So yeah the next chapter in "All that is Fair Part 1" has been taking some time to complete. I am going to tell you why, it has been taking so frakkin long.
I last updated the story back in December during my last winter break from college. By last I mean that as the last winter break of my undergraduate career. After that I focused on completing my senior thesis. That included completing my experiments and writing up the results, write a grant, and I also prepared three different presentations of my work. This took me to Graduation at the end of May.
I know I should have put my story on Hiatus but I was scared that I would lose some you. I didn't complete drop the story I would work on it here and there. Then I had a little bit of time before my family, friends and fiancee showed up so I reviewed what i had done in those five months. To make it short I didn't like what I had written for

Well it is finals week at my universty in the pacific northwest. The weather is cold but yet no rain or snow has fallen down low. Instead it decided to be bright and the air is kind of gunky looking. It is all rather confusing. But yet I find myself not being able to get into the Christmas spirit at all this year because of the weather.
Plus the heat doesn't seem to be working in the library, so it rather chilly inside. It would not be so bad if I was just studing in the library, but I also work at the library as well. Today I am pulling a double shift.
I would not be so bad if there was snow on the ground, and more of a holiday atmosphere around campus.
Enough ranting back to studying and working.

No the story is not dead. I have just spent the last month and half working on my thesis. Both the paper and the expirement that has gone into the paper, along with the various presentation I had to give with it. With my graduation coming up soon I hope to spend some more time on the story, over the summer.
P.S. Max did a great job. Thanks for all that tireless and thankless work you did to start and build up the PDF archive and gallery. :iconjlryan: Jlryanwill do you proud in mainting yo

Let me tell you when you start to thinking of Zecora dialog, the rhythms just seem to come at you all the time, they come and the go paying no heed to your needs.
That last part was said in a Zecora voice within my head. How about you?
Luna EclipseWow that Luna episode. Not quite the voice I imagine little to high pitched and not as soft as I imagined. Well at lest one of our theories was correct she does seem like a trickster, and she just trying to fit in but a lot has changed in 1000 and she just trying what she remembers to be the norm. But that leaves one question what has she been doing for over a year? Unless the episode are not in chronological order in the airing time line.Luna Eclipse in Personal More Like This
So this episode could in pony universe time it could have taken place right after she came back so ponies could have been still scared of her. But in the past season there is really no proof to support my theory in full. But it would explain a lot of the trouble she had during the celebration one year after her return.
By no means does this take away from the episode. It will be in my top five favorites. Viva the new lunar republic.

It was revealed earlier this month that CNN had in place an “ultimate closing message” in the event of the apocalypse actually arriving (and there being enough time to change the tape). It was footage of a military band playing “Nearer My God to Thee”:
This.... would have been a really crap thing to permanently sign out on.
The BBC obviously thought so, too, as in light of that story they asked their readers/listeners what they would like to hear played across the service, should doomsday occur.
Most responses were musical numbers, such as REM’s “It’s the End of the World as we know it (and I feel fine)” and Queen’s “Don’t stop me now”, but other’s were a little more deranged, such as the final clip of a Warner Bros cartoon, with Porky Pig saying “That’s all folks!”.

There’s not really much I can write about the chap or his impact on sci-fi culture that you’re not already aware of. We all knew and loved him as Spock from Star Trek. Hell, I named one of my webcomic’s characters after him.
Nimoy never forgot about his fans, either, and how it is they who ensured his lasting popularity. It’s telling that it was he who cameoed in the recent Trek films and not Shatner.
Being the awesome man he was, his final words to the public (by way of twitter) were “LLAP”.
“Live Long and Prosper”.

I’m rather irked that anyone would think that, after all this time, I would actually plagiarise anything. Parody for the sake of comedy, sure, but not flat-out copy.
Let me tell you what I know: the creative process grants you access to infinite possibilities. As such, I have never, ever felt the need to copy someone’s work. If I am aware of something that exists, I veer away from it. Partly because it would just feel wrong to steal someone else’s ideas, but mostly because….it’s boring! I get a kick out of devising new things. It’s one of the most enjoyable and satisfying endeavours you can pursue.
Why Borderlands Worked. The original Borderlands is one of my favourite video games, so much so that it inspired me to return to writing futuristic science fiction science fiction, something which I hadn’t done since the 90s. It was a real breath of fresh air after the endless waves of grim, brown, cover-based-shooters and Call of Duty wannabes. Why Borderlands Worked. in Personal More Like This
Having played through both Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel, I’m not entirely sure that either Gearbox or 2K really knew themselves why Borderlands worked, because both additional entries into the canon failed to grab me in the same way.
Here are the reasons why I thought Borderlands was great, and why it’s sequels weren’t.
1: The opening.
There are very few games that set the scene as perfectly as this. In just under 2 minutes, you know everything you need to: Going by that weird dog-thing, Pandora is an alien planet. The crusty looking billboard suggests it’s a frontier world which p

There seem to be two main strategies that emerge at this point of facing the New Year, a “brand new morning.” The lone wolf quietly acknowledges goals not yet reached, and is even more secretive in the “new plan.” “I’ll show them,” becomes the new privat

Steve Jackson (born c. 1953) is an American game designer. After working for many years at Metagaming Concepts designing such games as Ogre and The Fantasy Trip, he left to found Steve Jackson Games (SJ Games) in the early 1980s. He designed many of the games published by SJ Games, such as Car Wars, GURPS, Munchkin and many others.
He is not some super top secret agent or anything. I am sure the guy who made the game had insider knowledge though.
Anyone who studies history or knows how the world works could make this game. But there are a few eerie examples of events drawn on some of the cards,, like the World Trade Center being hit with an airplane, as well as the pentagon being also hit with an airplane, it looks more like a bomb.

For the most part, I think this is a great thing for the creators and our industry. While a few might miff at the thought of comics being intruded upon by other industries, it means more chances for starving artists to make money, more money for commissions and prints, and chances to travel to exotic locations that were never previously on our agenda.
More and more frequently, creators are being lured to shows all over the world with travel costs (at least partially) comped. When they arrive, they'll be met by capable handlers, lines of cheering fans, and fancy parties while they're given the brief whiff of stardom that's usually reserved for Mick Jagger.
But not always.

5 Art Selling TipsWhile I used to see "art sales" simply as bonus money coming in on the side, over the past few years it's become enough of an asset that it justifies an art dealer, record keeping, insurance, and taxes at the end of each year. It's currently 25% of my total income, and that has a lot of impact over my work. And just like storytelling, design and page flow--abstract principles that keep my career afloat daily--art sales also deserve to be studied, theorized, and understood.5 Art Selling Tips in Personal More Like This
These are guidelines, not rules. And while most of them usually work for me, they might not all work for you, so keep in mind that my market might be different than yours. Because not only do we not draw the same, we probably have different sorts of buyers.
1. Don't stay on a book for too long
I find that doing mini series of 4-12 issues is optimal for selling art. If you spend a year doing one-shots or 2-3 issue minis, you'll be hard for buyers to keep track of because it's too infrequent. And it's hard to make an i
