SW: Hanabi's LessonHanabi stood at the center of the chamber, a blindfold over her eyes as she held her practice sword in her hand. It was little more than a metal stick just shy of two meters long with a handle, but it did the trick of simulating a real saber even if it was heavier than one. Around her she could sense her apprentices, the three young teenagers were easily distinguishable from one another in her mind: the latent aggression of Nierdra with her barely contained energies waiting to burst forth at a moment's notice, Romun's analytical uncertainty as he prepared himself for the sparring lesson, trying to gauge the best moment to attack and of course little Keera and all her misgivings. Of the three of them, it was Keera that reminded Hanabi the most of her self when she had been younger. It had been decades since Hanabi had been that unsure of herself, when she'd still been apprenticed to her own Master.SW: Hanabi's Lesson in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This

The Clone Wars: Broken Home
Having completed their mission to Nar Shaddaa, Jedi Master Kahan and Commander Aira-ty Nokta rejoin their command to find Kahan's old friend Master Guo-Jia waiting for him, having taken temporary command of the 13th Assault Corps after losing most of her own forces. The reunion is tarnished however when Aira-ty finds that her sister, Shaira-na, is aboard the Guardian having been rescued by the Wolf Pack from slavery. Confronted with a reminder of her long forgotten family, Aira-ty learns that her homeworld is no longer the paradise it once was and much has changed.
Torn between duty and a feeling of needing to prove herself, she resolves to return to her homeworld in an attempt to set things right only to find that she will not be alone on her personal quest. The allies she has made in the past months of combat stand fast besides her in defiance of orders and embark on her private mission alongside her into contested territory far beyond Republic s

Quinn looked up from her desk, she was still recovering from all the mayhem of the last few weeks as the Alliance had absorbed the shock of its victory over the Empire here at Endor. Just a week before a task force had been dispatched to some Imperial fringe world to aid them against some sort of attack from unknown aliens. The galaxy was changing very fast.

The slaver forces occupying the the fourth planet in the Lonagh system were hardly a militant force. They were just enough to enforce their rule on the local population and their starfleet as it stood was mostly transports rather than warships. So it was something of a rude shock when the ships of the Aegis fleet dropped out of hyperspace beyond the gravity well formed by the planet. While the star destroyers hung back to deploy their fighter compliments, the cruisers in the fleet were sent in to annihilate what opposition there was. All ships were given orders to fire disabling shots in case there were any captured inhabitants aboard. Soon the the space above Lonagh-Wha was secure and the nasty work of ship and planetary assaults began.

The ship has three docking rings for DropShips to attach to, as well as two small craft bays.
Neatly docked inside those bays were two KR-61 long-range shuttles: Golden Sable and Silver Fox. They were the newest additions to the ship's complement, only ten years old. Cera was a lovely young woman, her classic Japanese features beautiful and elegant.
Ian had some formal attire, coming from royalty and all, and knew how to handle himself among the peerage, although it'd been some time. Everything had gone pretty much to plan. It had taken two days to get Shearling ready for launch, and then she had lifted off to meet with Distant Memory at the pirate point. The ship jumped to Newton Square where Shearling detached and began the in-system journey, which took just over four standard days. There was some bureaucracy to deal with once they landed, which slowed things down, but Jimmy was able to give the Stinger in question a complete inspection. Most people in the Innsbruck media were calling it the Battle of Innsbruck, while others (with more historical and military perspectives) were splitting the fight with the pirates into two events: the Battle of Ferdinand Park, and the Battle of Northend Fields. But since the Battle of Innsbruck was the first name heard by the public, that's what the majority of people were calling it. History would attend to itself.
No matter what you called it, there was no question that the raiders had been totally decimated. Five of the nine crewmembers aboard the Leopard class DropShip had been killed when Garadun destroyed the bridge. Sky listens closely to the voice emanating from the TV "SKY! SOMEBODY HELP ME! GET ME OFF OF THIS CRAZY THING!"
"Jason....no, NO! JASON! NOT JASON!" Sky yells. He sees the rocket take off. He hears Jason's blood chilling scream come from the screen. "NO JASON!" Sky looks at Exeunt, "WHY?! YOU SICK MONSTER! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO JASON?!" He gets held back by the guards again, "YOU BASTARD WHY?!"

