"I.....brought the pizza." was all I could get out. Zim’s alarm system was off, but I don’t know why I just walked inside. Why didn’t I knock? Why didn’t I knock?! Now I was stuck in what felt like time, worse than when Zim actually got me stuck in that time vortex. The skin I couldn’t stop thinking of was in front of me, bare. I couldn’t stop staring. I must have zoned out because I didn’t notice he had moved until he was in my face.
"Dib! Are you alright?" his gloveless hands were on my shoulders, shaking me back and forth slightly, probably trying to bring me back to Earth. "Your huge face is so white! What's wrong?" why was he half naked? Why did he take off his hoodie and his gloves in the livingroom?! No, it was my fault I should have knocked. "Dib-worm!" Zim called out once more.
"I couldn’t find chocolate pizza so I bought chocolate bars too." It was the only thing I could think of saying. It’s what I had

Hearing his voice through the phone was like an echo of my dream. I could feel my face getting flustered. I took a deep breath, waiting for him to respond. I gulped.
"Yes, it's Zim. Listen pig-stink, I need you to do something for me." He was talking like he called all the time! I felt myself getting a little irritated. Almost like all the aggression I had from our past fights were beginning to rumble together in my head, like an earthquake that gradually builds up.
"Hold on a damn second, Zim!" I felt myself getting a little loud so I looked around real quick around my cubicle. Not only had no one seemed to have heard me, it looked like almost everyone had left for lunch. "Just what the hell are you calling me for? And what gives you the right to give me that tone? What the hell's going-" I was cut off by the robot screaming somewhere off into the background. Zim sighed into the phone agitatedly. I could picture him in my head squeezing two of his fingers on the brid

I was terrified for a moment when I stepped into the tube. Zim could have been easily tricking me to destroy myself, but it’s been so long. Why would he try to kill me now? He tapped some codes into the touch screen thingy. It was all in irken so I had no idea what any of it said. Afterwards, he walked towards the other tube. He looked so worried. With his antenna whimpered to the back of his head, he was the very image of vulnerable. This was crazy. Why did he even want to be able to be human? Maybe it was for a better disguise. I honestly didn’t care much. I wanted to see if it would work. I wondered for a second on why he didn’t just steal a human if that’s all he needed. He hated asking for someone’s help so why not take someone against their will?
Just as all these question jumbled through my spinning head I glanced over at Zim. He was so pinned up in the tube. His shoulders were tightly pressed near his head in a clinch, almost as

Through the damned tangles of the cottony-earthly torturous clothing, I could hear the door open. I tugged off the hooded cloth swiftly to see the Dib human staring idiotically at the door, pizza and chocolate in hand. I knew as soon as I saw him I shouldn’t have left the field offline. He babbled about getting the food and sorry for one thing or another, but everything he said seemed to spill out of his mouth more than actually speak about anything. I could feel his eyes on my chest and it was starting to make me panic from his lack of attention. Grabbing a hold of his large broad shoulders and gave him a few strong shakes, bringing him back to the filthy planet from wherever his mind had hid away. My toe talons were at the very tip as I reached to clasp ahold of him. He had gotten so much taller, the bastard.
When he woke up and began to be a little more normal I instructed him to sit down on the couch unit and took my clothes with me to a close

