.this poem is drunk right now. in Personal More Like This
this poem is a disappointment
this poem is a mess
this poem would be nothing without me
do you believe me? i will grow talons to tear
into and out of myself, there will be no need
for that knife, no need for gore
or for love,
there is nothing
and it will be gone
it is something
(this is not a poem. do you believe me?)
.you touch the morning when she's sleeping;. in Personal More Like This
she is soft and bruised, but
she is silent
she is not there
she is where
the darkness ruptures,
pours out stars, gives birth
to light, and where two planets
scrape against each other
as they pass, she's where
the trees in their dead slumber
dream of green coating the earth,
a heavy blanket weighing down
the dead ones while they sleep
she's where her breath departs her mouth
as small bouquets in winter, white,
and where the plants will snap
their bones just to get closer
(she is where hell cannot bend her mind)

“The very meaninglessness of life forces man to create his own meaning. Children, of course, begin life with an untarnished sense of wonder, a capacity to experience total joy at something as simple as the greenness of a leaf; but as they grow older, the awareness of death and decay begins to impinge on their consciousness and subtly erode their joie de vivre, their idealism—and their assumption of immortality. As a child matures, he sees death and pain everywhere about him, and begins to lose faith in the ultimate goodness of man. But, if he’s reasonably strong—and lucky—he can emerge from this twilight of the soul into a rebirth of life’s elan. Both because of and in spite of h

I am haunted in this holiday season by the opening lines of Charles Dickens’s A Tale of Two Cities, his novel about a society 250 years ago coming apart in its seemingly irreconcilable divisions. Could it be these lines define where we have come to find ourselves today?
“It was the best of times,
it was the worst of times,
in the age of wisdom,
it was the age of foolishness,
it was the epoch of belief,
it was the epoch of incredulity,
it was the season of Light,
it was the season of Darkness,

My Favorite Speedpaints
The Used, Night Out, and InsomniaOn Thursday night, I went to see one of my old favourite bands, The Used (they are pretty much the sole reason I own a guitar). I would like to say that they were amazing, and I'm pretty sure that they were, but I can't remember all of it all that clearly - I got utterly inebriated. Just to give you some kind of context as to my drunkenness; I passed out literally halfway through The Used's set, and was woken up by a security guard threatening to phone me an ambulance. Anyway, I still had a brilliant time, and they played all of my favourite songs (you can see the setlist here in case you're interested - sidenote: this is actually a really cool website that has the setlist for literally every gig ever played, complete with links to all the songs). By some miracle, I still managed to get to college for ten to nine the next morning. The Used, Night Out, and Insomnia in Personal More Like This

Want to get noticed on DAOn deviant art it is very hard to get popular and that's why I started this mentoring program. You might be wondering what does that even mean but it's when deserving deviants get the attention they deserve.Want to get noticed on DA in Personal More Like This
What does it mean to get mentored? You get free features on my profile like you and you art if you qualify, you get a forum about you if you qualify,
What are the qualifications? Your account must be at least two weeks old, you must have given a decent amount of comments for the time that you've been on deviant art I can see how many you've given by looking on your profile, you must have quality submissions whether it be drawing of any sort photography photo manipulation or sculpting it just has to be quality material. And you must be active I don't want to see "last visit 19 weeks ago" so you must login regularly so that I know you're active and if your activity is hidden I'll simply request if you would temporarily publicize it so the I can be
42So I was up on the hills where I live the other day just after it stopped a heavy burst of raining. As you hit the top of the highest hill, you're greeted by miles of seemingly untouched green land and it's awe inspiring in short and it's where I go for insight, inspiration and overall contentment. We all have our 'place' be it physically or mentally where we become 'wise and all knowing' about the idea of life as a whole and the hills are my place.42 in Personal More Like This
But that's not what this note's about, it's to share something I mentally debated and concluded there with you. We've all heard, thought or at some point in our lives asked the question "What's the meaning of life? Why are we here anyways? What is our purpose? What is MY purpose?" And the answer, for me, came with out even asking the question that day.Our intelligence as a species has both made us excel and at the same has restrained us in how we see or understand things. It's caused us to believe we're seperate to the 'animals' that roam t
