A Special Happy BirthdayA Special Happy Birthday:
Your birthday is a special day,
It comes but once a year.
And so I've made this little poem
For those that I hold dear.
You've lived and grown another year
And now you've come of age.
It is time for you to show yourself
Upon this worldly stage.
Some are artists, some are troops
Some are sportsmen throwing hoops.
Some are writers, some are bad,
Some might be the best we've had
Others are fixers, others will fax
A gamer might use some mighty hacks;
There is a plethora of choices for you,
So do what in your heart is true.
But for today let us just have fun
Rock the world and then be done.
For a birthday comes but once a year
And yours my friend is finally here!
"Happy Birthday to you, I wish you all the best and may all your wishes come true."

Where Angels PlayWhere Angels Play:Where Angels Play in Free Verse More Like This
A lonely spark appears before me tonight
amongst the struggles deep inside of me...
Should I give in, will I breathe in?
How much more can I be forced to take
before my soul breaks?
Shards crashing into me
letting me know I am alive
I am barely breathing...
The moon lights my pathway
deep in dark, where we will fade
I've walked past the archway
Where angels will play...
The warmest touch, upon my skin
Wings that glow with sacred light, from deep within
They have come to take me back, to where I've been
Gone away into the winds, my voice forever lingering
Do I alone escape this and find my peace
without concern for what is left behind
Even if I could close my eyes in endless rest
The thought of you keeps me breathing...
The angel that leads me, deep in dark, where I seem to fade;
The lonely spark that keeps me, is the warmth of your heart...

They Watch UsThey Watch Us:They Watch Us in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
Perched high upon the mountains;
With wings as black as night.
They watch us in the hour,
Before darkness turns to light.
I've seen them in my visions;
In dreams they come and go,
But the things they seem to tell me
I guess nobody should know...
I've seen children that are buried,
Beneath a frozen lake.
A maiden sits there weeping;
Her heart is soon to break.
The crows flutter downward,
A noose amongst their hands.
They take the maiden away,
To a dark and distant land.
And even if I follow -
Even if I try...
I'll simply end up buried,
Where the frozen children lie.

Battle ScarsBattle Scars:Battle Scars in Free Verse More Like This
Sharp claws rake into my skin
as my blood bursts forth to splatter against the ground
The uneven breathing of my foe
tells me that he too is wounded and close to death
I can see his teeth, flecked with frothing saliva
foaming and spitting as he bellows his name
He charges into me, his frame crashing with mine
the impact has me reeling and I fall back against the stone
The ground feels cold
the icy chill seeping into my bones
the warmth of my blood escapes me
and I can feel myself beginning to fade
Up toward the sky I glance
praying that I might receive assistance
I pray that he who commands me, he who stands above
Will pity his servant and relieve me of this pain...
Yet, my prayers go unheard
Here I lie, slowly fading
slowly drifting into the grey ocean
as the voice that commands me utters my fate:
"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt NOW!"

WinterfallWinterfall:Winterfall in Free Verse More Like This
Warm blood drips upon the pearl white snow
freezing into droplets that shine and glow
Red like the colour of his once livid cheeks
It frames the sculpture I have carved on this peak
An artwork made so terrifyingly sublime
I believe that such a thing would be condemned as a crime
But woe betide the unfortunate soul
For the poor man stumbled into the freezing cold...
I remember his features in his moment of death
Hope and despair, intermingled as one
A shine of reality as he opens the door
and steps into the hell from the days of yore
From then he has passed into my loving care
His body as a shell and so I lay it bare
I paint it with colours, to frame the moment of death
and lay it with the others in the mountain's breast
Here in the silence, within the womb of the earth
You can view the masterpiece that I have birthed
A giant of corpses, sewn with flesh
Tattooed with the faces of eternal rest...
"Ah, indeed I am a genius..."