I trusted the scan to work…mostly anyhow. I swallowed as I waited for the light to finish scanning us. Dib seemed more interested and focused on me, instead of his own fate. I mean I DID tell him that nothing would happen to him…which it shouldn't, but still he held no hesitation to just sit there and watch me. Then I felt the morph begin. The sting of the light that blinded my vision was strangely invigorating. I felt that my eyes were being rinsed of all there color then suddenly grew back but a smaller tunnel of vision like my lenses. All the while, my skin was burning. Not like the cooking burn of rain water, but like my skin was melting inside out. I felt my lekkus split at the end and unravel into threads that felt like they were growing all over my head. ‘W….what the hell did he just call me…?’ I asked myself as Zim drug me out the house by my sleeve. The sky had gotten a little purplish as the night worked its way around. I hadn’t realized how long I had been at Zim’s house. I had to walk with Zim for a little since I parked kind of far. Zim didn’t have a drive way, so I parallel parked a little passed it. He walked slightly behind me, but held onto my sleeve still. He eyed my car and I blushed at my embarrassing ride. It was a bucket, I knew that, but I had forgotten about how Zim had high expectations for mechanics. His own ship had engines that surpassed all on Earth so there was no way I could have impressed him, but I wished it at least wasn’t a beaten up old ass Camaro. Don’t get me wrong, I love my car. I just felt inferior to Zim’s technological experience and tastes.
As I glanced over my shoulder, Zim didn’t seem to mind my car. He wa

When I inquired to look at Dib’s body he became unresponsive for a moment but then his jaw seemed to unhinge. “What’s wrong with your face?” I asked, an eyebrow raised.
“N-nothing. I uh…no I don’t think that’s necessary.” Dib stated with large eyes and a cracked voice. Had I asked something strange of him? Irkens had no issue of nudity. It couldn’t be a modesty thing. All the information Gir had researched for me through the TV promptly showed that almost every age of human was open to being nearly naked. All the young and older, female or male; all dressed half naked on the screen of public TV so it couldn’t be a sacred thing. Why was this such an issue for the Dib thing? Unless he was hiding something!! That has to be it! Maybe he DID get hurt somehow in the scanner and said nothing due the excitement of my own breathing issue.
Zim shook his head and leaned closer into Dib’s space. “No,

The ride to the lab was intense. I kept feeling like something was wrong. Zim seemed to be acting stranger than usual. He was touching his face and breathing uneasy. I knew I shouldn’t have let him have his way…This was more dangerous than he realized. What if his hood slipped off? What if his glasses broke? Some of the most curious scientific minds work there and I doubt they’d believe he was wearing contacts. I couldn’t help, but clinch the steering wheel while I tried to calmly instruct Zim to stay close. I was relieved to hear that he wasn’t about to argue or ask too many questions.
When we got to the gate, an officer leaned in my window and checked my id. He didn’t seem to care who was next to me. No one argued about what I did at the lab thankfully. I was the head scientist’s son. Have to admit; it has its benefits sometimes. Zim had been quiet for once and for that I was eternally grateful. It wasn’t until I put

I awoke to the alarm on my phone blaring at me from my side table. I reached over in a grumpy manner and picked it up to press snooze, my sleep filled eyes burning from the bright light of my screen. It was 5:30am and too early for the sun to be out. I stopped the noisy alarm and let the phone fall out of my hand. I curled back into my covers, groaning. I knew I had to get up to go to work. Every time Dad lets me leave early from work, he always expects me to be early the next day. I sighed as I snuggled my face back into my pillow, curling around the warm lump of covers next to me. I thought I felt something prick my nose lightly and I swatted it away before rubbing the tickled area. It was then I felt the touch of a soft smaller hand grace my shoulder. I licked my lips as I enjoyed the last of my sexual conquest as Dib stood over me. He obviously tried not to watch too closely though I’m sure he liked the view. His breathing was still labored and his face was still very red. He was back in his jeans and shifting uncomfortably, but I could sense, feel, that his entire body felt a million times better. I remembered he had reacted the same way the night before. It must have been some kind of human reaction to the over stimulation.
“Zim…what was uh..” Dib started as he scratched the back of his head, smiling like an idiot, but looking away like he was nervous. “Does this mean we’re like uh..” He chuckled nervously. I raised an eye at him and wondered what he was indicating.

He was staring out at the building, his hands clenching the vehicle turning wheel so tight that his knuckles had turned white, the skin constricting over the bone. He didn’t really have an expression on his face. He was just staring, from the building to the center of the wheel. I accidently jumped when he looked over to me. He looked like he was trying to figure out some kind of mathematical formula that was written on my face. He reached over to me and placed his hand on the back of my neck firmly. “You’re okay?” His tone made it sound like it was more of a statement.