Voices echo from the first floor, Jason was only half awake so it was a bit difficult to follow along with what they were saying;
"Come on Sheriff let me see him! I want to make sure he's alright!" says a female voice.
"Why do you care so much about him anyways? He's a stranger; we don't know anything about him! And all he's done so far is cause trouble!" says the familiar voice of the sheriff.
"But Buck was the one who started it! He was just drinking some water!"
"Buck was just trying to defend the town just like I do, if you want to go see him then fine! But I'll be keeping a close watch on you two."
Just was the Sheriff says that Jason can hear someone coming up the stairs. He lifts up his head and looks at the door as the girl steps in. It was the same girl that he saw in the bar who stood up for him.
"Hey there sugar cube you alright?" she coos.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine, if you don't mind me asking who are you?" Jason asks.
"My name's Wolfy, Wolfy Hound. What about you?"

Sky wakes up and looks around. He was in a bed in the guest room. He gets up and walks downstairs. Surprisingly he didn’t feel sore. When he reaches the kitchen he sees Dawn with her back turned.
"Hey Dawn," he says, but Dawn doesn't answer, "Dawn?"
Again no answer. Sky walks over to Dawn grabbing her shoulder and forcing her to turn around. He looks closely at her face and sees there is a squid on her head. He screams and falls on the ground staring at her. One of Dawn's arms lift up off the side of her body and starts heading towards Sky, mumbling the words; "Kill, Sky."
Sky immediately stands up and runs out the door. Once he's on the streets he notices that everyone had squids on their heads. They all turn and look at him. Soon enough they're chasing after Sky mumbling the same phrase that Dawn did; "Kill, Sky."

They all run out of the alleyway and into the dark streets. Sky was getting soaked once again by the heavy rain. Sky slips and falls on the ground scratching his nose. He gets back up and checks behind him. He doesn't see any guards; however he doesn't see any of his friends either.

(Two weeks later)
The time had arrived; everyone in the city knows the news. They're all gathering important items, food, water, children, and pets and preparing them for the journey out of the city. Sky on the other hand was preparing for the biggest and hardest fight he would ever have in his life. He couldn't fall asleep because of how nervous he felt. 'I don't even have my butter sword with me.' He thinks to himself, 'what weapon am I going to use?' He pushes these thoughts out of his mind and focuses on readying himself. He has to remember to stay calm and actually think.
His alarm sounds at 12:00 exactly. He turns it off and gets up, walking over to the wardrobe and opening it up. His armor is hung neatly inside. Sky takes it out and puts it on; making sure that everything was secured tightly.
They arrive at the squid skyscraper. They find a vent they can sneak through. While they're crawling through it Sundee goes over to Sky and begins whispering in his ear; "Sky I

Sky looks for any other possible way he could get past her. He can't go around her, she would catch him easily. He can't go over her because he can't jump that high.
Sky charges at her at full speed. She gets ready to receive the attack by readying her second sword. But then milliseconds before Sky hits her, he ducks right underneath her, using the hydroplane that was on the pavement to slip past with ease.

"Not my fault, Sherlock," John reminded him placidly. He hitched his paper higher so he wouldn't have to see Sherlock furiously crawling over the furniture.
"Are there no criminals left? Surely more are born every day, every hour!"
"This is what hobbies are for." John coughed politely. "And not the kind where you put severed bits of corpses around your flat. Real hobbies."
"Oh, like your blog?" Sherlock sneered. "Rubbish."
John peeked over the paper-shield, mildly offended. "Hey now. That blog gets you your clients at times. You shouldn't make light of it."
He gasped as there was a rush of air, the paper ripped from his hands before Sherlock settled heavily on his lap. John swallowed nervously; this was a strange new habit of his friend's as of the last few days. Sherlock was usually content to invade his personal space, but avoid touching. Now, Sh

