My second entry for =theluminarium's latest exhibition called "Genesis". Project Genesis is inspired by an old Star Trek movie. The project turns dead and lifeless planets into green earth-like habitats. The population of the main-planet decided to colonize the two neighboring moons and startet a Genesis missile for each. In the process of transformation, everything gets killed. The evacuation is in full progress...

Oookay, after a craptastic disaster a few days ago with Syber Sona Cyber Sona - League of Legends by MagicnaAnavi , I'm back with another sci fi-ish skin, this time its for Cait

i just need to point out that the background is actually matte-painting I did a while back. The only thing that isn't painted tho is the building next to her, everything else is painted. I'm currently trying to find that stock photo I used of that building, maybe if I scream at my PC a bit more, it will take pity on  me and tell me where is it :grump:

So I took the original image and did a few changes to it, such as the image contrast and lighting. I then added the borders and placed in some text.
This is a pretty simple signature banner.

In this image it is Sith Lord Darth Vader commanding the 501st Legion, also known as "Vader's Fist." Hope you enjoy.

So here is the original compared to mine: [link]
Darth Vader mourns the loss of his loved one, Padmé Amidala. The quote is by Anakin when he first awakes after his full transformation to the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. Here is the full dialogue between him and Darth Sidious when he awakes after his medical treatment:

DARTH SIDIOUS hovers around the periphery of a group of MEDICAL DROIDS who are working on ANAKIN. DARTH SIDIOUS paces in the foreground. A DROID approaches the Dark Lord.

MEDICAL DROID: "My Lord, the construction is finished ... he lives."

DARTH SIDIOUS: "Good. Good."

The DROID moves back to the table where DARTH VADER lies. The table begins to move upright. DARTH SIDIOUS moves in next to DARTH VADER.

DARTH SIDIOUS: (continuing) "Lord Vader, can you hear me?"

DARTH VADER, with his dark mask and helmet, moves up into the frame until he is in a CLOSEUP.

DARTH VADER: "Yes, My Master."

DARTH VADER looks around the room.

DARTH VADER: (continuing) "Where is Padme? Is she safe, is she all right?"

DARTH SIDIOUS moves closer to the half machine/half man.

DARTH SIDIOUS: "I'm afraid she died. ... it seems in your anger, you killed her."

A LOW GROAN emanates from Vader's mask. Suddenly everything in the room begins to implode, including some of the DROIDS.

DARTH VADER: "I couldn't have! She was alive! I felt her! She was alive! It's impossible! No!!!"

VADER SCREAMS, breaks his bonds to the table, and steps forward, waving his hands, causing objects to fly around the room. SIDIOUS deflects the objects, but some of the DROIDS aren't so lucky. VADER'S PAINFUL SCREAMS echo throughout the Center.

Anakin and Padme... a tragic love story....
ANYWAYS! MOVING ON! :P

Star Wars: The Force Awakens
(also known as Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens) is an upcoming American epic space opera film[3][4] produced by Walt Disney Pictures, Lucasfilm, and Bad Robot Productions[5][6] and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the seventh film in the Star Wars saga, and is scheduled for release on December 18, 2015.

J. J. Abrams directed the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Lawrence Kasdan, co-writer of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Abrams and Kasdan rewrote the initial script by Michael Arndt, who also wrote the story treatment.[7][8] The film stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o, and Gwendoline Christie, with Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker reprising their roles from previous films. The Force Awakens is set approximately 30 years after Return of the Jedi.[9]

After The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm in 2012, plans for a third Star Wars trilogy were announced. The Force Awakens will be the first film to be made since the acquisition,[4] with Kathleen Kennedy, Abrams, and Abrams' long-time collaborator Bryan Burk producing.[4][5] Star Wars creator George Lucas serves as creative consultant on The Force Awakens and other new Star Wars films.[10] Second-unit filming began in April 2014 in Abu Dhabi and Iceland,[11] with principal photography taking place between May and November 2014 in Abu Dhabi, and Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, England.

Star Wars is an American epic space opera franchise centered on a film series created by George Lucas. The film series, consisting of two trilogies, has spawned an extensive media franchise called the Expanded Universe including books, television series, computer and video games, and comic books. These supplements to the franchise resulted in significant development of the series' fictional universe, keeping the franchise active in the 16-year interim between the two film trilogies. The franchise depicts a galaxy described as far, far away in the distant past, and it commonly portrays Jedi as a representation of good, in conflict with the Sith, their evil counterpart. Their weapon of choice, the lightsaber, is commonly recognized in popular culture. The franchise's storylines contain many themes, with strong influences from philosophy and religion.

The first film in the series was originally released on May 25, 1977, under the title Star Wars, by 20th Century Fox, and became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon, followed by two sequels, released at three-year intervals. Sixteen years after the release of the trilogy's final film, the first in a new prequel trilogy of films was released. The three prequel films were also released at three-year intervals, with the final film of the trilogy released on May 19, 2005. In 2012, The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion and announced that it would produce three new films, with the first film, Star Wars Episode VII, planned for release in 2015.[1] 20th Century Fox still retains the distribution rights to the first two Star Wars trilogies, owning permanent rights for the original film Episode IV: A New Hope, while holding the rights to Episodes IIII, V, and VI until May 2020.[2]

Reactions to the original trilogy were positive, with the last film being considered the weakest, while the prequel trilogy received a more mixed reaction, with most of the praise being for the final film, according to most review aggregator websites. All six of the main films in the series were also nominated for or won Academy Awards. All of the main films have been box office successes, with the overall box office revenue generated by the Star Wars films (including the theatrical Star Wars: The Clone Wars) totalling $4.38 billion,[3] making it the fifth-highest-grossing film series.[4] The success has also led to multiple re-releases in theaters for the series.

Heir to the Jedi is an upcoming novel that will be written by Kevin Hearne. It was intended to be final installment in the Empire and Rebellion series but is now a stand-alone book. The story will take place before the events in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. It is set to be released on February 17, 2015.

I was browsing star wars sites & came across this "The Empire Strikes Back" publicity picture after doing a google reverse image search I found nobody seemed & attempted a conversion before probably due to the only uncropped versions being of low to medium quality. I Straightened the image, enlarged & enhanced then added a new 16:9 background layer based on the original some what; After erasing the old background & merging I enhanced the colour & applied effects.

Started out as a low to Medium quality still or screen capture from the rebel command centre scenes at the end of Star Wars Episode IV (A New Hope). Cleaned, enlarged & enhanced then given a new background & the old removed, some airbrushing & finally after merging several effects were added.
