"Your majesty WHAT IS THIS?! WHAT IS THIS!!??" David yelled as he waved the letter from Twilight back and forth so Celestia could see it. "It's just a letter." She said quietly.
"Just a letter ? JUST A LETTER!!!???" He screamed causing shadows too fly out of his body. "Let me read what this letter says too you." He said tearing the letter open.
"Dear David I'm sorry I can't say this too you face to face. Princess Celestia has ordered me to return to Ponyville without you. She believes that as long as I'm your little sister I will continue to be a target for Nightmare Moon's attacks. I truly wish it did not have to come to this but I must follow Celestia's orders. Goodbye forever.
Your little sister, Twilight Sparkle."
As David finished he burned the letter with his fire powers in anger. Celestia lowered her head in shame; she knew she had been found out. "EXPLAIN THIS LETTER NOW!!!" David demanded yelling at the top of his voice. "What t

"RISE AND SHINE PARTNER!!!" David's deep sleep was shattered by Applejack shouting directly in his ear. "It's time for Earth element training with your coach, Applejack!" David sat up and looked at his watch. The analog numbers flashed 5:00am on the screen. "AJ it's really early." He said mumbling his words. "EARLY?! The Apple family is always up at 5:00am sharp." She yanked the blanket off his bed pulling him off as well. "Now on your feet, you got a lot of work to do today, so we need to get an early start."
Applejack raced downstairs as David rose to his feet. "Well, no point in going back to sleep, might as well get going." He dressed in some light clothing; a t-shirt and light elastic cotton pants, mainly used for running. He walked down the stairs to see Twilight at the table leaning over a cup of coffee. "Morning Twilight." David said as he grabbed an apple out of the bowl on the table. "Ugh " was the only response he received. He t

David awoke to the sun shining directly in his face.
"Ugh up with the morning sun again." He grunted as he slipped out of bed.
He shook his head and stretched out his legs. He looked over to the mirror hanging on the side of the room and stared at the stallion muzzle looking back at him. His reflection stared back at him, the silver eyes unblinking as he walked closer.
He slowly put his front right hoof against the mirror to make sure it was really him. Even after being turned into a stallion and marrying Twilight he still couldn't believe that it was really him in the mirror.
"17 years you'd think I would have worked it through my thick skull by now." He said smiling.
His eyes looked over his stallion form once again. He had not only been giving the gift of a unicorn horn, but he had kept his original hair color. Dark black strands of hair covered his eyes along with a silver streak that passe

"A letter from Princess Celestia?" Twilight said as she opened the letter on the table with her magic. "Yeah, apparently she wants to meet me." David said laying out his best clothes that Rarity had made for him, along with his sword and ocarina. "I'm not surprised. You've been the talk of Ponyville all week." Twilight said as she finished the letter. "Rarity and AJ wanted to know where you were today. I told them you were busy practicing some magic you discovered. So did you learn anything cool from that book." She said smiling. David faked a smile the best he could, his mind flashing back to the destruction he had caused with the final fire spell. "Y-Yeah, I learned some awesome spells." he stammered trying to hide his shame from her. Twilight smiled as she crawled into her bed, "You should be happy. His burning blade swung back and forth, desperately trying to turn the tide in his favor. She tried every spell she knew to break Nightmare Sol's tendrils grip but none of them worked. "DIE!!!!!!" She jerked her head up to see David glowing a dark purple and leaping into the air heading for Nightmare Sol. "I've had enough of this crap" David said as he threw his suitcase on top of his bed. It was 11:00 at night as he quietly began packing the necessities into his suitcase. David was a 19 year old foster child. His parents had died in a car accident that killed both of them and left David with a scar from his forehead all the way down to the base of his chin. As he packed his things into the suitcase he reached into the back of his closet and removed his most precious treasures. He first removed a nickel plated silver .45 caliber pistol from a locked box. "Dad " he mumbled. David's father John had served in Iraq and lost a leg to an RPG, he had given his pistol to David at his 13th birthday. Two years later David had already learned how to shoot like a soldier. His memories of his father flooding back to him, David quietly loaded the gun, flipped the safety on, and placed the pistol and 10 extra magazines into his suitcases flap area

