The boy crouched on the edge of the cliff overlooking the sea, he couldn't have been over thirteen or 5 foot 3 as he stared down over the edge to the rocks below with green eyes, tan cargo shorts and a navy blue t-shirt made up his attire. A tiny forest bordered the cliff behind him as two people, obviously his friends make their way through this forest to him...
"Max!" the older of the boys called to the boy on the cliff...
I sigh and look back at Kyle, his black hair moving just enough to see him standing a few feet behind him.
"What?" I asked causualy.
"Why'd you leave?" Jake asks, stuffing his hands into his baggy jeans, he was 6 feet tall and had spiky brown hair and a scar that ran just under his left eye, which was blue. He had taken off his shirt, reavealing the sweaty muscles underneath.

Daydreams - A Dragon Transformation Story Fall had come in full force, a brutal onslaught of wet and cold weather. Derek had been enjoying it, as the cold weather had given him an excuse to stay indoors and play with his new computer. Today was different though. It was one of those late fall days that made him long for summer again, where the sun shone its warmth upon the world and lit it up with brilliant color. The little things added up fast: the bus to school came on time and he got to see the sun rise over the farm fields near his home. There was no wait for the train and he managed to get a seat, and actually get some rest there.Daydreams - A Dragon Transformation Story in Short Stories More Like This

He stared at the paper in disbelief, his cold blue eyes scanning it over, looking for where he had went wrong. He grimaced slightly, then changed his expression back to neutral, looking up at his English teacher who was sitting at a large brown desk, writing on something with a bright red pen.
The class bell rang, and students shouted with excitement, milling around him and exiting the classroom. He stayed seated, until only he and the teacher were left in the room.
He stood up and threw his bag over his shoulders, grunting slightly at the weight of text books and homework inside of it. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary though. He walked over to the teacher's desk and stopped, staring at the teacher.
The teacher slowly looked up, his expression changing to a weak, utterly fake smile.
"Sam. What's up?"
He decided to be frank. "Why did I get a 55 on this paper?" He dropped the paper on the desk, with a bit too much force, betraying his frustration.

Nick stared blankly at his computer screen. It had been days since he'd had any sort of inspiration for his songwriting and he just felt completely bummed out. His online friends had tried to make him feel better, but all in all it seemed nothing would help. He just needed some sort of inspiration to break him out of this slump.
After an hour of browsing around FA and DA and his other social networks and coming up with nothing, he leaned back in his chair and let the chat messages flood in. Someone started going on about their problems again, and he began to tune it out. He turned on some music to help himself relax and ran his hands slowly down the keyboard.
Maybe I'll write a story, he thought. That'll give me a break from writing music and I could actually come up with something good.
He opened his writing program and watched the cursor blink for what felt like an eternity, trying to come up with an idea. Then his instant mess

She looked out across the forest and shivered. In front of her was a large, mossy rock; the same rock she had walked passed half an hour ago. She groaned and looked down at her feet as she tried not to worry. But she was lost, hungry and tired. And she was lost. The voices in her head kept telling her so.
She sighed and ran a hand across the rock, feeling its fuzzy green coat as she kicked at a rock on the ground. It skipped and skittered away from her, disappearing under some trees. Then she yelled about how unfair it was.
She could feel herself slipping; her grip on reality fading. She couldn't let it slide, because she knew what would happen when she did. She knew the others in her mind too well.
She sat down in the dry dirt under the rock, holding her head in her hands. She'd had to deal with them for ever. Yet, she was still afraid. She was always afraid of what would happen when they took over.

I'd seen him before.
At first I was afraid of what I'd seen. I was seven. I could not see his face, for the sun had set and shadows surrounded me as I walked along the edge of the forest. I only saw his eyes: glowing red, staring at me through the darkness. But by the time I had acted upon my childish curiosity and walked over to where the eyes were, he was gone, disappeared into the shadows of nightfall.
It made me nervous. I wanted to know what it was I had seen in the forest. So my mind made up possibilities. I had dreams. They were intense dreams, violent dreams. I would awaken pumping with adrenalin, wanting more but never remembering what I had seen or done. And of course, there were the nightmares. In those, the eyes would haunt me, follow me, watching, always watching.
After a few weeks, sometimes months, the dreams would stop coming. Then, I would see his eyes again and the entire cycle would start over.
Eventually, I came to my senses and told my par

