I can hear him again, my father. He’s yelling. He beats us; my two brothers and I. Ever since mother left the beatings have gotten worse. I still don’t know the exact reason why she left, probably just couldn’t take him anymore.
I’m sitting on the floor of my room. Well, actually I should say our room: I share it with my brothers. I’m staring out the window, trying to ignore it. But it’s hard to. I can’t hear what he’s saying, but he’s angry again; it’s probably over something small.
I guess we’re lucky that we’re demons and not humans; demons have better endurance and can heal faster after all. But it still hurts. I shouldn’t worry too much, it’ll be over soon and my brother should be alright; we always are. Or at least we don’t end up in critical condition.
No, this time something seems different. He seems more angry, probably drunk or something, but it’s worse. I hear something shatter, p
Analysis - Slenders and ShinigamiAUTHOR’S NOTE: And I know this isn’t exactly a subject that is argued among people, but these are my (GingaAkam’s) personal observations and thoughts. If your thoughts and personal headcanons do not match up, then I’m fine with that; to each his own. If you would like to have a logical discussion with me, then we can set up a time in the chatroom; I’m always up for a good and logical discussion or debate. Just don’t bitch to me that we don’t think the same, no one has the same thoughts as others all the time. We are all different and special, just like snowflakes and slenders –throws snowflakes and slenders- But if you decide that you must yell and flail your arms like a three year old, then I don’t have any respect for you at all. The next day, Esther is wondering about the tall man again. She thinks she may have approached too strongly, but she was determined to talk with him again. She had the day off today, so she planned on looking for him again.
* * *
Esther walked around the park that she had seen the tall man in. It was still early in the day, but she wanted to see if she could find him. She passed by several people, but not the tall man. She thought she saw him once, but it turned out she was wrong. Plenty of times she smelled smoke, but they were just regular people smoking.
Then she decided to go deeper, Esther found the little dirt path that he was walking the other night. She followed it into the woods to look around. She didn’t want to get lost, so she stayed on the trail. Esther searched the trees and looked for a sign of him, but she found none.
She saw several animals, which was nice; a large stag, a frisky squirrel or two. Esther decided to try the more urban areas. She walked out of the f

It’s late, and dark. There are hardly any people around, but still Zehnder walked around like he normally does. Esther is following him, joyful that she can finally be with him. Zehnder walked silently, and when he passes by anyone he only turns his head slightly to look at them; they never notice. He seemed to be looking for a worthy candidate.
After walking around for about an hour and a half, Zehnder finally sees someone that he feels like killing. The person seems to be young, maybe still or just out of college. They were walking a large dog, a German Shepard.
Zehnder muttered under his breath “What the hell kind of idiot walks a dog at this hour?” He began to walk across the street; they were still a little ways away from the dog walker. Esther began to follow him, but he turned around “No; you wait here.” Esther stopped obediently and waited.
Zehnder reached the other side of the street and began to approach the man with the dog. The man didn’t

Kage watched from the shadows as Scollex snuck up on, and then killed a few more people. It was interesting to watch, even though Kage felt he wanted to do some of the killing as well. He didn’t interfere, because he didn’t want to make Scollex angry or irritated.
Scollex began to move on, and Kage followed.

The human screamed as wings emerged from Scollex’s back and into the air. Before they had a chance to run, Scollex’s arm morphed into a claw and he grabbed them. Morphing his other hand into a claw as well, he slashed the human across the face and neck and dropped them to the ground.
Scollex’s wings folded, and his claws changed back into hands as he watched the human bleed out and die on the ground. This was the fourth kill of the evening, and he was contemplating whether or not to go out and find another unsuspecting human to stalk and kill.
Kage was perched on top of the streetlamp, watching the bloody scene. After the human was dead, and he n