"It's a human, a very rare find nowadays...which means it's far more than you can afford." The salesman said, shooing the poor alien away with his claw like hands.
This was how it was every day, the human was packed up in his cage and set out like an item to be bought and people who noticed him were always too poor to buy him. The human had used to struggle and scream at the salesman in a strange language that nobody in their right minds knew, but after a couple of beatings he'd been silenced and he now obediantly sat in his cage cross legged, not even bothering to look up from his lap. Most would believe he was dead were it not for the calm rise and fall of his chest and occasional sick cough that escaped him. He was clothed in the skinny jeans he had been found in years ago and they were stained, ripped, and much to small for him.

Dib opened the door to the Membrane household then tugged the alien inside. He finally relieved Zim of the trench coat wrapped around his head after he'd closed the door. He sighed in relief that had been much harder than he'd expected. The human walked over to the couch to sit down, completely content with letting Zim do whatever until he wasn't high anymore.
"Where are the snacks?!" Zim yelled right before Dib could sit down.
Dib let out another sigh, though this time it was more aggravated. "They're in the kitchen." He replied gently.
"Can we watch a MOVIE?!" Zim asked suddenly becoming very hyper once more.
"Fine what do you want to watch?" Dib asked, rubbing at his temples agitatedly. He felt like he was babysitting a 5 year old.

What Zim had said had bothered him..and bothered him..and bothered him..and now he stood there thinking to himself. The alien's demeanor had changed...their usual schedule had been practically destroyed, torn apart, stomped on, then lit on fire. He didn't want to kiss Zim because first off he'd never kissed anyone before and didn't plan on it, and second off..this was an alien. He didn't know what horrible and creepy things lurked on the irken's lips.

He just liked observing the many odd quirks the alien had.
His curiosity was piqued slightly. What function did the antennae serve? As long as he’s known Zim and he’s never really figured it out. He assumed they were for hearing and expressing emotion, as they often shot straight up when their owner was surprised or laid down flat when he was angry. But was that all they were for?

It was ninth grade, about halfway through the school year. In an attempt to make school more fun and perhaps revive some crushed spirits, a school dance was held. It was nothing formal, and you could come in whatever you wanted as long as it adhered to the dress code, that is. But no one paid attention to that stupid thing anyway.

That Dib-child just made Zim so furious sometimes. If it weren't for that monkey, he would have taken over this wretched planet years ago. And it didn't help matters that they were in Hi-Skool by now and Dib was almost seven feet tall. Insanely tall compared to the short Invader. Zim, of course, hated Dib even more because of that.
By now they had reached some sort of mutual agreement; neither was capable of winning their endless battle. They were just too evenly matched somehow. They had also discovered that if either were to be permanently defeated, the other would most likely end up depressed and lose their drive.
So actual physical battles ceased to be about a year ago. Now they just insulted each other across the classroom or threw stuff at each other. No different than any other Hi-Skool rivalry, really.

The air was crisp, enveloping the city in that icy grip it always seemed to have during this time of the year. Everything was white save for the red and green decorations clinging to nearly every house and building in the city it seemed. The month was December which meant Christmas was approaching fast. It was a time of cheer and good will towards all mankind...well...most of mankind at least. For a certain 17 year old hi-skool student, it was a time of gloom and bad memories. While the rest of the world celebrated this joyous time of the year, he spent most of his time indoors, locked in his room, just praying that the holidays would pass quickly so he could get on with his life. He hated this time of the year, especially when he had to leave his house for reasons beyond his control. Today was no exception.
Skool still hadn't let out for winter break which meant two more weeks of abuse, mental and physical, from the other students. Dib Membrane was the mo

Dib let go of Zim completely as the Irken slid down to the ground and hid his face in his hands. From where Dib was standing, it looked like Zim was crying, which surprised Dib. He didn't think Irkens could cry and even if they could, he never expected Zim would be the one breaking down in front of him. In all the years he had known Zim, the other had never expressed any other emotions besides anger, fear, and insane happiness whenever he came up with some "ingenious" plan for world conquest. But this was just out of character for the once proud invader. What Dib felt was even more out of character for himself was the fact that he actually felt sorry for the Irken in that moment. He had always thought he'd feel great the day he finally beat Zim but now, he felt the exact opposite. His chest ached, but he didn't know what he could say or do to make the other feel better.

Zim was shocked, and he knew Dib could FEEL it. He didn't know what was going on. He felt himself drowning in a sea of insanity. "...Technically...I'm not a person." was his best response as he looked down at his feet in shock. What was he doing?! He put his hands on his head and started to shake violently. "DO something to make me leave...faster...PLEASE!" He just wanted Dib to spill water on him or poke his forehead with a lamp or something like he had done in the past. He felt like he was in too much shock to get out himself.
Dib winced back a bit at the Irken's pleading. He didn't want to hurt the alien just the get him out, but he didn't know what other options he had. Taking a slow step forward towards the Irken when he began to shake violently, Dib reached out to touch his cheek gently, hoping it would help to calm the other down. "Please, Zim. Just calm down. Dib stared out the window from his desk, tapping his pencil impatiently against his desk. It was almost lunch time. It was still snowing outside, though not nearly as heavily as it had been earlier that morning. He stopped his tapping and looked up at the clock. 5 minutes to go. Leaning back in his seat, he let his eyes wander, looking for something interesting to stare at for the remaining 5 minutes other than the snow. Nothing seemed to catch his eye as being too interesting until he swept his gaze across the row of students Zim was sitting in. The alien was staring straight at him, though he looked away quickly when Dib noticed him. Dib sat up straighter and looked away also, staring back down at his desk top. How long had Zim been staring at him? Was it possible that Zim had been staring at him this entire time and he just hadn't noticed? He felt his face heat up once again, though this time he had no idea why.

Zim kept running but couldn't shake the feeling he was being watched. He looked back to see Dib watching him from behind.
Dib continued to watch Zim as he ran, even when the other looked back at him. It was kind of hard not to when Zim was only a little farther ahead of him. The gap between them, however, soon began to grow as Dib started to fall behind. He was getting tired and couldn't keep his regular pace up for much longer. With the pummeling his body had taken, he had to admit he was having some trouble breathing. The pain of fresh bruises forming along his torso made it hard for him to concentrate on much else.
The teacher blew his whistle for them to stop. "Alright! You can all take a five minute break to get some water if you need to, but then we'll be moving on to doing jumping jacks!" he called out in a loud voice to catch all their attention. Dib kept his in his mouth for about 45 seconds until he was sure he had passed the fever point. Then he spoke. "Is there any chance I can get something to take for my headache?" he asked, his words a bit distorted by the thermometer in his mouth.

"Dib, I missed you last night!" He couldnt stop the deep red blush that came to his face as those words just slipped by his lips. Still hugging Dib and holding the basket of fruit, he could hear and feel his own heart beating faster.
Dib smiled warmly at the affectionate hug as he nuzzled his face into Zim's neck so he could kiss it lightly and whisper against the cool, lime green skin there. "I missed you too, Zim." he whispered, gently gripping at the bottom of Zim's shirt as he rested his cheek against Zim's shoulder once more so the Irken could just hold him. This was the comfort he needed as he wiped the wetness from his eyes on Zim's uniform. Sighing lightly, he closed his eyes and relaxed his body against Zim's for a moment.

