Recently I have had the opportunity to start working on some very interesting projects, one which you will see something from in the next week or so but for now this is the first of many concept illustrations for a project called Fortress Earth.

I can't go into huge details but it's objective is to become a kind of audio graphic novel and tells the story of 2 powerful alien races who are at war and what happens when their war descends on to our little planet, one of the races are trying to protect us the other is trying to drop black hole bombs on us.

This image shows the alien armadas arriving in Earth's atmosphere and 2 pilots (one is the protagonist) on a training exercise find themselves smack bang in the middle of this huge battle with alien capital ships and fighters everywhere, they barely escape with their lives as one of the huge ships explodes overhead.

A giant glowing orb hovers silently at the core of an alien Dyson sphere, at each of it's poles an array of massive spires seemingly hold the orb in place. What is the orb for and why was an artificial planet built around it? Or was it created there.
The artificial planet holds many mysteries, I wonder where that sun light is coming from, lets go find out.

Inspired by Halo 4 and my own series Telikos Protocol, I have always loved monolithic structures that seemingly go on forever and their simple geometric shape only adds to their scale. I will be doing some more paintings based on this "planet" one being how that sun is generated. Should be interesting.

Enjoy :ahoy:

Here is a treat, this is the E.D.G.E Primary Command Centre located in the mega city CORE. It's where E.D.G.E keeps track of all it's assets on Earth and in orbit.
This is part of a single page spread right out of the first issue of Telikos Protocol.

This one took me the better part of a day :ahoy:

We still need your support on this project to make it a reality in print form, head over the the Kickstarter and support us and bag yourself some cool rewards, or spread the word!!! [link]

This is a matte painting from a traditional beach sight with a cool sun down I shot last summer and an obvious central focal point with quite symmetrical lines, which I really liked to turn it into something sci-fi but keeping the actual boats to make them comtemporary compared to the futuristic buildings. No spaceship this time, I really focused on the buildings.

It is quite Dylan cole inspired even if I dont have his talent but I learnt a lot from him and his 2D techniques for matte. Very few 3D here, just the arches for basic shapes. All the rest is painting.

Original plate is my own stock and textures as well or bought on Asile FX which I recommand a lot: [link]

Hope you like it. Have a look at the Walkthrough of this piece here:
Thanks for faving and comments always welcomed.
Cheers!

Here is the image I made for a tutorial on the brand new Advanced Photoshop. Almost 6 pages where you would be able to reproduce this artworks with stocks of mine, textures, 3D elements and many more.

This was such a good experience as it was really like a commissionned work with many things to follow as per the mag recommandations.
Here is the final cover. Hope you'll like it and enjoy the tutorial with some of my tricks and tips.

Thanks a bunch for all your support and thanks to my newly watchers!!

I had the extreme privilege to visit a refinery a couple of months ago and with the exceptional authorisation of the Refinery of Grandpuits in France I had this plate, and couldn't resist turning it into a sci-fi matte painting.

I assure you, the visit was just awesome, I know I know a refinery is not the glamourous place ever but it is just another world. You feel like being in a gloomy scene from Blade Runner movie, with steam, pipes everywhere, noise, and oil smells. I went around 35m up the ground just exactly where the two aliens are. Kind of creepy he he...!

Hope you will like it, this is mostly 2D for I pushed further my painting skills. Basically only the main spaceships have been modelled in Zbrush but postworked quite a lot.

Cheers for your favs and comments!
Textures and stocks are mine.

All painted in Photoshop. Made it up as I went along. This image is a personal project, so doesn't belong to anyone else, i.e. a client. If you wish to use it, please contact me first.
It's a camera view of a Police depot, set in 2071. A defensive shield keeps hooligans in or out as needed.

All painted in Photoshop from scratch. This image is not available for use by anyone else.
I did this illustration over about 5 days for an upcoming game.

The cost for a picture like this to be created from scratch would be £400 to £500 ($640 to $800)

A digital painting which took about 3 days to complete. I used a 3D grey-scale render as a guide for the main shapes. All done in Photoshop CS5.

I am currently doing a lot of work for Mek Tek as I am part of the team. The game we are working on is Heavy Gear Assault. This work is great fun and is pushing my skills to the limits. This image is not available for use by anyone else.
This image will shortly be available in all wallpaper sizes.

Very rushed, my work could (should!) be much better ._.
Time to punch mediocrity in the face.

Hey Everyone, it's been a while since I posted anything but I'd like to thank you for the barrage of messages you've been sending me hah. I've just started a new job as an in house concept artist so i've been swamped with all sorts of stuff so it's good to paint something for myself. Trying to move into more complex architectural shapes, fun fun fun!
For those watching the streams - I plan on getting back to them very soon.
