Never. - Germany x Reader: Chapter 3."W-What do you mean, General Beilschmidt?" You were trying to speak without stuttering.
"You did train for six hours yesterday, isn't that right?" He smirked as you let out a small sigh.
"Y-Yes. That is correct." You replied shakily, still a bit afraid that your secret was spoiled.
"Well, another competition, shall we?" He immediately changed the subject, grabbing a pair of earplugs, and began to steady himself at the stand, holding his own handgun in place. He closed one of his gorgeous blue eyes, then turned to look at you as if to ask you if you were ready.
"Sure." You grabbed the gun off of the table, and began to shoot at the board, as you heard him do the same.
After six bullets shot from your handgun on both sides, you removed your earplugs, then turned to look at General Beilschmidt. You stood behind him as he studied your shooting board. You watch him nod his head, satisfied.
"It's been so long since I had a close competition, (L/N)." You looked at his board.

"I still demand the answer to my question," you heard General Beilschmidt say. "When we get out of here safe and sound that is." You grin at his undead confidence.
"I'll even have a competition with you, General." You felt him quicken the pace, his leg still limping a little bit. He didn't talk, motioning for you to go on. "We'll see who survives the longest; pinky promise?" You felt him stop to turn around, rising up his pinky.
You entwine your pinky with his as you began to run off again, in a pace that you knew he could follow even with his wound.
He was strong enough.
He would live. Just as he promised.

You pull him into your embrace as he patted the back of your head again, comfortingly saying that it was alright. You push off your helmet as it reveals your medium-length hair that had grown over the year.
You heard gasps from the crowd of men as you pulled away from your General. "I'm a woman."

You woke up next morning, muscles tensed from yesterday's training and weight lifting competition with your General, whom revealed his last name to be Beilschmidt and nothing else.
Your eyes opened, staring into brown ones; it was one of your roommate as well as the man that you had met on the truck that recruiting day. "It's time for training, the General will punish you if you don't get up!" You tried getting up as you winced in pain. Yesterday was a little overboard to the point where your body couldn't handle it today.
But it would have to get used to it.
You heard the heavy footsteps as men hailed. It could only be General Beilschmidt. His blue eyes landed on you almost immediately as he carefully stepped to your bedside. "What's the matter?" He questioned, his harsh tone never leaving his side.
"I-It's nothing, General Beilschmidt. I will be up right away." General Beilschmidt looked into your eyes for a few mere seconds before returning to the front, facing the group of men.

It was the season of war. And the military was recruiting. It was time for your father's turn. But he didn't want to go. You understand; he was the head of the family and he had his own businesses to attend to.
It wasn't until you were called to the living room by your father did you know what he was planning.
He was planning to send you to war.
Your long (color) hair wavered as you walked through the halls. Servants bowed politely as you continued to walk. The aura was unbelievably scary. It was as if you were going away to die, and never to come back. That farewell kind of feeling where you'll never see anyone again from this large house.
The house was no longer joyful as your mother passed away more than eighteen years ago from giving birth to you. Your father always despised you for that fact, believing that you were the devil who killed his beloved.
"Father, what is it you need?"
"As you know, the military is recruiting. Will you sign up in place of your father?" Your father's han

"Mutti read me a story today of a female soldier and her General falling in love with her unconditionally, having no remorse till' the end and still loving each other until their last breaths..." Your daughter went on and on for another good three minute as you saw the blonde facepalm, walking to the kitchen. "I'll just leave you two now." Your daughter cooed as she ran up to her room upon her cellphone ringing.
You walked to the kitchen to join your husband, sitting on the chair adjacent from him. "How was work? You seem really stresse

Still in the kitchen you said "Your brother is a real pervert, Luddy" and raised an eyebrow, while drying the dishes he washed from the breakfast.
"Ja, you can say so…" Ludwig answered, shaking his head and placing some more wet plates in the sink for you to dry. "Ahm… Ludwig, where do I keep those cups again?" you asked.

