her feet, spreading her wings and getting her into a flight stance, much to Fluttershy's dismay. "Okay, give me another speed lap around the loops. And GO." Rainbow yelled out before blowing on a whistle.
Fluttershy let out a soft cry before flying forward as quickly as he wings could carry her. Her wings had developed early and grown larger, but they weren't very strong despite that. Rainbow could only groan at Fluttershy's top speed, not even being a third of what she could

"And all through the night the three ponies kept the fire of friendship alive by telling stories to one another and by singing songs, which of course, became the winter carols that we all still sing today." The narrator spoke in turn as the action on the stage began to play out to his words. Each of the ponies were dressed in a different attire, each representing the different style of clothing that was worn so long ago. A younger Twilight watched the stage curiously.
It wasn't her first time watching the Hearth's Warming Eve pageant, far from it. It was traditional for many ponies to come and watch the pageant every year. Her parents had taken her in years past and now that she was the personal protégé of Princess Celestia she felt as if there was almost an obligation to go see the play. The filly was sure some parts of the play were exaggerated or kept short for the sake of being produced as a stage play, but still she'd always had a fascination with history and this was

A soft chill blew through the brisk winter's day. A blanket of snow covered the ground far below, as Celestia's chariot soared through the sky.
'What a beautiful day for a wedding.' Celestia thought with a smile sprawled across her face. It had been far too long since she had last been able to attend a wedding, her royal duties always coming first However, with Luna back she could afford to take time off on such short notice. Plus no one would blame her for going to a wedding where the two being wed each wielded one of the Elements of Harmony.
As Celestia's chariot grew closer to the quaint town of Ponyville, her regal eyes scanned the snow banked town, easily catching sight of the pacing lavender unicorn that stood out from the white backdrop around her. Celestia let out a soft chuckle to herself, knowing exactly how her student fussed and worried over every little detail, and now doubt a wedding between her friends was going to have her nerves on end even more than usual.

"Ahlbth finthith yoobth " The other Pinkie sputtered out more blood, as she gripped the butcher's knife as best she could with her hoof, dragging it along the ground as she began to walk towards Pinkie. Pinkie took in sharp breaths of air as she concentrated on the vile Pink mare before her.
The other Pinkie began to pick up the pace, before going out into a full on run straight for Pinkie. She seemed groggy, but determined, to bring that knife down into Pinkie's flesh. Pinkie had aimed the uninjured half of her body at the other Pinkie, bringing her hind hoof up once more.
The butcher's knife was raised into the air, sparks flying as it had scrapped along the ground. The frantic rush of the other Pinkie was closing in, ready to strike down. For a moment, everything seemed to hold still, right on the edge of death, two forces that never should've met collided.

Pinkie took a gulp as she stared at the door that led to a separate chamber from the rest of the prison. The cells were officially classified as 'Solitary Confinement', however the only thing that made them 'solitary' was that they were separated from the other cells and most criminals only stayed in them for a few days for misbehaving. But from what she'd been told the criminals kept themselves in good terms to avoid coming here because of the one prisoner that was kept inside at all times. None of them wanted to be in the same area as him.
"You seem nervous and I can understand why. There's still time to back out, if you don't want to do this." Came the reassuring yet regal voice of Princess Celestia, who turned to look at the smaller pink mare standing next to her before the door.

Lessons of the Past
The weekend had been miserable and a steady rain had been falling all Saturday, continuing through the night and into the morning. It was late autumn/early winter by now and the surrounding countryside was looking bleak as the cloud cover slowly mulled by overhead.
There had been no flying since late Friday evening, all operations had been halted due to the continuing drizzle. The airstrip itself was too soggy to support armoured pegasi as the risk of them sinking into the soft ground was very real, with loss of life or serious injury being a very strong possibility.
Wing Commander Canterbury Scotch knew that war was about results but he would not place his air crew in undue risk when he knew he was right not to.
With little to do outside and time to kill, Kaimanawa sat warm in his bed under two thick duvets, his back resting against the headboard and a pillow behind him. He was reading the letter he had received from Bristol, prior to the aborted mission against th

