Well it's about time! I was unfolding the armor as I went so now that I've almost got everything built I thought I'd post a visual representation of a lot of different files that I've unfolded on my way to making a full set of Daedric armor.

Here's my pep file for the daedric sword from Skyrim. I haven't built it (yet, maybe...), but I think the scale should be right on with everything else I've been building.

My first Daedric Helmet was my first attempt at using Pepakura Designer, and while I made it accomplish what I needed it to do I decided to unfold it again. I'm pretty proud of it, especially since it's an obvious indication of how much I've learned.

This is the 1st time I have ever made anything using Pepakura so i'm a pepa nub cake.

This is the cardstock paper i assembled into a Daedric Skyrim Helm. I used Fiberglass Resin to harden it inside and out *inside has fiberglass cloth*

I Am Dovahkinn~
My birthday is 11/11/87 - year of the rabbit
and when Skyrim came out, it was the year of the rabbit!
So For my 8th year of going to Anime Central
in honor of the year of the Dragon and Skyrim
I am going as myself, Dovahkiin.
I'm making a full set of Daedric armor~

My model of the Stormcloak guard helmet from Skyrim.

The Reference was gathered in game then set up in Photoshop.
The base object was modeled in Maya then exported to Pepakura for unfolding/UV layout. Then it was brought into ZBrush to capture texture info and sculpting.

The chest armor for Gabranth I finished this weekend. Not the funnest part of the build.

Costume of the character Judge Gabranth in Final Fantasy XII.

All parts were modeled by me using Maya and ZBrush. Patterns were created with Pepakura. Materials used so far include EVA foam, 3mm styrene sheets, and 3mm foam.

It's pretty straight forward . So far my budget for this costume hasn't exceeded $60.

Here is the Skyrim Daedric Female Helmet! It measures about 14 inches. Scale it for yourself before printing! Enjoy!

This is the hobby horse from Alice: Madness Returns. This is the Level 4 hobby horse. I made the pepakura file from scratch, and when finished the model will be four feet tall. There is a possibility of the file being released.

A tutorial!! Gasp!! I haven't done one in years!!

But I thought I'd just make a quick simple one showing how to obtain that 'worn look' when painting pepakura armor.

I think all the info you need is on there. Enjoy! Hope it helps!

Just to everyone is aware, the helmet is NOT the EVA helmet, it's the Pilot helmet. The visor was HAND MOLDED using an oven and well.. hands. And because of the type of acrylic plastic we used, that was the best we could do with it. It is NOT vac-formed. The top of the visor IS a bit inaccurate, but other than the the rest is 100% accurate (with the exception of the back, which isn't finished)
HUGE thanks to my bf as well to managed to muscle his way into hand molding my visor for me

The left shoulder guard is the UA/Multi-threat shoulder. Rest of the armor is standard female spartan reach armor.

HUGE thanks to my friend Ly (aka Pikminlink) for wearing my costume in order for me to take pics. Oddly enough, we are the EXACT size. XD

The method I used to make my armor is called pepakura. Please do a some research and reading and google it. I get asked WAYYYY too much on how, or what pepakura means. Google is your friend. Use and annoy that, not me....

This is pull 2 of my finalized V@ of my Daedric helm. There is still work to do to it, such as get it black chromed and put the eye masks in as well as the demonic eye lighting and microphone.

With my to-do-list already busting at the seems, odds of me finishing all of these in time to use for Halloween are........none. However, if you are like me, then I feel sorry for you----either for wanting a specific piece of armor badly enough to search for it for literal years, or for having the patience to organize these monstrously detailed and somewhat glitchy PDOs yourself. ^^;

Basically, this is what is left to do. And you will need Pepakura Designer 3 (shareware) to do it.

ZIP Contents, in the order that I intend to finish them in:

1) Terra (with Ends of the Earth) Secret-boss model from KH2fm [comparison animation]

2) Aqua (with Stormfall) Room of Sleep model from KH2fm

3) Alphonse Elric From FMAb the PSP game

4) Megaman Zero (with Z-Saber handle and blaster arm) From Marvel VS Capcom 3 (same model I got this helmet from)

5) Megaman X (with blaster arm) From Marvel VS Capcom 3

6) No Heart (with Xehanort's Keyblade) From KHbbs-fm

The prep work I did on these models took around five hours, in case you were wondering.

Wargreymon's armor isn't included because I should have it finished by the end of the week. it's done! :la:

And if you're just now tuning-in to my gallery for the first time, I've already finished Ventus' armor. :la:

Or if you're familiar with my old papercrafts----my SOLDIER armor set is due for a PDO remake as soon as I get my Crisis Core models off my bro's computer.

O God, what have I got myself into? :iconfaintsplz:

*EDIT* FINISHED UNFOLDING THE ENTIRE SUIT!!! :la:

AND FIGURED OUT THE SCALE, TOO! The default size of this template is best suited to cosplayers who are 5ft 7in tall. However, though, I've also added a 'key' to help accurately re-size it yourself if you need to. :D

Thrown together via request. So far only the helmet is properly organized on the print layout, but the entire suit of armor IS there. You'll just have to arrange everything yourself if you want the rest of it before I can get around to polishing this off all spiffy. Ven's armor was actually 6th down my 'To-Papercraft' list, but whatever. Quick and half-hat often actually IS better than a-year-later-and-perfect. ;)

This is Ventus' gameplay model from "Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep". Default size is 6ft 3in (190cm) tall from shoe bottoms to horn tips. I have not yet calculated what that translates to in terms of wearer-height, but I'm sure you'll manage.

EDIT 9.6.12: AYE CRUMBCAKE I FINISHED IT!!!! 214 PAGES!!!! :iconfaintsplz:
That's a stack of normal printer paper 1-1/2 inches thick. Cardstock is recommended.

IF YOU ONLY WANT ONE PART OF THE ARMOR, like the claws or helmet, just set your printer to only print a range of pages. That's what the Table of Contents is for. The reason I keep large packs like this together in an individual PDO is because I like for stuff to scale up in correct proportion.

Speaking of which, I made a more refined "scale-finder" image, and it turns out that the default size is actually best suited to cosplayers who are 6ft tall. But, as you'll see, there is very much a gray area. I've put two options on the scale-finder----even head-heights or even shoulder-heights----but strongly recommend the later.

And don't forget to check ON alignment marks for multi-page parts. This template is loaded with those.

If it's not too daunting......ENJOY! :headbang:
