The very thought of home,
allows me that smile
which I once took for granted.
I long for that open door,
the welcoming gap
into warm familiarity.
Away from this,
All my misery.

of what I was once fond
I wish now to forget.
As unforgiving were the events
transpired amid regression.
Up build my walls once again,
for my invited guest,

Back to into the rabbit hole.
Descending I go into the demented realm...
spiraling back downward into my Hell
where my home burns.

to where the die was cast.
Arise, reluctant to bare witness
to what unfolds.
Back where I believed,
like some arrogant fool,
that the good of the outcome,
outweighed the erroneous methods.
My delusions have turned so vivid
that they become commonplace
with my reality,
running hand in hand
towards my downfall
as a friendly face in the crowd...
The FallenThe sun was setting over the far reaches of the realm most mortals thought of as Heaven, though if not for the overwhelming number of white-haired, white-winged, white-clothed angels one would think it were actually Earth. The architecture, however, was clearly not that of modern Earth; every building was built of white marble, with veins of various other precious materials making every wall glimmer. The Fallen in Short Stories More Like This
The onyx streets were nearly empty by that dusk hour. Just within the gates of the realm sat an angel obviously different from the others. His long, flowing hair was black, not white, and the large wings sprawled about him were of that same, cru
The DreamNaois walked the littered streets of the polluted mortal city. His elegant wings had been pulled into his back, a power that all angels possessed so that they might walk Earth inconspicuously. A box of cheap mortal dye colored his hair a chocolate brown, at least until it rained. Angel hair wouldn't hold the dye as a mortal's would. Gone were his white robes, replaced by a leather jacket and jeans that still felt awkward. His normally bare feet were covered by fraying sneakers. The Dream in Short Stories More Like This
A woman with dark hair walked slowly before him, and he began to pass her without a thought. When she grasped his arm he stopped to find out what she wanted. Her dark

It is already five in the afternoon, but the sun is still high up. Drops of sweat started to pour down my forehead as I walk this grassy uneven path to home. To my left are some of the ruined buildings of District 10. To my right is the wide corral where they keep our districts main industry: Livestock.
Usually this corral is filled with hundreds of cows, not for today though. Just last week, dozens of cows started to die from some sort of disease that make them go crazy. Because of it, the ranchers are forced to transfer them to another for days. I was thankful that time because Im assigned at the butchery pl
My Best Friend, My Love: A PoemMy Best Friend, My Love: A Poem in Free Verse More Like This
Who better to have my heart
than the one who knows me best?
We both have had romances and flings
but you are better than all the rest.
This love was the forbidden fruit
but we bit into it like Adam & Eve.
But now we're like Eros & Psyche.
From us, Eden has been conceived.
Funny how when we were kids,
we avoided each other's kiss.
Now every touch from your lips
gives me moments of sweet bliss.
We've shared our minds and souls before
now we include the form.
Our trinities complete, together entwined
the burning fire within keeps us warm
I know we will have downs and spats.
We may split and have many falls.
But like magnets, we

Trace your fingers,
long and slender, like a widow's legs,
Along my spine
Tangled like a web weaved in a rage;
I am twisted into you
Bare your fangs,
To penetrate my paralyzed flesh:
Cells burn and mutate,
Blood rushes, crawls;
Like magma dismantling the very structures of life
I am dead,
and I am yours

I'm sending an angel, with rust on his wings
But do not assume he is good
He's silly, a laugher
A heartless back-stabber
And he does not behave as he should, my dear
He does not behave as he should
I'm sending an angel, with blood in his soul
But do not assume it is red
It's black from the taking
Of hearts he is breaking
And his eyes are so terribly dead, my love
His eyes are so terribly dead
I'm sending an angel, as wild as Night
But do not deny him his play
He's sinning no longer
A raw, bitter hunger
For he cannot remember the day, my love
He cannot remember the day
I'm sending an angel, with salt in his w

"It's not much of a tale, but I'm sort of attached to it." Eeyore (Winnie the Pooh)
A soft breeze blew open the covers of a well-worn book, the yellowing pages within fluttering open with the breath of air. A figure stepped closer to the glossy table where the book was placed, attracted by the rustling of paper as soft light filtering from the high French windows, their white curtains fluttered about in the breeze. The figure reached out with a gentle hand to calm the unruly pages and his mouth curved into a smile at the familiar title. "Peau d'ours."
His hands lovingly traced the fading title of the book as he sat down on the cream-

Sensitivity’s roots catch me by the neck
Crawling till it reaches my head
Drowning me in the sea of negativity
Making me breathless
As it binds me in chains as I swim free
As if forever I was bound
Never breathing like a living corpse
Trying to do life’s ways
The key to my living soul is out of reach
It appears as sudden as it disappears
It’s called the key of free will
Sometimes it’s in the hands of the self-indulging fool
Who keeps a barricaded wall-like cage
to protect himself
To keep me from reaching it…
From time to time I break free from this
