Had it looked GOOD, there would have been this nagging feeling that I’d be missing out on something if I stuck to my vow of never again watching another Michael Bay movie. I have fond childhood memories of the Turtles, so I may have weakened. But because it looks like, well, a Michael Bay movie, that feeling simply isn’t there. I have no desire, at all, to pay for or sit through that film.
Transformers 3 was the last chance I was willing to give. I thought “There’s no way it could actually be WORSE than Transformers 2. I’ll give it a shot”.
Somehow…. it was.
That was it. That was the breaking point. No more Bay. EVERYTHING he goes near is pure effluent, and all the evidence you need of how toxic a film Turtles is going to be is in that trailer.
Obviously, we don’t know what the plot is at this point, but it’s a

“WHAAAT?!” I hear some cry. “You can’t mess with a classic!”
To them I ask: Have you watched the original recently?
Unlike, say, Ghostbusters (1984), the original Robocop has not aged well, mostly because it was a satire and satirical comedy/comedy based on popular culture tends to date very quickly.
Also, because of the limitations of special effects at the time: Peter Weller now looks decidedly goofy clomping around “future” Detroit in that clunky costume. I’ve no idea how restrictive it was, but I’ve a sneaking suspicion that he took the Anthony Daniels approach to playing a robot and made a point of moving like the Tin Man in a monsoon.
The reboot has ditched the satirical slant of the original and become a character-based drama. Those hoping for a repeat of the ‘87
Beware The BatmanI caught the first episode of Beware the Batman.Beware The Batman in Personal More Like This
What a pile of rancid, charm-free, cheap-looking, poorly written, spineless, generic pap.
To start with, I hate the character design. There's nothing memorable about anyone you see on screen, with the exception of Batman's strange cranial deformation. It looks like someone's been hitting him over the head with a mallet, which is entirely possible given that Alfred has turned into Cato, from The Pink Panther: randomly attacking his employer to keep him on his toes.
And then we have the villains. Batman has, arguably, the best Rogues Gallery in fiction. It's that which makes his stories so interesting, not the brooding. You'd think with the opening episode, they'd want to start strong, or at least hint at some major threat, lurking in the shadows.
Instead, they give us a man dressed as a pig and a frog-man that burps.
And what's with the f**king laser guns?! If any one franchise is ideal for carrying an anti-gun

They seemed to go out of style about a decade ago, which is a real shame, especially on the RPG front.
Two of my all time favourite games are Shining Force 2 and Skies of Arcadia, both of which featured turn-based combat and felt epic as a result.
But with action games taking a fore of late, everything just felt like it had started to become a rush. You never have time to savour anything anymore. The character designs, the music, the monsters, the setting. With a turn based combat you can take your time and enjoy it all, and, most importantly, when you fail you KNOW it was your fault, not a shoddy camera angle or sluggish controls.
I think that's why the last squad-based RPG I played was Final Fantasy XII, which introduced Real Time Battles. Don't get me wrong, it worked really well, but I just felt it wasn't as

Let's just go over what I posted yesterday: I voiced that I have no opinion on guns in America, because I don't live there and as such; don't care. I said that I, personally, am afraid of guns and think they're industrial killing machines. And I posed a vague, hypothetical question that could have been applied to any situation where an old law/doctrine is in effect.
That's it. Nothing more. Harshest word in there was "change" followed by a question mark. Not "ban", not "make guns illegal" and certainly not "outlaw free speech and trial by jury", which some people with a slightly looser grasp on reality seem to think go hand in hand with owning the firearms I said I don't care about.
Well, today, I am going to post an opinion: if you're the kind of insecure, paranoid little twit that flies off the handle when someone poses a simple question, and who holds weapons and the laws that permit them with such religious reverence that you perceive that question as not

And that's all I know about Yagosu, as again, its that obscure!
However, I will say that The Golden Age of Japanese Monsters, or the 'Kaiju Boom' of the 1960's, went far beyond film and television.
Resulting in original Kaiju being created for comics, books, magazines, toys, board games, bromide cards, record albums, and advertising. There was even renewed interest for Yokai mythology (SEE Shigeru Mizuki), and imported movie and television monsters from America, and elsewhere!
With Yagosu here, being only a small part of this long past decade of giant monster mania.