How could you possibly say something like this to the person you loved? To the person you didn't saw for 13 years?! You mentally killed yourself in humiliation. Again.
Ludwig stood there, looking wide-eyed at you, as if he didn't believe his eyes. (Name) clutched the notebook closer to her chest as a mischievous breeze tried to snatch the loose papers between its pages, carrying razor like snowflakes with it. Thankfully, her winter jacket was thick enough to not let their icy bite pierce her skin. However, her cheeks were not saved from the merciless pelting. Each snowflake slapped her red skin and met its steamy end as it melted on contact with her body warmth, no matter how slight it was. Her eyes were protected by the sunglasses she wore due to the unusual brightness of the sun. Cheery and golden, its rays glared down at the earth. Yet, the thick mounds of snow on the ground resisted the heated gaze of the massive star, icy crystals glittering in mockery. (Name) was glad her destination was peeking its black shingled roof over the horizon.
With a burst of energy originating from the hope the sight bestowed her, she trudged through the barricades of snow

Once he'd heard that his grandfather's plane had gone missing, he'd stiffened. The hand that held hers had doubled the tightness of its grip. His features were scrunched up in disbelief and a hint of anxiety, brows furrowing and odd icy blue eyes swirling with confusion.

(Name) left Gilbert in the care of his friends and went after Ludwig. She found him leaning against the blue Citroën, shoulders shaking. "I don't vant to talk to him!" Ludwig snapped.

Blurry whites and grays were the first things (Name) saw when she woke. An irritating, continuous beep grated at her eardrums. She reached up and covered her ears. It didn't help very much, but it did muffle the sound enough for her to think about where she was and how she got there. Slowly, she began to remember. The screeching of wheels and the shattering of glass bounced around in her mind.
"(Name)," a raspy voice whispered. "(Name) you're so beautiful..."
The murmur was accompanied by a tingling sensation on her cheek and followed by heartbreaking pleads. A picture of ice blue eyes clouding over and falling shut flashed in her mind. The irritating beep became louder and sharper as her heart tried to burst from her ribcage. Men in white coats and women in blue scrubs seemingly teleported to her room and demanded her to calm down. From the pupil to the optical nerve, she could recite the names and functions of each part of the eye by memory.
Today was no different she had grown tired of revising the eye eternal minutes ago. Her aunt was sitting in that strange, mechanical chair ophthalmologists use while they poke and probe at your eyes. The deep red BMW that pulled to a stop in front of the bench where (Name) sat waiting was a welcome sight. She stood and dusted some snow off of her coat before approaching the vehicle. Gilbert's funny laugh surpassed the confines of the automobile, expressed in a muffled echo to the outside world. Whatever the elder brother said had clearly irritated the passenger, because the door swung open as soon as she came close to it. Nearly knocked over, she grasped onto the edge of the door. Her fingers tingled at the icy sensation of touching freezing metal.
"See, bruder?"Gilbert teased. "You're already knocking her off her feet!"
Ludwig flushed pink and snapped back in German, but it was too fast for (Name) to catch. Although, there was also the fact that she was quite distracted by the sight of her German friend in a snug black trench coat. It was partially opened to reveal an icy blue button up shirt underneath. Neith

It had been two weeks since Ludwig had last come by. (Name) was worried for her newfound friend, but figured that the heavy snowfall wasn't helping him get around. Blackie, his seeing-eye dog, wouldn't be of much help either. Poor thing would freeze in this blasted cold.
Business had been slower, too. Most customers would come in to warm up and cross into the small café her uncle had allowed to rent the spare room. It was a cozy little place that always smelled of coffee and baking bread. Some customers would take the books and read them there, so there was always an assistant lounging near the café door. It's what made Café Nook after the name of her uncle's library, The Book Nook - so infamous. You can eat and read in peace, but are always being watched.

CHAPTER THREE: FINDING THE FINER DETAILS
The journey to the vet became a sort of ordeal for (Name). Her mind was swamped with a tornado of worries: slipping on the ice, not seeing an obstacle that might harm him, and getting lost. Reality proved her doubts wrong. Ludwig's directions were clear and his grip on her shoulder was strong enough to keep them both sturdy. As for any unseen obstructions, the only problem they faced was ice and snow, both easy to detect. None the less, it was a relief to her when they finally arrived at the veterinary clinic.
It was pleasantly warm inside. The desk was behind a half wall to the right of the door while the plastic seats were settled against the wall on the left. Everything was painted in varying shades of green: from the deep forest green of the moldings to the mint green checkered tile. Various pictures of pets dressed in winter clothes hung on the walls. The air smelled of dog food. All

The narrow splash of cement in her front yard that served as parking space was also anticipated. A square, lush green yard was also on her list of expectations. However, one fact had not been mentioned to her. A diminutive, unexpected detail had been left to surprise her.
Dogs – three gigantic ones, to be precise – awaited her beyond the confines of her yard. They prowled the path next to the fence, peeking through the holes, watching her. The waiting room was freezing cold. A handful of people were huddled in a corner like Eskimos round a fire, bundled up with heavy jackets and wool shawls. Another couple were hunched over in their chairs, asleep. All were silent, breathing, and barely existing.