Dib heard a giggle and felt a weight on his chest as consciousness slowly came back to him. His mind was swimming in a sea of fog as he tried to recollect exactly what had happened the night before. Struggling to open his eyes, he managed to blink them a few times, light filling his world and momentarily blinding him. He heard that giggle again, so child-like and familiar. He blinked again, his vision finally beginning to clear as he could see a light turquoise glow hovering right above him. Eyes flying open, he came face to face with two, round turquoise orbs staring down at him and let out a startled noise as he shot up in bed and backed away, breathing heavily. It hurt him even more seeing Zim so hurt as his hand slid down Zim's face to rest on his shoulder so he could pull him closer and press himself to the Irken's body. Dib’s hurried pace soon slowed to a steady walk as he got closer to Zim’s base. He delayed getting there as he was both afraid and nervous of what he may find here. He actually started to second guess if this was the best thing to do, but he arrived before he knew it. Once it were visible across the road from him, Dib stopped and stared at it for a short time. He drew in a deep breath, whispering unsure words of encouragement before starting closer towards it.
Zim's base looked pretty similar on the outside, except for where his gnomes keeping his house protected had been destroyed. Though, it did seem to have an eerie aura around it which was something that hadn’t been present in the past.
Dib had made it to the front door now, staring upon it as if there were something fairly interesting about it. In reality, he was just preparing himself for what he was sure would be a quite shocking sight. Finally, he pushed the door open and flicked on the lights wi

Dib found himself completely frozen again as the other approached him slowly. It was almost as if time had just stopped completely as each step created more and more anticipation and fear. He could hardly even bat an eye as his gaze was glued on to Zim with no intention of looking anywhere else.
Zim took agonizingly slow steps to him, the laughing dying down to weak 'e' sounds of an eerie laugh. He stopped when he had reached him, eyes turning wild almost instantly. He leaned forward and continued that grin of insanity, looking like he was a wrong breath away from a total meltdown. "I...want to....." The rest turned into garbled nonsense, but he paused, as if he were waiting for an answer now.
Dib didn't seem to catch on to this though as he was too intently focused on the other's horrifying expression, sending shivers down his spine the longer he stared at it. He considered running, but of course his body wouldn't even allow him to move a finger as he stood perfectly still

Resolve came in the form of first sunlight beaming through the shattered hole that was at one point a window. It immediately melted away the shadows and extinguished the coolness that the night had brought. Everything was completely visible now and revealed to the paranoid human.
However, even after the sun had come up, Dib took a while to convince himself that there wasn't actually anything there, and that it had all just been a crazy delusion in his head. After several more minutes of watching everything around him, he had finally convinced himself that he was alone now, which actually relaxed him and made him realize how tired he actually was. It was too late to try and sleep now though since he had to get ready for another dreadful day of school.
He didn't try too hard, though, as he decided to stay in the bloodied and torn cloths from the night before and only ran his hands over his hair in an attempt to smooth it out. He was far too tired and stressed to be concerned

After several minutes of just staring at the computer in complete terror, Dib turned to the platform and headed towards it. His head turned to look back at it, nodding once as if to thank it before stepping onto the plate in front of him. The platform rose again for him to take him back upstairs into the wreckage. Now he had an answer as to what happened and why Zim was behaving like he was. The better question was, would he regret seeing that though; seeing the complete self-destruction of his now former worst enemy and now current worst nightmare?
The thing that made seeing that video so traumatizing was that he had actually grown to some what care about Zim. Yes, they were enemies both out to stop each other at every turn, but before Zim, he didn’t have a reason to get up every day and go to school. Dib walked down the sidewalk appearing more disturbed than he had since this had started. The lingering taste of Zim’s blood seemed to keep him in an almost trance like state as he walked almost unnaturally down the sideswalk. Of course, the boy’s unsettling demeanor attracted more stares from the people around him.
People went from being distasteful and scowling at him, to almost frightened and concerned for the boy. He'd been progressing so quickly to lunacy lately that some people believed it was time he saw someone about it.
This thought of going to see someone though seemed to be out of the question in Dib’s mind. He knew a doctor would only blame it on schizophrenia or just plain insanity and not even try to believe that something was actually going on. He would only be prescribed some drug to try and rid him of ‘the images in his head’.