Five Deadly Anime SinsWith the lack of practically any theatrical or rentable releases of interest to me I've fallen back into my old habits and turned to Anime again. I am in no way a die-hard fan, but oftentimes given the less restrictive nature of the medium there can be stronger, more character driven, and more mature stories to be seen then in a lot of Western animation and shows, especially nowadays with the neutering by political correctness reaching painfully acute levels. I do enjoy well produced anime, dubbed or subtitled, very much and there's even a few shows which, despite their corniness or weirdness, I watch as guilty pleasures because of a focus on an ongoing narrative and intriguing interplay, as well as the inventive action.Five Deadly Anime Sins in Personal More Like This

The Battle of Five Armies has some of the most impressive CGI/practical fantasy effects I've ever seen. The armor, the locations, the clothing, the props...all excellently and believably crafted. The acting is fine. The music is fine. The directing, the choreography, some of the choices made that were not in line with the book were still logical and intelligent (such as the men of Laketown arming themselves with the weapons of ruined Dale and dwarves fighting in a shield phalanx.)
But for every decent idea, great set, awesome effect or exciting battle there was strung throughout this really disconcerting trend of either not trusting the audience to get subtlety or having no sense of restraint. Nothing in this film with very few exceptions was just allowed to function. A battle wasn't a battle until it was WAY too complicated. Single combat isn't enough it needs to take place on a collapsing bridge formed of a tower propped between a cliff! P

Because I enjoy movies a lot I have an invested interest in improving them which is why I spend so much effort tearing some of them apart. Even movies I dislike I don't think are beyond saving as pieces of quality entertainment.
The Mummy is not deep, it's not Shakespearian, it's not always entirely logically sound.
But it was and remains a darn good time.
For one thing The Mummy is several genres coupled together but not at odds: Action, Humor, and Horror.
A lot of films believe they need to compromise on genre elements to transition between diverse emotions, atmospheres and story types, but The Mummy managed to blend these three subtypes into a near perfect and consistent mix.

Sure they whine about their taskmasters all the time but nobody attempts to rebel in public and said stormtroopers are so dedicated they will chase the hero EVERYWHERE and risk dying in horrible ways just for the honor of missing at them with their guns. Set in the early halcyon days of Rapture from conception to destruction; I think an ideal Bioshock show would follow several characters in diverse walks of life, from the highest tier of wealth and prestige to the underclass kept in the shadows. Maybe the wealthier characters arrive on their funding but the underclass characters are there by necessity as laborers or even fugitives. Episode by episode these characters would encounter their own adventures as well as be part of the ongoing insidious degradation of the city under the sea. Over the course of the series we'd witness the invention of the Little Sister/Big Daddy program, the first Splicers, the rise of Fontaine's criminal empire and Andrew Ryan's decent into paranoia, concluding with creation of the mind contr
Fixing The Hobbit TrilogyI think The Lord of the Ring is a triumph of cinema with the strongest aspects of Professor Tolkien's grand work enshrined in three well paced and powerful films that near perfectly balanced action with deeper character development than is often seen. Real attention was paid to make the entire production feel like a real place, battles were (for the most part) believable affairs, and the focus fell solidly on the central cast so that their journey from travail to triumph was the last impression created when all was said a done.Fixing The Hobbit Trilogy in Personal More Like This
The Hobbit trilogy is a painfully protracted, exposition heavy, largely unconvincing series of action set pieces populated by shallow characters with no point to make other than wringing money from the license with endless callbacks to the superior trilogy.
I blame Guillermo Del Toro (whom I feel has never made a movie that was THAT good to begin with) being involved, but it seems a little too clear from interviews and some articles I've looked up that Peter Jac
Guardians of the Galaxy: You Did it Right!I was recently accused of disliking all modern productions.Guardians of the Galaxy: You Did it Right! in Personal More Like This
Guardians of the Galaxy fits firmly not only into movies I've recently very much enjoyed, but perhaps alongside my favorite films of all time.
There is only one major complaint I have about Guardians and it's an odd one (this whole movie is odd in many ways). The opening scene, without spoilers mentioned, is COMPLETELY incongruous with the rest of the movie, has little baring on the plot except for some superficial details and largely pointless callbacks, and takes up far too much time.
But aside from that GREAT.
This movie has a massive reliance on computer animation and it knows how to use it. Every instance of space crafts, alien worlds, massive cities, strange buildings and creatures is so outlandish, detailed and imaginative you can't possibly recreate it without the use of special effects.
And this is one of this instances that as good as the effects work, props, costumes, and designs are the writing is what pushes

