Growing up, lots of kids I knew read comic books and dreamt of being their favorite crimefighters. Not me. In fact, I hated costume heroes, or "capes" as we called them. From the time I was three years old, I wanted to be a cop. Of course, a large part of that came from the fact I was born into a family of cops. My grandfather, my father, my uncle, and my cousin. We were a different kind of blue blood, but we were proud of it.
As soon as I was done with high school, I proposed to my sweetheart, Audrey, and enlisted in the Academy. I know my family name helped me get inducted into the Gale ranks upon graduation, but I didn't mind.