Upon arriving home on that quiet, eerie night, Dib was relieved to find that no insane Irken had followed him. He was alone now, and he had the feeling he would have a peaceful night in contrast to the others he had experienced.
As Dib had made his way into the house and up to his room, the lingering smell of day old blood hit him. It wasn’t quite as harsh and foul as the pile of junk found in Zim’s closet. However, it was enough to make the boy groan in both agony and nausea, but the smell didn’t seem to stop him from hobbling to his bed and allowing himself to collapse upon it.
At least he was safe for now, and tonight would be one of the only nights open for him to sleep without much worry. Zim was still too weak to come for him, and the computer was keeping him indoors for tonight.

The sight of that haunting grin seemed to paralyze the boy as he slowly let himself down to the floor, wrapping himself in a fetal position as he rocked himself very stiffly as if to comfort himself. Violent shivers also shook him as the cackle rung in his ears as they only intensified the dread he was already feeling.
Zim slowly began to drag himself over to him, seeing him as wounded prey now. His limbs still had trouble taking turns, looking even more like a creature in dire need of an exorcism.

After glancing back at Zim another time, seeing that he was getting closer to him quicker than he thought, he turned and faced the fence and backed up a few steps. He drew a shaky breath before running at it and making a leap as he got close to the fence, grunting as he hit it and started his desperate climb.
A screech of obvious rage exploded from the hobbling being that was trailing far behind his escaping form. “IB!!!!” The name practically pierced through the air as wild eyes, even through those contacts, locked onto him frighteningly and his arms outstretched in a dire want to rip the other from the rusty chained fence.

As Dib stood outside of his home, he couldn't help the overwhelming loneliness that washed over him. After the neighbours reaction, he highly doubted anyone would take him seriously. Not like they had taken him seriously before anyway.
On top of the extreme aloneness, the boy was feeling a massive amount of paranoia. His house had proven to be just as dangerous a place to be now, and after seeing how easily and quickly Zim could infiltrate it, he realized he would never feel at peace inside of it. He would always be looking around himself, checking to make sure he was truly alone.
Dib took only small, slow steps towards the house now, his eyes flicking everywhere as he scanned for any threats. Hopefully Gaz had a key to the house so she wouldn't bother him with her obnoxious banging as she did quite often.
After locking the door, Dib turned his back to it and leaned against it, closing his eyes and taking deep breaths in an attempt to calm himself after all of the stress he had endured that day. Unfortunately, he could only think of Zim as he stood there, images of that haunting grin flashing in his memory.

I'm dating this because I want to be able to look back on it in the future to see if anything has changed for better or for worse. I know there are a lot of you who don't know what's going on with me, or don't quite understand it, but that's why I'm writing this. Sometimes you'll ask yourself, "why did Reitanna say this?" or "why does Reitanna feel so down?" "What happened to Reitanna?" Well, I'm about to tell you in length what is going on. People who read this who have the same thing will understand completely. People with nothing like it will be confused and sort of scared. It's a natural feeling. But after everything, I'm not ashamed to admit that I have Manic Depressive Disorder.
Manic Depression and Bipolar Disorder are the same thing. However, I like to refer to it as Manic Depressive Disorder because a lot of times, people (including me) will use the word "bipolar" as a joke, like when I say, "the weather in Southern California is almost as bipolar as I am." Wh

His antennae falling back to press against his head, Dib narrowed his eyes on Zim even more. "That's not funny, Zim!" he exclaimed, slamming his hands down on the kitchen table.
Zim shrank down into his chair as far as he could. "Haha." he laughed uneasily then swallowed. "R-Right. Not funny." he said more to himself than to Dib.
Hearing the other still laughing, Dib, without thinking, threw his plate of food at Zim. The Irken ducked out of the way just in time to avoid the plate as it crashed against the side of the wall and broke into pieces.
Breathing heavily, Dib seemed to snap out of his sudden rage when he heard the sound of the glass breaking, causing him to blink wide eyes open, his antennae perking. "H-Huh?" he looked around confused, first at Zim, who was hiding behind his chair, then at the broken pieces of glass laying strewn among a pile of food on t

