Not many shots had been taken Saturday so I'm just uploading my favorite. Tiny tiny anime 'con' that happened Saturday, downtown Ann Arbor, MI. Was sitting in on one of the panels, of which I got absolutely nothing out of cause I couldn't hear a word over the fan inside the head :P

Definitely had fun wandering around town and on campus, hangin' with the Homestuck cosplayers. Got a good number of awesome reactions as well as taking first in the cosplay contest :3 Bandana has the poke` symbol as well as the name "Fawkes". All in all the debut went well, had some bothersome 13 year olds but I got to freak out a cop on my way to the con so any downfalls were made up by the feedback I got from the general public I passed by.

Head originally made by Nathow111 on DA, heavily upgraded by me. Body and the rest is also me, Pokemon copyrighted to Gamefreak.

Finally got a full turnaround of this guy. No video, but he is at the moment one of my favorite suits I've made. 4 different realistic furs, a 5th on the arms and 2 different white furs. His debut was as a partial at this most recent Indy Fur Con and is to debut as a full suit at MFF the end of this year.

Hand painted jawset, glass taxidermy eyes from Tohickon. Hand wefted details in the ears, airbrushed markings, hand trimmed, and topped off with horse hair whiskers. His jaw is the most sensitive I've had so far from this base. Resin claws, rubber paw pads, and serged seams are upon the arms and hands. Tail is a mixture of 5 different furs all in itself.

Fursuit belongs to Teeth Wolf of FA, design and work by me.

Meet Scout! This ferret is a brand new head with a few new things that I've been wanting to try. Foam and balaclava base, this head has a HUGE amount of vision! Fantastic ventilation, it's a tad large on me so it's rather comfy. Silicone nose is made by DreamVision Creations upon DA/FA, the rest is by me. Slip on style hood, Scout features 4 different types of fur:

Distinctive Fabrics cream, white, and brown as well as a lighter and longer reddish brown purchased from another maker.

Scout is a full suit that will debut at MFF 2012 along with her blind companion so keep an eye out for this adorable Guide-Woozle in the future!

Werewolf costume that I've worn for the past two Halloweens. It's made of spandex and fake fur.

I've officially retired this suit, as with basically all of my personal costumes, I made this one super quickly and with experimental processes and thus it hasn't survived the test of time.

A werewolf costume which I've had in my plans for a while, and ended up throwing together rather quickly so I could have it in time for Halloween. I'm planning to start an upgraded version relatively soon.

Man, did I scare the crap out of some trick-or-treaters, though!

You can't tell in this photo because of the daylight, but there are yellow LEDs in the eyes, so they glow creepily.

I am kind of in love with tail tufts all of a sudden. I'm working on doing more with my dragons bodies and tails, and fluffy multicolored tails just make them seem even MORE cuddly. :XD:

He'll be up for sale later today, see my journal for more info: [link]

QUESTIONS???
Please visit my FAQ page [link] before asking questions about techniques and materials. Just about every question I get is covered there. I’m not trying to be rude, I just get tired of answering the same questions over and over ^^;

NEDA stands for National Eating Disorders Association. On her flank is their symbol. The person who commissioned this is celebrating their first year of recovery from an eating disorder. Awesome! Hopefully this little pony will bring her lots of joy and also be a reminder of how far she's come :)

The pecs are twice as thick as any have I done before because I wanted a nice deep chest

step one draw muscles on foam
step two cut muscles and shape them
step three place fur over muscles, pin into muscle creases
step four take care of wrinkles via pins and then hand sewing
step five machine sew hand sewn areas
step six place over muscles and carefully and thoroughly glue fur to foam being sure to use plenty of glue in the creases, at the creases place pins through fur into dummy to be sure glue sets well to both fur and foam for a firm bond
step seven glue on a backing to the foam that covers all the fur and foam
step eight machine sewn down the long center crease (I would sew all of the creases but I cannot fit in the machine, hell i hardly manage to sew the center one) bonding backing and fur and foam together
step nine remove enough stuffing from dummy for backing of abs to lay flat
step ten continue assembling fur around dummy as normal

and I need to darken the brown under the eye

but here is a sneek peek

I maaaaay have gone overkill on the whiskers, I will let the customer decide on if I should pluck some (I love them as-is though!) they did not pay for whiskers but I decided he REALLY needed them annnnnnd I have been wanting to try horsehair for whiskers and tested it on this and eeeeee they are like unbreakable compared to the fiber optic ones <3

Mightyena has been done for a while, I just failed to upload her...

We had started the costume about this time last year with my sister doing most of the work on it... and my sister had been sewing it prior to the dog walk taken the night she got hit... and as you can imagine the project got put on hold for a very long time as my sister was not only unable to work on it but the suit took on a sort of emotional backstory.
In the end seeing it finished proved to be therapeutic as did having a quadsuit buddy at cons (and by that I mean our teenage niece whom the quadsuit was made for)

Well, I'll keep uploading these kind of things...

The hat was a pain...
Can't wait to fit all the braids underneath... Jahoo....

Love the flintlock though, these things just... have something about them. Another Denix replica, modified to more closely resemble Aveline's. They're not exactly accurate, but accurate ennough I suppose.

:P

I toke some artistique liberty with these.
This in order to make them look good and make them fit well.

We chose for a high heel, rather then flat soles that Aveline originally has. This to achieve a wee bit more body height for my wife and make the boots more feminin.

Just need to attach the buttons on the sides (3 on each boot) and then they're done!

At first I didn't want to use the Machette, but rather a pirate saber. Some ingame shots show her to have one.

Then I thought... The machette does emhasise the character, much as Connor's Tomahawk, and the Machette should be a little easier to move around with.

The thing is made out of a PVC pipe and the handle is made of 2 pieces of wood.

The logo of the belt is also PVC.
I must admit I am pretty satisfied with the whole thing so far :D

Might add more yellow patern thingies on the red waiste belt, but not certian yet.

I think the whole look of the costume is good so far.

More soon!!
