In her wake, a balloon from the Globe-Gallopers Society coasted along at full sail, barely managing to keep up with its heroic guide and guardian. An old friend and frequent patron, one Dr. McMonocle, gripped the craft's wheel in his hooves and a finely ground lens in his eye socket. The grizzled, grey whiskered earth pony scanned the horizon with a gimlet eye, trusting the intrepid pegasus mare to lead him to his current quarry: the world famous ethnologist, equinopologist, and explorer Professor Wander, who'd been missing for well over a week.
He drew himself up expectantly as Daring banked and traced a wide soaring arc, like a wheeling falcon, and circled back toward his conveyance. She came alongside the gondola, sheltering from the boiling sun under

Applejack was circling Soarin as soon as they both came up for air from their greeting, staring in horror at the healing slashes across his flanks and the deftly repaired tears and muted blood stains on his flight jacket. "Land sakes! What did those varmints do to ya?"
Her voice cracked slightly as she brought a hoof to her mouth and stared at the red stripes across his cutie mark. "Just... just look at ya!" She let out a sob as tears began pool at the corners of her apple green eyes.
Soarin turned to face her and took her into a tender hug with both forelegs and wings. "Shh... It's okay, sweetheart. I'm fine. Really." He gave her a wry smile. "I'm not much to look at even on a good day anyway."
He pushed her back to foreleg's length, his admiring gaze playing across her gingham and lace finery and her plaited golden locks trailing beneath the hat she'd worn on their first magical date. "But look at you! What did I do to deserve this

I was most impatient to return to my research on the confounded sky beacon, but I dared not begin in earnest lest I would be obliged to stop again and throw in a hoof at helping to set up our household once our erstwhile earth ponies arrived.
Thus, I mostly laid out in the fields around Paradise Estate with Crimson and his viol, passing the languid late summer days watching little Dawn caper and explore among the wildflowers. I fear that her majesty is of a delicate temperament and quite unused to unbidden physical contact since she ascended to the high throne, and thus seeing the newcomer bearing down upon her, she let out a shriek rather unbecoming a monarch and tripped over the trailing hem of her gown in her haste to back away. I watched aghast as my lady toppled rump over horn and wound up as I did with her hooves in the air. The filly laughed with glee and leapt atop her, causing her majesty to wail quite indecorously and thrash as she nuzzled her face and giggled.
At this point some clot headed, half-wit mooncalf in the guards cried out that my lady

She cocked an ear and slowly turned as a deep voice called to her from the edge of the clearing. "Ya ready, sis?"
There her tower of a brother stood, a gentle smile on his ruddy face and a bright bandanna around his massive neck. He held her battered old cowpony hat in the crook of his broad hoof. Applejack rose

He wanted me to become a fan of the show as well, because he said that the show has good morals and is pretty funny; despite its original intended audience being little girls. While I don’t enjoy it people trying to make me like something, he’s my best friend, so I thought I’d take his word for it.
This all happened when I was walking home from school with him though, so of course while we were walking he couldn’t exactly send me a link. He said that he would send me a link when he got home. After we parted ways, it was only a short walk home for me.
When I got home, I checked my computer to see if he had sent me a link; his house was a bit farther than mine, and he hadn’t sent me the link because he hadn’t gotten home ye

In the deep color of the night sky, the bright moon shined down; surrounded by hundreds upon thousands of stars. The luminous moon’s light glistened off of the surface of the lake, causing it to shine like precious crystals. This lake was on the outskirts of a city, surrounded by a large park.
In the city near the park, a figure moved swiftly along the rooftops. The method he was using was parkour, and he was quite skilled at it. His large, cat-like claws indicated that he was not a human, but a demon. Clad in black pants and hoodie, along with white gloves, a black and white scarf, and a black and white mask; the demon made his way out of the city and into the park.
The demon slowed slightly when he entered, but still made his way through the tree branches using diligent parkour. He finally reached the edge of the sparse forest, if one could even call it that, and was now looking at the large body of water before him.

It was a normal night. Zehnder was walking around, Esther was following. So far nothing too exciting had happened. They were walking in silence, and there weren’t many people out either; it was only about eight o’clock.
They were passing by the park, and Zehnder stopped. He motioned for her to stay quiet, and then entered the park. Staying out of the light, Zehnder looked around. Esther followed, trying to not make any noises; such as stepping on a dead leaf.
Zehnder looked over towards a park bench; someone was over there. He pointed at the young woman sitting on the bench, signaling that she was his next target. Esther expected him to simply go up behind her and smash her head in, but instead he walked away. Esther followed, confused, but interested.
Zehnder walked a little ways into the woods; far enough that a scream would be hard to hear, but still close enough to the park that it was easy to get to.

