Casey laid awake that night, thinking about what Faze had said. And about Jade. The conversation in the hallway had sent him into spiral of emotions and he didn't know what to think.
Jade had never mentioned Faze, but he couldn't believe they'd ever been a couple. But there did seem to be a lot she was hiding. He felt guilty when he realized he was curious about what it could be. How did Faze know what she looked like underneath her hair? Had she shown him?

"Yeah, yeah, his house is nice and crap," Nessa said, pressing her cell phone to her ear. She plunked her suitcase on top of the bed and sat next to it, crossing her legs. Her shorts rode up slightly and she tugged at them a little, though there was no one else around to see the skin.
"Is it, honey?" Amanda responded, sounding soft yet eager to know the details. "Tell me."
Nessa glanced around with mild exasperation at the room Ty had pronounced hers, the pictures of paintings on the walls that she'd completed when she was little, the bookshelf filled with her favorite books, the pink quilt stretched across the wooden-framed bed. She told her mother of the rustic feel to the cabin, how it was all made from cut wood and glass, and how it smelled of pine and was decorated with paintings and taxidermy.
She even gave Amanda a detailed description of the view from her bedroom window, which looked down a hill over the tops of the emerald trees and stretched out toward Yellowstone Park itself
