This woman is a reflection on my deep fascination with numerous aspects of the Mayan and general mesoamerican culture. Teonanacatl is a meso-american word meaning " god's flesh"...the name for psychoactive mushrooms, particularly psilocybe cubensis, which were held to be sacred and used in shamanistic rites.