I stepped out of the airport and into the cool Toronto air. The day was bright and the sky was clear. A light snow had fallen the night before, patches of it covering the grass around the airport. I towed my bad along grumbling as the wheel jumped over gravel and sidewalk salt. The flight hadn't been bad compared to normal (I occasionally get flight sick) but I still felt worn out from it. At least I had a few hours of downtime before everyone else showed up.
I had no idea how this would work; I knew that in one place or another, all of the friends that I was meeting with chatted. But I was afraid that there'd be arguments or something. Regardless, they all knew what they were getting into and I was really happy that I was finally getting to meet them, and spend a week with most of them.
The fact that it had worked out in the first place was complete luck. Everyone was off of school at this time

See, a few days ago, my parents had broken to me that we were moving. Like many families with a moderately low income, they could no longer afford to live in the nice part of the suburbs and opportunity for work had struck up elsewhere. So naturally, like any good parents wanting to provide for their kids, they leaped on the positions which paid better but required moving farther inland. They would be starting work in two days.
Tonight was my last day here and it really made me sad. Being summer, most of my friends were out of town so I would not even get to say goodbye before leaving forever; or, as my parents put it, "leaving temporarily". Both my sister

Her name was Jessica. She was 15 years old. Me and her were great friends. When I was all alone at a park, just by myself one day, Jessica came over and she played with me. Played catch, played on the swings. A lot of fun stuff, and we became friends from that point on. Then one day she was turned into a dragoness. I didn't believe it until I saw her 8 weeks ago.
It has been almost 2 weeks since she was killed. So idiots came into the school, set the room on fire, came into the room and shot her. And I saw it all happen. I wanted to forget it but I just couldn't. It kept coming back into my head and it be screaming at me saying : "YOU SHOULD OF HELPED HER!". I would if I could. What could I have done? I had plenty of time before Kyle was coming over. So, I just got out my Nintendo Gamecube that my uncle gave me for my 13 birthday and started playing some video games. My favorite was 'Call of Duty' 1 and 2. I had already beaten them at least 5 times. But I was trying to see how long it would take me to complete the whole game. So I played the first 'Call of Duty' first.
A couple hours went by. Went I looked at the clock it said 12:45. I had 15 minutes before 1 o'clock.
"I better wrap this up. Just the last of this board and done the game."
I was almost finished with the end of the last board when a snipper got me while I was crossing the bridge and died for the first time in the whole game.
"S***!! How did I miss that guy!!", and I covered my mouth after I said that. But no one was around so I just took my hand off my mouth and I put the game away.

Phil couldn't believe his luck when he stumbled into the deep cavern full of gleaming gold and shining silver. A few days ago he had heard from a few sources that a mountain range a few miles away from where Phil lived was home to a gigantic treasure, but from what he had heard, the treasure was cursed no one who tried to claim it for their own had ever returned from the place. Even the world's best tomb raiders had disappeared without a trace when they tried to find the treasure.
"Oh man, look at this stuff!" He grinned from ear to ear, looking at the giant treasure hoard. "With this much stuff I'll be set for the rest of my life!" He dove toward it, grabbing loads of coins, pendants and gemstones in his hands, beginning to pile them into the backpack that he had brought with him for the sole purpose of taking as much of it as he could in one go. "It might take me a couple trips back to this place, but I'll leave this cave with every last coin!"

I had never seen so many lights in my entire life; this was truly amazing! My monkey friend Sirge had asked me to come and hang out with him on Chinese New Years. I had never seen Chinatown so alive before, with so many lights and so many colors. Various lanterns were spread out across the vistas, and many performers were on the street doing their best to entertain the gathering crowds. It was truly a sight to behold! Sirge and I made our way to the middle of the fairgrounds. As we made our way down there, I noticed many people stopping to shake Sirge's hand or take pictures.
I scratched at my head out of confusion, as I had no clue to how Sirge had become so popular. "Hey, why are you so popular around here, monkey?" The monkey chuckled as he looked at me. "It's because I greatly resemble the Monkey King from a famous Chinese novel named "Journey to the West". It was a fairly busy afternoon at the Westin hotel. Hundreds upon thousands of people had turned up for this year’s Anthrocon, and as a result, there were little to no rooms to spare for people who weren’t part of the event. Thankfully for two of the people involved, they had a room sorted.
Phil and his friend Dave had spent most of the morning checking out some of the artist events and other events at the convention, deciding to take a break for lunch. The two of them had met through the website Furaffinity, under the names of HG3300 and Rooth, and had struck up a friendship fairly quickly. It was due to this that they were able to arrange travel plans to the convention, as well as being able to share a room together.
“Well, so far so good!” Phil said as he sat down in the hotel lobby, looking over some of the things he had bought so far. “I haven’t even made a large enough dent in my wallet yet, how about you?”

