I don't post enough goofy shots, so have one of me and Judy :iconthedreamerworld: at SDCC 2011!

Yes, when I really love my friends, I chomp on their heads.

Judy is expecially awesome because she is the biggest advocate for us cosplayers at Marvel. She is a web designer for them as well as official convention photographer, and she always goes out of her way to do photoshoots with cosplayers. Some of my strongest photos have been taken by her! Judy also runs a blog on Marvel.com where she talks about Marvel cosplays, check it out here: [link]

Thank you, Kevin Green, for this snapshot of us. That was on the Marvel stage right after the costume contest. XD

More photo collaborations with Benny Lee of Emanon Designs!

Retro Space Girl costume designed and made by me, also modeled by me

Photography and post-processing by Benny Lee :iconemanondesign:

Benny did such an amazing job with creating the outer space environment for this shoot. I am really blown away!

Costume construction notes: The idea of doing a space girl has been floating in my head for a while before I made this costume. I love old sci-fi movies ala The Day The Earth Stood Still and Barbarella. For my ode to retro futura, I drafted up a bodysuit and made it out silver PVC vinyl. It's fully lined in a comfortable stretch material, and I added pink trim all around the edges and keyhole. I also made my own trim by stretching spandex over batting - yay puffy retro futuristic trim!
The belt, arm warmers and leg warmers were the finishing touches. I lost my cute pink boots from the original shoot, or I would have used them over the flimsy leg warmers. I'm considering getting more vinyl and making boot covers. The wig was bought locally and I poofed up the back for a beehive look. The headset came from Target and I used a nerf gun which I painted pink and silver to match.

More photos and info on the costume can be found on my website: [link]

Character: Lady Sif - Thor (Marvel)
Costume made by Yaya
Photography by Judy Stephens
Makeup and model: Yaya

I made this costume for San Diego Comic Con after gathering materials and reference for several months. I love badass warrior girls and the color red, so Sif was a no brainer! I really liked her character in the comic book as well, from the fact that she grew up with Thor and trained along side him, to their on and off romance over the years, and Sif's strong, loyal and courageous nature.
I used a mix of materials for the costume, from suede to leather to metallic 4-way stretch to fur and wood. I drafted patterns for all the pieces and made everything within about 3 - 4 days. The corset is steel boned, and it was fun to make arm and leg armor pieces. I also enjoyed beading the wig and making the adornments on the hips.

More pics coming soon, and I plan on re-wearing Sif at Dragoncon!

hi all, this is a picture i drew of my gf. so fast we have been together for 4 yrs already, and it so happened that on the 1st of march is our 4th anniversary! well we celebrated today and we went out for a good dinner and go see miyazaki's new animation "howl's moving castle", it was really a great show! well anyway back to topic, this pic is her in her mini skirt and a red blouse i bought for her, there's some mistakes though but it'll take too long a time to change it. anyway i made her abit more lenghty as she's quite a tall girl haha, lucky she's shorter than mi by 0.5cm, i'm safe... phew! =p and i juz noticed its one of the very few times i actually painted a girl who i fully clothed haha anyway C&C welcome! =)

hi all, this is a fanart for marvel's amazing fantasy scorpion, well it is a failed characther painting of scorpion which some how i drew abit too passive and was not ideal for her characther. well, i have to do another one soon and hopefully i can it right the next time round. i know she is fat and weird haha but i kinda twisted her in this way coz she was always skinny. guess i played around too much for this. well anyway feel free to coment. =)

My cosplay of Saharai Gotiva, of Sadira's Tribe!

Sadira's Tribe is a world created by :iconsadira-pookie:, for which she's written stories and created lots of gorgeous art. She wanted to get a group together to cosplay some of her characters, when she brought her drawings to my house, I jumped right on! I created another one for someone else to wear, so there was 3 of us including her.

Photos were taken by :iconbuckrogersbarker:. We tell everyone we went to India for it
;-)

The only catch was...i wanted a horn. ... well... i wanted 2 horns...Pookles gave me one :D

This is probably the last one i'm selecting from my webpage [link] to post here, the rest of the photos and lots more cosplay are there. At least until i make some more! :)

This is me and pixiekitty, in the Last Exile costumes we made and wore to AUSA '09: Delphine, in her child and adult forms.

Delphine is such a crazy psychobitch. Gotta love it. Her fashion tastes are baffling. I honestly wasn't nuts about Last Exile, but it was pretty with great costume designs!

Photo by LJinto! I love my hat. :wizardhat:

I'll post more when I get back from my trip this weekend!

Just some simple fan art for the video game Super Meat Boy. This drawing depicts Meat Boy and Brownie in the racing level at the end of Chapter 3.
The development team behind this game (Team Meat) even saw my drawing and said it was awesome, so that made me feel good :P haha

This drawing was also on the front page of a news paper! [link]

So this game is available now on 360 for $10 (Go buy it!) until November, when the sale will end. Also coming to Wii, PC and Mac later this year.

Also play the original Meat Boy Flash game: [link]

Here is the eleventh drawing in my X-Men series.

Mystique is a deliciously deceptive mercenary whose popularity as an X-Men villain has made her an icon over at Marvel Comics. She's the kind of character you love to hate. She does so many twisted and cruel things that it's hard to believe the X-Men even allow her close to them. You'd think they'd get a restraining order. ;) (Like that'd work) I love the intricacies of Mystique's persona and history. Of course, I also appreciate just how dangerous she is and find the idea of being a shapeshifter to be quite appealing. I'd love to be able to change my appearance at will. She can be any and everyone... except herself it seems. Though not entirely reflective of her comic persona, I always found the final confrontation scene between her and Nightcrawler in the '90s cartoon to be really poignant. The idea that Mystique is a pariah within the mutant community fascinates me. It also holds undertones of queer theory with it. Mystique can be a man or a woman and she's arguably Marvel's most famous bisexual.

When I set out to draw Mystique for this series I decided to do my own thing with her. She always seems to go back to the white dress and though I think it's incredibly sexy it's just not combat ready. That hanging fabric is too problematic. As such, I amalgamated her looks to do this. It's kind of of like what would happen if her iconic white dress was combined with her leather spy look. I like the way she came out.

Here's just a simple drawing of the jade giantess She-Hulk. Every so often I like to throw in some She-Hulk into my gallery for fun. I'm fond of drawing her and she's a character who definitely brings a smile to my face. While I may not know everything there is to know about the character, I have greatly enjoyed what I have read with her in it. She's such a fun character who doesn't take herself too seriously. It's very refreshing. I also appreciate that, while she's had successful runs with both the Fantastic Four and the Avengers, she's proven herself as a solo hero. It's pretty cool that many fans prefer her to the Hulk. I know I do. After all, Jen is fabulous! ;)

To celebrate Japanese pop star Ayumi Hamasaki's 15th anniversary in the music business, I decided to pay tribute to the Empress by drawing five of DC Comics' lovely heroines in outfits inspired by some of the beautiful tour costumes she's worn over the course of her career. I picked the five heroines based on the response they received in my Women of the New 52 drawing series and so the five featured are those with the most favourites. Coming in fourth for most favourites is the badass Black Canary from the Birds of Prey.

I knew when I was selecting an outfit for Black Canary, I wanted to go for one of Ayu's rock looks. I opted to go for this sexy costume from her Premium Countdown Live 2008-2009 concert. It's one of my personal favourite costumes she's worn on-stage and it features just the right amount of shine with the black suit and sparkle with the sleeve cuffs and belt. To me, it screams Black Canary. Of course, I had to add in fishnets. You can't have Black Canary without her fishnets after all!