Bristol happily walked up the hallway from the mares ablutions and smiled as she trotted along on her way back to her office. She was in a chipper mood today and still a little buzzed from visiting Tangmare on Friday the week previously. It had set her in a relaxed mindset after at least seeing where Kai had been stationed and spent his day to day service life.
She had been so close to seeing Kaimanawa but, alas, he had been away on official business at the time so there had been no opportunity to see him in person. Still, she thought, at least she was that much closer to finally being able to reunite with her very special some pony.
As she trotted further up the hallway she stuck her head in the small shared tea room that enlisted personal used when they were off duty or taking a break from the daily toils. The tea room was one of many within the Royal Castle, codename Pinnacle.
"Fall Weather, your break was up 10 minutes ago. Back to your station please."

Tangmare stood strong and looked like a station that towered on the shoulders of giants, as Kaimanawa slowly walked back to his office after delivering Purse Strings to the hospital. He was feeling proud of his efforts and chuffed that he'd helped to bring relief to what looked like a very painful ailment.
It was, in fact, very true the relief that Purse Strings would get. Systemic Laminitis could lead to rotation or sinking of the third laminus and this in turn may lead to abscesses within the hoof that could be severe and very painful.
But there was another issue that had to be taken care of too; Money Grubber, the bookie that was practically holding her family at ransom.
Kaimanawa knew that Money Grubber was a civilian and justifiably, and legally so, there was no legislation written that would give the Squadron Leader the authority to act in lieu of a policing unit.
But what he did know is that the greedy back hander's actions led to the injuring of an enlisted mem

"Hold on please."

But there was no immediate reply coming from the party of three that had just arrived in the Squadron Leaders daily abode.
Kai asked as none of his guests moved to partake in the refreshments. He looked around at the three ponies that sat around him and frowned, a bit frustrated, at the fact that none of them were willing to engage with him proactively and were therefore leaving it to the most senior office to start the proceedings.
"Very well, I will start if there are no one is willing to talk to me, obviously you're all in some sort of shock."

It was inexplicable to Frolic why she felt so much chipper and full of energy so early in the morning, especially after staying awake so late the night prior, while waiting for word of Kaimanwa’s return.
There was no good news delivered when the both the 34th and the 486th returned to Tangmare though. Therefore her friend and crush was gone, possibly forever. Yet, Frolic wasn’t sad at his absence and even felt at peace with the world she existed in.

Students used it all the time, bellowing it to one another during training drills until Destrier had enough of it.
“A fire spell’s a little drastic for catching a simple shoplifter, criminal scum or not, don’t you think?” growled the silver clad officer, striding over to the Pegasus and staring down at him. “Fanning the flames with your wings in order to flush him out is a bit of overcompensation, wouldn’t you say? “And your mother is okay with this?” Destrier asked, as the colt pawed the floor with his left hoof.
“Mum said that they no longer have room for me at home, sir. They gave my little sister my old room and turned her smaller room into her closet. Pastel has lots of clothes, you see. She’s a regular clothes horse.”
Destrier was completely surprised by this. Chocolate Chip Mint hadn’t been the type to just allow her foal to be tossed out like yesterdays trash. Not the Mintie he knew. But then again she did marry Lancer and he had always been jerk. Maybe it rubbed off.
There was a flapping sound of wings from outside, and a fleeting glimpse of Princess Celestia as she passed by the windows outside his quarters. She looked decidedly unhappy. Destrier smirked a bit. Lancer and Minty were going to get a talking to by he

