I researched Harpies and I decided to take it in a much lighter direction as I may do with all of these. I took the Harpy Basis (taloned feet, bird wings/arms) and used a Macaw as the base bird for her.
I don't know if all of them will be colored as fully as this one was, but I tell ya, after a long time of not REALLY coloring anything, this was hard hahaha.
A drawing of #TheMermaidsClub mascot for a contest that's going on now. Since i couldn't think of an interesting idea for a background i just left itsimple. You may have to fullview it to see all the details.
I actually started on this piece a while ago but went ahead and finished the shading today so that i could go ahead and submit it.
Commission done for ~MercenaryX. Now that Rhea is a mermaid she decides to go on a shopping trip with her mother and Lucky. Kyra is adjusting Rheas' breast, much to her surprise, as she asks Lucky and the sales mermaid Gigi if they think the top she's wearing looks good. Lucky is highly embarrassed and tries to look away but it's too late. He's already gotten an eyeful. Gigi is super excited to be helping Rhea find new tops and holds out one she thinks would look good on the young mermaid.
Rhea and Lucky are characters from my comic Moon Reflected in Water [link] while Kyra and a younger version of Lucky can be found in Tsubomi Blue Dreams [link] . Gigi is a side character from my Lunar Lotus Festival Dating Sim [link]
Commission done for ~MercenaryX. He wanted a picture of Rhea transformed into a mermaid while Lucky is teaching her how to swim for the first time in front of his brother Telos' house. This is the first commission I've done with my own characters so it was a fun experience. Work goes a lot faster when you're familiar with the characters you have to draw.^^

A character for my work-in-progress project "Freakish". I've been working on her character design for a loooooooooong time and FINALLY found something that I love! Seriously, she has taken years to figure out. It always feels so good when I can finally say "that's her" and call her a solid design (not just her appearance but her personality and role in the project as well).
OH MY GOSH THE END OF THE SEMESTER IS WEDNESDAY AND THEN I AM FINALLY FREEEEEEE FOR A FEW MONTHS!!! Well, back to my Finals projects! These shackles-of-schoolwork aren't off my wrists just yet.
*View at maximum size, please. I looooove how these turned out. They make me so happy!
This is the last assignment concerning Moses/Sparky. I took this class ("Entertainment Illustration", although I took it as an Independant Study) from who has made it into the Top 5 of My List of Most Helpful Art Instructors Ever, so if anyone at BYU-Idaho gets the chance, TAKE HIS CLASSES! He is also who I took Creative Perspective from.
