to me. Even now, I think I could
lie here forever, head resting
on the cool stone. This is where I met
my imaginary friends
who took me on adventures that
continued past the setting sun,
until the rising moon. But now
I am grown up, their voices unfamiliar
to my ear. Still I am attached to
the woods behind the house, and the
faint sound of their singing
through the forest of my childhood.
With all the friends I have now, I no
longer need their warm company. I can

Let not your heart be troubled

With what great powers,
could Earth bloom radiant flowers…
if not with April Showers?