The two demons had made their way to the city that was next to the woods with the house. Before returning to the city where Doku lived, Kage wanted to search this city.
They climbed the buildings to give themselves and eagle eye view of the surrounding area; but they didn’t seem to be able to find any other demons, or even shinigami for that matter.
They continued to search, talking as they went.
“So, tell me more about these shinigami.” Kage asked, looking down at the road from a rooftop.
“Well, that one that I told you about first, the one with the black robes and scythe, he doesn’t seem to be friendly with anyone. I don’t know what his motive is, but he never seems to attack humans, only demons and other shinigami. I avoided him the few times I’ve seen him, and that was a while ago. But I saw him go after this other shinigami once, maybe a year or two ago.” Doku explained, scanning the windows of a seemingly empty building.

I was in a happy and cartoony looking town. Looking around, I quickly realized that I was in Ponyville. I looked around to see if I could find ponies, because you know, Ponyville is where ponies live. And I had no idea what the hell I was doing there, so I just stood there being dazed and confused. I didn't see any ponies anywhere, no background ponies at all. But suddenly around a corner three ponies came running, and they ran past me. They were a little bigger than me, but were going fast so I didn't really catch who they were. I noticed that there was a unicorn, a pegasus, and an alicorn.
Them being the only other sentient creatures there, of course I looked at them, still confused as hell. They ran away, but the unicorn stopped and turned around to look at me. At once I recognized who the unicorn was; black mane and tail, white pelt, light gray hoodie, staring eyes and cut up mouth along with a bloodied knife for a cutie mark; it was Jeff the killer, as a pony.

The doors burst open, several policemen rushed inside; guns aimed and ready. Others stayed outside, some in the open and some crouched behind the police cars.

“Want to take the ones outside? I’ll stay inside and get these ones.” Kage replied, unsheathing his claws.
“Ah, sure; just be careful.”
“I will, don’t worry.” Kage jumped to the wall and quickly climbed to the ceiling.
Doku went the other way, grabbing his bladed staff and going through a window. Outside was dark, from the roof Doku could see all around. Police cars surrounded the building, maybe half a dozen or so. Beside them were the police.
Doku stayed in the shadows, looking to see which ones to get first. He spotted two of them who were quite close to the building. He moved over to them quietly, without being noticed.
Then he shot out the bladed staff, piercing one of them in the shoulder. They cried out

It was once again night. It seemed like another beautiful night, the stars were numerous and the moon was bright; occasionally hiding behind clouds only to reveal its stunning beauty once more.
Someone sat atop a building near the edge of the city, looking out towards the large lake. They were surrounded by bloody towels and used bandages. It was Kagekao, he had managed to make it to the city and find medical supplies in time to dress his own wounds.
It had been around a week since they were attacked by the shinigami. He could remember each scene as if it had only happened moments ago. He could remember holding Sadie in his arms, and then watching as she drifted away from him forever.

The earth was solid beneath her hooves, not insubstantial like the clouds she'd grown up on, but there was still a welcoming softness beneath her tread.
All around her there was music, the songs of birds and the gentle hush of the breeze rustling the leaves of the trees, so different than the harsh whistle or the empty roar of the winds of her lofty home in the sky.
And the colors! The cloud of butterflies that had miraculously cushioned her fall had dispersed like a thousand pastel colored jewels, fluttering to and fro among the countless flowers adorning the sw