The dining room fell dead silent after Mintie spoke.
It was felt as if she had cast an ice spell, for the room seemed so much colder to Destrier. He could see the effects of the unicorn’s words upon those in the room with the merest glance. He wanted to argue with her, tell Mintie that she was horrible for telling such a disgusting lie. But looking about at the others in the room stayed Destrier’s tongue.
Most of those gathered looked as shocked as he himself felt. Charger had gone pale, his expression slack jawed and almost uncomprehending of his mother’s words. His father…Lancer had a horrified expression upon his face, yet it was not one of surprise. It was one of somepony that had a dread secret revealed. He didn’t refute his mare’s words. All of the Royal Guard was well aware of Elements of Harmony and the six chosen ponies that could wield their power. Most knew that the chosen six lived in Ponyville. Only a few knew exactly which of the mares in that village the chosen ones were. Of course the Shieldons knew. The Captain of Princess Celestia’s personal guard would know much more that the average guard pony would not. Destrier was only in the know because he was a personal friend of the Shieldons.
“If that is a covert mission you are asking me to take on, I think I should remind you that I am retired,” Destrier said with amusement.
“Mission? Who said anything about a mission?” Lanceor said, and Destrier knew that it was exactly that. “I am just saying that having a retired guard pony there that I can trust would be an ideal situation. The chosen ones need not know that you are watching over them at all.”

If I stay on here as a member of the Guard, I will be tempted to end his life,” Destrier began. “I can’t forgive him or forget what that filthy loathsome little son of a mule did six years ago. I can’t bear the idea of giving him anything, much less having to stand there silently and allow Greenbacks to take from the fund for the families that the Guard set up for those that died in service to Equestria.”

Once outside of the gates, both ponies’ manes fell, finally released from the magic that held them upright and stiff as a brush since they both joined the Guard. The helmets that the guards wore had the same spell upon them, so that when they travelled outside of the main Academy and Base, they would still look like the pony centurions they really were.

The station was better known as Tangmare Air Station. It was on the other side of the mountain from Canterlot, yet not too far away from the city. Several of the pegasi guard pony squadrons were based out of there. Not all, but several. Maneuvers were often held there for new trainees, given the location of the base.
The journey to the station was relatively uneventful, unless one counted the near relentless chatter from Eaglewing. The colt liked to talk and didn’t seem to want to quit. The two of them were sitting at their favourite table at the Dandelion Clock Café and enjoying a little afternoon tea together, but Rarity for some time now had noticed that Twilight, although moody at the best of times, was especially moody today for some reason.
"Darling!" she said. "That's the third time you've sighed in as many minutes! Now I know something is most definitely wrong."
Twilight lifted her face from observing the tea to look at her friend. The white-coated unicorn's eyes were regarding her with concern, but somehow Twilight didn't feel like talking to her.
"Oh Rarity. I'm fine, really," she said, and then straightaway her eyes dropped back down to the tea and its danci

"It's absolutely wonderful to have you back home, my faithful student," Princess Celestia said to Twilight as she walked with her along the corridor that would lead to the East Wing of Canterlot Castle where the guest rooms were. "I've missed you terribly, you know."
Twilight suppressed a squeal of delight. The Princess had missed her? Oh, the things she wanted to say in reply but all she could was blush crimson and whisper, in a voice embarrassingly heavy with emotion: "I've missed you too, Princess "
"It's such a shame that you can't stay in your old tower," Celestia continued as they passed a series of huge stained-glass windows interspersed with tapestries thousands of years old portraying the history of Equestria. "I'm afraid the renovations are really quite untimely."
"It's alright, Princess," Twilight replied, looking at each of the tapestries thoughtfully as they passe

#107) So this isn't very easy for me to just come out and say to some guy I've never really talked to, but based on some of the answers I've read from you, you seem to know your stuff. You see, I have this really big problem right now. I seem to have a strange attraction--no, addiction, to Rainbow Dash. It's not a sexual attraction, it's a love attraction. The funny thing is I don't even like her personality. Well, at least in the show. The fan-fic versions of her are probably what tipped me towards her. But anyways, what I need is for some way, any way to get her out of my mind or something. I don't want to hate her, I just want to not be attracted to her. If you could help me in any way, I would be ever so grateful. Thanks much!
Answer: It's interesting that you make the point that your attraction isn't sexual, but is, instead, more platonic in nature. Having strong feelings for a TV character isn't as unusual as it sounds; a lot of people have crushes on charact

Friendship is Magic: a ReviewNostalgia can be a funny thing it's the sort of emotional impulse that makes a man do crazy things. Things like purchasing the "Sonic Underground" box-set, simply because I enjoyed it as a kid. But there's something inherently disappointing about nostalgia; the realisation that these experiences often remain a part of our childhood for a reason. Watching "Sonic Underground" as a 19-year old is a very different experience to watching it as a youngster on Saturday mornings. The once beloved show now appears to me as a train-wreck of embarrassing musical montages, repetitive pacing and rather dated animation. Getting old is no fun when it brings out the critic within.Friendship is Magic: a Review in Reviews & Guides More Like This
Thankfully, I have re-ignited that joyous spark of infancy after watching "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic"; a show that for me is not mired by any form of nostalgic bias. After all, prior to "Friendship is Magic" I'd never even considered watching anything related to the My Little Pony franchise. Having watched s

Rainbow's stomach grew hollow as her wings touched the wall behind her that she crashed into. Untying her blindfold, she let it descend to the ground with the group of papers. She watched Twilight pick up a pamphlet titled 'The Progression of Foal Growth'.
"Rainbow Dash, what's the meaning of this?" Rarity questioned while leaning over Twilight's shoulder, "Why were you hiding these from us?"
"'At three months, the foal now has detectable facial features'," Twilight read out loud, "Where were you before you got here?"
"Are you collecting pamphlets now?" Pinkie chirped, spitting cupcake crumbs towards the stunned Pegasus, "I love collecting things! Like rocks and bottle caps and Gummy's old scales-"
"Pinkie, why would she collect foal information pamphlets?" Rarity inquired, "Or pamphlets in general?"
"Are you planning to adopt?" Fluttershy asked, looking

Entangling her limbs in the sheets, the winged pony blew out another impatient breath. For years she had battled insomnia and it crept up again in her current slumbering hours. As she glanced at Tank's shell next to her side, she grimaced and peered at her midsection. The swollenness of it persuaded her to flip onto her stomach and bury her head into the pillow. Kicking her legs again in the linens, she huffed and rolled over onto her back again to face the ceiling. It was the worse thought possible happening. Gaining weight and not able to do a gosh-darned thing about it.
Suddenly, an idea popped into her mind. There had been a trick that she used to do when she was a young filly whenever she had trouble going to sleep. She took a deep breath as her legs stretched out. Arching her back, she felt the tips of her forehooves touch the headboard and contrac

The Derby has many factors that uphold its superior reputation such as its exquisite culinary dishes and breath-taking atmosphere. But the most publicized reason for its popularity was the famous guests that attended it. Every celebrity pony one could name had gone to the highly acclaimed restaurant and filled the walls with autographed pictures as proof. It had lovely views from the French-style windows which provided beautiful scenery of Los Pegasus and yet the seating gave the renowned ponies just enough privacy from passing civilians. The cyan customer placed her fork onto her place and rested her elbow on the table while propping up her head to glimpse at her company.
"That's awful what they are saying in the papers," the lavender unicorn commented, scooping up her soup, "What are you going to do?"

