Mind you, that she became a Bond girl during the 2012 Olympics does rather put to bed the question of her having a sense of humour.
Dark ShadowsAn enjoyable enough flick that was actually free of quite a few of the usual Burton hallmarks (not a black and white stripe in sight!), but it felt more of a tribute than it should have to the long forgotten series on which it was based.Dark Shadows in Personal More Like This
There are a few real "What the?" moments near the end which are no doubt nods to the source material, of which Burton and Depp are huge fans, but which are completely lost on the rest of us.
(Was lycanthropy mentioned earlier in the film? If it was; I missed it! - That's no spoiler BTW. It has NO relevance to the rest of the film which is what makes its inclusion so baffling.)
It's also the first film in which Eva Green actually looks like the bombshell everyone's been claiming her to be since Casino Royale.

There’s not really much I can write about the chap or his impact on sci-fi culture that you’re not already aware of. We all knew and loved him as Spock from Star Trek. Hell, I named one of my webcomic’s characters after him.
Nimoy never forgot about his fans, either, and how it is they who ensured his lasting popularity. It’s telling that it was he who cameoed in the recent Trek films and not Shatner.
Being the awesome man he was, his final words to the public (by way of twitter) were “LLAP”.

I spent ages getting the linework just right, I was so careful, and when I peeled the page from the static cling of the bulbous, cathode ray tube screen, the character looked exactly right on the page. Through single-digit ages, they find the very concept of them hilarious, and when puberty kicks in the mere thought of lady-lumps generally causes some movement in the trouser department. These weak-willed creatures will follow them anywhere and they will do almost anything if it means simply being permitted to gaze upon them for a few moments more.
The entertainment industries, from the big movie makers to the lowly art whores (like me) know this, and have played upon it for years in order to separate males from their money. As a result, mass media is awash with the female form in all manner of provocative poses and dress.
Many women are fed up with this, but is the whole thing “sexist”?
Well, it’s impossible and indeed wrong to say a whole industry is one thing or another. Ultimately it’s all one, big, dumb organism that simply moves with the cultural winds. It perpetuates what sustains it. It’s only when you break it

For those not in the know; SPECTRE was the villainous organisation that was constantly trying to trigger World War 3 in the early Bond movies and pretty much every super-villain that 007 was sent out to stop was a member of the SPECTER hierarchy. At the top of this criminal network was the shadowy figure known only as “Number One”, who, after a multi-film build-up, personally introduced himself to Bond (and the audience) during You Only Live Twice as Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
Now, the last anyone saw of Blofeld was when Roger Moore dropped him down a chimney, and SPECTRE was never mentioned again because of an ongoing squabble over ownership of the name. During Daniel Craig’s tenure as Bond, an underworld organisation identical to SPECTRE was hinted at but, disappointingly, named “Quantum”. More disappointingly, despite being really rather goo

Gamesmaster was the first TV show to focus purely on video games and video game culture, and, with no internet back then, it was the only way I got to see most games.
My sole gaming platform was the old Commodore 64 warhorse, until I won a Megadrive/Genesis in '93 ("Design a character" competition), and it was another couple of years after that before I got a PC, so things like Monkey Island 2 I only got to see moving via Gamesmaster. One thing to note though, I’ve seen a lot of fans complaining that the dinosaurs don’t have feathers or look like “real” dinosaurs do as we’ve learned more through paleontology. And while I understand that concern I honestly don’t care. My personal headcannon is that these are genetically modified dinosaurs supplemented with amphibian DNA. As a result the fact that they’re not 100% accurate to our current knowledge of dinosaurs if A-OK in my opinion. Another was what would be the worst torture to endure. If there is one international touchstone that best captures youthful fears and wonders in speculation of what lies beyond the veil of death and awaits as possible punishment for our sins, it must be - to the few who have actually read it to the millions who "know" it – "Dante's Inferno." Some advice on doing commissions, professional, commercial and contracted art.
Make sure you are paid what it's worth to you.
Do a test run on a portion of what is being asked of you before you say yes or no. Time yourself. Multiply that by the volume of work you have to do, so you know about how long it will take.
Once you've done that, multiply that time by the required minimum wage in your state/country. If you are being offered less than that, then you should inform the client. If the pay is not raised? Run. Head for the hills. This is a contractor that doesn't give a shit about you and is willing to sacrifice you, your time, and your dignity to get what they want.