"Wait what!? War?" David said repeating what Bio had told him as he was lead into the Apple family barn. "That's right, war." Bio grunted as he rolled a map out onto a table where Spitfire and Soarin were already standing. "Nightmare Sol has taken over ALL of Canterlot. Her power is like a plague. As it grows it engulfs everything it touches and turns it evil. Every servant, every guard, every pony in that castle and town now follows her!" He said slamming his tail on the table. David felt like his heart stopped. "Even Twilight and the others?" Bio sighed. "No not them. My guess is she wants to use them as bait and lure you back so she can slay you." David pounded his fists on the table until they were bright red.

David and his army marched into Appleloosa the following day. Most of the glances they received from the ponies in the town were those of confusion or concern. He didn't blame them, he would probably be concerned too if 300 ponies in armor walked through his town. "Can I help you fellar's with something?" A pony wearing a sheriff's badge said as he walked toward the group.
"Yes you could actually. I'm looking for a pony named Braeburn." David said as calm as possible. "Now why are ya 'll looking for Braeburn?" The sheriff asked narrowing his eyes. "That's none of your business, and if you want us to stay peaceful I suggest you tell the Guardian what he wants to know." Bio said getting right in the sheriff's face. David said as he started unrolling his sleeping bag. David had been walking for a good while over rough ground and he was exhausted from the trip. As the full moon rose in the sky he slowly removed Dream Maker from his side and reached into his bag.
"It's been so long since I've played. I hope I still can." David carefully removed a pale white ocarina. He had won the ocarina in a contest while his high school class was visiting Japan. He had played all the time for his parents and friends since it always brought smiles to their faces. His foster parents on the other hand thought it was nothing but an annoyance. So they forbid him from playing it while he stayed with them.

David opened his eyes and was immediately attacked by a ray of sunlight directly into his eyes. As he slowly sat up in the bed he was resting in, a sharp pain shot through his shoulder blade. The water washed over her, filled her mouth and her nose. At once Dash felt her breath escape her. She pedaled hard, felt her hooves strike against something.
At once there was a feeling that she was being pulled, dragged. Something, something was tugging at her!
As the last bit of her air burned in her lungs she threw her head wide, felt it contact whatever was pulling at her. At once there was a cold feeling, and the rush of water around her ended and she immediately drew a massive breath.
She spun around in place, fighting to her hooves, attempted to look upon whatever had been dragging her
and saw the old hat and dearly familiar face of Applejack before her.
"R.D.?" asked Applejack, her own face seemingly ashen, deeply set and worried.
Rainbow Dash wobbled to her feet. She was as cold, wet, and confused as a newborn foal, and her knees knocked together both from the cold and t

Before her stands the assembled citizenry of the city, the residents of Ponyville staring up to her in anticipation of the coming of the start of the summer, her gift to them.

The fisherponies looked up to the sky as they placed their nets into the holds of their little boats. A sun unguided by magic was already gathering even as their flickering lanterns bobbed across the bows of their boats, even as their captors peered down at them over the harborside ramparts.
As they cast off and raised their sails those ponies who still were allowed to make their living on the sea looked up to the first appearance of that sun with saddened eyes.

"We can't cheer," she said to them as she walked back and forth along the forepeak, "We can't risk giving away that we helped them. Meditate for them, if you wish, but keep looking like we're just as surprised as anyone "
The crew looked on, their faces a sea of worry, concern and perhaps more than a few betraying just a little smirk of vengeance.
Many bobbed their heads, their mouths moving in time with soundless words, their eyes closed as they concentrated on friends aboard the other ship asking that if victory was not be that their transition to the Well would be painless.

Okay, so, here goes. My life, written down right here. In a diary.
And why does everypony always start with "Dear diary", anyway? It's not like it's anything dear to me. It's just a notepad. I don't see why we now have to address inanimate objects.
I don't even think this is a good time to start writing in my diary, but I can't do anything else right now and I'm scared if I stop I'll think of everything that's happened and start crying again.
(Yes, I have been crying. A lot. Lame.)
I guess I should probably write down what happened to "keep a record" like Fluttershy said.
...I hope she's forgiven me, at least.
It started yesterday, at work. I was out on field duty, trying to work out how to spread a storm from Ponyville to Trottingham without it bordering Fillydelphia, and I was doing quite well on my own. I guess the math thing with Dessie sort of helped.

