Lolololzzz.... is this can be considered as hip hop one? she seems just like modeling on a fashion show..XD
well, this is a request rather a suggestion from a friend..saying that why won't I make a Lightning wearing some hip hop clothes and put some tattoo and I decided to put her l'cie mark which is located on her left breast..XD
hope you like it.^^

Cover Pencils to Salemís Daughter 2011 San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive for Zenescope Entertainment.
Been dying to draw Anna Williams from Salemís Daughter for quite sometime now so this cover was pretty exciting to me when it was first pitched. My original layout for this cover was deemed a little too ostentatious for publication so this is the official watered down version youíll see debuting at San Diego Con this summer. Unfortunately you wonít be seeing the other layout hit shelves any time soon, but Iím keeping my fingers crossed for the chance to use it sometime on another project. Perhaps if Zenescope decides to do another swimsuit issue I can pry it in there someplace but no word from the top if that book is going to happen again this year.
Over all Iím pretty happy with how this turned out. I like to think of this as a little homage to Mike Turner and all the pretty girls he used to draw on a beach with the water running over them in one way or another. Some of those illustrations were a big influence on the over all look of this cover so I hope it doesnít look like I aped TOO much of his influence.
On an unrelated side note Iíd just like to apologize for my recent lack of communication with all of you here on DA over the last several weeks who have left comments, asked questions and sent notes. I encourage you to please keep doing so as I do read them, and I will reply as soon as my schedule lightens up a little bit more. Iíve been trying to arrange an equal balance between the increasingly demanding professional life and my most important family life so unfortunately Iíve had to cut back on the time I spend online keeping in touch with all of you. Thank you all for your gratitude and patience I hope you can understand.
Also been working on something cool planned for release at Phoenix Con this May that will be available to all of you directly from me immediately following the con so hang in there the best is yet to come.