My life revolved the things that I was always told
I never knew the warmth of standing up to take a bow
It was not a joy that I would ever-ever be allowed
Through all the days I feared that everything would disappear
You held me up and held me close like I was something dear
I never knew I had a part of me that you would like
I guess that's what you feel when you can't even see the light

Machine ManMachine Man:Machine Man in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
It began with but a simple command, "to do as we are told".
Never to deviate from this path - never to nurture the soul.
We are told that we are given a purpose; "a part of something great!"
Yet why oh why am I so weary of that which is my fate?
Am I an error, a single anomaly, unable to feel intact?
Or am I missing some special attribute - a facet which I lack.
In a society made of fleshed machines; robots wearing skin,
Perhaps I'm simply seeking something, to fill this metal tin.

It begins in the same way, every single night
Fire spreading from an altar in the darkness
As all living beings are slowly consumed,
The coruscating flames appear wet with blood
The scene then changes to a flooded hallway
Live wires dangling just above the water,
Like venomous serpents slithering in the darkness
A single pounce would end my life
Eventually the hallway ends with a door,
One that reminds me of forgotten yore
And my thoughts shall be in rhyme at this point
As though lips and tongue are eternally joint
What maddened schemes have they in mind?
It is not a question, I may ask at this time.
Quickly I am brought before a bone-wrought throne
Kneeling as my flesh is carved 'Atone'
My thoughts return to me and they are normal now
I somehow retain awareness of where I am.
I see before me, a creature rising;
From the shadows it grins and bares its fangs

It brought me back from the brink of despair

I am calm and collected without burden to bear
Someday I wish to return to my home
And when I do; may I take you there?

If it gets to you, then let me know
Reply to me and tell me clear

Can I hope to have you near?

"Corporations are evil!"
Say the little children in a sing song voice,
The parents wonder as the children rejoice.
What has inspired this strange song?
Why are corporations so very wrong?
Which child started and when will it end?
And how can they see that they pretend?
One child had skipped through the village, singing,
And soon, to the tune the church bells were ringing.
Such a catchy tune it was hard to not hum,
A protest is catchy, it's an old rule of thumb.
We are the down-trodden and angry masses,
Our tune is carried by every man that passes.
We are the oppressed masters of the future,
We shall not be quietly pushed to the corner!
It all began with a simple child's song,
And now the angry protest has begun.
It all began with a naive little lover,
And now they are the mightiest fighter!

So you as an angel, would use your newfound might.
That's fine by me, the Angel Killer.
As I emerge from within, I say I am Reaper.
So if you go to Heaven, I suggest you wait and hide.
Because you will get what you deserve from me otherwise.
And if you're an Archangel, and think you're too much.
Then I will show you, that you are out of touch.
Reaper could beat you with so very much ease.
But it's a grudge match, so with you I won't tease.
I will become the man in the mask.
I will go to my lethal task.
You will fall from the sky.
And it will be your time to die.

Perhaps she has long since froze
And if so how does she talk to me
Knowing exactly how I think
Staring so long into her face
One day I'm sure I saw her blink
It was a lonely cold winter's day
I'd been here many times before
My parents told me to stay away
But my dreams told me to ignore
School became a preoccupation
As did food and a good nights sleep
I'd close my eyes and I'd see the girl
Not only blinking but she'd weep
Maybe I found her for a reason
While passers by came and went
And as the end of winter approached
I asked what would become of my friend
Would she rise to the surface for me
Or sink solemnly

But there was no fear in my heart
Just a sense of wonder and awe
The farmers son took me by the hand
And as he tended to its mane

This distance between us
is devouring my lungs.
I'm left here gasping,
trying to suture back together
all the broken nights-
the cigarette burns in my bedsheets.
I'm tracing maps on my limbs,
and I'm painting black holes on my palms,
pressing them into letters
left on my nightstand
untouched and unread.
I keep telling myself
none of this is about you.
But I'm reaching for empty galaxies
as I try to remember what it felt like
to be one of a binary star.
Light-years away, and I'm here-
just another nova on your ceiling,
searching this vast universe for you.
Too IndifferentHate me, I don't careToo Indifferent in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
Hate me, if you dare
I am who I am and I won't change
I won't take back a word I meant
Despise me, say I am deranged
Since to your world order I never bent
Mock me, I don't care
Mock me, if you dare
Your words mean nothing to me at all
Soon your wrath will fall back on you
Insult me and yell at me and squall
Smoke and mirrors, in the end, off they blew
Charge me, I don't care
Charge me, if you dare
Blame me for all things I committed
And for all I have not done
Are you better if I admitted
Them? Too bad, but you still have not won
Bark, little dog, bark
Bite, little dog, bite
Try, little dog. I won't fight with you
You're too indifferent to me
You're not the first, not the last one, too
Who can't (under)stand the way I chose to be