She said, "But....d-does this mean...you don't..."
"Mind? No. Of course I don't mind. It's part of who you are."
"Wow. Uh...really? Ah thought Ah was settin' off a bomb by tellin' you that, so t'speak..."
I locked eyes with her. "Nothing you tell me will ever, ever change what I think about you."

Pinkie Pie Character ReviewTrue story when I first decided to write this review, it was simply going to read, "She's just being Pinkie Pie", as I felt that this would be the perfect way to summarise her detailed and intricate character. But then I figured that that would be taking the easy way out, and thus decided to write a full-size review for Pinkie Pie. After all, she deserves just as much analysis as every other character within the mane cast, even if trying to rationalise Pinkie Pie's behaviour is something of an impossible task at times.Pinkie Pie Character Review in Reviews & Guides More Like This
Pinkie Pie is the sort of character that makes a fan-base. Whereas some characters rightfully deliver their own iconic lines and meme-worthy phrases, Pinkie Pie is in a league of her own. This is because her character is noticeably different from the rest of the mane cast, placing her in a position almost outside of the usual narrative of "Friendship is Magic". She can be a narrator for events outside of her control; she can break the fourth wall with glances to t

#43) I'm a casual fan, and I'm afraid to dip my foot deeper into the pool of the fandom. A friend of mine is attending a pony convention soon. Should I attend the convention? I'm still not 100% sure about 'bronies'. Thanks!
Answer: I think a convention would be the place to go if you're really into the fandom and wish to spend time with other people who are also really into the fandom. I know several people who have attended pony conventions, and they've given me mixed feedback. Some have really enjoyed themselves, and have met some interesting people. Others have found encounters with other bronies to be unnerving and odd (one got pounced on by a guy in a fur-suit). Therefore, to be on the safe side, you may wish to think twice about visiting a convention.
Then again, you have a mixture of sensible and extreme bronies anywhere you look within the fandom, and so as long as you can handle a bunch of people who you may think are taking it too far, you may also

Answer: I think you should be at an age now where you should be accepted for your inoffensive interests. He probably has his own interests that could be seen as embarrassing. You're living together for the foreseeable future, and so it's not healthy to keep something to yourself that you want to be a part of. It won't be much fun spending an entire year, or perhaps longer, hiding your interest and avoiding drawing and so on.
Don't make an effort to 'tell' him: that's making it more important than it needs to be. Just do what you usually do draw ponies and watch the episodes on Youtube or whatever. If he asks what you're watching, again, don't go overboard. Announcing that you're a 'brony' is unnecessary. Just say that it's a show

#67) Is clopping bad? I've done it before and I don't really understand why other bronies find it disgusting. Maybe it's just me. >.<
Answer: With the amount of clopping questions I receive with this column, it's hardly a wonder why a lot of people think that bronies are sexual deviants. Now, in terms of your question itself, the fact that you don't see why other people might find it disgusting is worrying, because you're admitting to not being able to contemplate why people would think it odd to masturbate to cartoon animals.
To be honest, to apply a label of 'bad' on clopping is a big generalisation, as it all comes down to opinion. It is my opinion that, while masturbating to ponies in itself isn't a problem, the content itself is bad, insofar as that shit seems to be everywhere. What's worse than being into it, though, is being proud of it. It's one thing to masturbate to ponies if that's what turns you on, there's no point in holding back on it just because

#28) Should bronies stop trying to convert the world? Stuff like the 'brony commercial' annoy me because it's as if bronies just won't shut up about what they like.
Answer: There are really two trains of thought in relation to bronies converting the world. Obviously, when someone likes a TV show, they enjoy getting other people to watch it. The show can be enjoyable, and so I would say that if you do like it, and if you have some friends who you think might like it too, you might want to encourage them to give it a shot. It doesn't hurt to try something out, and if they don't like the show, then that's fine. In that sense, making a small effort to get more people into the ponies seems harmless enough.
As for large-scale efforts, however, I do find them to be a bit in-your-face at times. Bronies are clearly proud of what they're doing, and thus a lot of them feel the need to make others experience their passion as well. The problem with this, of course, is that not everyon