Chapter 1: Mysterious Beverages
It was around 2 a.m. and everyone had gone to bed except Lee. He was a true deviantArt fanatic and was on the site as much as possible. It was hard at first though since he had to keep his account secret for the first couple of weeks until his parents found out.
Suddenly, Lee heard a familiar sound, a rattling metal fence. He let it go assuming it was a cat; being that there were many felines in the area. Around 30 seconds later he heard it again, going the other way! Lee knew something was up and, knowing he was the only one who heard it, went to the back door to have a look. He knew he was the only one who had heard it due to his acute hearing which he assumed came from being half blind in one eye with an astigmatism.
Upon flipping on the porch light, Lee saw a case of Coke(the soda). He thought it odd that the company delivered the drinks to his home, especially at 2 in the morning. There was something odd about them though: the bottl

3 days after Lee had sent the telegram, the group was still in their bunker, waiting for their deaths. The food stock was running low and Skyler and Juan were cursing Lees decision to leave most of the food at the mall. The destruction outside sounded some ways off and Julian brushed the dirt off a window to have a look. Once he could see, he called the others to the window. They could see the tremendous forms of Wyraach Ur and Cynder about a mile in the distance. It made Peters blood boil to see the damage they were doing. Ooh how I wish I still had my powers! he cursed.
If you still had them, Skyler said, we wouldnt be in this mess.
Wed still be at home if Lee hadnt demanded we come here! Juan yelled.
So now its my fault is it?

When he looked outside, Lee saw the destruction. Apart from his house, the neighborhood was leveled. Lee stepped out the door (despite his mother yelling for him to come back) and surveyed it all. There was nothing left. Even the foundations of the houses were gone! He then walked farther out to view the damages to his own home. There wasnt much, a few broken roof tiles but nothing Lee or his dad couldnt fix. Lee, get in this house! his dad demanded.
Dont worry, theres nothing out here.
You mean that the storm is gone?
No, literally. Theres no storm, no houses, no nothing.
They all clamored to get outside. Once they could see, they stared, wide-eyed, at the destruction and chaos that surrounded them. Meanwhile, Lee had busied himself with cleaning off the roof. It was tedious work since every little crack was a potential problem. Once she could speak, Lees mom ca

Lee had a cup of coffee and showed off the maneuverability of his tail by holding the cup with it. (If you are a dragon and want to show off just use your tail to manipulate things, it amazes humans.) After the coffee break they followed him outside having only an idea of what he was about to do. Lee began the demonstration by burning down the grass of the unoccupied house next door. He climbed atop the house and, having only flown thrice, lept onlt to spread his wings at the last possible second. This caused his mother to faint. While I'm honoured that you'd like to read my works, I regrettably have to inform you that this story has been discontinued after eight chapters and a sidestory merge. There won't be any more chapters in this story, sadly.
I am however working on a new project that will hopefully outshine this old gal - it's going to be released some time in the future, and I hope you'll be there to read that was well.
If you can deal with this story ending abruptly with no end in sight, then by all means read on, and dream.
People dream. It's natural. Daydreams you usually control and you can make them whatever you want. Sometimes they get forgotten, sometimes they spring back to life after a long time, or just a heartbeat. Sometimes, they come true.
Last year, I stayed home from school two days because of stomach pains. My mother thought it was some kind of odd flu, mainly because she had it t

I turned back into the car, assessing the situation. If he had sustained damage, there was no knowing what additional injury we might cause by moving him around too much, but leaving him in the rover wasn't really an option either. He didn't have an

Judging by his difficulty with speech, he had had either little to none contact with people, or been out of touch for a very long time. Most of the time I had spoken to him, all I’d gotten as a reply was a confused look and a faint hum every now and then.