She'll probably leave me for some college fool,
And I know that's just the way it goes.
Ludwig sat on your bed and watched you move around your room, packing up your belongings. College would be starting in less than two weeks for the both of you. He would be at a small university in the town you both grew up in, while you would be going to a school that was at least four hours away. You would be leaving to move in on September 7th.
And that terrified him.
It seemed too soon. The two of you had known each other forever, but had only started dating right before high school graduation. And now you were leaving. And it made him beyond worried to think that you would be so far from him for so long.
You shot him a smile as you continued packing and he automatically returned it, not wanting to ruin your happiness. He was just scared that you would find someone else that you would want to be with. He knew what people said. That he was too

He felt a small pain in his chest as he gently touched the picture with his fingertips. He missed _____. He wanted to see her again. Not some silly photo, but her. He wanted to see her smile at him. He wanted to hold her in his arms again. He wanted to feel her lips again. He

After dinner you felt a little weird but at the same time better than ever! Gilbert had been eyeing you like desert throughout the entire meal which had you fidgeting at the edge of your chair. Only Ludwig's hand holding yours kept you from darting to the other side of the house.
Ludwig took out into the back yard for some fresh air and distance from his brother. You still didn't know what that drink was but you loved it and have had four glasses. Ludwig seems to be eyeing you cautiously which is concerning you.
---------------------------POV CHANGE!!! GERMANY/LUDWIG'S TURN----------------------------
She had had four glasses of beer and I had a feeling she was gonna act VERY drunk soon. Yeah, I am curious as to how she will act when drunk: affectionate, stupid, or angry. Though my bruder, Gilbert, seems determined to do something to her when she is he DID bring her those last two drinks which I have a feeling have been slightly altered.
That's when ____ looks at me with concern

You stayed in your room that whole day curled up in your bed all to yourself. The next day you woke up to an empty house and a note on the fridge:
Antonio and I went to see his parents and tell them of the news. Food in the fridge.
You just glared at the letter before you tore it from the fridge and ripped it to shreds. Hoping she'd be gone for days, you stumbled to the couch and collapsed there, feeling worn and weary. Your face still hurt... you hadn't looked in the mirror and were kinda scared to.
Neverless you stumbled back to your room and into your bathroom and saw what had happened. Almost the whole left side of your face was swollen and bruised. You couldn't believe one simple smack could do this... but yet it had.
And that's when a knock boomed through your house.
Uncertainly you made your way back into the frot of the house and you peeked your head into the living room window. You jumped back and laid on the ground so he wouldn't see you.

Lunch comes all too soon for you and before you know it the two of you are already the talk of the school. This boy, as handsome and sincere as he may seem, is ruining your untouchable, unplayable, and emotionless image that you've had for four years straight! You are thinking of just ditching him until he comes out of the welding shop, SHIRTLESS.
His body glistened in the sunlight from his sweat and you can feel yourself blush and stare in awe. That's when his gleaming blue eyes glance your way and he stops in his tracks, sliding down the towel that was around his neck and down his ripped chest. Your face heats up a little more and you glance away quickly.
Just when you thought your emotions for him couldn't get any more intense you were bested again because he decided to be a sexy German guy. To your relief, when a strong yet gentle hand touched your shoulder Ludwig had a shirt back on. Who even cared if it was tight and gripped in perfect places? At least it gave you a l

You had heard talk about a new student from out of country coming to your school but you didn't think he'd be this handsome. He's tall, nicely built, with a head of beautiful, short, and blond hair that accented those sparkling blue eyes. A guy like this was NEVER your type! But here you are; gawking, staring, scoping, fantasizing. That's when your friend, (name here), came up from behind you and nudged you forward raising their eyebrows mischievously.
"Oo la la! Isn't he a cutey? Even you can't deny it Ms. Stone heart!" they giggled at you making you revert your eyes to a different direction.
"So what? He's cute, I give him that. But just because he has muscles doesn't mean he's strong. He looks like a prep-school drop-out. His parents were pry broke and had to take him out and into public school." you humphed, trying to dissuade yourself more than your friend.
"Lighten up. He's not fond of the idea. Especially the attention. So get on in there and save him. He's just like you! Anti-s