#46) What's with the crazy adoration for brony 'celebrities' [people popular within the fandom]? Some of these people are treated as guests at conventions just as much as people working on the show. It pisses me off that the fandom worships certain popular bronies. What do you think of this?
Answer: It's important to remember that brony 'celebrities', as you put it, are just normal people. And, in some respects, yes, certain individuals are seen through rose-tinted glasses. I always find it amusing when fan-musicians, for example, are featured on guest lists for conventions above people such as Daniel Ingram, the guy responsible for most of the songs in the actual show.
Then again, the fandom likes its idols, and there's no point in getting pissed off just because said idols are receiving a great deal of praise. Most of the brony 'celebrities' deserve at least a portion of their fame, and so it seems fair to say that if people are willing to look up to these people

#52) Why do bronies feel the need to create so many gay shippings? It's weird.
Answer: Bronies make lesbian shippings because the bulk of the cast of "Friendship is Magic" are female, and bronies like to pair characters up. The idea is in itself nothing new, but ponies do seem to take things to the next level.
"I'm an Apple-Dash fan!" one person cries.
"That sucks," says another. "Pinkie-Shy is best shipping!"
On the one hand it's relatively harmless if people are just pairing the characters up for shits and giggles. When it gets porn-y you have to wonder why people are so obsessed with making these ponies fuck each other. It's a given that people will ship characters, but that doesn't make it any more necessary or purposeful. I'll never forget one hilarious instance where a brony made a comment on a person's DA page who was a big supporter of Soarin and Rainbow Dash shipping. They said that their shipping idea was 'shit'. Am I not really a fan any more because my focus isn't on ponies so much?
Answer: Being a fan of something doesn't mean you have to experience it all of the time. It's like having a best friend: you don't need to necessarily talk to them all the time, or even see them for a long time, and yet you still just know that they're an excellent friend to have. Much in the same way, being a fan of "Friendship is Magic" doesn't require you to actively involve yourself in it. #61) I'm young and people have told me I can't be a brony. At what age can you be a brony?
Answer: I've got friends who have attended brony conventions and they've seen eight year-olds dressed up as Scootaloo; at Everfree Northwest a kid of ten or so asked the voice actresses a question and received a bro-hoof in return. As long as you're old enough to understand what you're a part of, I'd say you fit in as a brony.
The whole brony 'thing', when it comes down to it, is about being a fan of the show outside of its intended audience. I'm not sure if you're male or female, but that might come into the equation, insofar as if you were a six year-old girl, you might just be classed as a fan of the show. If you were a six year-old boy, that might be slightly different. Not that I'm saying that girls and boys can't both be bronies, because they obviously can.
I think that it's the awareness that really matters. If you are aware that there is a large fanbase of people who

"I figured out how to get your wings back!"
The words seemed to echo in Rainbow Dash's mind as her jaw slowly fell open. There was no room for anything else; her brain had simply stopped working. She continued to stare in shock as Twilight let go of her face, having been pulled away by an orange hoof.
Applejack stared at Twilight, her expression a mixture of joy and disbelief. A tremor in her voice betrayed the emotions she felt. "Are you serious, Twilight?"
"Of course!" She answered, tilting her head. "Why wouldn't I be?"
"Because last time Ah asked you, you seemed... well, stumped." The farmer answered, still holding Twilight at hoof's length.
"I... was." Twilight admitted, her eyes downcast. "I even begged Princess Celestia for help..." Her smile was tremulous as she lifted her eyes back to Applejack. "She did though. Help, I mean." Twilight's smile grew as she kept talking, almost gushing about the Princess. "She's really amazing... it took me forever to even come up

