Another one!!!! I can't believe how much fun I'm having!! I forgot how much I love to animate-- and doing it in a computer program instead of with paper doesn't change it at all!

Behold: My best friend calls this dance move "The Tragedy!!" Very dramatic.

This one was harder than the others. I had a feeling it would be.

Still fun though!! Jupiter, Neptune and Saturn coming soon!

A lot simpler than the other dances I've done. I tried to dress it up a bit with some overlapping action, but the nature of this particular "dance move" dictates that you restrict it.

What is Platcore?! Well Platcore is a platformer/avoid style of gameplay, you play as a Platbot which is a testing robot for Platcore, and Platcore will be using you to test out their newest products, which come in the form of things which aren't exactly your friend (Lasers, turrets, even bigger lasers, and evil things!). You play in a test chamber and your sole aim is to stay alive and survive the testing procedures, remember though, your robot is dispensable so there are MANY robots to play as if yours gets destroyed.

The games soundtrack is synced up to the Platcore AI, so when the soundtrack goes boom, something else is going boom, and it's likely to hit you in the face.



I am aware of the flaws of the game. but we've reserved all ideas and improvement for the sequel in the future.

part of the issue was that we had over-developed, took too long and were not aware of each other's plans and implementations. so in the end alot of ideas and concepts were cut out or removed due to incompatibility to the engine's code or what was done on it.

all of this will hopefully be address in the possible sequel to platcore in the future.

my personal opinion? I'm not satisfied on how it turned out, but we spend a long time developing it, so have to move on and continue working on our new projects.

This thing is some 200 + layers of HELL, and if my computer could hate me right now I think it would, I will NEVER use a 5000 x 5450 pixel photoshop file as my working source file for animating ... hehe.

It has taken upards of two months to find the time and learn a few new things to complete this and I'M SO FREAKING GLAD IT's DONE!!.

There is a train, traction engine, clock, phone and someone gargeling water in there as well as the sea gulls.

The Audio track is "051 - Ch6_Boss_02" From an unofficial Alice : MR soundtrack and is copyright EA/Apicy Horse

Everything was cut up and edited in Photoshop and Animated in After Effects, then pieced together and Published in Flash.

Audio aditing done in Audacity.

Tiny update I re-compilled the animation and screensavers and moved their hosting to Sta.sh.

I merely animated it.

I used Photoshop/After Effects and Flash for the Animation and Audacity for audio tweaking.


Finally finished :P was chosen by poll a few months back what my next piece should be and then got delayed to HELL by the Snail.

Taken me the best part of 24 hours of the last two weeks to complete.

Discovered the uses of a few more tools and effects in making this piece :D.

Man, noticed in those stupid movie based videogames, the cutscenes are usually more confusing then clear?

Adam Phillips, the creator of Bitey of Brakenwood went in for heart surgery a few days ago.

Someone over at the BiteyCastle effects academy (which is taught by Adam) suggested that we take the stuff that we've learned so far and somehow incorporate a heart for Adam. This is what I came up with.

A very chaotic first pass from my film. My animation doesn't get any rougher than this, so I thought some people might be interested in seeing it.
Since I'm doing clean up for myself, I tend to finish a lot of things like in-betweens or the endings of special effects animation then. So basically this is the opposite of finished, and probably confusing.

I'm behind, by the way. This won't be done in time for the semester's end.

Lightning Animation C: I did it with Flash for BCA FX course. And I must say that this course is amazing! :) Adam Phillips is a very talented animator and he really knows how to explain things simple and easy to understand. Just a quick animation test using the new "Remesh" modifier in Blender.

Turns stuff into blocks, sharps, or smooths.. Kind of an interesting modifier lol.

Testing the animated textures on my Cyber Miku.

Yes the animation is very simple, I just needed something so she wasn't a billboard..

The animated texture slowed down/stopped during the last few frames, gonna need to adjust some curves.

I really liked that render and wanted to try and make a little animation out of it.

It didn't come out quite like I was hoping, but well enough.