It was mid-semester, somewhere around July or August when it happened. It was in the evening, almost dark, in fact. I remember being out after dinner for a stroll in the park, and I distinctly remember that I was out to try and clear my head from the stress of trying to keep up with studies, duties to the student council and trying to improve my choir.
These few things were seriously beginning to take its toll on me, and the stress was really driving me to the point where I almost took my own life on two separate occasions.
Not really wanting to go to the more crowded areas of the park, lest I get distracted by having to attempt to dodge a soccer ball, basketball, or generally whatever ball that was headed to my face at speeds that could probably knock me out cold u
The Spring“Man, this is boring.” Daniel muttered, tugging at his backpack straps and adjusting it a little. The forest trail that he was walking along bore no point of particular interest, apart from the thousands of trees and other samples of greenery that smothered his view. He could’ve been at home now, playing video games or maybe taking a stab at some of his art, but nooo, he was out here hiking along some stupid trail because his parents thought it would’ve been a good idea to drag him out for some fresh air.The Spring in Short Stories More Like This
The trail along the mountainside was, apart from being very boring, also damp and muddy, for it had rained the night before, softening the ground below him and reducing it to a brownish mulch that would probably stain his clothes, were he to fall. Trailing his parent’s careful steps along the path, he sighed again, looking to the sky for some sort of divine intervention that would save him from the torment of boredom.
The hike trailed out far and long, up
The ClearingThere was silence. An unusual marvel, given the world today, and it was scary. As I plodded through the forest, I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread, with nothing but thick foliage surrounding me in an attempt to garner my unconditional surrender. The Clearing in Short Stories More Like This
Still I pushed on, ploughing my way through, keeping my thoughts from straying into the speculation of what was lying amongst or behind the trees around me, for fear of losing my sanity. I don't know how long I've been doing this for, aimlessly wandering through the trees. I had no idea how long it'd been so far, though it seemed like an eternity. Yet, the sun had barely moved an inch from the last time I saw it, so perhaps I couldn't have been that long?
For starters, I guess I had made progress. I have no idea how I ended up in here in the first place, but something told me that there was something else of definite value to be found in here somewhere, spurring me on to begin looking.
What was I looking for, anyway? I didn't know myself

You're still that lone soul,
But this time
You feel a presence
Building up inside you, slowly.
You can now see truly,
You open your eyes
And witness something incredible.
You've noticed your hand,
Yet it is no longer that.
You see claws spurting out from your fingertips,
Your nails, fallen to the floor.
It looks painful
But you feel nothing.
Nothing but the strength
Still growing inside you
Now making its way to the surface,
Changing you slowly...
You watch as your fingertips fuse.
As five becomes three,
Your new claws growing longer
With each passing second.
You stare in amazement
Not sure what to feel...
Shock? Fear? Awe?
But there is one thing.
One single feeling
Surging through your body...
One feeling whose existence
You cannot deny.
It flows through your veins
Filling you with the energy
Of the beast within.
Now freeing itself
From the depths of your soul...
Yet this power cannot be contained so easily.