Applejack stared at the ground as Rainbow Dash left the kitchen, stomping her hoof in frustration. Her ears flicked backwards as she heard the front door slam closed, causing her frown to deepen. Chances were, that fool pony had damaged the door. She'd have to check it later. But first, she trotted over to the counter, grabbed a cloth with her rainbow tail and began wiping the cider off the floor. She really shouldn't have mentioned the cider's existence, but that cat was long since out of the bag.
She was so focused on cleaning that she failed to hear her brother's approach until he addressed her directly. "Sis? What the hay just happened?"
Applejack growled, flinging the cloth away. "What happened?" she spat, glaring at her brother. "Ah'll tell you what happened!" She opened her mouth, ready to say what she was thinking, what she was feeling. But nothing came out. She was at a loss for words. "Ah... ah don't know."
"Do ya want to talk?" Big Macintosh asked, watching at his sister. Sh

Pinkie's party, as always, was full of life. Ponies were dancing to the blaring music, ponies were eating snacks that were being offered, and ponies were huddled in separate groups, merrily chatting away. A certain pair found themselves accosted by everypony, as the banner hanging from the ceiling caught all eyes.
" 'Yay you're better and now you're together and Dashie's gonna be refeathered'?" Rainbow asked, eyeing it for the tenth time. "How did she even fit that all on the banner and still make it readable?"
Applejack shrugged. "She's got neat hoofwriting." The two were sitting together, attempting to escape the numerous ponies either congratulating Rainbow on her release from the hospital or stating that they couldn't wait to see her back in the skies once her wings had returned to their rightful place.
Most embarrassingly, they often walked over to congratulate the couple, wishing them well in their relationship. The thought of making a public announcement had never entered their

The sun dipped closer to the horizon, bathing Equestria in a warm orange glow as the day drew closer to its close. The clouds in the skies took on a pink hue, benign but eerily reminiscent of Discord's brief reign in Ponyville. These were, however, mere tricks of the light, and were not filled with chocolate rain, a lack which would have greatly saddened a certain pink pony had she been paying attention to them.
Applejack was distracted as she trotted back to her home. She was too busy trying to ignore her aching head to notice the beautiful display in the sky, and she thanked her lucky stars that she had not gotten a concussion, considering how strong the impact had been. As she turned the corner of the path, she sighed, her mind wandering on the events of the past few weeks since the incident. Getting used to these new parts of her body had taken more out of her than she cared to admit, and had caused many sleepless nights. She still occasionally woke up long before her normal hours,

"Earn my keep? What the hay is that supposed to mean?"
Applejack winced at Rainbow Dash's raised voice. She had certainly expected it, but that didn't change the volume. Any louder and her ears would have been ringing. "Ah'm just saying, Sugarcube... you can't exactly do your weatherpony duties right now, and the farm could always use another helping hoof. Think of it as a trade for food and shelter!" she said, a strained grin on her face.
Big Macintosh chose that moment to walk past, offering a piece of his wisdom. "She does eat an awful lot for such a small pony..."
The pegasus glared at the stallion, remaining unconvinced. "It's not my fault I can't do my job! I don't see why that should change anything!" she grumbled, sitting on her haunches and crossing her forelegs.
The farm pony frowned, unwilling to let the matter drop. Rainbow Dash was one of her best friends, and she truly didn't mind letting her stay at the farm, but Dash's behavior had started to fray at her nerves. Not so

"Ah can't believe ah'm saying this, Big Macintosh, but we're actually ahead of schedule. Way ahead!"
The big stallion nodded in agreement to his sister's statement. For the first time in longer than he could remember, the apple groves had been bucked in a fraction of their usual time. While a goodly portion of the trees still carried their fruits, those particular ones would not be ripe for another couple weeks, leaving the family with only the most routine chores left to do. Most of which only took an hour or two at most to complete.
"Ah guess we've earned ourselves some well deserved time off." Applejack mused, breaking Big Macintosh out of his reverie. He nodded his agreement, deferring to his younger sibling. He might have been the eldest, but Applejack usually made most of the decisions concerning the farm's well being. Before he could add any comment, another voice interrupted him.
"Awesome!" Rainbow Dash cried, her face split into a wide grin. After the past few weeks of applebu

