__________________________________________________
The transit of Venus across the solar sphere is somewhat irregular and occurs at intervals of 114.5, 8, 105 years. The last recorded was yesterday (central Mexico time) and how I had an AT pendant with *rosel-D since february u_u (maybe he forgot it...) , I thought I'd do something about it, so after finishing my exams yesterday I started to do it.
Contrary to what is in the comic, transit does not mean that Venus passes closest to the sun, it's just like an eclipse, but because their respective sizes can not be considered as such.

I apologize ROSEL-D for butchering Mercury i hope i didn't drain him of all manliness u3u

Anyway, Mercury is the ruling planet over Gemini, which means that Mercury influences how Gemini acts but... it doesn't seem so. xD

A bit of fanart for :iconrosel-d: I'm totally in love with their Planetary Moe but while perusing their gallery, I noticed that while Rosel had Charon, they didn't have Pluto's other three moons. So I asked if it would be alright if I made designs for them and was granted permission. I tried my best to mimic the style in which Rosel colors the planets.

Here's some info on their personalities:

Charon: Considers Pluto to be his twin. Always tries to make Pluto feel like he's apprechiated, but since he hardly ever speaks, his intentions are quite often misinterpreted. Indifferent to the other three moons, he is never seen far from Pluto's company. (This is purely me making things up to fit his design. I'm not even sure Rosel has a personality for Charon, but this is what I see him as.)

Hydra: Younger than Nix, he's a bit of a grouch and will snap at her from time to time. However, he secretly likes Nix and will go out of his way to make her happy but his efforts go unnoticed. He doesn't like S/2011-P1 at all.

Nix: Appears to be the oldest of the group, but Charon is actually oldest. The motherly and protective type, but because of her surface's dimness, she is vague and disjointed in her speech. Hard to read the emotions of.

S/2011-P1: His orbit is closer to Nix than Hydra's, which pisses Hydra off. Nix seems to pay a bit more attention to S/2011-P1, which only further infuriates Hydra. Mopey and small in stature, he is Pluto's smallest moon. S/2011-P1 wishes he was closer to Pluto, so he would have someone to talk to.

All MaPhilIndo in their Royal clothes :

=> Indonesia is wearing Dayak Kenyan and Javanese Sultan clothes :[link] ; [link]

=> Malaysia is wearing Dayak Kenyan and Datuk clothes :[link]

=> Philippines is wearing Pintados and Lakandula clothes :[link]

=> MaPhilIndo Perception of Time :[link]

Not everyone in the world views the concept of time in the same way. In fact, some cultures don’t even make time a part of their lives. Some cultures are wary of time passing by, while others run their lives by the clock.

In MaPhilIndo Time is seen as a gentle river carrying everything along. Little effort is made to "manage" the flow. "Morning," "noon," "afternoon," "evening," divide the day adequately. Indonesians explain to Westerners that they live in "rubber time." Appointments, when made, are vague, provisional indications of intention. Harmonious interaction with other people in a flexible, spontaneous, unstructured context is the norm they seek. Interpersonal skills are valued and highly developed.

This approach to time is reflected in their language. Verbs in Indonesian, Malaysian and Philippines have no tense. A time indicator is used, if necessary, at the beginning of a thought, but the verb remains the same for the past, present, future, and pluperfect subjunctive.

=> "EXOTIC" IS NOT A COMPLIMENT :[link] ;[link]

Exotic, in its most basic form, means to belong from somewhere else, stemming from the Greek exotikos (“from the outside”). Only 30 or so years after its English coinage in the 1590s, it came to mean not literally foreign, but psychologically so: alien, unusual, unfamiliar. It was mostly applied to plants and objects for a couple hundred years.

That usage of exotic was prescient in another way, for somewhere along the line, exotic went from describing a consciously cultivated look to describing something its bearer could hardly strip away: race. Exotic became code for dark-skinned people of various ethnicities: black (Naomi Campbell, Beverly Peele, Sade), Latina (Selena), Asian (Tina Chow, Joan Chen).

It’s not terribly hard to see why exotic is problematic: In the States, white women are still perceived as neutral; dark-skinned women are the Other. For something to be exotic, by definition it must be the Other. So with exotic—which is usually used in an ostensibly positive sense, to describe a woman with striking beauty—we’re also looking sideways at its target, the message bearing the subtext of “You’re not from around here, are you?” Yet while exotic neatly performs its function of divide-and-conquer, it’s also used to express anxiety about race and categorization, particularly when applied to mixed-race women.

And in some ways, of course, that’s impossible: We define exoticness based on our own perspective, and there’s really no other way to do it, because the very definition of exotic relies upon being unusual. But when we use exotic, we’re making assumptions based not only on our own “usual” but on the “usual” of those around us. Most of us understand that we’re all going to read beauty differently from one another, leading us to deploy terms like hot or cute. But with exotic, there’s a shared understanding: If I don’t believe that your baseline of what constitutes the exotic will be the same as mine, using the word makes no sense. To use exotic is to assume dominance. Exotic says as much about the speaker as it does the subject. Actually, it says more.

=> DO NOT CALL TRIBAL PEOPLE "PRIMITIVE" :[link]

Corry’s article argues that governments regularly exploit the false idea that tribal peoples are ‘primitive’ in order to remove them from their land and open it up to outsiders, thereby freeing up access to its natural resources. Often this is done in the name of ‘development’, justified on the grounds that the supposedly primitive tribes are backward and need to ‘catch up’ with the rest of us. This is exactly the same, false argument once used to justify colonialism.

