I never did art for Futurama's previous cancellations so I was unsure if I wanted to do this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPh7y_… Have some fitting music that goes along with the cancellation and the theme of the episode.
From All The Presidents' Heads. I remember a while ago I said that I would do one like this so it's about time I finally decided to do so. I've done something similar with Simpsons fanart, but I've never done anything too colourful for Futurama. I'm glad I had the chance to do so now. I decided not to have the background so crowded this time round and instead I went for some simpler designs. Hopefully you all know your alien alphabet. It's not so hard. So there you go, Zoidberg is tripping out and Amy just naturally fits in with the style of the era.
From Decision 3012 Experimenting with textures and without lines. I actually started this back when the episode aired but just decided to finish it today. I think it sort of has a 3Dish look, especially on Destructor. I was also trying to give it a gritty look, considering the events I have been trying this style with other pictures but this is the first I finished, but hopefully I'll get round to finishing the others some day.
Ok, here is some bento. If you didn't read my journal then i will tell you that we are opening up to onigiri and bento. Here is the recipe
Bite size shrimp and caper sushi, about 40 cal per piece Tamagoyaki (Japanese omelette), 3 eggs worth, cut into 12 pieces - about 30 cal per piece Cherry tomatoes Blanched snow peas or mangetout Carrot flowers Cherries (not shown) Takes 30-1 hour to make.
This is actually on location stuff for district. They sent me out to do a sushi article. I don't really like doing food with natural light, and I don't have a tripod or can't use one a lot when doing newspaper stuff. Bah. Oh high ISO, when will I escape you?
Film scan updates probably start tommorow. Man they take forever.
My nephew Scott loves fishing, outside of working, he is always fishing somewhere in the ocean or local lakes! I am often the benefactor. He is coming over for dinner tonight, i thought i would "treat" him Sashimi dinner with Miso soup. For dessert, shaved ice with red bean paste and fresh Bing cherries.
For presentation - What i did here is i used a piece of wood as my plate, the wood has been cleaned thoroughly in hot water and coated with vegetable oil. My nephew does not like daikon, so i julienne the carrots instead. I hope you like it!
It is such torture to make dinner like this...truth be told, i would much rather eat the entire dinner by myself.....So hard....To control the urges! Lol...
Foot note - Did you know you can get free wood from Home Depot? They have a bin that is called the "cold bin", anything that are in the bin are free...This "plate" for example, I've gotten 6 pieces in total.
Sashimi 刺身 is a Japanese delicacy consisting of very fresh raw meat or fish sliced into thin pieces.
I made also these for last night's dinner. The avocado with tuna sushi took me a long time to make, because i wanted to make sure not only they taste good but also they look good on a plate. I think i did okay, what do you think?
I also served cold udon noodle salad for this dinner and green tea ice cream with fresh fruits for dessert.