Spike put a finishing touch on the letter as Twilight frantically ran through the library behind him. "Spike!" she called out, levitating numerous books at the same time and frantically stuffing them within her saddlebags. "Did you finish the letter?"
Spike jumped down from the pedestal he'd been using. "Yep! Got it right here." He said, and scanned over the page once more. "Heading to Canterlot, check. Getting Princess' help, check. Will come back when we have answers, check." He looked up from the note to address Twilight. "I'll go drop this off at Rarity's, then?"
"No time," she yelled. "The last train is leaving in... oh no! We've got to go now!"
"What about the note?" Spike asked, as he ran behind the frantic pony.
"Just post it on the door! Now let's go!"
The princess of the night smiled as she heard her sister use the old, familiar pet name. It was a term of endearment, but Celestia often used it when she wanted something from the younger alicorn.

"I just need to take care of something in Ponyville." Rainbow Dash said the following morning. "I'll be back later."
"You sure you don't want some company?" Applejack asked, wary at the suddenness of this errand's arrival. She remembered how Rainbow Dash's mood seemed to dip in the past few days. She had gone from an enthusiastic ball of energy to glum and glowering, which confused Applejack all the more since the flying practice had been the pegasus's suggestion in the first place.
From all the time and effort spent trying to convince Applejack to go along with the idea, Rainbow Dash had made it sound like it would have been the best thing ever, short of getting the wings back herself. Seeing her like this made Applejack worry to no end. She had put her all into this training, hoping that Rainbow Dash would see and appreciate the effort. She'd even gotten some of Rainbow's favorite food for dinner, which seemed to work, but its effect had not lasted past the dinner itself. She couldn'

The breeze blew through the trees, making the leaves sway with its passing. It continued on its path, flowing into the only open window in Ponyville's hospital, and gently caressed the heads of the slumbering ponies.
Unused to sleeping with open windows, Applejack found herself waking up thanks to the airborne disturbance. She blinked slowly, lifting her head off of her forelegs, and took stock of her surroundings. Sometime during the night, her head had shifted away from Rainbow's, ending on her outstretched legs that she had clearly used as a somewhat uncomfortable pillow. Rainbow Dash, on the other hoof, had been robbed of Applejack's neck as a support, and had shifted as well. Applejack could only smile as she looked at the slumbering pegasus, her blue head resting on Applejack's back, completely tucked under a wing like a feathered blanket.
Applejack yawned, attempting to clear the cobwebs from her brain, and thought back to the previous night. It had been draining, both physicall

Dash opened her eyes. Thankfully, the first thought that crossed her mind was not related to Applejack. At least her morning would start off on a different note.
unfortunately, her first thought was related to the question 'Why is the room on fire?'
Dash jumped out of her bed. Her first reaction was to look towards Twilight. Her friend was still sleeping, despite the fact that her bed was surrounded by flames.
"Twilight!!" the pegasus shouted as she made her way towards the unicorn. "Twilight, wake up!!"
She started coughing uncontrollably and barely managed to stand up straight as she finally reached her friend's bed. She started shaking the unicorn, trying to wake her up, but to no avail.
She must've passed out! Lack of oxygen!
Trying to calm herself, she looked towards the windows. The curtains became a fiery shield, therefore all her efforts of breaking her way through would've been futile. She quickly turned tow

The orange pony was just standing there, pointing at her neck. Rainbow was just... not quite fully processing the entire situation. Twilight finally managed to close her mouth but, before she could say anything, Rarity was already measuring Applejack from top to bottom.
"...and what exactly happened to you?" the white unicorn asked, not entirely sure if she wanted to know the answer.
"Ah have no idea," Applejack replied.
"You look even more... uh... in-need-of-a-brush than usual," continued Rarity.
"Forget that! Ah have bite-marks on mah neck! Look!" the orange pony explained, showing her marks to the unicorn.
"Did you fall from a window too?" Pinkie's voice was heard from across the bedroom. "Wait, are those bite-marks? You got bitten by the window?! Eek! Have I got bitten too?! Do I have bite-marks?" she yelled, starting to search her body.
Rainbow looked around, trying desperately to find some sort of weird explanation for all this. Even t