Sherlock mumbled something unintelligible and John groaned softly as he peeled his eyes open. They felt dry and itchy, and he rubbed his face against the smooth skin without thinking. Sherlock's scent made him take a deep breath as he woke up further.
They'd somehow drifted to the other side of the bed, Sherlock splayed on his stomach with one arm hanging over the side. His other was curled possessively around John's waist, who was pressed against his side, their legs hopelessly tangled.
Once again the normalcy hit John like so many bricks, and he spent several moments lying there, entranced and amazed by the sound of Sherlock's breathing, by the stray hairs on his eyebrows and the curve of the pointed lips. Sherlock was still muttering occasionally, the low, smooth tone igniting pleasure across his skin.
He could wake up to this every morning now if he wanted to.
Unable to resist the temptation any longer, John shifted

John barely registered Sherlock's position in the kitchen; instead, he focused on the immediate threat of the two contained fires burning merrily on the table by the sofa.
"Fire oh Christ fire." Even just those few syllables wafted more of the stench into his nostrils, and John coughed thickly as he reached for the clear glass sitting near the fires.
"I wouldn't pour that on them if I were you." Sherlock padded up next to John, giving him a quizzical look. "Unless you wish to spread the experiment to the entire table. It's alcohol."
"Christ!" John repeated, stumbling backwards and into Sherlock's chest. "What- My god, man, have you gone completely 'round the bend? That smell! What's- What's-,"
"You should be able to identify the odor," Sherlock chided, rapping John on the head with a folded newspaper. "Burnt flesh. Specifically eyeballs, in this case. I had two mismatched ones that I froze a fe

The sharp, familiar ache woke John, and he groaned as he rolled his shoulder experimentally. He froze when long fingers feathered his short hair.

He took a deep breath and shifted, prepared to sit up, but the hand massaging his scalp felt too damn good to move just yet.
"I've been thinking." Sherlock's voice was entirely too alert.
"Not surprising," John yawned. "Been up all night?"
"I don't require sleep, I require stimulation."
John sighed, poking the leg beneath his face irritably. "Your body does."
"Perhaps. Are you fully awake? I've been waiting extremely patiently."

The circular conversation on the ride back to the flat only flared John's annoyance.
"What were you going to say?" John asked for the second time, jaw set stubbornly and giving his question a hard edge. Sherlock only looked more confused.
"I had not thought of anything else to say. I merely responded to your self-depreciating comment of being an 'open book'."
"You were going to say something!" John gestured between them. "Or do something? Don't act thick, I know you were."
"John," Sherlock spoke in a maddeningly calm tone, "I had no premeditated intentions at that moment."

Sherlock looked startled before he huffed a laugh. "I did absolutely no such thing. You're reading a lot more into this than occurred."

By the time John reached the sitting room- each stair step had to be taken one at a time, god it was so frustrating- the smell of toast and tea had filled the air, and his stomach couldn't decide if that was a good or bad thing.
And Sherlock was just sitting there, normal as you please, staring intently into his microscope on the kitchen table, a piece of toast cooling beside him.
Figuring the tea would offend his body the least, John carefully poured himself a cup and made his way to his favourite chair by the fireplace. It had molded over the last year to his backside, and he settled comfortably with a grateful sigh.
But the silence wasn't their normal I've just woken up, bugger off quiet; there was a thread of tension hanging in the air that was unusual unless one of them was in a fit. John had just mustered the courage to speak up- whisper, at least- when the toast was thrust into his vision. He recoil

When John woke, the dimness of the flat and the overall stiffness of his body told him it had already reached afternoon. He clumsily reached for the lamp nearby, pleased when the burst of light caused minimal reflexive pain behind his eyes. Even if his vision swam a bit and he felt like he could float out of the chair, they were much preferable sensations to the migraine.
Next he tilted his head, listening to the faint traffic outside the twin windows. The flat was quiet, the only noises reaching his ears coming from beyond the walls. Somewhat odd; Sherlock rarely ventured out on his own anymore.
With a sigh that melted into a groan, he unfurled his legs and shakily stood. "Sherlock?"
Light footsteps resounded out the half-open door, and John frowned as Mrs. Hudson bustled in.
"Oh dearie, Sherlock told me about your migraine," she said sweetly in her gentle way. "I popped in an hour ago, you were still napping."