"Wh-What happened?" Dib asked, blinking his eyes just barely open to look around before closing them again and sighing when Zim began running his fingers along the length of his antennae. "Mmm..." he sounded out in a content hum.
"You passed out..." Zim pet his antennas gently, trying to get him to feel as good as he could without going too far. "I-I'm sorry, Dib...I don't know how I can fix this..." his voice shook.
A small purr escaping him, Dib merely pushed more into the feeling. "Mmmmm....You promised to stay with me no matter what... Just don't leave me for even a second and maybe things will turn out alright..." he slurred a bit, his mind swimming as he became lost to Zim's ministrations.
Keeping up his rubbing, Zim smiled. "I won't leave you, Dib... I promise... This time I mean it more than ever." he said in a soft voice to the other.
"Good..." Dib nuzzled in

After giving the other's proposal some thought, Dib finally frowned and shook his head. "No! You're lying to me!" he said though Zim wouldn't give up.
"Oooh, come on! How will you know if I am or not unless you let me go and see?!"
"I just know! You always lie to me!"
"Cooome ooooooooon! Aren't you at least a LITTLE curious?"
Dib let go of Zim. "Fine! You can go! I already know you're not going to give me anything no matter how interesting you try to make it sound to me!" he sent Zim a truly hurt look before turning and shuffling away.
"HEY! Zim didn't lie!" Zim grabbed Dib and jerked him back around to plant a big kiss right on his lips.
Eyes growing wide at the small gesture, Dib could only blink a few tears out of his eyes before pulling away with blush, taking a few steps back as he brought his hands up to play with his fingers shyly, gaze fixed on the ground beneath him."Wh-Why did you kiss me? Y-You could have just left without giving me anything." his voice was surprisingly calm

Dib couldn't help but let his antennas droop again. "They say things like that about me all the time, don't they? And you can hear it all." he sank down in his seat a bit, resting a cheek in his arms before closing his eyes, not feeling much like getting up now.
"Ohh, Dib..." Zim leaned down and wrapped his arms around the hybrid. "Don't listen to a word they say. I never did. Just be the good old Dib I love and everything will be fine." he assured the other, nuzzling him before glaring out the door in the direction the other students had left. "They have no idea how much you've done for them..." he then said in a quiet whisper to him.
Freezing at the sound of their teacher's voice, Zim turned around to glance back at Miss Bitters.

Unable to bring his eyes up to meet Zim's gaze, Dib could only speak in a voice just barely above that of a whisper. "...But I already did...I wasn't mad at you about what happened down there...I was mad at myself...because of my reaction..." he brought his hands up to wipe at his eyes again.
"Ohh, Dib...Is that all?"
Letting out a small whimper, Dib broke down again. "I wasn't afraid you'd go too far. I was afraid I'd go too far! So I pulled away before that could happen because I didn't want to hurt you!" he exclaimed, unsure whether he would have been able to go all the way through with it had he started.
"Wh-What? Dib, you're not going to hurt me..."
"But I've already hurt so many other people in my life! I've hurt Gaz, I've hurt my dad, hell, I've even hurt one of your leaders! But above all else, I've hurt you more than once already! Every time I react the wrong way,

Seeing Zim perk back up somewhat at his words, Jack smiled. "I think that no matter what happens, things will work out for the better. Don't even think about what might or might not happen. You two were happy before you decided to do this, so stop putting so much emphasis on this as though it will be the deciding factor in whether you two stay together or not. I already told you that marriage is just something people do to re-affirm their love for each other. It doesn't mean that two people can't be happy together without one. I know you'll love Dib no matter what, so just go in there and let him know that. You don't need a marriage to tell him that." he said, placing a hand reassuringly on Zim's shoulder.
Zim smiled a little. "Okay then...Should I wake him up?" he asked.
"Only if you think it can't wait until later to tell him..." Jack smiled back at Zim reassuringly.
Zim grinned wide. "It'
