Yeah.... another one of him. Made myself a wallpaper but the original is big enough it would actually make a cool print...

Sinsir once more, as I said. More about him, if interested: [link]

So.... why does this simple portrait have this title? Because.... Last night I was working on it.... and then Photoshop crashed. I had to see that I did not save my work and so - nothing was there, the picture was lost and I was pretty frustrated and went to bed.

Today I opened photoshop again to finish a commission I am working on..... and guess what happened - it opened my work from last night with all the layers still exisiting - it recovered everything and I basically just had lost the last step!

So yeah, here it is, a portrait shot of Ginger for showing off his face which I happen to like very much.

Now back to photoshop...

DAZ Studio 4 Render with photoshop postwork.

Character sheet for Ginger:thumb330516271: :thumb330845030: :thumb331148650:

This one is about Ginger, my latest character. He was there all the sudden, inside my head and you can bet that you will see / read more about him in the future.

If not interested in those things, you can simply ignore this journal.

GENERAL

:bulletorange: FULL NAME: Sinsir.
:bulletorange: MEANING: Not known. Pretty much no one calls him like that anyways.
:bulletorange: NICKNAME: Ginger.
:bulletorange: ACTUAL AGE: Unknown.
:bulletorange: RESIDENCE: Kedrinh. Even though he is a traveler. So this changes.
:bulletorange: AGE APPEARANCE: Well... ummmm... young man at his best age.

Another work with Sinsir, that stayed unfinished for a bit.... but here it is.

Sinsir is a fire genasi. He can cast a spell where he puts all of his body in flames.... you do not want to be around him when he does.... though this rarely happens. I felt like showing this since it fascinates me. He then is a living torch. Why is he naked? Looks better in the picture... make up your own story for this one then. :P

My credits go to Pewter7 at Renderosity for the wonderful fire resource, which has been the most useful for my project that I could find.

As requested another image of my new vampire character.

Also noticed that my monitor was set wrong, it was to bright and the color was off. It was set to warm making everything to red. I changed it so I hope this didn’t come out to dark or strange colors.

Rendered in Poser Pro 2012.

Did a test with Sub Surface Scattering and Silvan. I just wanted to see what it looked like on a fantasy type characters skin.

Poor thing was a little scared moving to Poser.

Just yesterday I stumbled upon a new photo by ~Torsal and was inspired directly. He is a wonderful photographer and I used this photo [link] as a reference.
Thank you for sharing your art!

Well... I think the title and picture speak for themselves.
Cronachan misses his homeland, the acid lakes and quiet caverns, the fluorescent moss and lichen...
I wanted to show the difference between the bright surface world and the caverns of his homeland...

This was done for the little project of HeilyAens
It is all about showing erotic art that has nothing to do with plain pornography.
So the body is to be seen as a treasure, thus to be explored and discovered. The aim being... showing off a sexy body without showing everything.

I don't know WHAT came to my mind but I went for the more funny aspect... and drew LITERALLY a treasure map.
Unfortunately it doesn't look that good in the digital version, the original looks much better. -_-
EDIT: I changed the file to a better one.

Freehand sketch from a reference, done while waiting at the doctor's, shaded at home. A wee bit of acrylics used for the marks and the hair.
Size roughly 11x17 cm.
Done in the wonderful sketchbook I got as a gift from :icontheminstrelchild:, on slightly structured paper.

No mature content filter for there is nothing offensive to be seen. At least I think so.

=Mavrosh and me talked again about some of our characters... and together we came up with this guy. Well Mainly it was her idea but I sure had some influence.
Zarniah is a tiefling with warm eyes and a friendly character. Look into =Mavrosh's gallery to find more about him or visit this journal [link]

Ballpen sketch from this very morning, digitally coloured without changing the initial sketch.
Textures are my own.

This happens when my muse runs wild while I wait for my tooth extraction and the anaesthetics to kick in...
Well... It was no fun, took two hours and it REALLY hurts. When I lay down it feels like my head explodes... instead I sit at my computer, colouring sketches ;P

This was a commission for :iconmavrosh: and the different color scheme was pretty fun to do! For all those who are interested: this is the "painterly" style I offer. :)

Ok, It is Maglor ))
This picture is an example and for inspiration for the contest "My Alternative Hero” on :iconmoment-of-beauty:"

"My Alternative Hero”
The Contest Task is: to draw any character from J.R.R. Tolkien “The Lord of the Rings”, “The Hobbit” or “The Silmarillion”. We want to see your own vision of a any character you like.

Maglor is the second son of Feanor. He was called The Powerful, I wanted to make an accent on it in my picture.
He is known for his extreme strength, he had deep grey-blue eyes, black hair and muscular body. I painted him in a modern style to show the beauty of his naked bronzed torso :) , he is in leather pants and with a sword, because he is a skillful and passionate warrior, devoted to his father and brothers.

I was cleaning out my Poser folder last night and found my Thiassi model. I made him a few years ago for a competition, and although I made quite a few pics with him, he's been largely abandoned forgotten for the last couple of years. When I found him, I felt a completely unnecessary pang of guilt, but nevertheless decided to resurrect him with better hair and clothes that fit. Hence the title: why have you abandoned me, Deedee?!?!? *rolls eyes*

I did wonder what his story might have been in the meantime. Last time I spotted him he was in the bar with Isca, staring at a barmaid's jugs (of ale)... *giggles*

Now that austerity measures have been lifted, I have upgraded to Carrara 8, and have been merrily rediscovering Carrara's wonders. :)

This was mainly put together to play with Carrara's renderer and the Morchir morphs / textures I got from RDNA recently.

I used a nice specular skin tutorial I found for Carrara, after failing miserably to get the SSS to work. I think it emulates sweaty skin quite well.

I also possibly broke one of my rendering records on this one. Well over 150 test renders went into getting this one right, and this poor bloke has had all sorts of changes, including at one point a pair of batwings...

Well, this is my last pic of this decade, and it's dedicated to *nathie for giving my boys a home at last over on Fantasy Hunks.

 Cheers, m'dear, and a Happy New Year to you all!

On a technical note, I haven't made a pic like this in over 4 years. It's a Poser render over a background picture. Can it be that Deedee's hatred of Poser's renderer is finally at an end....? Tune in next year to find out!

Tene'Bris. I had to see what he would look like in his Mer form. His people did originally come from the sea, so... my head decided that he can shift to water being when it is needed. Yeah, he gets hair underwater too, because, he needs it to float around beautifully :D

Daz- 7 layers of renders
Photoshop to put all together

Found out they are not shutting my net down until the 6th, so... was nice to be able to get in at least one more work before then.

Along the edge of the forest where the gnarled tree's grow together to form a gate, you will find the forest entrance. It is the task of the "Gatekeeper" to protect the forest and it's inhabitants by only allowing a special few to gain access to this mystical place.
