Today's office bento =D

* mini tuna cheese sandwich orange bento *

- tuna cheese mini sandwiches (in pan-toasted white bread)

- fresh Asian parsley
- zucchini (small stars and leaf-like shape)

Since I have Veteran's day off tomorrow I wouldn't get to make a bento meal so I decided to compromise and turn the bento snack that I usually make today and make it into more of a bento meal. I've put a few things in that I haven't tried before and some old favorites that I haven't had in a while. This bento contains:

Top Layer:
2 Onigiri: Shisho (left) and Ebi (right) Furikake
Leeche Jelly with Little Spoon
Bunny Container with Ketchup
Bottle with Wasabi Shoyu

Bottom Layer:
Apple Bunny
3 Fried Shrimp
Pice of Nama Chikuwa (fish cake) Cut in Half and Stuffed With Cucumber Strips
Blueberries Sprinkled with Sugar
Green Tea Mochi

I realized it's been a while since I updated with a normal bento. So here is today's lunch.

Top Layer:
Dragon Roll Sushi (Mother bought for me from our local grocery store)

Bottom Layer:
Cherry Soy Sauce Bottle (one of the new ones I got)
Cheese on A Toothpick
Cherry Tomato
Carrots
Clementine Slices
Containers (Gari and Wasabi)

Please enjoy. I don't think they'll look too good since they had to be squished down, but I'm sure they'll taste just fine >w<

Recieved a new bento box!

Top Tier
Potatoe salad (containing potato, sweet corn, carots, parsley, vinegar, salt, sugar, and mayo.) Chicken Karaage with small bottle of ketchup

Bottom Tier
Salmon Furikake Onigiri, Black sesame furikake wasabi tuna onigiri, 2 japanese soda flavored candies and Lady Pink Apple Bunny.

Fried Chicken Drummlet and wing, cucumber slices, carrot sticks, carrot shavings for decoration, lettace leaf, and tiny bit of ham

(bottom Tray)
Sweet Corn, pieces of fried cheese sticks, candy covered almonds, colored mints, and candy pumpkin. Small container of ketchup.

mini croque monsieur ^^
I put two mini forks in there as well, normally I should use these forks for appetizers, but I like to use them in my bento as well, adds some colour to it :)

What you see here is slightly smoked and fried salmon on a bed of fresh field salad, accompanied by cherry tomatoes, steamed carrots and fried tofu.
And what I also see, is that my pear looks suspiciously white in this picture. :D

My first Bento^^


It's Thursday so we have sort've run out of food.

Front:
-Sliced cucumber and cheese sakura
-Chopped raw carrots (I don't like them cooked)
-BBQ Sausage (These were stuffed by my Dad, and they were the dud end ones so I just chopped them up^^;)

Back:
-Long grain rice with nori

Whew, it's been a while, eh? Work/House/Life just refuses to leave me alone so I can cook lately :(

TOP: rice, grilled burger, fried mochi with red bean, Panama golden frog (THANKS GOOGLE!) made of carved sweet potato and nori and brushed with a little water right before the picture for that lovely amphibian glow :D

BOTTOM: pink flowers (pickled cucumber and radish), yellow flowers (kiwi/peach slices)


The sweet potato was left over from my Deadliest Catch bento that I still need to upload (did I mention I'm reeeally busy these days?)

Here's hoping I'll get to cook more soon!

I've been trying for the last few days to work on bento and since we're going to be remodeling our house all weekend I knew it was now or never :P

I'd been kicking around this idea for a whiiiiiile, it was originally supposed to go in my Peacock Bento Box but then I realized I would need a long rectangle space ;_;


LEFT: peacock (body is blue eggsheet, pear, radish, nori details; tail is spinach leaves, pear/eggsheet details), rice.

RIGHT: teriyaki chicken, kiwi, plum, cherry "blossoms".




I used :iconfalln-stock:s pretty peacock stock photo as a reference.

We had a big bag of slivered almonds left over from a work event and my boss sent them home with me. The color reminded me of hedgehog quills so I thought I'd make one :D

Top: Hedgehog (puto, slivered almonds, nori), sushi (crab/avocado).

Bottom: Grapefruit slices, snap peas, italian mixed salad.

The hedgehog base was made from a handmade sweetcake mold. Will (hopefully) be posting a tutorial on it soon, since it's very easy and fun!

Also included some small pictures of how the box fits together, since I do stack it in an odd manner for pictures.

It's a Soul Eater themed bento! Ironically, no souls in it. XD Made for :iconmaioceaneyes: for lunch one day because I was bored. No joke.

A shared lunch for my sister and her friend. Her friend is vegetarian, so this lunch is meat free. It also has more of a Mediterranean flavor than traditional Japanese.
