My nephew Scott loves fishing, outside of working, he is always fishing somewhere in the ocean or local lakes! I am often the benefactor. He is coming over for dinner tonight, i thought i would "treat" him Sashimi dinner with Miso soup. For dessert, shaved ice with red bean paste and fresh Bing cherries.

For presentation - What i did here is i used a piece of wood as my plate, the wood has been cleaned thoroughly in hot water and coated with vegetable oil. My nephew does not like daikon, so i julienne the carrots instead. I hope you like it!

It is such torture to make dinner like this...truth be told, i would much rather eat the entire dinner by myself.....So hard....To control the urges! Lol...

:bulletblue: Foot note - Did you know you can get free wood from Home Depot? They have a bin that is called the "cold bin", anything that are in the bin are free...This "plate" for example, I've gotten 6 pieces in total.

:bulletblue: Sashimi 刺身 is a Japanese delicacy consisting of very fresh raw meat or fish sliced into thin pieces.

Another dessert I had at Pokka Cafe .
I love the bowl and the presentation. Again very neat and pretty.
You have to be quick to eat this dessert if you want to have the right taste, because the sweet potatoe was warm. And the combination with warm and cold (ice cream) is surprisly nice.

When I was in Hongkong, 'yam cha' was one of the daily things I do everyday.
'Yam cha' means drinking tea, and apart of that
you also order small dishes of food like 'dim sum'
Oh my God I so miss that.

Here I have ordered mochi bunnies. THINKING it was made
of buns but booohoo it wasen't. :dead:
It taste like marshmellows covered in coconut flakes.
Me ish dissapointed. Overall I was more chewing
on some candy then having dim sum.

I really hope that my answering machine message in which I pretend to answer the phone is gonna freak people out after I'm dead.

I try to make the world a better place through the Twogag Facebook page. So far it's had the opposite effect.

1:12 Halloween candy.

Getting ready to set up my Halloween miniature table again this year. Thought I'd start out with some candy! Big swirly lollipops, little jack-'o-lantern hard candies, red and black licorice, and some Unicorn lollipops.

I also made a blog post on these here: bon-appeteats.blogspot.com/

I decided to try and challenge myself by making these standing Christmas tree cookies. It takes a few tries, but each one of these cookies will stand on their own. :)

This whole idea came together over two years ago with a goofy pencil sketch I did on lined paper. From that came three projects showing the PE gang in their normal outfits converted into Flintstone characters. I bought a Hanna-Barbera book recently, and the desire to start this idea again emerged. This is much more like the sketch I did two years ago, with the Flintstone outfits. And I even threw in the Plateau Express building! What can't be seen is the huge Pterodactyl in the hangar that Fry and Leela use to deliver the packages in Bedrock. "Oh my gosh, Amy...how are we going to pay for all of this?"
"Don't worry...I've got Daddy's credit card."

Well, here it is...the Jetson's project. This was another one of those sketches from about three years ago that got lost in the pile. Personally, I can't think of a better mash-up of two characters than this one; other than age, they're very similar. I think that the Futurama characters would fit nicely into the Jetson world. Keep in mind that the background, the characters, and the two buildings are three separate composite elements put together - I did the background over two weeks ago, knowing that I was going to use it for this project.

Fred turned to Velma. "But, what does it do?"
It imitates things," she told him,  "and it imitates them perfectly. It was trying to imitate the dogs. But look at this over here - this isn't dog. It was trying to imitate Mr. Baxter before we hit it with the flame-thrower."
"Like, what are we gonna do?"
"Shaggy, I'm going to need some more dynamite."

This project was started just after Christmas, and was nearly forgotten about until last night. Based on John Carpenter's "The Thing," it's just proof that sometimes it's better to leave the mystery unsolved and get the hell out. It probably wasn't a great idea to accept a mystery up near the North Pole at that Norwegian station anyway. Yet hearing Fred scream "Torch it, Velma, torch it!!" would definitely be worth the price of admission.

Velma looked at her mystery-solving friends grimly. "I've devised a little test to see if any of us is the alien."
     "This is ridiculous..."
"Fred, you were the last one with the tracking dogs - that's why you're going to be first. Sit down."

Scooby characters are the property of Hanna-Barbera; The Thing is the property of Universal Pictures.

I never did art for Futurama's previous cancellations so I was unsure if I wanted to do this.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPh7y_… Have some fitting music that goes along with the cancellation and the theme of the episode.

From All The Presidents' Heads.
I remember a while ago I said that I would do one like this so it's about time I finally decided to do so. I've done something similar with Simpsons fanart, but I've never done anything too colourful for Futurama. I'm glad I had the chance to do so now. I decided not to have the background so crowded this time round and instead I went for some simpler designs. Hopefully you all know your alien alphabet. It's not so hard. So there you go, Zoidberg is tripping out and Amy just naturally fits in with the style of the era.

From Decision 3012
Experimenting with textures and without lines. I actually started this back when the episode aired but just decided to finish it today. I think it sort of has a 3Dish look, especially on Destructor.
I was also trying to give it a gritty look, considering the events :P
I have been trying this style with other pictures but this is the first I finished, but hopefully I'll get round to finishing the others some day.
