EDIT: Tweaked bio and magic. My Witch is complete! Done in the format of Humikane's Witch profiles. I will add the JFW patch when I think of the name.
Age: 18 (end of 1944) Date of Birth: April 7 Affiliation: Royal Farawayland Air Force 37 Squadron -> 5?? Joint Fighter Wing, Suomus Rank: Flying Officer Height: 160cm Striker Unit: Supermarine Seafire Weapons: Bren light machine gun Mk.1 & Karabiner 98k scoped rifle Familiar: Arctic Fox Magic: Healing (Witch only) (Can repair magical damage, but must utilize the other Witch's magic as well, draining both magical reserves. Loses magic temporarily after healing severe conditions) Archetype: Unnamed Canadian Pilot www.acesofww2.com/Canada/aces/…(long read, but very interesting.) Personal: Aya is a generally friendly girl who usually just goes with the flow, and enjoys both flying and fighting just as much as relaxing on the base. She’s left handed, and is very proud of this fact. She is also prone to nosebleeds, usually due to the cuteness some of her comrades display, or upon witnessing two girls together. She very much has “yuri goggles”, and one of her favourite pastimes while on base is spying on her comrades together through the scope of her favourite rifle, given to her by her new wingmate and closest friend. Aya cherishes her comrades very much, and sees them as extended family. She also acts as the squadron doctor, and sometimes likes to mess with her comrades for fun by assigning absurd treatments.
Backstory: Aya was born in the Farawayland to two Witches of the first Neuroi war, who had used the last of their fading magic to conceive a child. Just as both of her mothers had done in the past, Aya soon discovered her magical abilities, and promptly started training to become a Witch. Her magical ability was healing, but she soon found out that it was much much weaker than the other healing witches’ magic. With the help of one of the instructor Witches, she trained hard and refined her healing ability to become very potent, even being able to heal groups, albeit in smaller amounts. There were drawbacks however; she could now heal ONLY Witches, and doing so took massive amounts of energy.
Soon, Aya was on the frontlines with all of her fellow Witches, being teamed with mainly Liberions, and Britannians. One stormy day at sea, she was part of a convoy on her way to her newest assignment in Hainan when it was ambushed by a swarm of Neuroi. The ship hadn’t seen them coming due to the low visibility, and their radars hadn’t picked them up. Sending an SOS call, Aya and the convoy guard Witches fought hard against the swarm, but took heavy damage, and a few Liberion ships sank. When all hope seemed lost, a little Karlslander Witch burst through the storm clouds, a destroyer following in her wake, guns blazing. Together, the two forces were able to fend off the Neuroi, but Aya took a few hits to her Strikers and passed out as she crash landed onto the Karlsland ship.
Waking up a while later, Aya found herself in the medical bay of the Karlsland ship, with the Karlslander Witch still by her side. She was surprised to find that the little Witch was blind; it had been a result of a recent magic overload. In order to repay her, Aya gathered her magic over the course of a few days on the ship, and was able to grant the girl's sight. From there, the two bonded and spent a few days together before arriving in Gallia. Upon hearing of Aya’s assignment, the Karlslander Witch requested to her Commander that she be permitted to accompany her. The Commander granted this request, and soon enough, the two were off to Hainan.
This Karlslander will be another character of mine, and you will learn more of her later. I tried to incorporate the unnamed pilot's story in Aya's backstory (crash landing and fighting for the Germans).
I know healing magic has been used before, but I just love the concept too much to let it pass. It seems a bit overpowered, so I made it so she can ONLY heal Witches. She can also heal magical damage, such as Raina's blindness, but most drain the other girl's magic as well as her own.
This is the colored version of my drawing of Robin Young, she is an OC I thought of for the Strike Witches universe. She was created for a /tg/ Strike Witches quest.
She and her Striker is based on Robin Olds: [link]
She uses a Springfield M1903 with bayonet and scope, and has power over fire. She also likes to play football, lol. She is 16 years old in 1943. Her familiar is an American Robin, of course! lol
Funny note: I couldn't think of an original name to differ from "Robin Olds" so then I decided to jokingly use my own last name "Young". It took me a bit to realize that it was pretty much the opposite of "Olds", lolol how silly. So it stayed.