We abided 'neath the stars that night, wrapped warmly in blankets around a blazing fire, as our yeomane escort kept watch against the deeper darks beyond the ethereal ghosts of the tree trunks that surrounded us.
The cries of owls in the night and the wind rustling through the leaves drew my mind back to our exodus from the old lands. That rootless feeling, as dear Cookie often called it, stole upon me, lying under an open sky with the trail beneath one's hooves having neither an end ahead 'nor a home behind to return to. To be cast adrift, with one's self and soul but a tiny mote of being in a vast, unheeding, uncaring world.
But these musings could not linger, for reminders of the differences from those cold, weary days of a decade ago came to me in the warmth and soft breath of my beloved Crimson at my side and the stirring and gentle sighs of dear little Dawn Heart in my embrace. The sky manor was looking much better from when they'd first arrived, with the wisps scraped off and the rainbow fountains showing a bit more of their old color. A weekend's work by several of Dash's old friends from the weather patrol, most of whom were rapidly becoming Soarin's new friends as well, had taken down those parts of the baroque structure that were too decrepit and consolidated the house into a very serviceable dwelling for a bachelor pegasus. Rarity had stepped forward in her inimitable fashion and soon had the clamoring herd of press ponies eating out of her hoof, but despite the elegant fashionista's best efforts a torrent of inquiries were being relentlessly directed at Twilight as well, putting her even more on the spot than she'd been with the pegasi of Ponyville.
The worst part of the whole affair was that it had been agonizingly superficial. Any time the scholarly unicorn had found herself warming up to an answer she was giving, a glazed look in the eyes of the questioner, or a gentle nudge and shake of the h

Her horn glimmered with a corona of blueish white magic, floating the gilded alarm clock off of the shelf to squint at the time. She let out a low growl as the bells jangled again.
With a huff of irritation she flopped out of bed, her violet mane tightly bound in curlers and a scowl on her face, and slumped across the room to the ornate phone set. Hello, hello, can you hear me speak?
I'm afraid my voice is getting weak.
My screams and sounds are growing quiet;

Without them I'm colourless, just an empty face
Oh no, oh no, I'm in a dirty place...

Where the entrance smelled of rotting flesh.
Putrid and vile, bloated with maggots;

For the mouth was a facade to deter the weak.
But the inside was opulent, rich and vibrant;

Displayed on a throne of solid gold.
She wore a dress of beautiful silk
Red in colour, and very bold...
Her scent reminded me of gentle flowers
It soothed the soul to behold this sight.
She appeared in the form of an ancient goddess;
Bathed in a pillar of mystical light...
Do you like what you see, my dearest hunter?

Coming close without a hint of fear...
She licked her lips and smiled at me

Considering that I've never met you before, but then again
Perhaps that's the reason why I don't have to pretend.
Some people might tell me, that what we have is just a fantasy,
I doubt I'll have the chance to actually see you in this life-time.
But even so, in the time that we've spent together - Well,
I feel as though I've connected with you, more than anyone else.
I feel as though I know you better, than those just a few feet away.
You might take this little confession as something silly,
Maybe you'll even forget about it as time passes,
But I for one could never forget about someone like you,
And so I'd like to dedicate this piece, to the beautiful you.

#46) What's with the crazy adoration for brony 'celebrities' [people popular within the fandom]? Some of these people are treated as guests at conventions just as much as people working on the show. It pisses me off that the fandom worships certain popular bronies. What do you think of this?
Answer: It's important to remember that brony 'celebrities', as you put it, are just normal people. And, in some respects, yes, certain individuals are seen through rose-tinted glasses. I always find it amusing when fan-musicians, for example, are featured on guest lists for conventions above people such as Daniel Ingram, the guy responsible for most of the songs in the actual show.
Then again, the fandom likes its idols, and there's no point in getting pissed off just because said idols are receiving a great deal of praise. Most of the brony 'celebrities' deserve at least a portion of their fame, and so it seems fair to say that if people are willing to look up to these people

#79) As a woman should I be worried that the people that run our fandom are guys primarily (example: Equestria Daily)? I must say I was a bit offended when I saw sexualized ponies getting featured.
Answer: This is a fantastic question, because it's so multi-faceted and it raises genuine points about larger issues that exist in society. Despite feminism and suffrage, and policies that increasingly purport to grant women greater levels of equality, women are still marginalized in a lot of circumstances.
It's fair to say that Equestria Daily is a male-run website. You have the occasional female admin (Phoe springs to mind) but naturally, Sethisto is the dominating force of the website, and, I imagine, the one with the power to accept and veto the overall decisions that Equestria Daily makes. A simple glance over the site suggests that it's run by men, for men: you can quite frequently see images of ponies in 'sexualised' poses, and on more than one occasion they've linked t