- Describing a watermelon in Buckaroo Banzai
Demolition Man is a strange film without a doubt, but one of the oddest moments isn't the remarkably politically incorrect social commentary or the weird futurisms and technology. Instead it's a moment where John Spartan (Stallone's character) asks to use the bathroom after emerging from cryo-stasis in the future and discovers quickly that there is no toilet paper in the brave new world of the twenty second century. Instead there's only three sea shells and he's mercilessly mocked for not knowing how to use them.
How do you use them? Never stated. Never even alluded to later on.
This is a mystery which goes unanswered.
Similarly mystifying is a moment from the oddball movie Buckaroo Banzai which is all about a particle physicist/cowboy/band leader/race car driver who battles aliens from the eighth dimension. In a

I think we should build the history of the Golden age of Angel Falls but I can only think of two ways to do that....
1. anyone who wants to could create a Golden Age character and connect it to a character in the present. That one is easy.
2. A time traveler screwed up and sent all of the Heroes and Villains of the city back to...I don't know 1932 or something. As a way to hide in the open with out revealing who they are. Everyone create new identities as Golden Age Heroes until they can fix the timeline.
This would revolve a big story line and would be an event so that one more difficult.

Personally? I like it. It's...well, it's Godzilla! Kind of a big blend of everything that's come before. One thing I find most intriguing are the eyes. They aren't as fierce as we're more or less used to seeing...which says to me that this isn't really representative of Godzilla's entire range of emotion. Edwards went on record stating that Godzilla's "character" has been coming through in the visual effects process, so perhaps this is simply a neutral state for his face? Will the monster become considerably angrier-looking in the film? Time will tell! For the moment, he's a beast of intelligence and ancient power. There's something softer behind those eyes that the blind, unfurled rage we've so often been witness to in the past.

I heartily recommend it to all of my fellow kaiju-lovers. Here's the catch, though - it's one of those pesky stories where battling titans are not, in fact, the point. It's a love-letter to not just the tokusatsu genre, but rather, the nostalgiac childhoods of many a Japanese citizen, growing up in the 1960's, where monsters and heroes were all the rage, and kids played outside and had their own adventures. It's GOONIES meets GODZILLA'S REVENGE with a dash of DEMEKING, with a heaping helping of ULTRAMAN GAIA: BATTLE IN HYPERSPACE.
The story is ultimately one of childhood. The peaceful Japanese suburb calls to mind the sort of kaiju story that Hayao Miyazaki would create - it revels in the mundane beauty of Japanese suburban life. I would normally say that those who are "expecting" a royal monster rumble would be "disappointed"...but that's

By the end of the day the Allies had landed some 156,000 troops ashore — nearly as large a force as the United States stationed in all of Iraq at the peak of the Iraq War. They had come aboard some 6,900 ships and landing craft. More than 11,500 planes crossed the English Channel.
More than 4,400 Allied soldiers died that day.

