Into her extended yawns
Like daylight gracing
The ceramic curves of teacups,
With purple bruises tarnishing
Their delicate handles
In the fervor to engulf the skin
And not simply hold it.
She is shutting cupboards on her life
And ignoring the skittering tiles
Below her stirring feet,
Rising like plates
Of earth craving to contain
Her quivering heels
And watch the snap of doe legs
Beneath the stress of this apparition.
The morning's white breath
Whispers last night's shame
Into rusting hinges
Folding back their crumbling teeth
To leak apprehension
Between her shoulder blades
And I can hear the shudder of her
Spine when the moon is low.
My mother's whisk spun
Like stars out of orbit
Until the tension released
And comets grazed
The backs of my hands.
I am waiting for someone
To tell me the scars
Resemble a pattern of flight,
Instead of a desperate plunge
Into the throat of darkness.
This Night AwayWe have been drinking fog with chapped lipsThis Night Away in Free Verse More Like This
To feel puddles in our bellies like oceans.
And when you speak I hear waves breaking
Over the grains of your words,
But you swear we are simply raindrops or tears,
Things that have fallen and disappeared.
But when you are sleeping I fill sea shells
With your breathing
And memorize the lines of your face
Like latitudes and longitudes of the world
Because all I need ever possess is your map
To find home between your lips
Parting like day and night to smile.
You Are Almost HomeWe have been filling our distended bellies with too many stars. Too much passion and not enough hope, so careless hands always seem to break us. Leave us with black holes forming beneath our ribcages, licking at the ends of our lungs and hearts. So it's no wonder we always feel a little nauseous, a little unable to breathe like we are drowning in brackish oceans. It's no wonder we forget these words. These shoulder blades, wrists, elbows, cheekbones, jaws. This beauty like the red bend of apples or the insides of bottom lips, peeling away to reveal small, black matchstick legs that will one day ignite like faith. Quieting the dawn's gray murmurs
That coat the back of arid throats.
The palms of dust are gracing my windowsills
And settling like cremated bones in stiff skin.
Bodies that rest in crippled chairs,
Their mouths brimming
with the ashen remains
Of an emaciated night.
Minutes have still not departed from six
And I am beginning to recall
The eye sockets of my father,
With their sunken in hulls
Drowning in black, briny waters
Above cheekbone cliffs of famine.
And it is only in these silent hours
That I mimic hollow bends,
Extinguishing smoldering cherries
Against naïve flesh,
The smoky extract of absence
Rising to the ceiling
Like an overhang of serpents.
I was constructed within this house,
So now my body cannot fit beneath
The heavy legs of doors,
But the walls, they still speak to me.
Delicate words that peel from plaster lips
Until I am reduced
to the frustration of the ribcage
And its inability to
ever answer the heart's knocking plea.

I am trying to catch the voice
Of your fingers turning
Or the soft inhale
Of beauty within your
Freckled, fragile throat.
I would fill you with noise
If you would spend
Every night with me
Here in this silence.
We would wake on
Cold linoleum floors,
My hand cradling
Your neck with its
Soft, fine hairs and I
Would coax prayers from
Your vocal chords
With the order of
Iridescent spider webs.
I would never waste a word
On anyone but you.
I would record your heartbeats
And the muted piano recollection
Of your eyelashes
To play them for you
When loneliness sleeps
Against your telephone ribs.
And my trembling voice
Would permeate the cavities
Of your trembling heart
And I would live within
The hallways of your pupils.
I would fill you with noise
If you would spend
Every night with me
Here in this silence.

The moisture locked within our voids
And weighing us down like heavy sobs
As we exhumed the rigid doe body
From beneath the grave of headlights
And placed it within the sepulchral woods.
We are one less night of sleep
With blood under our heels
And the distant sound of bones cracking
In each other's voices.
I am painting murals on
The marred hide of my body,
Seeking to become an existence
You once knew,
To kiss morning behind the dusk
Of your eyelids and imprint this world
On the tomb of your flesh
Before spring rain can wash spectrums
Down the unspoken hymns of our thighs,
Wavering like particles of light.
The sun has dappled our shoulders
With freckled bruises like fireflies
And you have the complexion of history,
With boundless, black eyes
Whispering laments between
My trembling fingers
And guarding against the muzzle of summer
With its rust stained teeth pressed
Against the nape of your neck
And damp breath down your back.

You float through the vast harmony of Earth,
That you will no longer reach with your stone-cold hands,
Nor see with your dark veiled eyes.
But do not despair, fool,
For those who swallowed your words like honey-wine,
Will remember to follow the trail you left behind,
That same path you were once led into,
Before closing your eyes on the marvels laying upon you.

Laughter covered by a ravaging anguish.
But the dreams, I've seen them from afar,
Therefore I will keep running,

I Don't Believe in LoveI don't believe in love.I Don't Believe in Love in General Fiction More Like This
I can't. I'm incapable.
After everything I've been through there is no possible way I can have affection for anyone, be selfless and completely... not myself.
As a human being, I am programmed to think about myself, feel inclined to talk about myself, look at myself, judge myself, want to hear things said about me, and listen to myself.
I'm a selfish animal.
And I'm impossible to change.
Because, as a human being, I veer away from change. I'm afraid of it. I like the way things are. And I'm afraid that if they change, I won't like it. I'm also afraid that I will. And if I like the way things change, then I will be prone to change. And I don't want to. Because staying the same is a constant that I can live with.
So instead of setting myself up for failure in a subject I don't exactly want to immerse myself into, I've decided to forget about love; I don't believe in any of it. At all. I don't even believe in liking someone without the pursuit of personal gain.