Can't we just stay put?
Rainbow froze, looking at the Princess, knowing that she had to move.
Applejack snapped her out of it: "Dash, go get Twilight! Go!!"
The pegasus shook her head violently and soared into the air. She heard the pony crowd gasping; that meant the masked alicorn started attacking again. Rainbow could feel the tension in her wings as she desperately tried to gain speed. Finally she saw the library in the distance and was forced to slow down, to make sure she didn't crash into it.
Luckily for her, a window was open. She landed in the treehouse, shouting after the purple unicorn: "Twilight!!"
The bedroom door opened as Celestia's faithful student poked her head into the room.
"Oh, hey Rainbow... what's"
"No time to explain! Trouble! The Princess needs you, now!" and without further explanation, she grabbed her friend and took off. The unicorn was not used to such means of travel. The ground flew rapidly beneath her as she was t

"Ah'm sorry, wha--?"
Applejack turned towards the blue pegasus. This was becoming slightly annoying.
"I uh... I said that you did a fine job.... today, I mean," replied Rainbow Dash. She quickly pointed at the nearest apple tree. "The apples, all gone. Ha! I never knew how you could get them all down... you know, with a single kick."
Applejack tilted her head to the right. This was surpassing annoying, sliding towards worrying.
"Are you sure you're okay, Rainbow? Y'all seem a bit…" She stopped mid-sentence, not really knowing how to continue.
"Okay? Pff, of course I'm okay! I was just... you know..." she said, ending her phrase with a wide, awkward smile. The pegasus shifted a bit, trying to arrange the bag she was carrying so it wouldn't fall off her back.
Applejack frowned a bit, but decided to ignore this altogether. She had plenty of chores to do today and she had no time for Rainbow's silly pranks or less-than-inspired jokes.

Are you a spy?
The sun shined through the window, filling the little chamber with warm, playful colors. A distant bird was chirping happily, announcing the beginning of spring as the wind kindly caressed the tiny new-born leaves that were decorating the old apple trees.
The blue pegasus lazily opened her eyes, slowly looking around the room. The wooden walls reflected the orange light of the sunrise, as if they were quietly chanting to the rhythm of the clouds, slowly waking up along with the entire farm. A table with a small mirror was resting in a corner, along with a chair and a simple red chest. Rainbow looked at the white, transparent curtains that were swinging slowly, embracing the gentle breeze, as her gaze fell upon the orange pony that was lying next to her, still asleep.
She's so beautiful...
Rainbow let out a small sigh as she looked at her marefriend. It felt so good to finally be able to admit all these thoughts

He didn't even realize what happened. The last thing he remembered was that he was rummaging through the bags on top of the carriage when suddenly he got hit by a hard object and landed on his back. He managed to look towards his older brother, his partner in crime, only to see him on the ground, clutching his face and screaming in pain. Apparently he also got hit by something.
Ropes flew around them, carried by purple magic and they soon found themselves tied up tight. One of the mares the seemingly "scared and weak" mares, as they used to call them everytime they planned a robbery, spoke to the orange one.

Twilight was enjoying the fresh air as she was on her way to Sweet Apple Acres. She was fully recovered from the cave-episode and started working again on her experiments. The day started out rather interesting. She managed to change the colour of a piece of parchment, which proved to be a little more difficult than it seemed. Now she wanted to try it on something more... organic.
"Some apples should be perfect for this," she thought to herself as she strolled near the big red barn. It was still cloudy outside and most of the trees were already starting to change their colours. It would soon be time for the Running of the Leaves Festival. That always gets Rainbow and Applejack in a good mood.
But not today.

"You're always asleep!", replied Applejack moving aside to reveal Twilight who was standing behind her.
"Sorry for the intrusion, Rainbow. I need this plant for my experiments and there's this cave in which I can easily find it... Applejack insisted that we bring along another pony to make sure we get there and back safely", explained the purple unicorn.
Rainbow landed softly on her bed, scratching her head. "So why didn't you get somepony else?"
"Everypony else is busy."
The pegasus let out an audible sigh and shook her head. "I can't even remember last time I had a good night sleep". Wait, actually...she could remember. She looked up at her friends and just nodded. "Alright, let's get this over with."