Sherlock slept restlessly, rolling about his side of the bed and even occasionally muttering nonsensical words. John dozed for only minutes at a time when Sherlock was more calm, studying his friend closely for most of the night.
Sherlock had insinuated he was partly responsible for him being in this state; but that couldn't be true, could it? John had left the flat many times before when Sherlock was in a fit of pique; what made yesterday so special that he'd resort to this?
What an odd term to use. John still felt miffed about being labeled as such. Technically, he was Sherlock's flatmate. Realistically, he was much more- but a toy he was not. He hadn't put up with the brusque manners and sometimes revolting habits just to be entertainment.

The chandeliers were most definitely real crystal, sparkling with a thousand pinpoints of light overhead. The plushy furniture was arranged neatly around polished tables, resting atop the most gorgeous fur rugs John had seen in or outside of a magazine.
He felt dirty, with the faint scent of the earlier nastiness eroding off his three year old sweater and his scuffed shoes and his trousers with one defunct pocket. Sherlock, of course, looked perfectly at home in the posh setting with his tailored clothes and impatient demeanor.

Sherlock glared at the waiter until he left, then nudged one of the buckets of ice toward John. "They don't have your preferred champagne, but this should be similar. Ah. They had a Château Pétrus."
"Oh god, dare I ask what this costs?" John tilted the dark wine bottle to read the label. "Pétrus, 1998. Oh, a Merlot. Nice. Yes, I'll take the champagne." He lifted one of the sterling silver covers, gaping at the tiered tower of chocolate cookies.

It was a disturbance in the Force like none other. A schism in the fabric of time and space and creation. A jolt that only Force sensitives across the span of the galaxy could feel.
And it could not have come at a worse time for the Jedi.
So powerful was the disturbance that the Jedi in the Temple felt a wave of pain and weakness. Everyone from younglings to Masters felt varying degrees of weakness. Something was draining them of strength, energy....and connection to the Force.
Obi-wan and Anakin made their way to the Council Chamber. Mace, Yoda and the rest of the Council were sitting in there chairs. While they kept a meditative appearance, Obi-wan could sense they were fatigued.
"You felt it?" Obi-wan inquired.
"We have." Yoda answered, looking tired "A shift in the Force. As if it were being sucked away."
Mace concurred "It felt like a wave across the planet, passing from world to world through the galaxy. T

The Sophy had been in flight for a few days now. Ahsoka had just rescued Barriss from the clutches of Commander Tarkin. She was about to be frozen in carbonite, a dark trophy to be used in a complicated political game between Palpatine and the Jedi.
Ahsoka had disrupted the scheme. Disguising herself as a clone trooper and infiltrating the group. It wasn't the first time she had slipped past the Republic soldiers.
Why did she do it? After a harsh betrayal....after a humiliation and disgrace put upon her, she had nothing to lose when she walked away from Anakin and the Council.
Why go back to rescue a traitor? A murderer?
Because Love cannot be explained, and should not be explained. The feelings Barriss and Ahsoka had felt were shuffled away in the dark corners of their hearts and minds, but it took a jolt to finally free those emotions, finally move past the denial they had both put in place. Ahsoka returned to free Barriss from a terrible pu

Rex looked out at his men, grimacing as he began the briefing for a new top secret mission.
Ahsoka and Anakin were behind him, listening intently.
"Boys, this one's going to be a tough bird. In recent weeks, several of our attack groups were hit by a mystery weapon, pushing us back from our advances across the galactic front. For a while there, we could not find the 'super weapon' that was harassing our ships and stations. High command sent out probes to measure the trajectory of these mysterious attacks, and we found the location. You're not going to believe this!"
Anakin stepped forward "Planet Aracta is a cold hostile world with many mountain ranges and brutal blizzard storms that manifest themselves across the planet. It is also where the Separatists have kept a diabolical secret. A hidden base, with a super weapon so discreet we might not ever have found it."
Anakin revealed a 3d hologram map of the planet surface,

"Hurry up, Ahsoka! We are getting ready to leave." Barriss urged Ahsoka to pick a costume. Barriss was already in her kitty cat outfit.
Trick or Treating was about to begin and they had to pick up Asajj, Padme and Riyu Chuchi.
Ahsoka grabbed the Hutt outfit, big and bulky though it was and started squealing in delight.
Barriss sighed "You goofball! Why don't you ever wear the sexy maid outfit?"
Ahsoka pouted "Because EVERYONE wants me to wear that one! Nope! I'm going to dress like a fat stinky Hutt! *HAW HAW HAW!! CHUUUN WOOKIE!!*
Ahsoka presented herself in a fat Hutt suit with a pillow inside to make her look large. She even had a large tongue in the mouth piece and used it to fake slobber all over Barriss.
"STOP IT!! That's GROSS!" Barriss closed her eyes and felt her body twitching in disgust, but Ahsoka just laughed.

