Finally had a chance to meet and work with the awesome *yayacosplay!
She is probably one of the most professional cosplayer I ever worked with. The poses, attitude, costume, and of course a very friendly person to work with too!

Though due to a very limited time (from her tight schedule) to pull her out for a mini-shoot from the convention, I really appreciate and honored to get this chance to work with her!

Truly hope to have a chance to do a proper photoshoot with her in future! :D

Eeeeeh! I am so excited about the sharing the images from the photoshoot I recently did with Bryan Humphrey! More coming soon!

Character: Catwoman from Arkham City (video game)
Costume made by: Yaya
Model: Yaya
Photography: Bryan Humphrey

How I made this:
This costume was made in 50 hours, but only takes 5 minutes to put on lol. To match the hexagon fabric in the video game, I had the pattern designed by my friend Jinyo and printed up at Fabric On Demand. The secondary fabric is a rubber coated spandex.
Cathy of :icongstqfashions: saved me hours of work by graciously letting me base my bodysuit off of the pattern she had made already for this same costume for a customer. I had to redesign most pieces of the pattern to fit my bodyshape and height, but it was nice to not have to make a full mock-up from scratch, and with my tight work schedule, I appreciated every second of time saved.
I sewed the costume entirely myself, as usual, making sure to triple-stitch the seams (100+ of them) and also top stitch all of them. I also made the matching accessories such as gloves/hood/ears/sculpted metal bits/altered boots etc.
I re-used the goggles from my other Catwoman costume because I kind of hate the design of the Arkham City goggles, and I already made perfectly usable Catwoman goggles before. :)

This is my favorite setting from the Catwoman photoshoot I did with Bryan Humphrey! After shooting outside for a couple of hours we moved to inside this decrepit warehouse space. I have no clue how Bryan lit this space but it really looks like a comic book to me.
Also, full-body shot of the costume! Wish my boot straps weren't slipping down :(

This was the last photo we took at 3am, after 4 hours of photo shooting. I only realized the next day that this photo's posing resembled the official Arkham City promo artwork for Catwoman. Bryan did some post-processing to give the photo a similar treatment as the promo art and this is the result! I am so thrilled over this image! As a cosplayer, I enjoy the challenge of imitating a fantastical fictional character, and photographs like this reflects the hard work I put into the costume and my love for the character, as well as the photographer's finesse. I couldn't ask for more joy in Cosplay.

Looooove this pictuuuuuuure! Me & Yaya after a long day of shooting were crazy people and decided to shoot some more! We'd both had Adam Hughes Ivy & Catwoman costumes we'd wanted to wear together and we finally got a chance, so we and a bunch of friends trooped to this awesome location by my apartment to take pictures. Thank you Judy, Leonard, Adam and Cole for coming along with us and taking pictures! <33

AHHHHH so happy to finally do Selina!!! She's one of my absolute favorite comic book gals, I've basically wanted to be her since I was a little girl.

My costume is based on the Kotobukiya Bishojou statue! Made my body suit out of 4 way stretch vinyl, made my belt, my gloves, painted and sharpened nails to put on my gloves to look more cat like, made my hood which I topstiched and my boots, and bought a pair of goggles which I added model magic to to create the little cat ears! I'm so happy with how this entire costume turned out, and that I finally made catwoman! Now that I have the body suit I'm definitely going to do more versions of her~

Well, this how we visited Halloween-Fest 2012, we also were the co-managers and showmen of this event, so it meant a lot for us.

Poison Ivy and Two Face
Well, it's a very evil couple I think ^__^

It's another convention photo and I just had to make a picture with sexy Hideki cosplaying Two Face as I was responsible for his make-up and wig.
Actually this make-up was a torture for both of us, because there was really hot and he could not spent even 10 minutes without having to correct his make-up.
So it's an exclusive shot though actually his make-up was already ruined by heat =__=
NEVER again I'll use snazaroo wax for make-up...

Never the less I think Hideki is an amazing TwoFace

My costume was based on an amasing art by Alex Garner :iconalexgarner: [link]
I've seen millions of Ivy's costumes and I loved this one most of all.

Catwoman, "Batman Returns"

Also watch the video from the stage! (watch in HD)

This is a convention photo of my new costume. It's not the best one, so waiting for the photoshoot ) And still need some things to be done or improved, I hate these boots ><
I always loved Catwoman played by Michelle Pfeiffer. For me it's the best Catwoman even better than the comics one. I love the costume, the character and the movie itself. So just could not help cosplaying it )) Moreover I'm a huge cat-lover. I know that my face have nothing in common with Michelle's, but I'll try to bring the whole image of the character.
Well, I had so much fun wearing this costume during the con. I also had the First Prize for it and that was totally unexpected, but really great! Because I fully dedicated this cosplay to my black cat Murka. Just when I started making it we also had to start her treatment.
Unfortunatelly we learned that she has cancer and just befor the convention she had her first chemo. So this small win was a good sign for me. Now Murka is recovering after the second surgery and I'm very hopeful about the final results!
So now you see why this costume is so symbolical for me =)
I want to thank all the people who helps and cheers me up!

My Marvel Bishoujo Black Widow Kotobukiya Cosplay [link] I made just in time for San Diego Comic con. This was made in about a week. (The original is a gold belt in the comics, but I decided to do this version since it was harder, I tend to like a challenge)

The process was quite a stressful one since I been working on and off with the idea of doing a Black Widow cosplay for quite some time (about 2 years) but looking for the right materials for the bracelets and belt took the longest to figure out. So I just went ahead and made the belt myself using good ol' bondo/plaster, 3 kinds of sanding grits, a couple of hours to mold each piece on carved (also sanded) wood, spray paint etc etc, I'll be putting up the process on my site [link] soon for those who are curious :)

As for the gun its a HK replica airsoft that I own

makeup/wig haircut: Me

This was taken at the Kotobukiya (Japanese Figures/toys) Area in SDCC :) By: John Yang during the convention.

Thanks for coming by :3
