Wooden bridge over a little canyon, quite unspectacular scenery. Couldn´t find a title so I chose one that is very popular on DA.

Abandoned dam near Salzburg (Austria). It was built in 1921 and still holds a little lake behind, at the level where you can see water leaking through the dam.

Surprise Stock is what I call photos I take that aren't really like the rest of the gallery but I still want to post because they are neat.

My sister and I went to the Ecotarium today! It's like a really small zoo/science museum. They had an exhibit about animals from Africa and there were all these really amazing looking creatures so I snapped some photos of the displays. Perhaps this creature can be useful to someone!

He looks so pretty! I wish they had a real one :P

As I put a lot of work into these... I am pretty anxious to see how you like it.

This is made for fun and those who remember the good old days of getting these for Christmas in the 1980's. This can be made and used to place under a small Xmas Tree for a little old school Diorama of an 1980's style Xmas. hehe ;) This is part of a series of cubees i have made for Christmas.

I adjusted the Cubeecraft / Papercraft idea to make mini-scale version of this old Star Wars toy box of the old Y-Wing Fighter. OK I know its not exactly the same as the 'Real' version. This is made just for fun to the good old days! Here is a photo of some of the other Mini Old toy boxes I have done to see what they would look like when put together [link]

And some more of these Old School Toy boxes can be found here [link]

Also there are some more of my Christmas Cubees (including Christmas Tree, Snowmen, Santa, The Grinch, Gingerbread men and more) can be found here [link]

He is a fantastic artist that works some great stuff with lighting and interesting characters. He was generous enough to show us his process in creating a modern style character. Check out the full tutorial here: [link]

SIGN UP for Workshop HERE

I Can Draw Anything Summer Workshop with Instructor Tim Von Rueden

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

In this third run of our popular 2D Digital Art Workshop with CG Cookie we are going to be opening our registration soon! In this summer workshop we focus on strengthening your fundamentals and getting you familiar and confident with working in digital art. I will take an aggressive look with you on addressing how you “see” form and subject matters as well as working to actively develop a “visual eye”. At the end of this workshop you should take away a different perspective on the actual process of creating your pieces and be comfortable in being able to say, “I Can Draw Anything!”

This workshop will include weekly assignments, livestreams, and personal paintovers to give the time and attention each student deserves to further develop their understanding of the material and skill set. Doing the last two workshop results from the past two have been great and it really gives me an insight on how to teach with each artist at whatever skill level they are currently at. You can see previous examples of the growth from week 1 to week 5 HERE.

Some info on who I am: My name is Tim Von Rueden and I am currently the site manager and concept artist for Concept Cookie. I enjoy working with artists on a one on one level because i believe it takes that focus for someone to learn faster and with a more clear path in mind for them to follow. For some of my work and examples you can check them out HERE as well as check out most of the tutorials and exercises done on this site. I have been teaching for 4 years and have learned what methods work to help best progress your skill level to that next step and how to overcome “art hurdles”.