Ludwig walked you up to your door and for a moment you two just looked at each other embarrassed, but pleased, at how the night went. He took an uncertain step towards you and leaned down to kiss your lips when your front door opened and your mom glared at the man whose lips were about to touch yours. You think that now your mom wasn't going to like him and that's when a man appeared from behind your mother; a familiar one.
Your mother's boyfriend is in the house the one you aren't too fond of. Ludwig straightens himself up and you cling to him, glaring at the man behind your mother like a child would. Momma didn't like that.
"Say goodnight to the nice young man and come inside dear." She says flatly. You avert your glare to her and look up to Ludwig kindly.
"I'll see you zhis Friday for zhe beach." Ludwig smiles at you before kissing your forehead and prying away from you and down to his car.
You watch him drive off and then look at your disapproving mother. Not caring you just

We waited outside as ____ changed and when she came out
Gilbert whistled a dropping tone and checked her out which I hit him in the shoulder for. He gave me a devilish smirk as she came to my side, beaming a beautiful smile at me. I smiled back and lightly placed my hand on her round hips.

"Alright eferyone! Let's go to zhe vater!" my dad cheered, leading us all to the sand that was more towards the ocean.
"Thanks for letting me come." ____ smiled at me.
"Oh no problem. Gilbert and I would already be at each other's throats if we didn't have a guest to keep us in line." I smiled back, taking her small hand in mine.

You woke up groggy and with your head thumping. Something cold and wet was then placed on your forehead and you opened your eyes to see Mrs. Beilschmidt putting a washcloth on your head. Trying to sit up she gently brushed your shoulder signaling that you need to lie back down. You didn't argue with the sudden head rush that made you moan.
Ludwig flew around the corner and his blue eyes met yours. For a moment or two he just looked before he curled up next to you. His mom didn't really want him next to you but when you snuggled against him she decided to leave him be for now.
His soft lips brushed your ear and his arms encased you. You brought yourself closer, closed your eyes, and rested your hands around the ones around your waist.
"I'm sorry " he whispered. Mrs. Beilschmidt stood straight, brushed herself off, and walked away.
"It's okay." you wheezed, your lungs hurting.
Geez you thought. I didn't realize they hurt me that much

More yelling in German that lead to more crashing and roaring to the point where Mr. and Mrs. Beilschmidt came running out completely disheveled. There was still a fight going on in there and the two adults collapsed against one another, breathing heavily and shaking their heads when they met your eyes that's when you remembered something you said earlier today to Germany:
"How do I keep you guys in line? Sure I'd pry get between you guys and all but, still "
You looked at the shaking RV and sighed with realization. You walked by the adults who watched you go curiously and you stepped into the vehicle. The brothers were bloody and had each other by the throats. There was barely a gap but you slipped between them and pressed a hand to each of their chest straining against them.
They seemed oblivious to you and get getting closer, crushing you.

There was a gentle touch on your skin before you felt a soft, warm brush on your cheek. Your glossy, (e/c) eyes blinked open to meet those of his. He gave you a soft smile before kissing your cheek and slipping to your ear. Ludwig's breath tickled making you giggle and him smile.
"Guess vhat, Liebling?" Germany whispered seductively.
"Hm?" you replied, tying your arms around him.
"It's my birthday."
At that you were instantly awake. You pulled back to look into his face to see any traces of a joke to only be let down. He wasn't joking.
"What!? Why didn't you tell me sooner!? I didn't get you anything! Oooooh, I'm so terrible! i should've known this!" you moaned, hiding your face in shame. Ludwig only giggled.
"Liebling, I didn't tell you for a reason~ I've got something planned." he smiled sweetly.
"But I should've asked! It should've occurred to me-"
Ludwig put his lips firmly to yours. You exhaled into the kiss, all the worrying and panicking gone by the adured gesture. H

You were sitting in the room Germany had given you, taking in all it's contents. There were the given German flags and framed scenery of the Rein river but one thing caught your eye in particular. In the sit-in window, among a few plush, inviting pillows lay a carefully placed teddy Bear. Why had this teddy bear caught your attention? Well, that's easy!
It wasn't there before.
For a moment or two longer you sat there staring at it before carefully standing up. Your feet carefully moved on the carpet as you advanced the sudden item, your senses on high alert. As you came closer, you could feel your heart in your throat and hear it beat in your ears. Finally you were at the seat and beginning to kneel down when it blinked.
Then it said, "Who're you?"
You shrieked and fell back, scrambling away as fast as you can. The polar white furred bear leaned its fuzzy head to the side and blinked once more. Then it leaned to the opposite side and stared contently.
"Who're you?" it repeated. There w