It was Ahsoka's first day with the Jedi as a newly confirmed youngling, a day among many to be first time younglings from around the galaxy.
All of the new younglings were gathered in the Temple garden. Ahsoka was a little nervous, since this was a big ceremony for her and the others.
The garden was intimidating at first, filled with thousands of varieties of trees and plants, generations of plants brought her by generations of Jedi who came before her. It was a paradise of epic landscape.
Master Windu led the new class that would become part of the future of the Jedi.
"We start your first day by tuning you with the Force." Mace said gently.
There were about 25 younglings. Each of them was carrying a potted plant into the garden.
Ahsoka carried a bright pot with a healthy patch of Turu grass from her home world. She looked and saw that each youngling carried a tree or plant native to their home world.

A dozen regular droids and a Commando droid were watching over Satine, who was tied to a chair, hooked to a large explosive device.

Struggling in combat for several days, they fight against the nefarious Admiral Trench for control of the planet.
"Master! Slow down!" Ahsoka grabbed Anakin's shoulder as they pushed forward down the vast corridor of a space station that wrapped around the planet.
"Sorry, I forget I take big strides!" Anakin grinned.
Ahsoka looked at him seriously but smirked a little as they deflected the blaster shots of the droids around them. They slowed down to let the rest of the troops catch up to them. Anakin was not so suicidal this time, he was feeling his confidence return, his sense of adventure with each new encounter.

It was the same dream, over and over. Barriss Offee had remained in her prison cell for a week, after confessing to heinous crimes of treason, betrayal, sabotage and murder.
She had remained without emotion, except for thinking back on the trial, and the dream she kept having. Was it a vision? If it was, it filled her with dread.
Every night, the dream felt cold, like an artificial death, and black like an evil skin. She could hear a sort of lifeless machinery going on, a terrible breathing noise, and a scream that was female.
Every night the dream ended in the same dreadful way. The breathing, cold machines at work, and the blackness with a shape. A female shape that was clawing from the void, with a brief scream silenced forever. And a voice that said one phrase over and over. "Still alive." Was this to be her future?
She would wake from the dream with a small gasp, feeling claustrophobic, gasping for air, and feeling the cold, the blackness,

There was some resistance to new changes, but the war weary people of Coruscant and the Inner rim had almost completely embraced the idea.
Anything to end the war.
"Master, the circle of our power in the Republic will soon be complete. Our fleets are already establishing themselves in the Core worlds to help administer a swift changeover."
"Commander Tarkin, Lord Vader" Palpatine graveled under his hood "There are still those who resist, and some reports of escaped Jedi still carry back to us. I leave you to expunge the survivors quickly."
Tarkin had a small smile of satisfaction "Resistance to our new Order will crumble. The few Jedi that remain will be hunted down. What few that remain are in scattered, isolated areas of the Outer Rim. Rest assured, we will extinguish them.

Ahsoka put her best foot forward and walked away. Where will she go now? Her despair was so great she could have fallen to pieces there. Anakin watched in shock as she left. How could I have hurt you this way?
The blame was my own; the punishment, yours

But into the stillness I'll bring you a song
And I will your company keep
Till your tired eyes and my lullabies
Have carried you softly to sleep
Once did a Jedi, so wise yet so foolish
Look out on Skywalker with pride
He smiled and said, "Surely, you are the one
Who’ll bring balance
With me who’ll be right by your side.”
So great was his praise, so brilliant his wisdom
That long was the shadow he cast
Which fell dark upon the young student he had
And grew only darker as days and nights passed
Lullay Obi-Wan, goodnight Padawan
And rest now in moonlight's embrace
Bear up my lullaby, winds of the earth
Through cloud, and through sky, and through space
Carry the peace and the coolness of night
And carry my sorrow in kind
Obi-Wan, you're loved so much more than you know
Forgive me for being so blind