I generally don't use a contract if the art I'm going to do is not for commercial purposes or the cost is under $100. What is art for commercial purposes? If the commissioner or client is going to use this image for monetary gain or advertising, that makes it commercial. I know the actual laws on the subject are more complicated, but that's a quick rule of thumb I use. Be wary of a client who doesn't want your signature on it. Even if they say they're not using it for commercial purposes, the unwillingness to let you sign your work may be an indication that they're not being entirely honest. A contract may be useful in this instance just in case.
It's not rude to ask for a contract. You are protecting yourself *and* your client. Any client with an interest in being fair will not object. You're not being pretentious. You may feel awkward asking for one at first, but it d

One was a male baseball player (minor leagues, spelled different) and the other got her 15 minutes of fame for killing someone famous and then turning the gun on herself (spelled the same, got it by name change).
In all my life, I have only had one thing with my name on it (not written in marker for ID purposes), and it had to be special ordered.

And I will be the first to admit that when I first heard the outline of the story - a cute young man who just happens to be undead falls in love with a young girl at first sight - I was skeptical. I assumed it would become a rehash of Twilight, and I just got over the nausea of seeing those posters cluttering all the billboards.
However, after trawling through the trailers and finding them appealing and funny, I decided that the movie was worth a shot. It advertises itself as a quirky, humorous take on zombies, throwing in a mix of teenage romance

Oddly enough, we weren't running madly crying and screaming through the trees to get away, nor were we even armed. Instead Arnold drove us around in a bigass jeep while I sat in the passenger's seat discussing Predator tactics with him. Once we figured out the most Hollywood-cinematic way they'd come at us, the Predators would execute that exact move with a slow-mo finisher somewhere else in the forest ... and then die.

Hey! A Female Hero NOT Dressed Like A HookerCan we talk about how AWESOME this costume is? Because this new costume is awesome!Hey! A Female Hero NOT Dressed Like A Hooker in Personal More Like This
Waaaaaaay better than whatever the hell that white costume was all about.
"NO ONE WILL NOTICE ME! NOR SHAL THEY EVER GUESS MY SECRET IDENTITY!!!!"
Also I love how the artist notes specify that it’s a badass leather jacket and NOT a tight spandex spray on with boob socks.
The only thing I find rather weird is that it looks like Babs Gordon has aged backwards. She looks way younger now. Like she’s back to being nineteen again.
Bottom Line and Final Thoughts: LOVE the costume! Cute, practical, and sexy! Let’s just hope the writers do a good job with the characters and story.

Yes yes, bring on the flame war, winter is coming and the angry mob torches will help save on my heating bill.
Now let us look at just the facts. I have only seen the FIRST episode of each series. So I am just judging this entirely based on the pilot episodes. (YES I plan on watching more episodes but right now I'm just a bit more excited for next week's ELEMENTARY. )
Let's look at the heroes
In ELEMENTARY (US) Holmes is a tattooed, bondage loving former drug addict fresh out of rehab. Right off the bat you get the idea that this is a flawed, damaged, and more INTERESTING character.
In SHERLOCK (UK) Holmes comes out as a near "MAGICAL" super sleuth who's only fault is being socially awkward at times. He used to smoke a lot and it IS hinted that at one point he may have had a drug problem. However, he doesn't show it. At no point does the UK Holmes look like he's not 110% in control of the situation. He's like a British BATMAN. Just f

Althought my birthday was the 5th of May, I didn't have time to celebrate it with my friends (and was supposed to party with them yesterday, but the rainy weather apparently was against that project). As that celebration with my friends was postphoned, Sis and her family made a birthday cake just for me and celebrated it in that very private circle, singing birthday songs. It had the power to bring a big grin on my face and to literally make my day! I also had a wonderful time watching that last episode with my friend, it was so full of chills and emotions and...
Okay, I think you can get the point: I'm awkward and I don't care!

