Sprinting Towards DemiseSprinting Towards Demise in Free Verse More Like This
By burning waters, and smoldering bridges,
I await the genesis of our animosity.
Make the move that gives me permission to strike,
make the move that will bring about your end.
Near draws the line that which I advise you to never cross.
Though to my eyes comes the image of your sprinting legs.
It would seem, that through your veins flows pure pestilence,
and that you wish to bring upon me, nuisances by any cost.
Good God, such a fool bound for my throat,
knowing not the patient blade that waits.
Honor averts it's eyes, as your charge draws to an end.
It wishes this good and done, just as I.
A swift jerk of my arm to your direction,
and make you, a last descent to the ground below.
Then burden leaves my shoulders,
as life outward, pours from your filthy heart.
Deserving of NothingDeserving of Nothing in Free Verse More Like This
My endless imperfections
shout to the very core of my soul,
Beating away at my humility,
To bare reminder
that I do not deserve you
in the slightest...
Grace is your very essence,
as you embody that which is perfection.
Whereas my rush
to find the flaws of my name,
You tell it tales true,
of the feelings you hold.
Abnormal is my persona,
and infinite apologies are due,
Many thanks, just as much,
are in order...
To God, to you....
Beauty be what has enraptured my heart
for the eternal hour at hand,
You and only you are the whom
that I most desire,But never deserve.
Sudden SadnessSudden Sadness in Emotional More Like This
She looked away from the large window in her room and sighed as another unprovoked and intense sadness racked over his small frame. She shivered, and clenched her eyes tightly shut in an attempt to fight the tears that would soon flow and not stop no matter what she did.
She had no idea why she cried like this. She knew there were things in her life that were sad, but, honestly, she didn't know why she was so overcome.
There were those in this world with lives far worst then her own, why should she cry over something as simple as a man, and a death that had been forgotten by everyone else.
Five months, and she was still crying.
The maddening sadness soon passed and she began to inhale through her nose and exhale through her mouth. It helped, sometimes, but sometimes it made it worse.
"Hey," Her brother said as he poked his head into the room without a single knock, not that it mattered, she couldn't lock her door anyways, "Dinner is done . . . hey, you okay?" He as

Scary Monster and Nice Spirite
We all at some time feel it … this feeling, this sensation, this adrenaline. When we are in danger it is when more it appears and is what it gives us the force to go out of difficulty, all … WE ALL in this world have it, some of them do not develop it, others if, others simply see it as a curse … as I pass to my 3 years ago …

From the gloom of his alcove, six of eight heard an unspoken command. Aroused from his slumber, he wordlessly departed, and headed to fix a broken plasma injector, one of 11,000 drones on cube 1027; travelling towards Earth at a speed barely imaginable, Traversing the corridors, he took no notice of how alone he was; there was a world of voices inside his head. After an hour or two, he reached the correct injector, and with a tubule, he injected the entire machine with fresh Nano-probes.
Before he was assimilated, a year previously, he was called John Cooper, an engineer aboard the Geordie, an old excelsior class vessel that strayed a bit too far towards the delta quadrant, and paid dearly for it. Before any of the crew knew it, they found themselves linked to the collective, all personality purged. He had been a tall, dark haired Human, just twenty years of age; such life ahead of him. In one short year, he had

High above the rural side of the planet Caprica, the Hercules-class Battlestar Sleipnir cruised through space.
"Sitrep!" the Commander called out to his XO as he entered the bridge. It was a hive of activity. Ensignes constantly moved texts from station to station in a carefully coordinated pattern that seemed to the untrained eye like clear chaos. The Sleipnir's bridge more closely resembled the original Battlestars and lacked the full automation of the newest Mercury-class. Externally it packed a punch far greater than its older brothers but only almost as potent as its newer siblings. Rushed into production at a time following the first Cylon War when invasion was considered a real possibility, the Sleipnir's design had been meant to be a remedy for the fears of old.
"Sir!" the XO responded. "Reports are coming in from all over the fleet. Reports of strange new ships appearing throughout the Colonies. The Admiralty is preparing to issue a statement. Sources close t

The following few weeks sucked. I mean really sucked. We arranged interviews with as many of Carter's ex-girlfriends as we could sniff out. Melissa Burnham was happy to help out with names but it was obvious she was disappointed that no progress had been made since I'd last seen her. That didn't help me feel any better.
We didn't learn anything from the exes. We recorded all of the interviews and passed the videos onto L, but he concluded the same. We still scheduled periodic meetings after each new interview. The uncomfortable atmosphere in my office never got any easier. Every meeting would end up in awkward silence, at which point L would then leave and the rest of us would breathe a sigh of relief.
The police officers involved and I were all in unsaid agreement that L was truly unusual. Nobody had said anything outright insulting about him though I'd certainly dropped a few bold comments but there were always a lot of knowing glances exchanged when L was aroun

Firefly: "See You, Space Cowboy"
Disclaimer: If I weren't just a poor college student and could finance the series myself, I would, but I can't. So all I can do is just play around in Joss Whedon's 'verse. Also, I don't know a lick of Chinese so I haven't bothered to put the translations because they're probably horribly wrong. If it were Japanese or Latin, well, that'd be another story...
Episode nine of my second season of Firefly: While the crew take a sightseeing trip to the edge of the galaxy, they encounter none other than Saffron--who's on the run with a substantial bounty on her head. Alone in no man's land, Mal must decide how to handle his unwanted wife and the bounty hunters coming to collect.

I stepped inside the flame!
Hoping to be forgiven for what I became!
Have I no shame?
Have I no guilt?
There's no such thing as blame
For all of the wrongs I've been dealt
Point the finger
Only at the world
Watch you band together
And witness you antagonize another
Wrapped inside of society's shadows
And little did they know
They were only born to be scapegoats
That's the harsh way to say it
It's only because the truth is filled with hatred
Bystanders just turn a blind eye
As they feed their relief with made up lies
That's all they know how to do
They're too afraid of being dragged down with you
They know what's right
But it's clouded by discriminative eyes
We're only given the gift of a last glance
A half a second of pity slips through our hands
It's all we will get
A taste of

"The December wind wrapped itself around the two as they briskly made their way down the crowded sidewalk. They didn't mind the cold all too much for their sheer excitement kept them warm. A mother and a son had traversed into the Inner Sanctum of the Main City to prepare for the festivities. It was the 20th, and on the 21st a world-wide celebration would ring out in glory of their leader's name and birthday. It wasn't just a celebration for him, as on the 21st everyone shared in on the gift giving and good will spreading amongst their friends and loved ones. The mother and son, however, had missed out on their shopping and were forced to rush and see what they could get the night before.
"Every corner they turned and every step they took left them visually bombarded with fantastic, glowing displays of old time toys and new wave technology. Add
