"You're not what I'm looking for anymore..." Aang's words echoed through Katara's ears as her face flushed crimson red from the rejection.
She pursed her lips, and bit hard as she thought about what to say, but nothing came to mind. She had put so much into this relationship, her entire life revolved around him. Her best friend, Suki, even tried to warn her about him. Tried to get Katara to date someone new.
Hell, Suki tried desperately to get Katara to hook up with Zuko, some guy who had hit on her at the club. But Katara, even though she had a suspicion that Aang was cheating on her, stayed faithful and turned down the ridiculously attractive man from the club.
Now she was regretting it seriously. Before stood the man, who she thought she was madly in love with. Someone who she thought she would marry and spend the rest of her forever with.
But he didn't want her anymore...
Anger coursed through her veins and flooded her body, who the hell did he th
Scary Movie Secrets"Katara, Zuko's staying over tonight while his parents go out. Why don't you go pick out a movie for you guys to watch?" Kya called to her youngest child from the kitchen where she cooked strenuously on a meal for her family and now the neighbor boy, Zuko.Scary Movie Secrets in Romance More Like This
Her blue eyed baby came bounding in the kitchen, sliding on the linoleum in her socks. Stopping just short of hitting her head on the island, she looked up at her mother, "Why does he havta come over?" she whined pitifully, "He's such a meanie head to me!"
The little girl started jumping up down, emphasizing her point with a stomp of her foot and all Kya could do was laugh at her daughter. "Katay, do not act like that. That boy has done nothing to you. Now hurry up, go pick out a movie."
The five year old opened her mouth to protest, but she quickly shut it when Kya held her hand up, "Go, Katara."
With a final stomp of her little socked foot, she slid out of the kitchen to the living room where they kept all the movies in a large cas
Zutara Week: SeasonsKatara sat at her desk, her pencil furiously swimming over her paper. A poem popped in her head, and she wanted to get it down before it disappeared for good. She bit her lip, encouraging herself to keep it up, to not let anything distract her from getting this on paper.Zutara Week: Seasons in Romance More Like This
But a paper plane floating atop her masterpiece, stopped all thought process. Who the hell thought this was funny? They were probably teasing her again; the damn jocks and cheerleaders. They thought they were so funny... Angrily, she swiped it off her desk with the back of her hand and continued on.
Another one landed elegantly where the last had left. Her eyes narrowed slightly and her lips tightened; why couldn't these people just leave her alone? Blowing it off indignantly, she kept writing. A laugh erupted from behind her and it took all she had not to turn around.
Instead she focused on the paper beneath her pencil.
That didn't last long.
From the corner of her eye, she saw a pair of long, lean, muscul
ReliefKatara watched as her husband's ship docked into port of their kingdom. Seeing him on the bow of the boat sent a flash of relief through her body. He had been gone for far too long for her liking. Him going to other kingdoms always made her nervous. Yes, they were in a time of peace, but there would always, always, be people out there who weren't happy. Who wanted to rebel and hurt those who lead differently.Relief in Romance More Like This
Zuko descended the ramp of the ship and stationed himself on the dock as he waited for the others to join him. Normally it was custom for her to wait on shore until he and the men finish. But the god awful feeling she had been keeping at bay all week was eating at her heart, soul and body.
Without waiting for Zuko, Katara ran down the sandy dunes to the dock, "Zuko!" he turned as her voice carried his name out to him. A huge grin broke out on his face as he caught up the bright eyed girl and swung her around.
His lips brushed against her temple, "Agni, Katara, I missed you

