Lament of a princessThe sky was bright orange. The sun had been setting for the past few minutes now and it's fading light was creating a spectacular scene. A grassy hill, in the middle of a beautiful flower-filled field. Atop the hill, a single oak tree, probably a hundred years old.Lament of a princess in Short Stories More Like This
But it was next to the tree where the truly important sight was. It was a stone. Old and worn, with etchings on one side. As the sun's light began to dim, a figure approached the stone. An alicorn, with dark blue fur and a mane that contained the very night sky.
She approached the stone and gently sat down. Her gaze never left the etchings, which had been partly obscured by moss and ivy. Carefully, making sure not to damage thje stone, she used her hoof to brush the plants away, revealing the markings more clearly. As she looked upon them, her expression, which until then had been fairly stoic, eventually began to morph into one of pain. Her eyes shut tightly as they began to well up.

It had been many months since news had reached the town, that a wedding would take place. An what a wedding it would be. The pegasi, under Rainbow Dash's instructions, had cleared the skies above town of any clouds that might rain today. As such, they could not have chosen a more gloriously sunny day on which to hold the proceedings.
And the wedding was not the only exciting news for the townsfolk. For rumour had it that a very important pony would be conducting the ceremony. Moonlit tearsShe concentrated, as she had done so for so many years. Concentrated and focused her power, using all her magic to move the celestial body before her. The sky began to dim as the fiery orb descended upon the horizon. Within moments, it was gone, and the land of Equestria was now deprived of it's light and warmth. There was a time when that would be the end of Celestia's daily duties, but these days, there was one final task she had to perform. Turning around, she now faced the east.
Closing her eyes once more, her horn began to glow again as she focused her power into moving yet another important part of the world. Slowly, the pale white orb rose above the eastern horizon until it hung gracefully in the night sky. What followed was a swarm of tiny dots of light which surrounded the orb and the blackn
Equestria Girls - Concerns of a brotherHe looked out upon the streets of the crystal city, the wind gently blowing through his window. Shining Armour, prince of this Empire, was in his office, having just finished much of his daily paperwork, and was thus taking a short break to admire the scenery. One of the perks of this job was getting quite a view from his office, as it gave him a magnificent look over the shining crystal buildings of this city. Despite his role as head of the Empire's military, it had been relatively quiet here, with only the Empire’s restoration having caused any major difficulties.Equestria Girls - Concerns of a brother in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

And this was an attitude which served the young dragon well, because sure enough, he soon found what he was looking for. "Medicines and remedies volume 3". As happy as Spike was that he found it, he simply hoped that it would do what the unicorn below was hoping it would. he slid down the ladder and turned around, holding up the book as he did so.
"Hey Mom! I found it!"
The purple unicorn before him turned from her own book and smiled. Using her magic, Twilight Sparkle levitated the tome from Spike's hands and brought it towards her.
"Thanks Spike. All we need now is to find out which ingredients we need." She said enthusiastically.
Spike grabbed a nearby gemstone from a bowl on the table and began munching on it. He walked behind the mare and peeke

Twilight Sparkle struggled to walk forward. Her legs were wobbling with every step she took. The darkness didn't help. Ever since she and Spike had failed to find the crystal heart, a shadow had consumed the entire interior of the castle. When that happened, she and Spike had been separated. She had no idea if he was ten feet away, twenty, or even if they were in the same room at this point. Every attempt to call out to him had been met with silence. She worried for him, as any friend would. But that was just one of many serious worries she had right now.
A thud. She nursed her side as she felt around and realised she'd walked into a wall. She silently cursed her present condi