Braeburn slowly opened his eyes to find the morning sunlight burning into his skull. Ringing occupied his head, causing him to roll over onto his stomach and guard the back of his head with his pillow. Hearing what sounded to be quiet snoring, he lifted up the edge to see that Rainbow was resting next to him. Confusion overwhelmed him as he sought out to recollect some form of a memory from the night before. He did not know how to handle himself and sluggishly pushed himself up to observe his room.
"Did we ?" he began, still slightly out of consciousness. Suddenly, his eyes grew big as he made eye contact with Rainbow who was waking up, "Oh Luna, what did we do last night? A-ah mean, how would it be possible to bring you up-"

Living with her all her life, Big Macintosh has seen the array of emotions his sister has expressed. Her main reaction was the initial response of frustration if she had felt wronged. There were many times where her irritation caused emotional explosions, but there were three that were the most prominent in his memory.
The earliest one of the first time was when they went to a harvest festival. They were only foals, but Granny Smith figured they had reached the right age to appreciate the culture and celebration of it all. Applejack's bangs covered her eyes at the time, so she sensibly came to the conclusion to cut them. Big Macintosh volunteered to trim them so that they were sure to be even. Given the fact that hooves don't necessarily have the best of grips, his promise didn't hold up to the promised result. To this day, he still cannot comprehend how
Heartstrings and Gumdrops: Part ThreeBreakfast was a rapid fire affair. Lyra emptied the bowl of Cheerileeos down her throat in a manner that would have made the most gluttonous of ponies feel somewhat queasy. She devoured the bowl's contents in a matter of seconds, throwing it into the sink before she assaulted it with a sponge and towel. She perched the bowl on the dishrack at the side, breaking into a light canter as she picked up her lyre case in a mint green aura of magic. Her hoof was on the door handle as she heard the light, airy call from the kitchen she had attempted to abandon.Heartstrings and Gumdrops: Part Three in Short Stories More Like This
"Where are you galloping off too, young lady?"
Lyra cursed under her breath, lightly stroking the door handle as she decided to opt for distance rather than direct confrontation. She called down the hallway, hoping her mother would maybe, just maybe, not bother to ask any more of her.
"Just...going on a vacation from work. Only a week, mum!"
"And when were you thinking of telling me about this?!"

A Canterlot HauntingThere is a phenomenon few know about, that graces the Canterlot Performance in the deep hours of night. The baritone performance of travelling stallions would cease, the crowd unleashing the required applause as the performers bow out with all the attempted grace such ponies can have. The murmur of small talk and criticism would simmer to nothingness, and as the cleaners swept through the aisles, cleared away the rubbish and ruin of the night, it would begin.A Canterlot Haunting in Short Stories More Like This

The high, floating tone of the cello in the breeze would go unnoticed. Many of the staff had surrendered their efforts to find the very obvious hidden gramophone, while others still found the melody too ethereal for their ears. The midnight cleaning staff refreshed its ranks quite often.
It was as the cleaners shuffled out the door, elder stallions chided by the young ones for their naivety

