The next generation of computer technology is likely to be based on graphene, a form of graphite (such as found in your yellow number 2 pencil)
Graphene can conduct electicity without notable resistance, which would enable larger, mopre powerful computer chips that do not require external cooling. Currnet computer chip technology has fairly well reached it's limit of expansion without fancy liquid cooling or some other form of special cooling system.
Graphene computers will likely be much smaller, use much less energy, generate far less heat, and be orders of magnitude more powerful... personally I can't wait!
I am very sad to say that I can no longer take the time to thank, say welcome, or otherwise respond to every message and comment... I will try to answer any direct questions, and perhaps reply to a few comments that I feel are creative and interesting. But I have been spending too much time every day on saying "thank you" and "you're welcome" and comments such "nice work"