I can't explain really that: does it comes from the fact that I'm now in my own element? That I keep receiving fanarts without getting wtf is happening to my ego? That drawing creates endorphins to me?
I don't know and don't really care but trust me: if I could gave you just 1% of my positivity, you would never stop smiling!
I promise I'm so damn happy!
Now back to my drawings, comic-strips, novels, singing sessions, cosplay's projects, workouts, cooking lessons...
It feels so damn good to rule college AND creativity at the same time, so I don't have to care about school's stuff.

More music videosI didn't expect it would be so difficult to add text to my comic pages. I keep changing the dialog, adding stuff, modifying entire parts until it has almost nothing to do with what I had in mind a few years ago, when I made the first pages.More music videos in Personal More Like This
I've only finished to write 12 pages so far... that's a shame.
Expect to see altered cards again around here, because I have some commissions to finish.
And now, some music videos. Why? Because.
I just like them for various reasons and wanted to share.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrTC2ROEYqQ Mike Oldfield, Heaven's open. An old fave, I was surprised to see the music video was animated when I checked it out a few years ago when I finally got Internet at home.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tY5RErnakc&ob=av2eOwl city, Alligator sky. "BOUUUUUH OWL CITY SUCKS". Can't care less, I love that guy's songs and the music videos too. They're uplifting. Especially this one.

"The City Council announces the opening of a new dog park at the corner of Earl and Sommerset, near the Ralph's. They would like to remind everyone that dogs are not allowed in the dog park. People are not allowed in the dog park. It is possible that you will see hooded figures in the dog park. DO NOT APPROACH THEM. DO NOT APPROACH THE DOG PARK. The fence is electrified and highly dangerous. Try not to look at the dog park, and, especially, do not look for any period of time at the hooded figures. The dog park will not harm you."

50 pages of my graphic novel Obscura : done.
There's still some panels I want to remake.
And the cover - there's still no cover.
I want Obscura part one to be finished this year, though.
After that, I'll try to get it published, and if I can't, well, you will probably read it for free on DA.
Whatever the outcome is, I have learn stuff while making this, so I guess it was a good idea anyway.
Work in progress:
Cleaning the pages of Obscura (5/50)
Bipolar painting (Upper half done, the rest is half finished)
Myst fanart (Haven related) - halfway done, in standby
A random cardboard painting
Altered cards. A lot of them.
Stuff I'd like to do:
100 themes challenge (5/100)
Shaman King fanart
The Cell fanart

I've kinda disappeared for a bit, and wanted to write a little journal why I've left Facebook, Twitter and kind of my online persona. If you care to read, down below you will find my reasons. I hope you're well, and will try to post more art soon. Feel free to discuss below your opinions on the matter, and I'll try to reply. My answer goes far beyond "I've just been busy!" and maybe you too will connect with how I've felt:
The other day I received an email from a fellow follower of my work, asking the question of why I left Facebook. Not that everyone should know my daily activities, but if you haven't noticed, a couple of months ago I had deleted my FB in order to focus on my property LMS, as it's shaping up for film, and the next book in the series, LMS: Welcome to America
Now before I continue, this is strictly my opinion. I know people like to get angry online, so if you disagree with it, you have every right to
A little story...Wanted to share this story with you guys, and future creators:A little story... in Personal More Like This
After getting out of a slump, I wanted to share this story of something I went through a few years back. Bit of a read, but thanks for sticking through it
As you know, Comic-Con is arriving and as I prepare for it, I grow more and more anticipated with anxiety/joy in regards to the re-release of Last Man Standing.
As long, challenging, and mind-opening the creation of LMS was, something really stuck with me.
Before I had created LMS, I wanted to work for WETA Workshop. To those that don't know them, they've created props, designs, sets, costumes, and more for The Lord of the Rings, Avatar, District-9, Elysium, The Hobbit and many more films.
I was obsessed and inspired with them. The creator, Richard Taylor was always a huge inspiration to me. After viewing supplements on the Extended Editions of The Lord of the Rings DVDS, I knew right there: I HAD TO WORK FOR THEM.
So I al