Buerk’s remark was also condemned by West Papua’s leading human rights organisation. Elsham said Buerk was ‘regurgitating racist stereotypes.’

Short story of Brunei & Philippines.

=> Urduja

Urduja (ca. 1350 – 1400 AD) is a legendary warrior princess who is recognized as a heroine in Pangasinan, Philippines. The name Urduja appears to be Sanskrit in origin, and a variation of the name "Udaya", meaning "arise" or "rising sun", or the name "Urja", meaning "breath". A historical reference to Urduja can be found in the travel account of Ibn Battuta (1304 – possibly 1368 or 1377 AD), a Muslim traveler from Morocco.

Ibn Battuta described Urduja as the ruler of Kaylukari in the land of Tawalisi. After reaching Samudra in what is now Sumatra, Ibn Battuta passed by Tawalisi on his way to China. Princess Urduja was described as a daughter of a ruler named Tawalisi of a land that was also called Tawalisi. The ruler of Tawalisi, according to Ibn Battuta, possessed many ships and was a rival of China, which was then ruled by a Mongol dynasty.[1] Ibn Battuta sailed for 17 days to reach China from the land of Tawalisi.[2]

Ibn Battuta made a pilgrimage to Mecca and he traveled to many other parts of the Islamic world. From India and Sumatra, Ibn Battuta reached the land of Tawalisi. Ibn Battuta described Urduja as a warrior princess whose army was composed of men and women. Urduja was a woman warrior who personally took part in the fighting and engaged in duels with other warriors. She was quoted as saying that she will marry no one but him who defeats her in duel. Other warriors avoided fighting her for fear of being disgraced.[3]

Urduja impressed Ibn Battuta with her military exploits and her ambition to lead an expedition to India, known to her as the "Pepper Country." She also showed her hospitality by preparing a banquet for Ibn Battuta and the crew of his ship. Urduja generously provided Ibn Battuta with gifts that included robes, rice, two buffaloes, and four large jars of ginger, pepper, lemons, and mangoes, all salted, in preparation for Ibn Battuta's sea-voyage to China.[4] Source :[link]

=> Tawalisi

Tawalisi (ca. 1350 C.E - 1400 C.E.) is a fabled Southeast Asian kingdom described in the journals of Ibn Battuta [1]. Ibn Battuta said he reached Tawalisi after a sea voyage of 71 days, 34 of which were spent rowing due to no wind. He said he reached China from Tawalisi after a voyage of 17 days. The commentators have never been able to decide the port of departure for the 71 day voyage, and so have concentrated on the 17 day voyage from Tawalisi to China. [2].

A long list of guesses as to the location of Tawalisi have included Pangasinan, Luzon, Sulu, Celebes (Sulawesi), Cambodia, Cochin-China, the mainland province of Kwangtung, and practically every island in South Asia beginning with ta. [3]. Source :[link]

Short story of Brunei & Philippines.

Philippines clothes from Tagalog Maginoo class. From the Boxer Codex, c.1595 AD.

=> Kingdom of Tondo

Tondo, (also referred to as Tundo, Tundun, Tundok, Lusung) was a Philippine fortified kingdom which was located in the Manila Bay area, specifically north of the Pasig river, on Luzon island. It is one of the settlements mentioned by the Philippines' earliest historical record, the Laguna Copperplate Inscription. Originally an Indianized kingdom in the 10th century, Tondo initiated diplomatic ties with China during the Ming Dynasty, and thus became a dominant force in trade throughout Southeast Asia and East Asia. (See Luções). Its regional prominence in trade and alliance with Brunei's Sultan Bolkiah in 1500 led to its peak age as a thalassocratic force in the northern archipelago. When the Spanish first arrived in Tondo in 1570 and defeated the local rulers in the Manila Bay area in 1591, Tondo came under the administration of Manila (a Spanish fort built on the remains of Kota Seludong), ending its existence as an independent state. This subjugated Tondo continues to exist today as a district of the city of Manila.

=> Alliance with Brunei (1500 A.D.)

Tondo became so prosperous that around the year 1500 AD, the Kingdom of Brunei under Sultan Bolkiah merged it by a royal marriage of Gat Lontok, who later became Rajah of Namayan, and Dayang Kaylangitan to establish a city with the Malay name of Selurong (later to become the city of Maynila)[11][12] on the opposite bank of Pasig River. The traditional rulers of Tondo, the Lakandula, retained their titles and property but the real political power transferred to the House of Soliman, the Rajahs of Manila.[13] Source :[link]

=> Colonial period

Tondo was one of the first provinces to declare rebellion against Spain in year 1896. In 1911, under the American colonial regime, there was a major reorganization of political divisions, and the province of Tondo was dissolved, and its towns given to the provinces of Rizal and Bulacan. Today, Tondo just exists as a district in the City of Manila. Source :[link]

=> Ramayana in Indonesia

In Indonesia, the world’s largest Islamic nation, Ramayana and Mahabharata are compulsory subjects in some of the universities. In the Indonesian version of Mahabharata, Draupathi has only onehusband. At the famous 10th Century Prambanan temple in centralJava, dedicated to Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, the Ramayana isdepicted in bas-relief in several parts. The sultan of Jogjakarta supports the daily performance of a leather puppet show of either Ramayana or Mahabharata in his Palace annexure. He also subsidizesthe world’s only daily performance of a dance ballet based on Ramayana, performed with the Prambanan towers as its backdrop. The highlight of the extraordinary show is that all the two hundred artistes are Muslims. Source :[link]