The greatest of things
Come in small packages...
That minor times
Lead to colossal ages...
That simple thoughts,
When nurtured well
Can form such an idea
That the fabric of life as we know it
Could very well be changed.
You must be humble
In order to truly experience pride
You must be intelligent
So you can understand right from wrong
You must be responsible
To handle power when the time comes
You must be generous
As to realise the worth of all around you
And you must be tolerant
To withstand the bitter road
Life has provided for you,
In order to achieve greatness.
You are one with such qualities,
One who has travelled far and wide.
One who has conquered all the challenges life has presented.
And for accomplishing this great feat,
The reward shall be
After such a long journey,
I had finally made it...
I made my way out of the dense forest,
My eyes wincing
As they were finally revealed to the sun's harsh glare
That had eluded them for so long.
A long Journey IntroThere I was, sitting in a plane and finally travelling to South America. A travel I had planned to do over a very long time. If I only had known what would happen on that flight.A long Journey Intro in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
I had chosen to take my two weeks of Easter holidays to visit South America, before the stress of the exams was about to begin. I normally use my holidays to travel to other countries, a habit I have from my parents who travel a lot too. One big goal of mine is to visit every continent at least once. South America and Australia were the two last continents I haven't visited so far and the decision where to travel to first fell on south America. Brazil to be more accurate. It took me some time to get all informations I needed and one rather nasty visit by my doctor, until everything was ready to go. I was excited to meet new people over there, take a ton of photos like always and enjoy the feeling to discover something new.
I checked in, after saying good by to my parents and used the time I had to wait to look
Dragonclaw: IntroIt was a bright sunny Saturday morning, the weather was ideal for the middle of august and there was a weak but pleasant wind.Dragonclaw: Intro in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Four people met in a park in Madrid, one woman and three men. All of them looked rather worried, despite the nice and warm weather. The place they were standing was hidden from direct sight, but open enough to look for possible pursuers. They all had business suits on, except the woman, who was wearing clothing appropriate for the weather conditions. All of them were at least past their sixties, featuring at least a few white straws in their hair. They all nodded to each other as they met.
"I'm glad you made it, considering how the others are searching for us at the moment" The oldest man started, who had his left arm missing. He pulled a few papers out of his suit and handed them to the others, who distributed them among themselves. They contained various information, including a sheet about a flight that left an hour ago and was listened as PDG-894.
A long Journey 1Some would say, hitting yourself with an hammer accidentally, that's bad luck. I would say otherwise. To enjoy a flight towards South America for your holidays, which crashes halfway through, get pursued by soldiers and used for experimentation all in one day, that's bad luck. But the worst part was the teleportation after getting infused with something that would change yourself into an extinct animal of some kind, falling through a tunnel and get repeatedly hit by lightning, while your body is stretched in all directions. Luckily it stopped as I hit the bright light at the end of the tunnel, becoming unconscious. But sadly my story didn't end here, it merely began with me awakening after that fall.A long Journey 1 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
I didn't know how long I laid there until I regained my consciousness, rather long I bet. As I began to remember what had happened. I could feel how my body hurt, as my feelings started to return. Not much, but enough to confirm that the past events weren't just a dream. I laid there while

Dragonclaw 4I dreamed from home this night. My parents were standing in front of our house and were waving towards me as they had as I entered the airport three days ago. I myself was back as I was before turning into a dragon and walked forwards to them. But the distance between me and them increased with every step that I made. Even faster as I started to run. They vanished behind a wall of thick fog which I jumped into and emerged as dragon on the other side. There was no trace of my home left as I looked around only a weak spark at the horizon.Dragonclaw 4 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
I woke up by a loud curse, before I could walk towards it. It revealed to be Stefan who nag about nothing in particular and was searching for his walker, which somehow was lying on the other side of the room.
"You should stop throwing things through the room while you sleep Stefan." I yawned and stretched my legs and wings, which felt a bit numb.
"Good morning by the way."
"Good! Ha. Easy for you to say . My whole body feels, as if it's on fire." Stefan

I searched for it, by slamming my hand repeatedly onto the desk until I found it and turned the alarm off. My glasses came next, which took a while sleepy as I was at that moment. To wake up at four o'clock, outside of the normal rhythm, isn't something I normally like. This time though it was different. I won a journey towards South America, Brazil to be specific. I was really surprised as they told me that I had won. I hadn't expected to win such a journey in the first place. Nevertheless I had and the plane I had to take would leave in about four hours.
Everything I wanted to take with me laid next to my bag, sorted and ready to be put into it. I'm used to pack my bag before I leave the house and not the day before. Simply to see that everything is there and so I wouldn't have to unpack everything again. It's a habit I adopted after a few travels to various countries all over the world. Most
Dragonclaw 13The following day began with me and Jessica snuggled together and the blanket lying next to the bed. Her muzzle was buried beneath my neck and our tails intertwined, warming each other over the night. She yawned as I moved my head to examine the scene and looked up to me with one eye, still trying to push away the sleepiness. I myself answered by caressing her softly, sending shivers down her body and caused her to relax once more, which a soft smile on her face showed. She returned the favor afterwards and we continued to lay in the bed for a longer time, until noises from the outside called for our presence.Dragonclaw 13 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Everyone was up by now and eagerly talking to each other in two groups. Arakod, Shylah, Zorath and Serkath had woken up and were debating about their new lives outside of the cave. The conversation broke down as I stepped out of the cave, while Jessica went inside the other room to look after our parents. Small gasps and several apologies told me that they must have been awake to