Should she lose and get taken down a peg by someone like Connie or Maia? Or maybe she loses and tries to become an actual heroine...though some would argue she already is...or perhaps she embraces the side of her genetic make-up designed by Ilsa and grows more and more powerful, fulfilling her destiny of surpassing Genocide in strength, mass and durability. It's all very confusing.

8 facts about XeranadIt's the sadistic dark lord's turn now.8 facts about Xeranad in Personal More Like This
1) A common misconception I have seen in artworks featuring Xeranad is that his armor is often a dark grey and sometimes even black. Just to clarify: his armor is SNOW WHITE in color. I chose white simply because of how sharply it contrasted with the rest of the outfit's blacks and reds. I didn't want the stereotypical appearance, yet I didn't want to stray too far from what makes the dark lord type character so imposing.
2) Xeranad doesn't wear a mask to hide his identity... he wears it to basically make himself look less human and thus make it harder for you to understand him. And people fear what they don't understand.
3) The dimension Xeranad controls, the Dark Dimension, used to be a lush paradise. Then he stumbled upon it and basically used it as an experiment... in lack of a better term, he RAPED the place dry. BY HIMSELF. (I'll reveal the Dark Dimension's true name at a later date)
4) When I write Xeranad, I usually try to make Xeranad se

Bandwagon deal. Just gonna go for it.
Comment below and I'll pick a character of yours that's I like the most and I'll write what I like about them!
(keep in mind that if I can't figure out where you keep them, I'll look for the most recent one you have. Also there needs to be a picture available, I won't read any fictions)
I will only add you if you first make one of these journals and include one of my characters in it, and so on.
Link for your own journal in your comment is required!
(depending on how many people get interested - I might add few more slots)
1.:iconSXGodzilla: - It was a bit difficult narrowing down which character I liked the most from character list of SXGodzilla. The super soldier scientist Doc Valiant, the mad anarchist Eviscerare, the vigilante Black Spider and the sweet heroine in training Wild Rose all had great qualities and were exceptionally well made, but I decided to go off the beaten
Xer's inspirations.Anyway, a while ago :iconSXGodzilla: posted a list of characters who were used as inspirations for his characters Doc Valiant, Eviscerare, and Black Spider. So, about time I tried my hand at it.Xer's inspirations. in Personal More Like This
Here are the characters who inspired the creation of my most vile and twisted of villains, Xeranad Lekard.
1 ) ANY DARK LORD
Pick a dark lord type character. Is it Sauron? Voldemort? Darth Vader? Darkseid? Ganondorf? While all of them certainly attribute to the sheer terror that Xeranad can inspire in the characters, the best ones, at least for me, are options one and three. Also Exdeath from Final Fantasy V... seriously an underrated villain (I don't care if he is cliche, he got within a gnat's whisker of achieving his goal).
2 ) Nyarlathotep
Nyarlathotep of H.P. Lovecraft lore inspired Xeranad's unique existence and nature, basically being an amalgamation of evil intent and desire. As such, Xeranad is just as incapable of compassion as Nyarlathotep, though he can certainly fake it.
3 ) Warach
Top Five Weirdest DC HeroesHello all.Top Five Weirdest DC Heroes in Personal More Like This
As you are aware, DC Comics is home to some of the best superheroes in the comic book industry... they're also home to some of the strangest, be it their powers, backstory, personality, or just the way they dress. So today I'll be talking about the five I find the weirdest (at least in my own personal opinion), as well as include the other ten that didn't quite make the cut for the list but are still weird. Note, however: weird doesn't necessarily mean bad.
Number 5: Captain Marvel/Shazam
Yep, I'm sure you've at least heard of Captain Marvel. While he does share a name with a hero from the Marvel comics, they are easily different characters. Hell, there was even a lawsuit battle between the creators of Superman and the creators of Captain Marvel (due to how similar the two characters were). His origin, however, is the real reason I put him on here: Billy Batson gets on a subway and ends up in a mysterious tunnel and meets the wizard Shazam, who gives him his godlike powers t

