This week in The Line it is Drawn, the theme is power swap... or what if a character had another one's power... I chose Spider Jerusalem because he's one of my all-time favorite characters. And it's political time, he puts me just in the mood. I think I'm re-reading all Transmetropolitan for the fifth time.

Full gallery here, some mighty pieces there:

Girls and boys, this week in The Line it is Drawn, as a homage to Ray Bradbury, we have comic book characters in famous science fiction stories.

This is maybe Harlan Ellison's most famous story, with good reason. Treat yourselves and go read it. And if Harlan is surfing the web, I hope he doesn't get too mad at yours truly...

This one is a commission for a regular-- I really, really enjoy this one, so share it and spread the word, okay? Not that I'm baiting for a daily deviation, but this one is way better than the only one I currently have. ;)

See you guys and gals at Baltimore Comic-Con this weekend!

Ah, the sketch-dump. It's a beautiful thing, sharing so many pieces at the same time-- tossing them out there into the internet void and hoping for the best. Nice to get 'em off my back, I guess. :)

Here's a sketch of the BAT-FAMILY, with HUNTRESS, NIGHTWING, BATMAN, and ROBIN. This one was done for the Weekly Sketch Group at PencilJack.com in a prompt that called for Huntress-- I couldn't stop there, had too much fun working on it.

Enjoy!

Still working away at this a little each day before my regular work. Just trying to show process and how I build up the commission.

I've got the previous stages here on my blog, and a larger version of this image here.

When I ink my own commissions I don't really need anything more detailed than this in the backgrounds especially. I'll post up process shots as I ink through this a little each day.

You can also read more about my process here on my blog