For the single banner is what I seek
My face reflected in the sweat and swell
Hungry faces trip on insects biting feet
And now I wish I had chosen a place
For at least I could have moved on into silence
And faced what I had to face
SoundSound in Free Verse More Like This
Something against the sky -
a kestrel wing
drifting godward -
the circle of sound
dents the morning
and turns my ears
second guessing the weight of
and how your breath
measures the morning light.
FishermenFishermen in Free Verse More Like This
from tiny boats,
sampans and coracles -
red sails threading the sky
like poppies in the autumn sun.
Whales slip through waves
hunting silvered krill
and the spiny dusk
of urchins clinging to the sand.
And they wait
for lines to pull
their hands under
glistening with eel
hauling the afternoon
back to market
in hempen nets.
Teenage OrgasmThe world ended todayTeenage Orgasm in Free Verse More Like This
In a pool of your blood
With a knife in my hand
That brought forth this flood
Of emotion and pain
Both yours and mine
Well mostly yours
But with that I'm fine
I touched your face
Was this a sin
Did we get it wrong
Does an angel dance
To the devil's song
Of all you've lost
Of what I've won
Of the infinite need
This end's begun
PenetrationYou're tremblingPenetration in Free Verse More Like This
Perhaps just a naked chill
My eyes consume you
Savoring every morsel
As if each were my last
The space between vanishes
Until your breath is mine
To all I shall take
Borders of flesh fall
Crumbling beneath my will
To be thrown upon the fire
You gasp for air
Until lips so gentle part
If only to beg my ingress
A Comet Called LoveThe stars came out one nightA Comet Called Love in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
Like every night before
When a twinkle caught my eye
Of a light I couldn't ignore
For days, then weeks, then months
The light was always there
Growing brighter every night
Till seen from everywhere
Like the fire in my heart
It burned across the sky
I thought forever more
Nevermore would I cry
But the light began to dim
The flames began to cool
Till left in dark of night
I stood there like a fool
Through tears like falling stars
I looked to heaven above
To see the endless fade
Of a comet I called love
Suicide LipsOne kiss from youSuicide Lips in Free Verse More Like This
My wish to die
No reason left
For me to try
To live the life
I knew before
When with each breath
I'd long for more
Of all that I
Will never know
When parting lips
Said you must go
And not return
Again to me
Thus all my hopes
Will always be
So lost within
Those lips so red
For in that kiss
I am now dead
Sadistic HappinessOh, I am in love with happiness,Sadistic Happiness in Urban & Spoken Word More Like This
Besotted with the highs,
Brought out of my long stupor,
Impenetrable from all the lies.
A breath of intoxicating fumes,
Laughing gas, things that can not move,
But they do, oh they do.
They swarm - they merge inside,
Oh, how I feel like I could never die,
Raised up, but still touching the ground.
My body is air,
As if my soul is floating around.
I could leap and I would fly,
I would fly beyond the sky.
Like a caress to my soul,
Such sweet forbidden bliss,
Adrenaline seething through veins,
Transporting the catalyst.
Such a surge of power,
An almost sadistic feeling.
I know this is what it is like to be Alive,
And this I will not be leaving.
Bordering on insanity,
But they can't put me away.
For I am invincible,
I am meant to stay.
The Awakening of Miss HydeIt is the most eccentric part of my life. -The Awakening of Miss Hyde in Free Verse More Like This
When the darkness that resides in my soul,
stretches its limbs and snatches control.
Gone are all pretences of innocence,
replaced by this sadistic resemblance.
Refined tolerance is what I require,
for I can no longer detain this ire.
Enclosed by wilts of the heart,
those creatures whom threaten to tear me apart.
For this enmity can't be encaged,
you fiends that rupture my rage.
My eyes may deceive,
but are you really that naive?
I doubt you would know a thing on trust,
blowing it around as your minds' see it as mere dust.
While mine knows the dangerous it presents,
considering I am what that hazardous represents.
I'll lacerate you pigment by pigment with my bare teeth,
then I'll watch your remains rot beneath.
- All this is the inception of my sweet strife.
It is the most eccentric part of my life. -
The Grim EvolutionThe Grim Evolution in Free Verse More Like This
It is I in a sombre mood when the birds come dancing,
dancing and prancing, while the glitters of those are encased.
Their melodic feathers are glaciers, dangers, and woes.
And their songs of pleasantries drive the insanity in vain.
The Sapiens are glancing and enhancing the tales,
whispering and glistening these creatures of pain
but no body is taken and all the souls are awaken'
for these treacherous fiends have drawn the horrors to stay.
More is the fear of all those shaken and many alike,
forgotten the faithful's claims "No sorry been jest,
hail 'n' we will let the rest," but no courter or jester
can lessen the screams all we are are is less than our schemes.
Wander and ponder with a day but a dream
and we'll follow you through as malice is our key.
We'll follow you home, we'll follow you free,
you better watch your step or better yet..me.
Glory in darkness, we will thrill off your despair.
Oh swallow your sorrows, pity is hollow
lest we think you unworthy,
sacrifice your fear.