So, five things about me, huh? Well, here goes.
1: It's been over a year since I last had a haircut. Once winter is over I'm going to get my picture taken, go to the barber, and once he's done get another picture taken. Then send the result to my parents.
2: The last taste of alcohol I had was semi hard cider I had on my birthday a year ago. It was also the ONLY taste of alcohol I've had. I honestly see no reason to go out and get drunk or smoke or what have you. Especially strange considering I live in Iowa City, where you can't walk five feet wi
8 Facts about AriaYep, I've fallen on the bandwagon. Inspired by :iconblueknightfox:, who was inspired by :iconSXGodzilla:8 Facts about Aria in Personal More Like This
Lot of inspiration going around, huh?
Anyway, let's get this thing going, huh?
1: Aria's full name is, in fact, Arianrhod Cadenza Kahner. She HATES being called "Arianrhod" however, and will physically cringe when she hears someone say it.
2: Aria's astrological sign is Virgo.
3: Among all the villains Aria has faced, she only hold two of them in contempt: Xeranad Lekard (for obvious reasons), and her boyfriends evil alter ego, Concussion (mostly because in her eyes he's evil without having any reason to be). She has no hatred for Ultrawoman (in fact, she actually respects her, but doesn't agree with her methods), or General Shadow (whom she believes has ultimately become Xeranad's pawn). She does dislike the Canadian Syndicate for trying to shove their protection racket onto her favorite bakery, though.
4: Aria's personality, while centered around being cute, is also designed to sh
Godzilla - new photosIts almost time for Godzilla's return, but Toho still isn't allowing any official trailers to be released. I found a small video about photos taken on the film set of the new Godzilla to show you guys. some of these pics are old but some are new.Godzilla - new photos in Personal More Like This
There is also rumors that there might be a new Godzilla game that'll be released after the movie. but of course you wont have any luck finding any trailers on it. if Toho isn't allowing any movie trailers then they certainly wont allow game trailers. but if there is going to be another Godzilla game, I don't know if it'll be another fighter game like Godzilla Unleashed or if it'll be an entirely new game.
All we can do is wait...
What inspired your OC?This is a question for those who own a OC.What inspired your OC? in Personal More Like This
What inspired you to create the OC's you own today? did you see something you liked and it inspired you to make a character? or did you make your OC because you simply wanted one?
My first OC, Naxon was actually based off of me in the very first attempt. his original name was supposed to be Connor. (but that's not my real name. I just liked that name) then worked over into a DBZ character (because I love DBZ) the reworked into a Kingdom Hearts OC while keeping the DBZ style.
My second OC, Xegito was inspired by a few anime women.
Who ever this is
These 2 girls inspired her original design. mostly the mystery girl in the top image. I just loved her so much. then these girls came along and inspired something new.
And also a girl named Beby, the giantess from an anime with a long and forgettable name.
My 3rd OC, Xota... well... as I said, I just wante

Star Wars - Ewok moviesI know I've shown this movie before but that was before :iconshadow443: showed me how to put videos in my entries.Star Wars - Ewok movies in Personal More Like This
These are 2 Star Wars movies that were made after Return Of The Jedi. but both are not well known and for good reason. both these movies take place back on planet Endor with the dreaded Ewoks; those "cuddly" little bears that some how defeated the 501st Legion. these movies were voted the worst movie spin offs of Star Wars ever. even worst than the Christmas special of Star Wars where the Wookies attack Santa's workshop under Luke's command.
I can see why these movies were voted the worst. I've never made it all the way through with both of them before getting so bored and just stopping. but that's just my opinion.
But anyway, here's a movie and a half both The Ewok Adventures. don't let my opinion stop you, enjoy.
I laughed when I read that many years ago in the Star Wars universe that a powerful Sith lord came to planet Endor and almost destroyed the entire plane