Turning his head in the direction of his girl, Zuko saw his blue eyed princess smiling at him. "As you wish, my love." He chuckled and instead of taking the star, he grabbed her up by her waist and lifted her in the air, toward the top of the tree.
A small giggle tumbled from her luscious lips as she topped the tree with the star- their star- that had brought them together in the first place…
Bringing her down, he kept his arms around his waist as he hugged her tightly from behind. He buried his nose in her wayward chocolate hair and breathed in her scent. Murmuring huskily in her ear, "I love you," he squeezed her and spun her out of his arms.
She giggled again and started to hand him more ornaments to put away. As he reached for a small round golden orb, the light radiating from it, bounced to Katara's blue eyes and in that instant, Zuko was fla
Serenade"I swear to god, Katara, if you don't give me a chance to frickin' talk to you, I will have the school choir start singing again!" Zuko threatened idly, gauging her reaction.Serenade in Romance More Like This
Katara glared at Zuko, vaguely hoping he'd back down and all of this silliness would be over. But she was secretly glad when he glared right back at her, daring her to try him. With a quiet growl deep in her throat, she held her hands up in surrender. "Fine. You have ten minutes,, no more than that to convince me that dating you would be a good idea."
She whipped around, huffing as she went up the stairs to her porch and sat in the swinging bench. Scooting over as far as she could, she crossed her arms and waited for the scarred boy to make his case. He smirked and turned back to the choir, holding his hands up, "Just sit tight, guys. I have a feeling I'll be needing your help to serenade her later."
Katara scoffed and rolled her eyes, "I'm surprised you even know that big a word!"
Zuko's lips twitched up ever so
PrejudiceHe was just as bad as the others. Always had been always will be.Prejudice in Romance More Like This
The others thought he had changed, but Katara knew different. She knew Zuko was just a Fire Nation monster that would destroy everything she had ever loved. That was after all, in their nature.
Don't judge him, they said. He's changed, they persisted. Give him a chance, they begged.
Katara snorted, it'd be a cold day in hell before she forgave a monster like that!
Kicking a rock down the side of the hill and looked over at the people below. Toph and the beast, Zuko, himself. He looked like he was talking to her, healing her feet he had accidentally burned, and he looked contrite.
Suddenly, Toph threw her arms around his neck and Katara immediately brought her water pouch, ready to defeat him, when she realized that Toph was actually hugging him, holding him in an embrace.
Katara's eyebrows pulled down in confusion as she put away her water. She sat on the edge watching the two below her. They were talking but she couldn'

The man looked away, as though unable to look her in the eye, "I'm sorry, ma'am. I cannot. Store policies, I can't lose my job, I have a little sister at home to take care of. I'm sorry."
Gritting her teeth she grabbed her purse and stomped off, making sure to keep herself in check. She had her pride and she wasn't about to let that go as well. What an arrogant bastard. Who did he think he was, turning her down like that? She had her own problems to deal with.
"Miss!" she heard his voice carry to her ears, but she didn't dare turn around. He could rot in hell for all she cared.

What in the world could make her think that this- her dangerous thinking- would be a good idea? This could ruin everything.Potential in Romance More Like This
She had to stop this. Had to stop thinking about him. She couldn't let him take over her mind, not anymore. He was the enemy. He was trying to destroy her best friends and her brother, not to mention the entire world! How could she possibly be attracted to him!
Grabbing her head in frustration, she tugged on her hair. She had to get him out of her head. Now.

Moonlight WalkingBlue eyes. Brown hair. Brown skin. Blue clothes. That's what Iroh saw.Moonlight Walking in Romance More Like This
Swirling ocean eyes. Soft chocolate locks. Sweet coffee skin. Sapphire threads spun like silk. That's what Zuko saw.
The one thing they saw in common?
A girl so beautiful, it put every other female to shame.
"Uncle, who is she?" Zuko spoke with no shame about his admiration for this girl who stood by an older man's side. She was something fierce if her expression was anything to go by.
Iroh smiled at his nephew, the wheels in his head turning rapidly, "That there is Yue, Princess of the Southern Water Tribe. Beside her is her father Chief Hakota. They rule this tribe and are the ones who were kind enough to take us in when our ship crashed." He paused briefly, "If you are to be Fire Lord, you should really consider getting close to them. They could be a really powerful ally in bad times."
He saw his nephew nod his head, but he wondered if the boy was actually listening to him. Zuko's eyes were only on the princess.