Ryan was walking home from school. He took the route he usually took back to his house; a small sidewalk path near the woods that was away from where most kids walked. Life was tough for him. He never had a friend there; he often wondered what it was like to chat with a buddy or go hang out. Although he never really understood why the others made fun of him, he now had given up on making friends and just avoided the other teens all together.
Ryan walked slowly; he enjoyed being out here, alone; no one calling him names or asking why he was hitting himself. He looked out and watched as a robin flew happily by, singing its happy song and flapping its proud wings. He saw a squirrel climbing and jumping briskly among the tree branches. Considering that I've never met you before, but then again
Perhaps that's the reason why I don't have to pretend.
Some people might tell me, that what we have is just a fantasy,
I doubt I'll have the chance to actually see you in this life-time.
But even so, in the time that we've spent together - Well,

And twas I who loved her...
I held her in these hands,
Like a warm blanket,
Comforting and kind.
But she was a bitter poison, toxic and deadly.
No antidote to her venom;
I wasted away with delirious eyes.
A coward they called her,
And it was the truth!.
But to save myself, I would have her bleed.
Her heart a raw panacea;
Crunched between my teeth...

He sees people in the streets,

Others sad. Hearts beating,
Hearts broken; some warm, some cold.
He looks back at her, as she stirs in bed.
A yawn from her, brings another smile to him:
"How cute," he chuckles as he strokes her head.
He runs his fingers through her hair and is content.
Yet, even if he is happy here, again -
He is drawn to that window and finds himself

Isn't there something that I can do?
Isn't there a better way for us all?

He wants a better world for her,

You're tired, unable to create anything.
You feel angry; the anatomy's wrong!
Why won't these words come together?
"Nothing's right anymore, my hands tremble..."
Yet the solution is fairly simple...
I'm showing it to you now;
Break up your ideas, smaller sized.
They come together, like in Tetris.
Rotate the blocks; shape your art.
Draw chibis and stick figures too.
Instead of epics, try a haiku.
How about a six word story?
If your mind is blocked, overheated.
Let it cool; take it slow.
By attempting all the smaller things,
Your art is sure to grow.

You find yourself, now surreal,
Surrounded by clocks with a ticking squeal.
You walk to the kitchen, a hand you find,
A platter in which to place your mind.
The microwave dings, the toaster rings,
From the oven you pull, intestinal strings.
You stab with the knife, it ends in your head,
Place your mind into a toasted bread...
You walk to the car, you breathe in deep,
You look into your pocket; the bottle you keep.
You take a long swig, it's a magical drive,
Your soul falls asleep while you await to arrive.
Silence, broken silence,
Emptiness filled with eyes and ears,
Rainbows haunt and tear the skies,
Falling rain like bitter tears...
Broken and unspoken,
Suddenly you are bowed!
Your throat explodes with shards of glass,
It ends the life to which you vowed...
Each gurgle of blood that is caught on your lips,
The sputum you cough is fleck

Rarity put down her own cup and looked at her in sudden concern from across the table. The two of them were sitting at their favourite table at the Dandelion Clock Café and enjoying a little afternoon tea together, but Rarity for some time now had noticed that Twilight, although moody at the best of times, was especially moody today for some reason.
"Darling!" she said. "That's the third time you've sighed in as many minutes! Now I know something is most definitely wrong."
Twilight lifted her face from observing the tea to look at her friend. The white-coated unicorn's eyes were regarding her with concern, but somehow Twilight didn't feel like talking to her.

Sometimes a pony of Ponyville needs to get something off his or her chest, but they don't want anyone to know about it. So they write it in a letter and give it to Derpy to deliver. And Derpy can tell, by the wistful look on the pony's face as they hand her the letter and by the fact that the letter has no stamp on it (for the Ponyville Post Office gives every pony a page of stamps the day after every Winter Wrap Up with their own unique cutie mark on them to use throughout the year), that the letter isn't meant to be delivered. Imagine if he found out [about "Friendship is Magic"]! There's no way he would approve. But I want to buy merchandise, shirts, and other stuff. So what do you think I should do about telling my parents?
Answer: Your dad sounds like a royal prick. I don't know what his upbringing was like, but your sexuality isn't defined by watching a simple TV show. "Phineas and Ferb" might be geared towards an audience younger than yourself, but I'm not sure why it would be considered, in his eyes, to be 'gay'. I think he might be getting mixed up between watching something that's distinctly effeminate and watching something that targets kids in general. #46) What's with the crazy adoration for brony 'celebrities' [people popular within the fandom]? Some of these people are treated as guests at conventions just as much as people working on the show. It pisses me off that the fandom worships certain popular bronies. What do you think of this?
Answer: It's important to remember that brony 'celebrities', as you put it, are just normal people. And, in some respects, yes, certain individuals are seen through rose-tinted glasses. I always find it amusing when fan-musicians, for example, are featured on guest lists for conventions above people such as Daniel Ingram, the guy responsible for most of the songs in the actual show.
Then again, the fandom likes its idols, and there's no point in getting pissed off just because said idols are receiving a great deal of praise. Most of the brony 'celebrities' deserve at least a portion of their fame, and so it seems fair to say that if people are willing to look up to these people