When I first sold LMS to Paramount, a lot of people asked me: "How much money did you get?" "You're probably rich now, right?"
I mean, the solid gold mansion I bought was just a little gift to myself...but...
Ever since I was little, I've known I wanted to draw. From the day my parents put a pencil in my hand, this was my future. I just knew it, I had that gut feeling. So I stuck to it, and thankfully it took me to heights I'd have never imagined possible. Now with my new book Redemption heading off to studios soon for a hopeful movie package, I can't wait to see where this new road takes me.
That said, there's something else that tops all of this.
The other night I went out to visit my girlfriend's cousin and her family. Incredibly kind people with very sweet kids. Other than the two parents, there were 3 kids, but the one who caught my interest was the eight-year old boy, Diego.
Diego, shy, tiny, slender, reminded me of myself when I was his a

I would have gotten back to them, but unfortunately had to go to the ER for a jaw infection that consumed a good chunk of my face. Been a shoddy last week or so, but i'm healing and back to normal (one could beg to differ).
While in there, I was thinking of how much art means to me. I often hyper focus on it, and don't pay attention to my surroundings, thus how I've ended up in the ER twice this year already. Lately, I've been hiding my work and not sharing as much, due to wanting it to be the perfect reveal. But what's the point, if there's no art to show?
I want to make a strong effort back into Deviantart. This community is what began LMS and turned it into what it is today. Check out the first book LMS: Killbook of a Bounty Hunter: Here
Real Life and StuffHi everyone. I've been gone an awfully long time, and I am sorry for it. I have been around, just completely tied up in real life. From last year to now things have changed a lot, and after a bit of a tragedy in March, life seems to be getting back on track.Real Life and Stuff in Personal More Like This
Real life has a way of catching up with us all sometimes I suppose. I feel a bit lost admittedly, but I really hope that that will change soon. I feel older than I have been before and I have K and all of you to thank for my newfound wisdom. My writing is slowly getting back on track and my latest piece is a bit different from any others I have written.
I now live in a gorgeous little apartment above a wonderful wedding venue, and plan to get a dog the moment I have the opportunity to. I have been working full time at a special needs school and believe me, it is one of the most rewarding and amazing jobs ever. All of this in one year! Phew!
How have you guys been? How has real life been?
How to Get a Life.Exactly a year and a half ago today, my mother had turned to me and told me something. She had said, "You will never manage in the real world. You will never be independent. Stop trying, you just don't have it in you."How to Get a Life. in Personal More Like This
Today, I am happy to say, I have proved her wrong. Because I did exactly what I was supposed to do. I went out and got a life, and the kind of life I am proud of.
Over the last year, I have found my soulmate, completed my Masters, gone to Sweden and South Africa, got a job as a teaching assistant in a special needs school whilst I figure out my PhD and, as of the 8th of March, will be moving to my own very nice apartment with K.
Remember this. If I can do it, ANYONE can do it. I am not special, I am one of the 99 percent, and if I have the strength to fight, it is because you were all by my side every step of the way. Thank you...thank you for being there for me. Thank you for helping me change my world for the better.

And then he was taken from me as well...for no fault of his own, but those of a few misguided words. I don't blame him. I never ever will.
How do you recover when you have nothing left to recover for?
Because I do have something to recover for. I have every single one of you. You give me faith...and hope and make me believe in myself. Thank you...thank you for making me believe in myself again.
I love you all.

It happens to be the day I flew back. The flight back to England was very long, only because I knew what was waiting on the other side and I couldn't wait to see him again.
When I got off the plane, I don't think I have run faster in my life. I stood in front of the area where the bags were coming out and acted like some kind of idiot really because I was literally pacing around it trying to get my bags out as fast as possible. I borrowed a stranger's phone to call Kurt at that moment because I knew when I crossed those doors, he would be waiting for me on the other side. And when I walked out with my trolley of stuff, there he was. Right in the middle wearing a white t-shirt and a pair of jeans, his arms open wide to grab me, I could see him before I even walked out of the doors at Heathrow. I left my trolley at that point because honestly, I didn't give a damn where it went and in seconds