The laboratory's owner was not known for inefficiency or general lack of organisation, and as such, the entire room was precariously arranged in an example of harmonious order. A table stood in the centre, various implements adorned its surface in perfect size order. A bookshelf contained a fascinating array of hardbacks in a myriad of colours, all assigned their rightful place by way of the Dewey Decimal system.
Even the desk in the corner was perfectly organised. The keyboard was exactly parallel to the desk edge, the mouse sitting in the exact centre of its appropriated mouse pad. The monitor revealed a lucid desktop, uncluttered with icons, a sober image
A New Sound - C1Mornings were not Vinyl’s domain, that was a well known fact to everyone in her life. It could be argued that her job had made her this way, late nights and the bright lights of nightclubs had made her numb to the subtle, creeping advance of Celestia’s sun as it clambered over the distant rooftops to slip between her curtains.A New Sound - C1 in Short Stories More Like This
However, despite her job being mostly to blame, there was one other, small reason that caused Vinyl to bury her head further in the pillow than usual this morning.
A court proceeding, as Octavia promptly reminded. her. She poked Vinyl in precisely the place she knew would cause her to jerk out of the bed, leaving her spread eagled in a toga formed from the bedsheets. Octavia trotted up to the edge of the less than graceful heap of white sheets and white pony, already awake and ready for the day.
“Vinyl, you need to get up, you‘re expected there two hours from now.”
Vinyl sighed, causing the sheets to flutter with her breath, before s
Allegrezza - Part Thirty-OneThe midnight moonlight crept through the curtains, illuminating the room within. Eerie protrusions burst forth from the floor and walls, casting grim and wavering shadows that seemed to stalk their way across the room. Octavia had never enjoyed nighttime, her night sight had never been something to shout about. Sadly, Vinyl's room was full of all manner of debris, casting irregular pony-shaped shadows onto her imagination.Allegrezza - Part Thirty-One in Short Stories More Like This
The problem being, of course, that Octavia couldn't sleep. But an hour ago, this had been something of an advantage during the nighttime activities. Now though, it kept her mind turning over the same niggling doubts, snowballing them into overbearing worries and trepidations. She glanced at her...partner. She supposed that was the correct term, was it not? It had been a worryingly infrequent label that she had been unable to apply to many other ponies. Mounting entries on her to-do list coupled with a draining amount of time in which to attend to them had made Octavia somewhat irritable. The night of the Gala was upon them, and she was expected to be in attendance with her ensemble in no less than an hour. As such, it was very much to her chagrin that she discovered Vinyl asleep on the bed, where she should have already begun changing into her outfit.
A burst of sharp jabs to the stomach remedied the situation, and Vinyl's bleary eyes were met with the sight of a rather indignant Octavia bearing down on her.
"Vinyl, are you asleep?!"
A brief respite was given from the intent glare, as Vinyl's hooves shakily rubbed her eyes.
"Yeah...I was, what's up?"
Octavia practically cuffed Vinyl to her hooves, her benevolence somewhat lessened by copious amounts of stress, and an impatient cart driver waiting outside to bear them away to the palace.

"You mean when you had a sugar rush?" "You don't suppose modesty is the secret Seventh Element of Harmony, do you?"
"Then why," Kratos fumed, his teeth clenched, "am I forced to wear this humiliating device on my face?"
Kratos and the others had returned to Ponyville and regrouped at the library, which apparently doubled as the purple unicorn's home. In that time, Twilight and Fluttershy had attempted to help the other Elements of Harmony understand the situation.
Twilight scrutinized the bridle on Kratos for a moment before shaking her head. "The princess isn't one to let anypony in on her plans, even me. I don't even know what kind of effect this spell has."

"I killed his uncles. A few of his siblings." Noting his companion's disbelieving stare, he added, "They attacked me first, though."
"Wasn't he a god? Gods don't die! And how many do you even have in your world?"
"Far more than just two," the Spartan assured her. "And they usually don't die, unless you have this." He nodded his head back to the glowing weapon strapped to his back. "The gods of Olympus abandoned me, and have attempted to kill me more times than I can remember. Don't pity them, and don't

As they approached the enormous set of double doors on the far end of the hall, a sort of tension built up in the air. The doors swung open just as the septet reached it, likely opened by magic. The goddesses were graced with both wings and horns, and were larger than most other ponies. The white goddess stood taller than Kratos himself, while the deep, dark blue goddess beside her, while smaller than her sister, still held considerable power in her presence. They both radiated power, not unlike many other gods Kratos had encountered. The difference here was that there presence wasn't nearly as hostile or forebodi

RVB - FacsimileThe one thing Simmons never thought he'd miss about Earth was the deep, sparkling velvet blanket of the night sky. Sure, he had been just as interested in astronomy and constellations as the next nerd, but with the darkness had always come the fear of the unknown, of shaded, hidden places where things with fangs and scales could strike out at him at any given moment. It made it ever more surreal then, that subtle ache of longing to see the moon through a window every time he'd curl up under his blankets for the "night." He wasn't even sure if he was on the right time schedule anymore; the sun never set in Blood Gulch, so how was he to know if he really was sleeping during the night part of the day?