She shifted her body, trying to at least get the ceiling to go back to where it belonged, and return is space to the floor. This turned out to be more difficult than she had imagined, as her drunken self had apparently managed to delicately balance herself in this precarious position. A balance that was lightly stolen away as she moved, and fell head first onto the carpet, the rest of her body joining its leader in a crumpled mass above it.
At least the
Allegrezza - Part SixteenVinyl finally managed to dislodge the treacherous treat from her trachea with a fit of heaving coughs, aided by Bonbon's frantic hoof patting her back to help her along. She had to admit, she was glad the cupcake had been ejected before somepony started the Hooflich Maneuver on her. Her normally porcelain-white face was blushing a similar shade to her eyes, and her heart was fighting against her rib cage as if it wanted to escape before the whole respiration thing got a little ugly.Allegrezza - Part Sixteen in Short Stories More Like This
Bonbon leaned back from her vigorous back patting, glancing at the tray before setting it out of both their reaches. "No problem at all. Sorry if I shocked you."
Her breathing had improved, but the blushing only increased. "Shocked? I'm not shocked, I'm cool with fiillyfo-with being with mares and all, it's okay. Just that yeh, I didn't know you could actually marry another mare."
Bonbon giggled into her hoof, her beige cheeks lighting up slightly. She was especially quick
Allegrezza - Part Twenty-TwoThe short walk to Octavia's rehearsal passed in something akin to an awkward, heated silence. Octavia had made it quite vocally known exactly how difficult it had been to recalibrate her sound system to her usual specification. It was around the moment when Vinyl suggested that her modifications had improved the sound of the system that Octavia almost felt like throwing one of the Ponysonic speakers at her.Allegrezza - Part Twenty-Two in Short Stories More Like This
Vinyl had left Octavia to it. After eating the pancakes, making something up about a DJ-ing gig, and exiting stage left as rapidly as possible while Octavia was still in one of her moods. At this moment in time the tension was still persisting between them as they trotted down the road, and Vinyl found herself wanting to break the incandescent silence between them.
"So...you fixed it okay?"
"Well, of course I fixed it in the end. What you failed to anticipate is the hour and a half it took to do so. I had to listen to Beethoofen's seventh symphony five times before I could pr
Allegrezza - Part TenVinyl carried her alcohol with roughly the same precision that she carried herself while under its influence. In effect, not very well at all. A hoofful of Stagner's bottles later, and she devolved into a barely coherent mass of stumbling limbs and slurred speech. While it had crossed the minorly tipsy Octavia's mind to simply let her walk home, and maybe watch at a distance with a box of popcorn, she decided it was for the better to help her somewhere safe where she could allow her liver to slog its way through the backlog of alcohol in her system.Allegrezza - Part Ten in Short Stories More Like This
Thankfully Vinyl's choice in the winebar for the night had placed them within reasonable distance of Octavia's apartment. So Octavia had opted to take her home, (not that Vinyl was anywhere near capable of conveying a yay or neigh on that question.) It was due to this turn of events that Octavia found herself half-propping, half-dragging Vinyl to her home. In essence she had become a ponified crutch, and admittedly, her alcohol intake for t
Allegrezza - Part Thirty-OneThe midnight moonlight crept through the curtains, illuminating the room within. Eerie protrusions burst forth from the floor and walls, casting grim and wavering shadows that seemed to stalk their way across the room. Octavia had never enjoyed nighttime, her night sight had never been something to shout about. Sadly, Vinyl's room was full of all manner of debris, casting irregular pony-shaped shadows onto her imagination.Allegrezza - Part Thirty-One in Short Stories More Like This
The problem being, of course, that Octavia couldn't sleep. But an hour ago, this had been something of an advantage during the nighttime activities. Now though, it kept her mind turning over the same niggling doubts, snowballing them into overbearing worries and trepidations. She glanced at her...partner. She supposed that was the correct term, was it not? It had been a worryingly infrequent label that she had been unable to apply to many other ponies. Yes, the insufferably idiotic- yet practically saintly - mare laying beside her was her partner. Octavia felt assure
