I've been making my self a lot of desktop backgrounds lately, mainly of photographs of my dolls but today I decided to draw one. And here it is! Pomoooock. I tried to look at this as NOT a typical anime drawing but a technical study of the figure it's self (with a little bit or artistic liberties....I couldn't get the face right.)
I think some things are at totally different angles as I worked on this in a few different places in the house which resulted in the figure never being quite at the right angle. But otherwise I'm happy with this! C=
Heres a little sneak peek of the piece I've been working on... Its a little dark but Ill fix that up properly. Its crazy how many times I have RE DRAWN freaking Chells Face. I cant even remember how many times I have done it. But I am really happy with how its turning out! <3 I also like How GLaDOS is coming along but we will see how much I change up once I finish it...
I have been livestreaming this piece so if you want to watch me finish it or throw out opinions Tell me HERE! And I will live stream! <3
I want to attempt to make this GLaDOS fairly different but still recognizable. I am used to the white hair and normally the hairstyle under 1. I still like that hairstyle but I wanted to draw a few out and see which ones you guys prefer! Personally I prefer the white hair over black.
I don’t want to make a GLaDOS that no one can recognize. I want people to be able to tell that this could be GLaDOS despite the typical yellow and black eyes ;]
Ever wonder who was on the other end of that red phone in GLaDOS's AI chamber? Well now you know.
"Aperture IT support, how can I help you? What do you mean GLaDOS is sentient!?!? She wasn't supposed to be turned on!! Who authorized her to be turned on?!? Oh god, what's that smell? Oh no it's the smell of..."
In 1996, after a decade spent bringing the Disk Operating System parts of GLaDOS to a state of more or less basic functionality, work begins on the Genetic Lifeform component. During that time, the Aperture Science Red Phone plan is implemented in case GLaDOS appears to become sentient and godlike, requiring an employee to sit by a red phone on a desk in GLaDOS chamber's entrance hall.
Not only does the old-school twin-bell ringer work FLAWLESSLY, but the handset is Bluetooth so it interfaces with my cell phone, which also has the old-school twin-bell ringtone! I disabled the phone from sensing when the handset is picked up, and from dialing out or picking up calls due to the Bluetooth handset, I just have the ringer enabled. I love hacking 30 year old electronic technology