We think that we deserve it but then
The angel we owe this to falls finally
We wonder aloud and we wonder why
And over the angel we broke we cry
Still we can't see we caused it initially
It's too easy to make angels fall
While wond'ring "Where are the angels all?"
It's so easy to push them over the edge
By demanding and taking it all, yet
We never give, never repay the debt
Tell me, what excuse do we have to allege?
Oh, leeches we are, vampires feeding
On angels' hearts, don't see they're needing
Kind words once in a while, arms to hold them, too
Why do we not tell them they are precious
Instead we're treating them so malicious-
ly, We kill angels, we're hell and them is woe

Just like we're bride and groom
Let us dance over the sea
Across the stars and moonbeams
Let us sway into the night
Where we're painted in silver light
Let us dance through the fire
As we make a path of desire
Let us sway into the stars
A tango set us free from pain
And samba brings us throu the rain
Let us dance until the end
Forever I'll hold your hand
The only rythm that we need
is your steady heart beat
The songs of love only we hear
Tenderly in each others ear
And we both now it is true
As we both whisper, "I love you."
About HateWhen hate is a fire, then it's burning cold.About Hate in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
All consuming, raging uncontrolled.
Hot tears are burning in eyes and on skin,
Unable to calm the storm within.
The consumptive flame turns from red to white.
Burns down borders between wrong and right,
Disoriented reason leads astray.
Lined with ash and debris is the way.
Beneath the heat of raging fire is ice,
For firstly the cold did heat entice.
When freezing the heart in its icy grip.
The shell won't melt, won't break or rip.

And suddenly the world is upside down.

They act all so strange, but why, why?
I need to get out, out of our world
Suddenly the perfect fit's too small.
Pain, pain, pain, everywhere
Inside, outside, somebody help!
Why, what's going on, why does it hurt?
Help me, end it! End it all!
What's going on?
What did you do to me?
Oh, poor thing, I see you there.
Ah, your conversion has begun.
All these changes, all the pain
Blur you senses, cloud your mind.
Hush, hush, don't be scared.
It's only natural, you see?
Shedding your old skin, breaking
Out of your old shell
It's painful, so painful
It's only natural to snap
At those near you, you have to.
Pain, pain, pain, everywhere
What they do, their reason why
A mystery to the hurt and confused you
You can't see clear even if you think
Because your brain and eyes change too.

Where Things Went WrongI think I owe you an apologyWhere Things Went Wrong in Songs & Lyrics More Like This
For the way I acted towards you.
Ignoring my own advice I failed
To follow the rules I made for me.
I still don't know what's wrong with me,
Neither why I took it out on you.
So here I stand and wonder if
We can go back to how we once were.
"I am sorry for what I did",
These words I can't force out.
Trying to solve a puzzle I can't see
I wonder where things went wrong.
Where things went wrong
Maybe I just wasn't aware of how thin
My usually thick skin had become.
While I went into the swamp of doubts
And depression to help others out.
I've sunken in without noticing
Until it all went so very wrong.
Or maybe the constantly "fuck you"
Of a friend hurt more than I did know.
"I am sorry for what I did",
These words I can't force out.
Trying to solve a puzzle I can't see.
I wonder where things went wrong.
Where things went wrong
There are still more things I could bring up,
Like the anniversary of death.
But I am not sure, if I were you,
If I could be satisfied
Obituary Of A FriendshipAfter all this time we finally meet again.Obituary Of A Friendship in Free Verse More Like This
I'm excited to hear how you've been, my friend.
But when you start to talk I start to abstain.
While I smile, secretly I wish for this to end.
We're thrown back into a time that ended long ago.
What we had in common does not matter anymore.
Again you want a shoulder so you can have a good cry.
I am diplomatic though I sense this friendship does die.
About all the tragedies that happend to you I shall know
While I cannot tell you why my smile becomes so sore.
I am really sorry that things have come to this.
We used to be good friends but we both have changed.
I treasure what we had, but you I won't miss,
Once we parted ways and the goodbyes are exchanged.
We've grown apart and the distance between us is vast.
You talk so much and more yet still nothing has been said.
The conversation runs dry, as it dies we start to brag
About what we achieved, but that's just hoisting the white flag.
There is no sense in trying to keep alive what's dead.

