The flavor was a lot better than last time, even though I didn't have actual real beer (how come we always have to get fucking bud light?).
Made tartar sauce, but we didn't have capers. So I used diced olives and green onions instead. And lime zest and juice. And garlic powder.

Gorgas de carne asada.
I marinated the meat (1 pound of ranchero meat) in half a bottle of O'Douls with the zest and juice of one lemon and lime, three cloves of grated garlic, half a tablespoon of garlic salt, one or two tablespoon or so of salt, and half a tablespoon of pepper. Cooked it up, let it rest, have it a rough chop, and kept it warm while I toasted up a sliced telera bread that I sliced in half and buttered under the broiler. Gave it some mayo, refried beans rehydrated with half a cup of milk, the meat, crumbled queso fresco, sliced tomato, chopped romaine lettuce, guacamole (rough chopped avocado with thinly diced onion, salt, and lime), and salsa.

Okay, first of all, I don't know how to make a marinara sauce because I'm Mexican, not Italian, second of all, this was delicious regardless, and third of all, yes, any and all Italians will kill me for this unless I call it Spaghetti and Meatballs as made by a Mexican.

I started off getting some large tomatoes and making a small x-shaped cut on the bottoms, dropped them in boiling hot water for a minute, took them out and added them to ice water to shock them. Then I peeled them, cooked them some more, and set them off to the side. I had diced a bunch of garlic and onion, cooked them in butter until they were translucent, strained the tomato through a sift, to take out the seeds, added some chicken broth, salt, pepper, and dried parsley, and let it reduce by a bit. When it was done, I sliced a little mint into it. Cooked the spaghetti to al dente state, added it to the sauce. For the meatballs it was ground beef, salt, pepper, parsley, green onion, and a little crushed red pepper, pan-fried, and added to a little of the sauce I had left off to the side. The spaghetti gets balled up, served with the meatballs, topped with parmesan cheese, and a bit more mint.

Ooooh yes.

I try not to over do it, but it's a guilty pleasure of mine to order this, along with a couple beers.

Sizzling sirloin steak, served with mashed potatoes, broccoli, steamed carrots and corn.

And drowned with dollops of black pepper sauce. Obviously, this steak isn't Prime quality and isn't priced expensively. Good steaks do not need sauce, but this plate of beef certainly needs all the help it needs, given its price point. :slow:

Still, it hits the spot. Yummeh!

.... with chicken. :hungry:

Enjoyed at Rock Bottom Brewery, Downtown Minneapolis.

Incredibly filling - I couldn't finish it all at a go. But it's still a delicious mix of carbs, protein and fats.

Not forgetting the bowl of fries I had to go along with the meal... :innocent:

Don't judge me! :nana:

Lasagne: one of the most typical and tasty foods in Italian cuisine. It's a rich and complete dish which can be made in all sorts of different ways with many ingredients. Here it's the meat-based one made with tomato sauce, béchamel sauce, mozzarella and several kinds of Italian salami.
What you can see in this photo is the final outcome of a rather long and elaborate process I will not give away!

Yay, more food photography >w< This time, it's quiche!~ Made by my mom a while ago :)
We're certainly no expert on quiches, so I don't really know if my mom makes it the "right" way, but I think it still tastes good, and definitely still looks yummy :3

Thank you in advance for any favourites! I'm sorry I can't thank all of you individually.

I made some blueberry scones yesterday!~ :3
The texture is probably not very..scone-like; the batter came out a bit runny so they became these globby mounds ^^" I think they still acquired a nice colour though, and they still taste good ^_^

I love photographing food, and I also enjoy baking, but I try not to bake too often because desserts are my weakness @_@ but these were low fat + low sugar, and I also hadn't baked anything in a long time, so I went for it :3

Thank you in advance for any favourites! I'm sorry I can't thank all of you individually.
