Revision of some old fantasy portrait I did almost 2 years ago. :thumb188861691: I decided to paint him older and more opulent, after years of war and plunder. I think my technique is evolving and I´m proud of it.
This is a friend´s portrait a promised him long time ago. I started this portrait, like a year ago but I quit because I didn´t have the technique enough to finish it with the quality I was trying to reach. This past summer I decided to restart again but I didn´t have enough time to paint it in one time. I was coming back to it at my free time and not very often( I have to admit) but finally I finished.
This image was a present for a work colleague who asked me for an image to use as avatar. What started as a quick painting ended in a high res image with a good amount of hours of work on it. What can I say? I'm a good colleague.
The image was done in the middle January of this year. A month later or so, I march I watched the first episode of Vikings and I couldn't stop thinking about the similarity between this character and the main character of the series. The funny part is that my main inspiration for the look of the guy was the internet infamous Techno Viking, Lol!
I used as reference this image from Check his stock is amazing.
Just guessing what's under that hood. Since Red Wizards are supposed to have tattooed/bald heads and all... so... one more version of Edwin Odesseiron of Baldur's Gate. Because, um... the Portrait Pack! Yeah, that's totally a legitimate excuse to paint him. I've just been working on making changes for these portraits that no one will even be able to notice in those tiny little bitmaps. Expect an update soon!!
contributed her wonderful design skills and created a tattoo to grace our dear Thayvian's skull (upon my insistence xD). thanks, sweetie!! <3 and some of you may recognize the chest tattoo heheh...