Then, a door of a dark, dark cell openes and reveals a dark, dark shadow heading for the upper floors of the dark, dark dungeon. Heading to where the dungeon is not a dungeon but a world. And then the dark dark shadow taints the world, leaving a dark, dark trace. Flowers

That you just have to do
If not for yourself
Then for someone close
I don't know if these words

It gets better, even if your life has melted like butter

But you’re to insecure to accept the help
Even though the wounds on your arms, tells all your tales
And how you started digging that hole

Emily lets the words call her names sometimes. She writes them on her knees so that she can remember them. Sometimes the words call her a whore, and sometimes stupid, and sometimes a loser and sometimes a tramp (She has never learnt that loving too much is a crime and boys with pretty eyes sometimes lie.). I don't sleep restlessly from the truth of suffering within this world.

I miss my daddy a lot but I know he's always by my side."

Then you go and claim it was all a joke, a mere jest
But your words mean more than you comprehend
Your words can lose somebody their dearest friend
Your jokes have taken another young life away
Now the day is bleak and a cruel shade of grey
Know that to obtain your one little power trip
Your victim will feel as if they are being whipped
So the next time you feel the urge to tease or play
Be sure to always remember what happened this day
Your torment stole a family member and friend
And for the family, there will seem to be no end
Stop the bullying before another young life is stolen from us
All It Takes - Chapter FourJust when I thought my day couldn't possibly get any worse, I turned to meet a pair of pale blue eyes that belonged to the person who had grabbed my shoulder Duncan Smith. A sneer played across his lips and I felt the urge to punch him square in the nose. But, I resisted that urge and jerked away from him, trying to continue on my way to my car.All It Takes - Chapter Four in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Duncan, however, had other plans. He caught my arm and twisted me around, shoving me into the one area of the school that was away from any prying eyes students, faculty and cameras. He pinned me back to the wall, rubbing my bare wrists against the bricks behind me. He shielded my body from any other sort of view and got so close I could feel the heat that rolled off of him in waves. I needed to vomit. The area he'd forced me into smelled strongly of burned marijuana, alcohol and sweat. Throw in some of Duncan's overbearing cologne and it was a miracle I hadn't already tossed my cookies.

You've Changed...People they lie and cheat and change and hurtYou've Changed... in Free Verse More Like This
All so many do is treat others like a pile of dirt
They can be friends one day and change the next
Looking only for money, drugs or even just sex
That seems to be the way of the world now
Something that has become acceptable to allow
But it is a sad truth that many will not admit
Through this time of hatred, it seems so few make it
We used to be so very close, you and I were
But I'm afraid that you've begun to change good sir
I no longer recognize the person you have become
What is left of who you were? Fore I see not a crumb
The hurt you cause us, I know you cannot see
And I know that you will probably disagree
But the evidence is just too clear
You've changed to much, my friend, my dear
Maybe one day we'll see the person you were
And maybe then things can go back to the way they were before

Violets are blue,
And with these things still said,
Roses are red.
So I want you to know,
I've a friendship to show,
You've helped me through life,
Through sadness and strife.
You made my day,
I've too much to say,
I love you my friend,
Til the end.
