This was a friggin' ball to work on when it came together but man, I fought and fought with this one until I finally nailed down a composition I liked. I LOVE the remake of "The Blob" from the 80's, so I got a few extra giggles placing myself at the scene when rendering this out and imagining these poor bastards getting run down in an aqueduct by a massive ooze.
God, I love my job.

So some old buddies of mine and myself have decided to try and produce a table-top RPG
It's going to be extremely tough to pull off with my kids working me like a 3 legged mule and the (thankfully) booked schedule of commercial work I've got loaded up, but I'm determined to make it happen.
It'll probably take a few years and its been challenging so far but it's already starting to come together.
Some of you may recall that I was trying to get a graphic novel off the ground but that's proven to be kind of impossible for now, so I'm going to bankroll some of the content from that into this game.
Being responisble for all the art - while daunting in itself - is far more feasible at the moment than writing/drawing/producing an entire novel cover to cover by myself.
Besides, gaming with them is really what started this whole journey into commercial fantasy art for me and working with them to create our own has always been the ultimate goal beneath it all; a goal I never thought I'd be able to seriously consider again.
Will it happen?
Who the hell knows.
Chasing dreams is what it's all about, though. If you fail you still learn.
Here's a rough sketch that will eventually be finished and included in the game-book.
Can't give too much away yet but I can release some teasers here and there for anyone who may care.
Thanks for all the interest and notes, I read them all and they mean so much, even moreso when you have kids to share it with.
Got a lotta commercial stuff coming out this year, can't wait to post it.
God bless and take care,

Hey friends and fans! Here's one of dozen of pieces I've done for Naughty Dog's PS3 exclusive, The Last of Us, slated for release on May 7th, 2013 (i urge you to try the game when it's out, you won't regret any $$ spent!). This piece was done mid/late 2010 I believe and I'm happy that I can share it right now.
I've tried to get some detailed environment with copy pastin' method for base sketch. Took couple of textures and photos, mashed them with overlays etc to get the basic concept and composition I had in my head and moved on from there with getting the whole mess into final shape which you can see above.
Neo-Paris 2084, Augmented reality and memory manipulation have taken control of peoples’ lives. You can now digitize, buy, sell or trade your own personal memories. The last remainders of intimacy have been swept away, in what appears to be a simple extension of the development of social networks and geolocation at the beginning of the 21st century. The “surveillance society” has been accepted by the citizens themselves, in exchange for a few technological benefits. It is a reality that no one even thinks of challenging anymore. This memory-based economy gives an immense yet uncontrollable power to a handful of people…
