I'd like to write a pic-fic for this one, but I'm still debating when it took place... Third Year after the Dementor incident, or Fourth Year after the Tri-Wizard tournament - I'm leaning towards the latter, seeing since Snape is sure to be conflicted, having been drafted back into his spying duties...

We'll see what the Muse has to say. :XD:

More pop-culture maths fun. This one is just in time for the movie! Can't wait, I'm sure Joss Whedon is going to do a great job with the characters!

Things have been a bit too Marvel-centred in the superhero maths department, so here is a DC alternative to my Avengers Maths: The Justice League!

The Strength card represents more a kind of quiet, inner fortitude rather than a flashy, feirce in-your-face kind of strength. It is more about character, an unshakeable spirit and compassionate endurance. It subdues by being gentle and persistant rather than by violent force.
Prongs is Harry's Patronus, the personal guardian and protector of the wizard or witch who casts it. The Patronus can only be formed by tapping into your deepest, happiest feelings and thus defeats evil through the power of love rather than sinking to the same evil depths. It takes great strength to call up such feelings when confronted with those soul-sucking dementors and other such threats!

Ace of Cups/Founder of Hufflepuff: Helga Hufflepuff, the founder of the Hogwarts house of Hufflepuff, which welcomes hard-working, honest and fair pupils. This card represents emotion and love, intimacy and relationships. True team-players, Hufflepuff students get along with everyone and are quick to forgive.

Three of Wands/Gryffindor: The Pensieve

The Three of Gryffindor/Wands is the card of premonitions, foresight, planning and stepping back and looking at a situation from a greater perspective in order to proceed in the wisest manner. The Pensieve is a tool for gaining such knowledge, and using the Pensieve gives Harry the information he needs to lead the way.