NOW you wanna talk?!
Muffled voices were running around Rainbow's mind. She rubbed her forehead trying to make sense of it all.
"Pinkie! What are you doing here?"
"I could ask you the same thing, Rainbow!" replied the pink pony frowning. "I understand when you girls hide stuff related to my super secret awesome birthday party, but my birthday is a few months away! So what gives?"
The voices kept growing louder and louder. She was starting to lose her patience.
"I have no idea what you're talking about!"
"Well I think you do! And you're not the only one who does I think you and Applejack--"
The door suddenly swung open and the aforementioned earth pony walked in. Rainbow's heart skipped a beat. Applejack stopped, confused, seeing the other two in the room. She quickly glanced at the door's number.

"Pillow fiiiiight!!" yelled Applejack as she launched one of her pillows towards Rarity. To everypony's surprise, Rarity actually avoided the shot. She then grabbed the nearest pillow and counter-attacked her enemy.
A good pillow fight is probably required, as Twilight would say, at every slumber party. Not because it's written in the book, but just because they're fun. Even Fluttershy joined the girls as they screamed and giggled in the night. Soon, the entire floor was covered in feathers. It's almost a miracle that their half-empty glasses of refreshing drinks were sparred.
Rainbow was under a pile of books, recovering from one of Pinkie's pillow-shots, when she heard Twilight calling out to them. "We should really get to our beds, girls. It's almost 3 AM and—" she giggled as she avoided a flying pillow. "—and Spike won't be able to sleep with us making such a racket. He's still a baby dragon, after all."

Vinyl's grin spread across her cheeks, arching an eyebrow for good measure. Octavia gaped at her for a second, before experiencing a moment of blushing realisation. Her voice turned to a hushed whisper, tinted with laughter.
"Vinyl, you really can be so forward sometimes."
"What, I didn't suggest anything. Not thinking dirt thoughts about us again, Octavia?"
"Oh, but you...You really are the most irritating tease, are you aware of that?"
"I aim to please, m'lady."
"Well, I was feeling something more towards a nice, relaxing drink than anything else."
Vinyl gently raised her shades from over her eyes with the tip of a hoof, narrowing her eyes in an intently scrutinising expression.

Vinyl and Bonbon got comfortable in the seating area once again, while Lyra and Octavia reclaimed their space on the stage. Each found the sheet music they had scattered around in their standoff, and pored over it together. The problem being, of course, that Octavia couldn't sleep. But an hour ago, this had been something of an advantage during the nighttime activities. Now though, it kept her mind turning over the same niggling doubts, snowballing them into overbearing worries and trepidations. She glanced at her...partner. Mounting entries on her to-do list coupled with a draining amount of time in which to attend to them had made Octavia somewhat irritable. The night of the Gala was upon them, and she was expected to be in attendance with her ensemble in no less than an hour. As such, it was very much to her chagrin that she discovered Vinyl asleep on the bed, where she should have already begun changing into her outfit.
A burst of sharp jabs to the stomach remedied the situation, and Vinyl's bleary eyes were met with the sight of a rather indignant Octavia bearing down on her.
"Vinyl, are you asleep?!"
A brief respite was given from the intent glare, as Vinyl's hooves shakily rubbed her eyes.

Octavia took her turn to gasp in a most theatrical manner, once more jabbing her bow in Vinyl's direction.

Octavia brought her cello up on its stand, giving it a showmarely twirl before locking it against her shoulder and beginning to play. Octavia shifted slightly, causing her stomach to quake. It was far later than her usual breakfast time, maybe she should break away from Vinyl for a moment to gather up some food.
"Are you hungry, Vinyl?"
"Sorta, got any Cheerileeos?"
"I have pancakes. Will pancakes do?"
"Only if they're the big, flat pancakes. Not those little, fat dumpy ones."
Octavia groaned. "Yes, yes, I will make you some crepes. You'll just need to get off me first."

Octavia braced herself against the sofa's back, pushing Vinyl onto the floor. She casually stepped over her, before going into the kitchen to prepare their pancakes.