We knew not what we saw, but we sought to understand it for it had captivated us so.
We walked a path unknown, but as if we knew where to go, in search of the answer to this mystique.
We created beautiful images, beautiful words, beautiful sounds, and beautiful dreams not unlike the ones we saw.
And it was beautiful, everything was beautiful, compelling us to walk further.
On this frontier we joined our hands in brotherhood, dedicating ourselves to eternal friendship.
As we walked those who dared to hate did not exist and those who dared to exist did not hate.
But we were the only ones there when it happened,
and so we alone can walk this path. For now...
The Crystal EmpireI: The Search for MemoryThe Crystal Empire in Free Verse More Like This
A place forgotten by time
is found after a millennium.
It is known as the Crystal Empire.
In this place most real a bird of peace could sing and reach the farthest star;
and while a bright epoch is in it's future, it's history is unclear.
It's memory is all but lost.
it's security threatened by forces seldom remembered.
Only a remembering could bring it solace,
but where the memory lies no one knows.
To behold it's magisterial grace in it's day could teach the world,
but what once was grace is now uncertainty
as the citizens search for what they have lost.
II: The Shadow from the North
Darkness in it's purest form
as a monster with a heart of stone.
From the north it approaches,
precariously hanging off the blackened winds cast by his every step and breath.
He waits beyond the empires gates unable yet to enter,
so he only stands near and inflicts his menacing presence upon the land,
his standing alone fading its luster into dark shadows

Jake x Reader - Life Adventure - Chapter ThreeYou sit on your bed, resisting the urge to cry. Jake had promised you that he’d be back almost a week ago. You had to face the facts; he left you, and you would never see him again.Jake x Reader - Life Adventure - Chapter Three in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Jake. The boy whose hair had the most perfect form. The boy whose glasses made him look so intellectual. The boy who adventured all across the land and told you his tales so you could fall asleep at night. The boy who, when clueless, was practically the most adorable thing on the planet. The boy who turned around and showed his bum just to give you the worst nosebleeds.
And most importantly, the boy who was the everything in your life. You loved him more than anything, and he had just gotten up and left you. He didn’t bother telling you the truth, which is odd, because you figured that if he ever did leave you, he would tell you up front. He wasn’t the kind of guy that would do that, or at least you’d never thought so. Part of you wanted to believe that Jake would be back, and the ot

“Did you have a good day at work?” Dirk asked.
“Yeah, it was okay,” Dave answered, “Nothing really happened, except the boss was mad at one of the workers today.”
Dirk blinked. “What happened, little bro?”
“Oh, it had to do with the waitress this morning, y’know, the one you were hitting on.” Dave shook his head at his brother disapprovingly. “She wouldn’t stop talking about you and now you got her in trouble. Nice going, bro.”
Dirk was surprised. He didn’t think that [Name] would really care. It was a café and she saw bunches of people every day. All he had done was compliment her drawing. Why did that matter?
“Okay, first off, I wasn’t hitting on her,

Rain was pouring.
Winds were roaring.
Tremors were rumbling underneath the feet of running pedestrians.
The world was falling apart.
You were running around, trying to find your friends. The only two people that you could count on a situation; the Striders. You knew that their house was close... at least you thought it was. You couldn’t really tell, what with rubble flying everywhere. You wanted to find them. You needed to find them.
Suddenly, someone grabbed your wrist and pulled you into a hug. You struggled to lift your head, but you were able to see that it was Dirk Strider who had found you. You quickly hugged him back as rain poured over the two of you.
“It’s the end of the world, not a hug fest,” You heard someone say, immediately recognizing the voice as Dave’s. You pulled away from Dirk and gave Dave a hug as well. You were so grateful that they had found you in all of the commotion.
“What do we do?” You asked.
